I can see in the the dark too
Theres no way back now
now that you know, all that gloom was never really yours
and that Yours is the Moonlight
and Christmas lights.
It was never really yours, and with proper lighting
you can See
oceans yellow dots far away, getting closer
once you, in the coaster, Take your shoes off to run towards
Step on the ground until theres no ground
trust the watery night
Step into the light, for even in the deepest depths of the darkest of the nights,
You can still see.
That blinding darkness was never really yours.

Isle of youth so much
Why do I care (so much) about words when
I have
Heard all the right ones and felt none of
Them, at all?
I know,
No jury could comndem
If I ever decided to never hear again.
And yet,
I guess I just didn’t get.
This art of naming things.
Why would I care? (So much)
I’m smart now, therefore I’m aware.
I once hoped hearing and saying
would mean, as if magic
And somehow: no tragedy
That somehow he Felt.
But it is no spell
And in Hell (I testify) the unloved heard
I love you
four thousand times (so much)
Emptied words like a bottle of fine evaporated wine
Once thought to be worth millions
(Precisely, Seven)
Well my Lips are sealed now and ready for
Heaven.

Underwater Acoustics
See, lately I hear
every song that played when we first met
but the sound is underwater.
Slow-paced rhythm, you find yourself
word fishing, now carefully catching
each previously unseen letter
each word losing its meaning
and gaining another one.
Unfalling in love
is tapping the moss covered glass
realising yourself to be
the disturbed fish.
Breaking the Aquarium
Failing
but also Sailing
to an unrequested yet welcomed — no choice but to welcome
— Sea.

Mas o Ar faz a mesma coisa, e o Tempo faz a mesma coisa, e ninguém perde tempo tendo medo do Ar.
menos do mar.

The easiest number to remember
What number would I give then
as an emergency contact?
A simple question but the One that
Keeps me up at night, making my coward heart beat furiously out of my dry, dyscalculic mouth
I never liked numbers as I never seemed capable to remember them
A simple combination I'm unable to recall, everytime
What is my Zipcode? Or an Id, a second more recent mobile number
A friends number, a friend's apartment, a number on a street
I'm able to retain numbers for less of a second, just barely enough to copy to paper, or the screen, or the woman in from of me, asking me, unaware of anything wrong with the question What number would I give
as an emergency contact?
Simple combination of spoken words and yet so many terrible things are numbers
What's my number?
For my hotness, my Value
For The day I will die
The age I will be then
The price I will pay
The people who care
Zero is the easiest yet hardest number to remember.

House of Literate Ghosts
Does he ever crave a coffee, like the rest of us?
Sitting still, hands on cheek
eyes resting calmly on the blackboard
calm thoughts passing by, ready to mismatch
the emotional riot — Peacefully.
Slow-breathing genius of tensed arms and messes
But does he ever crave for coffee?
His presence surely to impregnate
Like broken bottles of
good perfume
While he (decaffeinated?)
simply contemplates, quietly.
Quietly, doesn’t he know
I long to know
What books rest on his bookshelves?
Or scattered around a messed up floor of a house filled with
literate ghosts
You seem to care not about caring
And yet caring too much:
the weight, the past, the backpack but not the coffee
strangely never the coffee.
First you ran and now you walk
Walk with a purpose to never look back
never look back and sideways
and forward
and to me.

Marco Polo
encontrei o soar do recíproco,
e o som que realmente importa.

Sobrepondo Celofanes
No meu excesso me fiz invisível

E iria, mas igual se encontra uma chave do carro;

When one explains of death
When one explains of death one should not have to do so with such politeness
Rawness yes and beautifully, yes, but not this Fucking politeness
And yet I hear the expected words coming out of my mouth, I see them as I type
The Words expected so I, accepted, Remain
although emptied, Im allowed
to stay
In my loss I’m alone
and by comforting others who have others
-I’m okay.
Will I, even now, act willingly
On this play
Or am I dead too, or
too dead to notice
My remains possessed by cordiality.

You’re never alone
Sooner or later you discover
the women inside, that you cannot see
but they’re carrying you home, wherever that may be.
Its when you cannot rise they stand
beside you, behind you
their voices on your ears whispering
alone can you
not only make it
but make it better.
And you owe them to listen, to
Your grandmother whose heart was broken twice
You owe her to Mend your own
Get on
with yours broken only by you, and wisely
and Worthly.
To your tired tireless obedient mother
who always did what she had to,
knowing life but never laughter
You owe her to battle, always
but with music on, shoes off,
an unapologetic nap, a cat
and fresh fucking
Flowers.
Believe me you owe them, even to your
overly emotional aunt
the one that called you crazy because
She never saw you but a mirror.
For every tear and drop of blood she ever shed
on the same floor she would one day rest
You owe her to get up
and run.
Run sooner
than later, but even if later
Run while crying, run feeling,
And while wishing
to stay,
Run, anyway.
Sooner or later you discover
the women inside of you.
And you may have hated them
and loved them and lost them
They will find you, anyway,
they never left.
Their voices whispering
You may not have to, but alone you can
make it.
Since conception there were three of you,
Alone you can make it
And You’re never alone,
Sooner or later you discover.

Ligeiramente diferente

Later in the night
Later in the night and I hate
Everyone that is loved
with a misplaced passion once meant for
Something else.
Later in the night and I’m sure
I’m ready To leave
If not my body and myself
At least You
And as I lie here together feeling
The fear I fear I’d feel alone
Later in the night and I’m ready
To be alone and afraid, elsewhere.
