A quick story about Moonstone Parody.
Elijah Cartman walked to Yumi Park and she gave him a friendship bracelet. Neela Arya said, “These things are for lovers.” Elijah got very embarrassed and hid it inside his sleeve. Charlotte Garrison heard that and took him to Fairytale Wonderland.
Paige was eating an apple and Charlotte took it away. “Do you wanna get POISONED?!” she asked. Paige finally remembered. She opened the portal that leads to the Charming Kingdom by retracing the circle with her wand and shoved the duo in.
In the Charming Kingdom, the trio searched high and low for Prince Charming. Charlotte heard a clatter. She took a peep in the closet and Prince Charming is in there! “Prince Charming?!” cried Charlotte. The prince sighed. “I’m too shy to give her a glass slipper she left last night at the ball,” he told her. “Could you give it to her?” Charlotte nodded and grabbed Elijah’s hand. “C’mon Elijah,” she said. “We’ve got a princess to find!”
While on a quest for Cinderella, Rumpelstiltskin appeared. “Well well,” he said. “What do we get here? A glass slipper?! Pfah! That’s marshmallowy!” An annoyed Charlotte said to him, “This is a gift for Cinderella. So, don’t do silly stuff about it…Okay?” Rumpelstiltskin nodded. Charlotte gave him the slipper. But as soon as she gave it to him, he snatched it and ran away. “Hey!” Charlotte shouted.
The trio ran after the elf. “Give that back!” yelled Paige. Rumpelstiltskin shook his head. Ooh, he’s gonna get it! Paige said to herself. She waved her wand and a barrier appeared right in front of Rumpelstiltskin. “You’re not going anywhere!” she said. She snatched the slipper from him. “Alright, alright, you got me…”
Phew… Charlotte thought. I only thought that we were DOOMED when Rumpelstiltskin dropped it in the well. The trio went to Cinderella’s house. “Ms. Cinderella?” Paige asked while knocking on the door. Cinderella opened the door. “Hello!” she said. “Can I help you guys?” Charlotte gave Cinderella the slipper. “This is for you,” she said. “The Prince wants you to have it. You left it last night when you were in the ball” Cinderella gasps in delight. “Thank you!” she said. “I left it on the staircase…”
The trio went to the Charming Castle. “Hey, Princey,” Charlotte called. “We delivered the slipper to your girlfriend.” The Prince gasped. “You did?!” he cried. “Thank you so much!” There was a knock on the doors. “I’ll get it!” Paige cooed. She flew to open the doors. It was Cinderella! “Thank you for getting my slipper!” she cried and then kissed the prince. “Aww…” cooed Elijah. “I bet you just have to kiss me,” taunted Charlotte. Elijah turned red like a beetroot. Paige laughed a little. “Off! Off you lovebirds go!” she chuckled as she shoved the two in the portal.
The two adults were back at the library. Yumi walks in. “Hey! What’s up?” she said as she pounded Elijah’s fist. She gives Elijah a ring, but Charlotte slaps it away. “Lottie!” Yumi cried. “You don’t wanna embarrass my buddy again, do you?” asked Charlotte. “Alright alright,” said Yumi. “I won’t embarrass him again. Now c’mon! Wanna read a heap of romance novels?” Charlotte and Elijah nod. Neela walks by. “You still are a couple!” she shouted.

Fuck. That......that was Fucking amazing. I don't give 5 stars easily but this book was beyond perfect. Fourth Wing feels like a hug wrapped in a fuzzy blanket by the fire with hot cocoa and marshmellows. Damn was this book ever good. People may say it lacks character development but those people are wrong. They don't see that its rich with character development right from the start. Character development doesn't have to be in your face detail. No instead in Fourth Wing it is subtle and quiet yet you feel you know the characters as a whole.
I fucking cried near the and and I literally screamed NO WAY at the end in the dead of night. I am sure my neighbors think I was crazy at that time of night. This book was so good and I am so invested that I instantly bought Iron Flame right after. How fitting to finish this on the same day as the Book 3 news.

BOOK REVIEW: Seven Summers - Paige Toon
★★★★☆ - 4 stars
"I feel like one of those trees: hollow, but still living. Half dead, half alive."
Paige Toon's Seven Summers is not the perfect summer romance you would anticipate from its sunset-coloured and sea-shell embossed cover. Instead, it is a heartwrenching tale of grief and the difficulties that can come alongside relationships.
Spanning seven years, alternating time strands - this summer and the six summers prior - detail the intricacies and hardships of the main character, Liv, and indie-rock singer, Finn's relationship. Toon carefully constructs a relationship that is passionate and bound together by hardship; she shows how two people can be indefinitely drawn together but can ultimately form an undeniably complicated relationship. At the centre of the novel is a discussion of grief, pain in art and the impact that relationships with others can have on individuals during times of hardship. Paige Toon impressively depicts the relationship between Liv and her friends as she deals with her grief throughout. However, the importance that art can have in healing (and how pain can have a resounding impact on art) is an interesting conversation she brings into the subtext of the novel. Through this, Toon highlights the rawness of the human condition and the different ways in which we deal with sorrow. Notably, Seven Summers also includes representation of Down Syndrome, through the main character's brother Michael, shedding light on a minority group which is severely underrepresented in literature.
Unfortunately, the book has a rushed and arguably underwhelming ending, told through short epilogue chapters and lots of time jumps. This does not seem to match the beauty and carefulness with which the rest of the love story is unfurled. However, it is undeniable that, as a whole, Seven Summers is a heartbreaking, harrowing and haunting tale, that makes for a powerful summer read.

I don't care for romance novels.
That's not to say I don't like romance in novels. I prefer stories where adventure and mystery and secrets from the past threaten peaceful lives, and romance is simply a side effect.
Still, this looks like a good book, so fingers crossed I can finish it without falling asleep. Really, I only picked it up because it's set in Indiana, the state I grew up in. 😆

Paige bueckers × reader who loves books.
BOOKWORM | P.B X READER
authors note : i’ve been procrastinating on this big time srry if it’s not the best.
requested by : @paqerings
summery : Paige, someone who isn’t a fan of books finds herself tolerating all because of the person she’s fallen in love with.
word count : 808.
warnings : fluff that’s it
You and Paige had met at Uconn’s library on a rainy day. You being there to check out books for fun and Paige being there to find text books because she had no other choice.
A stack of books in your hand, you walked through the isles of bookshelves — looking for anything else that caught your eye. Unaware that the odd amount of books in your hand had caught Paige’s.
“Are you really going to read all those books?” The blonde questioned, disregarding the fact you were a complete stranger. Focused on finding out why there were so many books in your hand.
“Every last one” You replied, knowing that you wouldn’t be returning to the library until the pile of books in your hand were all completed.
“That’s impossible. no human is reading that many books.” Paige shrugged, finding it unbelievable that a person would optionally spend their time buried in a book.
The blonde just couldn’t understand it. What was it about books that grabbed everyones attention but hers?
Paige hated the idea of reading a book so much, she found herself on the brink of tears when having to study.
Even daring to pay classmates or bribe friends to complete reading assignments because she’d rather be out or playing basketball for fun.
“It’s definitely possible” You muttered, confusion building as you wondered why this familiar blonde was following you around all of a sudden.
It wasn’t like you didn’t know who she was. Everyone on campus knew of Paige Bueckers and admired her athletic talents.
However, you couldn’t get over the way she just talked your ear off and walked alongside you.
Disregarding any thought of you being a stranger and talking as if you two were the closest of friends. “Have you ever read a book?”
You asked, stopping in front of the mystery section — eyes drifting from book spine to book spine for something eye catching.
“No- well yes - duh. Just not a chapter book of any sort. It’s never been my thing so i’ve never tried to”
The blonde admitted, standing beside you — watching as you became fixated on the book titles.
“Well, find the right book and when you do, get back to me” You encouraged, sending the girl a short lived smile.
Picking up a final book as you headed to the front desk in order to check out.
Leaving the blonde with curiosity and confusion as she watched you walk away. Realizing she hadn’t even gotten a chance to introduce herself — let alone ask your name.
However, the blonde decided to take your advice and find a book that suited her — determined to impress you in the future.
present day —
“Can you hurry up! I wanna know what happens to Lucy Gray!”
Paige shouted, growing impatience as she sat on the couch — holding a copy of her The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes in her hands.
Finding herself obsessed with the Hunger Games book series — the blonde had managed to ‘read’ all three books from the series. And having you read the forth to complete it.
In all honesty, Paige still hadn’t read a full book on her own. Often times listening to the audio version of it or having you read a chapter to her daily.
The confusion for your love of books remained the same, however she’d grown to admire how fixated you were on them.
Growing use to how you always carried a book on you, reading whenever you could wherever you could.
Often times venturing to Barnes and Noble’s when you go book shopping. Her interest drifting to the lego sets while you walk the endless shelves of books.
“Give me a second! I’m finding a blanket”
You yelled back, picking up the throw blanket off of your girlfriends bed. Placing your reading glasses on your face as you walked down the hallway and to the living room.
“Finally! took you long enough” She muttered with a smile.
Throwing the blanket on Paige, you smiled laid beside her. The blondes head instantly becoming situated and comfortable on your shoulder.
“Oh whatever, hand me the book”
You joked, taking the story book out of her hand. Unaware of how a complete stranger who hated books turned into your girlfriend who tolerated certain ones.
You found solace in books, and being able to read them to your girlfriend — cuddled up on the couch brought you even more peace.
You nor Paige would trade this experience for anything else in the world. Often times expressing how you were both grateful for that interaction at the school’s library.
“Chapter eleven. Lucy Gray’s words stung but, on reflection, were well deserved.”
You began, Paige becoming silent as she listened to your soothing voice. Eager to hear the story being told.

Mad About Meatloaf (Weenie featuring Frank & Beans Book 1) by Maureen Fergus, illustrated by Alexandra Bye. Tundra, 2021. 9780735267916. 56pp. https://www.powells.com/book/-9780735267916?partnerid=34778&p_bt
This book is worth buying for the series name alone. Weenie is the dog, Frank (a cat) is his best friend, Beans (a guinea pig) is his other friend, and Bob takes care of them all. Bob made a meatloaf that he left on the counter and that Weenie simply must have. First the friends have to work together to get on the counter, and then they work together to make Bob a new meatloaf. It's zany fun that's beautifully illustrated by Bye.
Sir Ladybug and the Bookworms (Sir Ladybug Book 3) by Corey R. Tabor. Balzer + Bray, 2022. 9780063069121. 64pp. https://www.powells.com/book/-9780063069121?partnerid=34778&p_bt
An ant delivers a notice to Sir Ladybug that the book he checked out is due at sunset. Turns out it's in his friend Sterling's shell (he's a snail). They set off with Pell, a roly-poly, to find the library and return the book, which is a biography of a dung beetle. But there are a lot of bugs that need help along the way, and then three bookworms who want to eat the book. The best part by far is the library, which is a bit of a surprise.
The Spooky Story (Paige Proves It #2) by Amy Marie Stadelmann. Aladdin, 2023. 9781534451643. 112pp. https://www.powells.com/book/-9781534451643?partnerid=34778&p_bt
Paige loves facts. When her friends Penn and Karla say the Evergreen Street Music School is haunted, Page makes a list of evidence and starts investigating to determine the facts. My favorite thing about the book: there are even a few pages on how facts need evidence, or they're just guesses, and another page that explains what to do when new evidence shows up. It reminds me of classic Scooby-Doo episodes (back when the supernatural stuff was found to be some sour adult with an agenda) but with more of a library-friendly focus.

Library Portal Chapter 8: Eat Us and Drink Me
Plot: The trio end up in a hall with puzzling food
Genre: Fantasy
Charlotte, Elijah, and Paige stumbled to an empty hall, filled with nothing. Nothing, except for a little door.
I wonder what’s inside, Charlotte thought as she ran to the door.
She tried to open it, but the door stayed locked. That’s strange, she thought to herself. I thought that this door was a pull one. Maybe it’s a push door?
Charlotte thrust her hand to open the little door, but it wasn’t the push door either.
“Come on, door!” she said to it. “I want to see what it looks like.”
The door stayed silent. Charlotte peeped through its keyhole. Inside was a carnival full of fun and games! People are talking on and on.
“What’cha lookin’ at?” asked Paige, fluttering beside Charlotte.
“A carnival full of fun,” replied Charlotte.
“That sounds fun!” exclaimed Paige. “Lemme have a look.”
She peeped through the keyhole. “Wow! That is amazing!”
Elijah looked at the note. He squinted his eyes to take a full view.
“I’m a little door which needs a key to be opened,” he read aloud. “You’ll just have to drink these two beverages.”
He glanced at the table, where two bottles appeared out of nowhere. “Charlotte, Paige, come quickly.”
“What is it?” Charlotte and Paige asked in unison.
“These drinks mean something,” Elijah explained as he picked up the two bottles. “It says, ‘Drink Us!’.”
He turned to Charlotte and gave her the other bottle. “How about we test this out together?” he requested her. “I’m sure we’ll find something funny.”
“I’m thinking that something weird is gonna happen to us,” Charlotte said in a concerned tone, “but let’s do it. Bottoms up!”
They clinked the bottles together and drank the juice. Then, a rumble emerged inside Elijah’s stomach.
“Okay, I take it back,” he protested as he began shrinking. “I’m sorry… for making… a… stupid… choice.”
“Me… too,” Charlotte added as she began to shrink down.
Charlotte and Elijah ended up being the size of a mouse. No, not the size of a mouse, the size of Paige. They were the size of Paige. Paige flew above them.
“Hiya, Charlotte! You too, Elijah!” she greeted. “It’s nice to have fairy friends for me!”
“We’re shrunk,” Charlotte reminded her.
“Oh, right,” Paige said as she began scratching her pink, fairy-dust hair. “My mistake. Because you drank the bottles, yes?”
Elijah and Charlotte nodded.
“Well, that means,” Paige began as she swooped up the table, “that door is locked! But don’t fret, a key is waiting for you.”
“A key?!” Elijah and Charlotte exclaimed in both surprise and excitement. “That’s spectacular!”
“But the key is on top of the table,” Paige reminded them as a key appeared out of nowhere, sitting on the table. “So what I’m doing is… getting it for ya!”
She flew up to the table and began to lift the key, but the key was too heavy for her.
“A little help?” she asked them.
Charlotte and Elijah look up. The table is so tall.
“Now that is a long way up,” gulped Elijah.
“But we can still manage to reach up!” smiled Charlotte as she climbed on top of Elijah.
“What are your thoughts? Doing?!” Elijah asked.
“Getting on top of the table,” answered Charlotte as she climbed to its glass leg.
She was about to reach the top, but the glass was too slippery for her she fell down, to Elijah.
“Got on top of the table, huh?” he asked skeptically.
Charlotte smiled sheepishly. Then, a box appeared in front of them. Elijah opened the box. It contained a cake, with its marzipan letters read, “EAT ME!” Elijah confidentially cut the cake in half and gave it to Charlotte.
“Now let’s see what this cake does,” he proclaimed as he took a bite, which Charlotte did with him.
The magic of the cake makes them grow bigger. And bigger. And bigger! They reached to their normal size.
“The magic of the cake is working!” Charlotte exclaimed happily.
However, she was wrong; the magic made them bigger and bigger until their heads reached the ceiling.
“Ouch!” Charlotte shouted as she rubbed her head.
Then, Charlotte looked at the table, smiled confidentially, and took it. “Piece of cake!” she exclaimed.
Elijah looked at her and giggled. Then, they looked at the bottles, reached for them, and drank them until they were the size of Paige again. Paige saw the juice of the bottle, smiled and drank it. Then, she was even tinier. Charlotte and Elijah glance at her and guffaw loudly.
“Hey!” shouted Paige. “This isn’t funny!”
“Well to us it is!” laughed Charlotte. “Now come on, we have a place to enter!”
With that, she placed the key onto the keyhole, pushed it open, and went with Elijah and Paige.

I have completed my book review on goodreads about The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
Careful. Read at own risk as from here on it consists of spoilers.
My gosh was this ever a hard book to even get into. I literally had to force myself to read it to see if it got any better and luckily it did but unfortunately not until 100+ pages in and that disappointed me. I am glad that once I got into it, I couldn't put it down and I believe some areas can be shrunk or excluded entirely as I found them not important to the storyline or distracting.
I felt like I was Sherlock Holmes trying to figure out the mystery before the characters solved it. I was pleasantly surprised by the twist of events in the story as things unfolded and was mildly surprised on who was the culprit. Although I feel it would have been better if it was one of the women from the family instead of Harriets own father. I mean her father makes sense to but Stieg brings you on this journey where you think it is Cecilia or Herald or even Henrik himself in the end. All three of these people would have also been great substitutes as a murder instead of Martin. Heck even Martin's mother would have been a great fitting explanation as they talk on how crappy of a mother she was as she was blind to the criminal activity in her household.
I grew attached to Salander. I seriously was able to relate to her in many ways and I felt like I should protect her. When I read the wrong-doings done to her, I was disgusted to the point I couldn't continue reading. They were just so graphic. I don't like how Stieg writes her as if she is some simple minded, aggressive, idiot because she is exactly the opposite. She is closed off because of how the system has treated her when she was young. Her trust in people has been shot down so many times that it is riddled with holes that are next to impossible to repair. Only Mikael was able to really start mending her back together because he helped understand who she is, he helped her understand her mind where everyone else called her a freak. He called her a genius because she has a photographic memory, a memory billions would kill for and to not think of it as a curse but as a great gift. He looked at her as human being and didn't press her on her personal life. He left her alone when she wanted to be alone. In a way her understood her better than anyone which made her drop her guard and start trusting him. It made me upset that at the end of the book when she was going over to his place to give him a surprise christmas gift, that Mikael walks out of the bar with Erika, his close friend and occasional lover. I was able to feel the betrayal and the hurt that Salandar felt and I just wanted to hug her. Truly remarkable writing. Highly recommend.
