Finding Peace of Mind at the Perfect Price: A Guide to Life Insurance in Fort Wayne and Bluffton
When strolling through the streets of Bluffton or catching a game at Parkview Field in Fort Wayne, the last thing to worry about is the possibility of the unexpected event. Life insurance provides a sense of security, ensuring that one’s loved ones will be financially supported in the event of their absence.
Notwithstanding, understanding the world of policies and premiums can be quite challenging and overwhelming. Fear not! This guide provides the necessary knowledge to find the best deal on life insurance in Fort Wayne and Bluffton, allowing individuals to enjoy a juicy Fort Wayne Komets game without any insurance-related concerns.
Step 1: First, it is important to have a clear understanding of one’s needs and desires.
Prior to delving into quotes, it is important to determine the type of life raft that is required. Term life insurance provides coverage for a set duration, such as 20 or 30 years, at a more affordable cost. Consider it as a temporary shield for inclement weather. Whole life insurance, in contrast, remains by one’s side faithfully until the end, accumulating cash value over time that can be accessed if necessary. It resembles an all-weather jacket – more expensive, but consistently reliable. Universal life policies combine elements of both, providing flexibility in case one’s needs change in the future.
Step 2: Emphasize the importance of comparison!
Similar to sampling various pies at the Bluffton Farmers Market, it is essential to explore different quotes before making a decision. Avoid hastily accepting the initial offer that presents itself. Online life insurance marketplaces such as Policygenius and Quotacy provide the convenience of connecting individuals with multiple insurers quickly. Another option is to contact independent insurance agents located in Fort Wayne and Bluffton. These professionals can serve as personal guides, skillfully maneuvering through the complex world of insurance to find the most suitable policy for one’s specific requirements and financial situation.
Step 3: Transparency is Key when Dealing with Uncle Sam (and the Insurance Guy)
Always remember that honesty is the best policy (notice the clever wordplay?). When applying, it is important to provide information about any pre-existing health conditions or hobbies that may be considered risky, such as skydiving. Although it may be tempting to be less than truthful, it's important to keep in mind that insurance companies have methods of uncovering the truth. A small falsehood could potentially invalidate one’s coverage at a time when one’s loved ones require it the most. Embrace transparency and enjoy the benefits of a policy that genuinely safeguards interests.
Step 4: Embrace the art of negotiation
Negotiating premiums extends beyond used car lots! After obtaining a few quotes, inform the insurers about the competition. Engaging in some friendly negotiation can occasionally help policy holders save a few extra dollars, allowing them to keep more money in their wallet while experiencing the warm hospitality of Indiana.
Additional Tip: Life Insurance Can Be Flexible!
As life evolves, insurance needs can also change. It is advisable to periodically review the policy to ensure its continued suitability. Consider it a financial spring cleaning. Make sure the coverage stays up to date with the changes with time.
Whether for life insurance or commercial insurance in Decatur and Bluffton, Indiana, exploring the finest insurance options in Fort Wayne and Bluffton doesn't need to be a puzzle. By following these steps and putting in a little effort, one can secure peace of mind at a price that won't cause any distress. Now, venture forth with knowledge and confidence to discover the life insurance that suits the best. Now, anyone interested in trying out pork tenderloin sandwiches at Coney Island?

Carl Perkins, c. 1956, Sun publicity photo, edit from my collection. Second is the first home of Carl and his wife Valda, Parkview Courts, Jackson, TN.
• 1 of 12 Days of Christmas •
On Dec 17, 1955, Carl wrote 'Blue Suede Shoes,' it was recorded two days later at Sun, it wouldn't be released until Feb 11, 1956. At 23, he had no clue it'd become a rock and roll classic, instead, he hustled for money that winter. His other recordings at Sun weren't selling, he made enough to live on playing at nightclubs but not enough for presents. Carl wanted his kids to have the Christmas, he never had as a kid, even if it meant breaking the promise he made to himself at 14 -- To never work another cotton field unless it was his land, but he didn't own any. With such little means, he had no choice.
While working a row, an old man asked, 'You look like that sanger,' Carl nodded. 'What you doin’ out here? You just out here for the exercise?' He felt a twinge of shame and frustration from his words, he ended up cutting his fingers on the sharp husks, like he had when he was a boy, but he finished and got his money.
He and Val went to John, A Parker and Seed Company, with 9-month-old daughter Debby and 1½-year-old son Stan. Carl held Stan at his hip, pointing out a 3$ red wagon to Parker, he wanted. Parker brought it from the shelve, asking, 'Is this for that boy?' Carl answered, 'Yes, sir.' He warned, 'this wagon’s too little,' Carl said, 'Well, he’ll just pull it.' Again, 'He can’t ride in it.' Carl tried to hide his embarrassment, that wagon was all he could afford. They left with gifts, Stan a wagon, Debby a doll.
Christmas morning, the joy on Stan's face faded Parker's warnings. Carl helped Stan onto it, immediately it tipped over, he fell on the concrete floor, Carl quickly scooped him up, no amount of comfort from Carl or Valda could stop him from crying, a sizable knot swelled on the back of his head. Carl couldn’t take it anymore, he stormed out the back door and stood on the stoop outside and cried.
He was humiliated that his best efforts to do right by his family weren't enough, all it did was just bring pain, tears fell as he looked heavenward, quietly he said. 'My mama raised me to go to church. I know, I haven’t been living as good as I should, I know I could do better, but I’m not a mean man. I never robbed, never stole nothing. I was taught better than that.' He collected himself, then said, 'but Lord, this is it. If by next Christmas I can’t get that big wagon for my boy if I can’t buy my girl as pretty a doll as the other girls have in town. I’m tellin’ you, Lord, you’re gonna have a thief on your hands to deal with, I’ll take my shotgun and rob a service station if I have to get it.'
Swallowing his heartache in his throat, he looked up. '…I need your help.'

Making History
By Logan Maloley
Photos provided by Jamie Maloley
On Friday, November 11, the Pawnee City football team beats Arthur County in the D6 Semi-Finals of the State Playoff games. After a long, 6 hour trip, the boys win with a final score of 66-54. Andy Maloley led the team with 5 touchdowns, followed by Jett Farwell with 2 and Anthony Kling with 1. There were 235 rushing yards, 168 receiving yards, 83 kickoff return yards, and 1 interception yard coming to a total of 487 yards. On the defensive side, there were a total of 64 tackles, and Anthony Kling held the only interception for the team.
When asked what the key was to winning this game, Head Coach Scott Brumbaugh said, “We talk about three keys to winning every football game. One is to win the special team game, and we did. The second is to win the penalty battle, again we did. The last is to limit the turnovers, that we didn't win. I believe winning the special team battle was huge in this game. They kept kicking onsides and giving us a short field. Joey did a great job of kicking deep and keeping it away for their good return specialist. Of course, the reason was the kids always battled and believed they could win.”
Coach Brumbaugh also said that he hopes to take the success the boys had slowing down the offense and limiting big plays into the next game.
Andy Maloley added, “I hope we can take the fight we had in this game into the state championship.” He said that when the odds are stacked against them, they need to drive adversity into the ground.
Tomorrow, November 18, the football team will play in the STATE CHAMPIONSHIP, for the first time in Pawnee City history, against Parkview Christian at University of Nebraska Kearney. Good luck boys!
