the thing i immediately LOVE about the pale garden and the creaking is that it kinda feels to me like they're trying to emulate the creep factor that old minecraft had. the low visibility, the emptiness, the unfamiliar sounds, the feeling that something else is there just out of sight... the same elements that led to the rise of herobrine and other stories, and are now seeing a resurgence with the rise of args and digital horror series. looking into a dark forest and seeing a set of glowing eyes staring back at you is the exact same horror that herobrine was built on. seeing them showcase this biome felt like a throwback all the way to back when i first booted up the game more than a decade ago and felt an immense sense of unease as i looked to the horizon, and i absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this update.

i know we have a lot of flowers in game already, but i think they should add white rose bushes to the pale garden

its more forest than garden rn so some more foliage besides trees would probably help w/ the whole vibe theyre going for

also its more dark gray-green than pale rn so i hope they lighten up the textures a lil bit

[Minecraft winter drop spoilers but it’s just from the Minecraft socials]

So obviously Minecraft has just come out with some new blocks that are going into testing on bedrock for the winter drop. And like, man I’m SO excited yall should have hopped on sooner.

This test implements the eye blossoms, which bloom as eyes only at night, as well as resin blocks from the trees. Once again, I cannot keep emphasizing just how much each of these little details makes it seem like the pale garden is going for the route of something truly *alive*.

Obviously, I don't mean alive in the sense of a general ecosystem, because of course it is, but something so ancient, and massive like the aspen Pando, and almost sort of aware. It is silent in the day, it notices the players presence, the lack of mobs makes the land safe, if not a bit tense. It needs to protect itself at night, so its puppets, the *limb* of the garden, stand in the dark ready to defend. Now, the eye blossoms, telling by the name could become part of the gardens sensory system, considering just how dark the land becomes each night. How else would the garden know to send its puppets out, to recognize threat, which very well could be you? And the resin, which in my opinion is one of the most interesting, could become the pale gardens final attempt at self-preservation. Often, trees use resin to act as a sort of scab or Band-Aid, and it very obviously knows its way around defense systems, why not go the extra mile? The garden knows you're hurting it, though I do wonder to what extent of feeling. And all for a set of wood.

I know of a plant that would be PERFECT for the Pale Gardens biome that is coming up in Minecraft.

The Ghost Plant

This plant would fit in perfectly with the pale gardens, and the best part about it is that it turns dark black a while after being plucked!

I think that is awesome, and on top of that, bees visit them for pollen! Making it easy to incorporate with the other flowers.

Since it feeds off fungi, it can grow in dark places, making it an amazing fit for the Pale Gardens.

there's currently a suggestion about the new minecraft update on twitter to add some additional stuff to the new pale garden biome, and one of those things is a soul fire jack o' lantern (in a white pumpkin) and if that gets added, i need an advancement for making it solely for it to be a minecraft story mode reference. i don't care that "collecting a pumpkin" isn't a challenge, i need [I Am The White Pumpkin] or [What Color is Winslow?] in the game as an advancement.

I am endlessly encanted with the new biome and new mob. The name "The Creaking" is a fantastic fit for a monster that lives and is made of wood, but the name the Pale Garden really caught my eye. Naming it a "garden" implies something not naturally grown, but something cultivated, something made. Fascinating!
