Paula Marshall

Paula was cast in 911 fox as Helena Diaz, Eddie's mother. She first appears in episode 2x18.

She has been in a wide variety of a TV shows and films since 1989, notably appearing in season 2 of 'Sports Night', with Peter Krause. She also appeared in season 2 of 'Spin City' (as the girlfriend of Michael J. Fox's character) opposite Connie Britton.

You may know her from 'Hellraiser III', or more recently as Marsha Jacobs in the TV series 'Euphoria'.

Paula was born in Maryland, USA. Her second husband is Danny Nucci who plays LAFD Detective Rick Romero in 911 fox. She met Danny whilst filming the 1997 comedy directed by the late Carl Reiner, 'That Old Feeling' (see gifset here).

The pilot of 1990's The Flash premiered on September 20, 1990. The character of Iris West (Paula Marshall) didn't crossover to the ongoing series. The TV movie showed the origins of Barry Allen (John Wesley Shipp) becoming the Flash. Shipp would also cameo as the Flash in Arrow (2018), Supergirl (2018), and the Flash (2014 - 2023). Can I also give a shout out to Danny Nucci as Detective Rick? He's one of my other favorite side characters. I know he's been in a handful of episodes over the entire series, but I FINALLY looked up what he was in cause he looked familiar. Turns out I remember him from a movie called That Old Feeling starring Bette Midler. A movie I randomly decided to rent from Blockbuster (yes, I'm old), and actually really enjoyed. Tho, its been a hot minutes since I've seen it. But I do remember being quite smitten with Danny in it.

Funny thing is? His love interest in that movie was the actress who plays Eddie's mother, and I then I realized THAT was where I recognized her from!
