FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHIC YOUTH MUSIC CULTURE ARCHIVE -- WAY BACK TO '77.
PIC(S) INFO: Spotlight on a UK punk youth wearing a SEX PISTOLS "God Save the Queen" badge, c. 1977. 📸: Sergio Zalis + Sleeve art to the 1977 single of the same name, and which reportedly shot to #1 in the UK charts against all odds.
MINI-OVERVIEW: "On June 7th 1977, the Jubilee holiday itself, a certain punk band going by the name of the Sex Pistols sailed down the Thames playing their own take on the national anthem ‘God Save The Queen’. The Punk revolution was in full swing and the Pistol’s second single reached number 2 in the UK charts. This led to accusations by some that the charts had been “fixed” to prevent the song from reaching number one. In March 2001, the BBC wrote that the single “reached number one in the UK in 1977 despite being banned by the BBC.""

B-boying holds a special place in my heart, but it almost didn’t.
I had seen a b-boying clip on YouTube and was instantly enamored by it. Immediately, I sent it to my friend, Jonathan, whom I looked up to at the time and asked him if I should get into it. He laughed at it, saying “Why would anyone want to roll around on the floor?!” I remember feeling conflicted but still thinking to myself that it was cool. So I tried it.
B-boying consistently brought me face-to-face with discomfort, disappointment, and frustration. But in the process, it taught me how to navigate and cope with feelings of inadequacy and the future failures that come into life outside of the dance. I learned that the way you battle those things is through commitment and conviction.
“I might feel stuck today, but that doesn’t mean I’ll stay stuck. After all, that’s how I felt about that one move I couldn’t do, but can now.”
To be honest, my joints have never quite felt the same, but truly, the best way to get over the fear of falling on your face is to just fall on your face. - B-boys (PYMCA, 1983), Beat Street (Orion Pictures, 1984) - B-boys, Bgirls make some noise 📣👟, CAL

Happy birthday, Donita Sparks! (b. April 8, 1963)
“When Suzi [Gardner] and I started the band (L7) we never thought that we were going to be a big rock band. Never did that come out of our mouths. We wanted to be a very good rock band. We just wanted to headline the local place and we thought that would be huge. Then it would be huge to go out of town. ...Tiny little goals got us to where we were, you know.” (x)

Hi Anke, are you buying those images that you post? I've noticed this credit: Gonzales Photo/Peter Troest/PYMCA/Avalon/UIG
I think you’re refering to this post: http://musikfurfreiheit.tumblr.com/post/183631418140
And as you can see, I didn’t make that post. It’s a reblog, posted by another blog that gave credits to the photographers.
So no, I didn’t buy them, nor did I post them.
