sometimes its so crazy to realize that there's actually a lot of things i like. that i thought i didn't like because i was a depressed teenager. i love being outside! i love swimming! i love talking to people! even strangers sometimes! i love getting dressed in fun outfits and doing makeup! i love reading and going to art museums! i just thought i was doomed forever to a life of complete and total apathy and void! and now look at me! still a little shaky but i'm doing it!!!!!

I’ve always been a luke forgiver but recently I’ve fully become an apologist bc u know what I’m 18 (almost 19) and I now understand that luke was fully a child like he should’ve been able to rely on a parental figure at 19 he should’ve been able to rely on any adult at all bc 19 is not the fully fledged independent adult ya fiction presents it to be. he was just a boy in need of support. like it’s such an obvious conclusion that he would rebel when he has never been able to rely on an adult in his life bc of the gods and the systems they’ve put in place

#the systems are also what corrupted his mum?? like the oracle is a part of the system and his mum went crazy bc of it #also I mean forgiver as in I always thought he was attractive even just reading the books and I’ve always sympathized w him #but now I fully defend him bc u know what 19 is basically a child #and he had no business essentially raising a child who is only 7-8 years younger than him #luke castellan #pjo

There's an English class on Golden Age detective fiction being offered next semester but the prerequisite for it is the intro to literary study class required for all English majors (which I haven't taken because I'm in a hard STEM major and don't have much time for electives, which means that I have to be really picky with my electives and only go for stuff I like AND doesn't have an awful workload) and also even if I did have that prereq, I wouldn't be able to take the class because it's at the same time as one of my major reqs. And also I'll be in two labs next semester and one of them is pure hell so like I literally don't have the time to take more than 13 credit hours (as tempting as it is to keep up my streak of taking 17-18 every semester even though it's been like really pretty bad for my social life and hobbies). Sigh. (Pressing my hand wistfully against the glass) maybe someday they'll offer the class again

#.txt #at least i had a blast in my sci-fi class this semester #i don't talk about sf on this blog because that's what my secret main is for but guys i LOVE sf you should read more sf #i'm currently sitting at an a+ in that class and my professor has been giving me SUCH good feedback on all my assignments #he used one of my short essays as the class example (which has never happened to me before!)#and also asked if he could use my creative writing midterm project as an example for future classes #and on the last day of class he quickly went through some powerpoint slides recapping the class #and on one of them he had a drawing i submitted as part of a different creative assignment :)#also we read a book from one of my all-time favorite authors in that class AND he visited our class too which was absolutely insane #won't mention the author's name because his books comprise like half the posts on my main. i'm insaaaaane i'm craaaazyyy #currently trying to figure out which topic to write my final paper on but i will definitely be writing about that book #english classes are actually such a morale boost #the only reason i'm not an english major is because that would actually for real kill me #i'm good at writing essays but the process is actually agonizing and i'm a ridiculous perfectionist when it comes to writing #so combining that with poorly medicated adhd means that i almost never turn essays in on time #and spend way too long suffering over each one to make sure they're as perfect as i can get them to be (unattainable standard)#and then they also always end up going way over the word count #for my crime fiction class in the spring i wrote a 19-page final paper about decagon house when i only needed a minimum of 8 #and i honestly could have written even more but i had to stop myself because the paper was already like 2 or 3 days late #and i had been staying up until dawn every night trying to finish it #so basically i can hardly handle having ONE english class #having to take multiple and turn in so many essays on a regular basis is a literal death sentence #i'm taking 2 upper level classes for my other major (haven't declared it yet though) this semester #and i have to write final papers for both of them :') and the instructions are super vague and they're due in a WEEK #one of them is SLIGHTLY more clear because i just need to write about the results of my research project #however. i was unfortunately only given 3 weeks (one of which was thanksgiving so basically i was only given 2)#to design and execute this whole project #and i got a little too ambitious (as i tend to do) and even though i ended up cutting out a lot of the stuff i wanted to do from the projec #it'll still definitely take ages to finish (conducted my experiments yesterday and spent 11 hours in that building. hell on earth)#and that's on top of needing to study for and take 3 final exams...

waitt i just realized no wonder lotus has been stressed as hell.. cuz if the exit is a 9 door, itll be hard as hell for her to leave..... i think..

#cuz the 'goal' is to have max survivors so essentially 5 numbers w digital root of 9 #and bc lowest possible initial digital sum (12345) is 15 and highest (56789) is 35 #the only numbers between that range w digital roots of 9 is 18 and 27 #and w the 9th man dead and now snake #theres no 5 number combination w initial digital sum of 18 that has 8 (lotus) in it; as 12348 was the only possibilty #so lotus can only rely on being part of a group that has the initial digital sum of 27 #which is tricky.. cuz she needs 4 people who add up to 19 #and i think the only combination of that from the survivors are 3457 and 1567 #and even if say she betrays the group somehow and leaves w a smaller party #bc her number is so high... even that becomes quite limited for her #like wksjhs im too lazy to keep calculating but im p sure junpei as 5 is best off cuz theres so many possible combinations he can part of #999 lb

had a conversation about gym class with my friend who I went to school with today - it was depressing but also nice to hear that her experience with it (at that particular school) was just as bad as mine.

I don't think the way my school treated gym class was entirely normal tbh. it was completely different to the school I went to after, anyway. and everyone I talked to there only knew gym class to be a pretty fun, lighthearted thing. at my old school it was only about achievement, you had to be perfect, if not you were usually yelled at. and if you couldn't participate because you were feeling a bit ill (but not enough to stay home from school) you were ridiculed and/or insulted in front of the whole class. this happened with every gym teacher we had over the whole 9 years there.

it felt like two hours of punishment, there was nothing good about it. and it made at least the both of us feel like any kind of exercise/sport, especially in a group setting, was terrifying - for years after. even my much more positive experience at the other school I went to didn't make that go away.

#maybe my school really just sucked #I mean I already know it did. but maybe it did in even more ways than I thought #maybe it's a Gymnasium thing. idk. any Germans please feel free to comment if gym class at your school was like this #and it wasn't just because we were bad at sports or anything. I got very good grades in gym class at the other school. and my friend does a #ton of different sports now and everything #I remember there was a girl in my class who got a 1 (the best grade) in every other class and a 4 (out of 6) in gym class. and the teacher #was so fucking awful and gleeful about it. he made fun of her so much.#I'm pretty sure I was about to get a 6 in gym class right before I dropped out - and that definitely played a part tbh. I just couldn't #spend one more second with that gym teacher. he was horrible and gross and mean (and sexually harassed girls at another school! but of #course he was still allowed to teach at our school!! ľ #anyway. gym class was the worst part of my (already not great) life from 11 to 19 so I hope all my old gym teachers break both their legs :)#except one. he was really nice to us and didn't do any of the stuff the others did. but we only had him for a year in between all the other #ones so it wasn't enough :(#like one of our (female!!) teachers would loudly make fun of girls who said they couldn't participate because they were on their period and #in too much pain.#in front of everyone. when we were like 13.#I hate that woman more than any of the others.#lol it's funny how like half of my issues are because of my parents and the other half is because of that fucking school #I will never forgive my mother for forcing me to go there and never letting me change schools even though I asked to for 8 fucking years #personal

#number 1 is the version of my oc freddie who appears in my eighties au (currently bumping around in my head)#number 2 is teddy as he appears in my eighties au but if im honest its more of a fusion of him and bacchus from thoma no shinzou #number 3 is teddy classic! wearing his classic look (haughty and rueful)#i like doing little miniature-inspired portraits like that one and also by cutting a piece of paper into A6 it can fit 4 or even 8 drawings!#number 4 is deffo the oldest one here i must have been 19 when i drew it... oldest piece in my little drawing pad.#part of a series of studies/interpretations i was doing of the antinous statue at the BM #and number 5 is another oc! daniel! hes so pathetic but his wig IS MAGNIFICENT #to be honest im not qualified to paint it youd need a landscape artist to do that thing justice... still #i hope you like them 😊 i dont often show off my hobbies on here
