Got into a car accident on Monday when I was driving 71mph and the other driver was going >90mph and I just keep thinking about how I got out of it without my airbags even going off and just a little bit of soft tissue damage. Quite cold today. It's 44 degrees warmer inside my refrigerator. But the temperature would have to drop 20 more degrees to match what I remember as the coldest outdoor air I've ever experienced at home. That's actual temperature, not the "feels like" stuff weather people use to remind us we live in the tundra.

The dogs went outside briefly to relieve themselves. Normally they go in and out the doggy door a few times throughout the morning. Maybe a squirrel or rabbit returned to the yard? Can't hurt to check again. Not today though. Ella is upstairs on the bed, snuggling with Sheila who doesn't feel good. Oliver and Sulley made blanket and pillow forts on the couch and appear nearly lifeless.

I'm off work today, because of the holiday. I'm quietly cleaning and doing laundry. Later though, I will need to get out of the house--maybe go to the mall and walk. Don't worry, I don't have a polyester track suit or shoes with Velcro closures. Yet.

Though it's not really part of the job, I can and will block a street to momentarily move a turtle across. There's a lot of water in the area, so a lot of street turtles. Luckily, my temporary route is 90% back roads and neighborhoods, so I'm not actually obstructing traffic. It was a nice Saturday afternoon, so literally no one was out on the roads. I just thought this phrasing was funny.

Toyota APM 2020/2023. Some of the Accessible People Movers that were originally designed for the (delayed) 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games have been repurposed and transformed into cat buses for the Expo Aichi Memorial Park in the Japanese city of Nagakute. The cat buses have been designed to resemble the cat character from the 1988 Studio Ghibli animated film My Neighbour Tortoro. The APM is fully electric with a range of 100km and a top speed of 20km/h (12 mph). There were around 200 APMs made for the Olympics, it’s unclear how many have been turned into cats
