penelope is seen as viperous at the salvatore school because of her public relationship and breakup with josie

and she admits that she can be

but she can't admit that the reason everything ended the way it did was because she was scared

scared of the way she felt, scared of what everyone would think

her mind was constantly telling her to run. to save herself from pain, to save josie from pain
