For the time I was looking I thought it was a joke that Penn was a platypus but no one knew what a platypus was so they just thought “half penguin half mammal” until I got to the first post you made for her-

The truth is Gwin was kind of made in a lab. But she does have some platypus in her!

Finally got around to making a character page for my Club Penguin OC, Gwin!

Covered by white fur, with a tummy of brown feathers, she’s a hybrid of a penguin and some kind of mammal. Her goal in life is finding out as much as possible about her parentage. Not for a possible encounter with her biological parents (that she believes abandoned her), but for scientific reasons alone.

Has a chill attitude, goes with the flow. Doesn’t get angry easily. She enjoys getting on grumpy people’s nerves with a stoic humor.

Raised by wilderness puffles. She considers them to be her real family and will go to great lengths to keep them safe.

She can understand their speech and has even decoded their squeaks in her own dictionary.

Her full name is Penn Gwin, given to her by the puffles. As Gwin notes, puffles are smart, but straightforward creatures. Since she looked similar to a common penguin, that's the name they chose to give her.

Because of this fostering, Gwin has nearly no social skills and fails to understand certain social cues. She's no stranger to feelings, however, and knows what it means to be fond of someone, or to dislike them.

An intelligent, prodigious learner, she has an endless sense of curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Figured out how to lay low from a young age, and has been stealing books, VHS tapes and other resources from penguins since then, never getting caught. Learned everything she knows, from speaking english to math and other subjects, by thoroughly studying the treasures she brought home from her escapades.  

While she conducts research on her own origins and biology, she spends her free time building robots and mechanical apparatuses. Making machines act as extensions of her body is her favorite hobby, and she loves creating mecha suits.

Managed to stay under the radar in Club Penguin Island for many years, until her love for building machinery got the best of her and she began to take more risks for assembling required parts. Her intentional carelessness led her to begin to get her presence noticed by penguins and other Island inhabitants, eventually encountering a secret agent and getting information on her existence spread within the agency.

Doesn’t intentionally go out of her way to stir trouble on the island, aside from stealing items on an occasional basis. However, due to how little is known about her, even within EPF grounds, she is considered to be somewhat of a threat, someone agents must be cautious of.
