MORE ALCOR DOODLES!!!!

-there was a good handful sketches that didn't make it to the final, some of them I plan to finish as solo drawings or on another doodle sheet

-once I decided to do the galaxy for the coat tails there was a number of failed attempts, and I questioned whether to go with a teal tinted or magenta tinted galaxy up til the end (the contrast and use of complimentary colors with a more purple/magenta tint was lovely and kept up the warm hues but in a similar manner the more teal and blue hues blended in while also standing out with it's cool hues: both were great options)

-the reason why I added those random pokemon team hcs was because that space there was too big to just fill with stars but too small to draw another something: so I just added the first thing that came to mind lmao

-tbh sorta nervous bout posting this cause I don't exactly put in the effort to be canon compliant: like I've sorta been formulated my own take on the tau in my head, as evident by my creative liberties taken with Alcor's design, I figured 'whats the point of a loose canon if you cant play with it' plus like 'i'm already cringe I might as well be free'

-speaking of the transcendence au canon though! if you're not familiar with the transcendence au the official tumblr ( @transcendence-au ) explains pretty much everything and is well organized :3 it's pretty much just so cool and epic and poggers, I love like, fandom-of-a-fandoms so much (like the utmv fandom and phandom's expansive fanon) , nothing more swag then a bunch of cool and creative people making something new out of something they love together!

Wilbur: And, yes, there was the dynamic duo in Battle Box and Tommy and Techno, who scored crazy good points- and Techno won Ace Race! Techno kinda was the reason we won that MCC we did fuck all, it was mostly Techno [laughs]. Phil: Pretty much. We got- [stammering] we got carried pretty hard. [chuckles]

Wilbur: But then we won. We won, and it's one I look back very fondly on, there was- there was at- there was at one point a time when I- I- I couldn't bring myself to watch MCC4 because I just got so annoyed at Tommy over and over during the vod. [Phil laughs] Wilbur: But since- since watching it again recently it's actually pretty based, and it's a pretty good vod.

Phil: It's really funny, there was o- there was one moment, Chayanne, where Tommy was like "Yeah I've got this block," and I was like "place it," and he was like "I don't have the block, Phil," and then I just proceeded to berate him and argue with him for like about three minutes until the next round started Tommy: It was a real learning curve in our father-son relationship. Wilbur: Mhm. [Phil wheeze-laughs]

Wilbur: Anyway, get some rest you two. And- and Tallulah when you wake up there will be a brand new home for you, a completely safe new house!

Soren and Sephiran character design progression parallels and symbolism: unhinged rambling session.

Before you read this and are like "oh I've heard this before" this is a slightly more coherent version of a twitter thread I made like a year ago lol. Just because it's slightly more coherent doesn't guarantee this will actually BE coherent bc I can't organise my thoughts to save my life. anyway. SPOILERS FOR TELLIUS !!!!!!!

SO what character design progression am I talking about exactly? I'm mostly referring to the common costume design progression beginning with black -> purple -> grey -> white (in chronological order) costume/ theme designs that both Soren and Sephiran go through. Soren starting off wearing black garb in PoR all the way to his white archsage garn in RD, kinda parallels with Black Heron Lehran (pre-canon) all the way to clad-white garb Sephiran (RD).

Soren: clad black mage (beginning PoR) -> ourple sage (end Por) -> greyish wind sage (RD) -> white archsage (RD)

Sephiran: Black Heron (pre-canon) -> ourple and grey Lord Sage (also pre-canon, mostly based on the CG cutscenes in the tower) -> orple and white but mostly white Prime Minister Sephiran (PoR and RD)

((also note Sephrian reverts to black heron Lehran for NG+))

What I found insanely interesting about these parallels was their opposing symbolism. When Soren went through his dark to light design progression it was most likely intended to represent him slowly getting less apathetic towards mankind; whereas Lehran going through the same design progression has the exact opposite character development.

Typically when a colour theme goes from dark to light it symbolises a positive(?) change in the character. Sephiran being a complex and morally controversial antagonist had an ironic opposite colour progression. That is, as his appearance seemingly appeared more "innocent" (i was always told in literature class that white clothes was symbolic of purity and innocence), the less innocent he actually became. Soren has a support system strong enough for him to, ever so slowly, develop into someone who hated the world a little bit less; he followed the typical character and character design development progression.

These character design choices and their respective characters represent different ways of processing similar dark and hopeless attitudes towards the world. You can either accept and grow (Soren), or you can let those attitudes fester into something more destructive.

I have a hypothesis for the significance of the colour purple because for some reason that seemed to be the colour marking a sort of "halfway point" between total apathy and hope towards mankind. Although.., purple might just be symbolic for wisdom (and spirituality for Sephiran perhap) because that's the basic colour association for purple and both of them are the wisest fellas in Tellius fr,, so that could be all it is. The purple on Sephiran might just represent his higher status as a stinky politician wheras it could mean something different for Soren in PoR but I am on copium right now so I am saying purple is meant to symbolise the halfway point of hope.

The reasoning I have for this is mostly based on the context surrounding the events in which purple was their primary colour. For example, in the latter half of PoR where soren is a orpple sage, at that point he would've at leased figured out he was branded and most likely have had support conversations with Ike or Stephan which marks the beginning of him coming to terms with himself being Branded. For Sephiran, he wears ourple in pretty much any context, but that cutscene with Misaha where he is wearing purple and Misaha is wearing a lighter purple.., that was SUPPOSED to mark the beginning of hope for Lehran before,,,,, certain events occured afterwards that put the nail in the coffin in regards to his descent. Speaking of that CG I think it's kinda poggers that they contrasted Lehran's darker colour scheme with Misahas lighter. The flavour. The contrast. Possibly adds some dramatic irony about Misaha being killed by her innocence...

Okay that is all I have to say for now. I honeslty have no idea if this was even the intention by the devs or if doing ATAR literature has brainwashed me into reading into everything too deeply BUT it is fun to think about regardless. okay im done here

Anon, you have opened a DOOR and I thank you cause I've been needing an excuse to talk about my thoughts!

Imma try and summarize here but either way this will probably be lengthy - so fair warning on that ^^ (also this is like... So very much based on headcanons that got out of control cause cPurpled has next to nothing going on lore wise till Las Nevadas and I wanted to flesh him out)

I also feel like it's good to note that my Purpled design plays into the alien vibe, bros got four arms, some extra eyes, antenna, the whole shebang - but anyways.

For the background headcanons, it is more so a thing for Purpled, cause yeah it would be funny to say he really is just a bit of an angsty teenager who wants to be left alone but also consider what if he was a bit fucked up. My idea is that due to also being a mercenary (of sorts) Purpled has more recently been experiencing freedom so to speak, till the smp he had been raised up to be a mercenary - raised and trained as a living weapon and only now is he kinda out on his own. Punz has a similar origin but that was years ago for them, they aren't bothered and have long since adapted to their lifestyle of mercenary work.

The dynamic of the two is somewhat brotherly on the surface, but it's more so of an apprentice situation. Purpled was picked out of a crowd to be further trained out in the real world by Punz, their relationship is not particularly healthy in any manner and is far from a sibling bond. Purpled came to the SMP with Punz but due to a stagnation in work on the server Purpled is somewhat left to his own devices, though Punz checks in here and there and they do have semi-regular training sessions. After all Punz does take his job as a mentor somewhat seriously.

I'm still working on actually figuring out the environment that Purpled was raised in, since a lot of what he went through effects his character/gives some reasoning for some behaviors as well as fuels my other headcanons, but yeah uh not a very poggers early teenhood.

As for the Purpled joins the syndicate au, would love to get an official sort of name for it, it uses a lot of my headcanons as a base and namely the background stuff! It's a storyline that would eventually really dive into my interpretation of Purpled and his thought processes as he finally gets into a situation where he can heal from the environment he was raised in.

It's rather canon divergent, being post prison break and basically, due to a turn of events Purpled ends up effectively "saving" Tommy from Dream and this leads to Golden Duo getting help from Phil and Techno, Tommy basically doesn't know where else to go and defactos to finding Phil- Purpled sticks with him due to the fact that Punz has more or less brought him into their & Dream's plans as a 'failsafe' of sorts - so Purpled briefly scrapping with Dream and interfering certainly isn't going to go over well and Purpled would much rather to just avoid whatever would come out of that consequence wise.

So not only are Golden Duo forced to deal with eachother, they now also are staying at the commune for a bit. They have some fun interactions and exchanges during this but my Golden Duo thoughts are for another day. Tommy does eventually leave, but Purpled sticks around for a bit longer - despite his denial of any assistance and consistent "I don't need your help" statements.

This eventually segways into a little mission to go get Dogchamp from his base, since while Purpled isn't opening up about it Techno and Phil can both kinda tell that the kid doesn't want to go back to the general SMP for some reason. So of course once worries of his dog are mentioned Techno makes the offer to go help get Dogchamp and to bring him back to the commune since he understands the value of a good animal companion.

Purpled of course tries to say that he doesn't need help, unfortunately for Purpled Technoblade does not care and can see through his angsty "I don't need anyone's help," bs.

So they go get Dogchamp, during this Techno probably does some prodding and questioning to try and get some details outta the alien, this doesn't really work but my idea is that Purpled makes an offhanded comment about being trained to be an effective living weapon of a mercenary. This offhanded comment seals his fate pretty much, cause by the gods does Techno understand that treatment wayyy to well. So an offer is given for Purpled to join the book club, and well, the syndicate gains another member after some time - even if said member is a bit walled off, he's a member none the less.

I still don't have a code-name for Purpled but that's kinda how the whole thing starts, I have additional notes but I'll save em for now since this is a long enough post as it is- but yeah, it's a silly little concept that I really do like and hopefully I can do something with it at some point.

A welcoming scent, but are you actually welcome? The smell of a non gamer, despite being such.

CLOTHING:

The sort that seems perfect for Summer, and worse in Winter. Though she'd use hacks to ensure she's still warm or not too warm despite such. A look that seems super casual, and open. Along with nerdish, given her refs to gaming.

OBJECTS:

Her 'screens' controllers, systems. Along with gaming ref weapons, made by herself. Imagine her just in Minecraft, with a Diamond sword.

VICES / BAD HABITS:

What isn't a bad habit? This is the sort of girl, with a no nonsense, caring attitude. In Summer, if she cba to turn on hacks to keep herself warm, she'd lay on the sofa naked while playing her game. Cause of her nature to not care, she could spend countless nights not sleeping, the works. Her diet isn't too bad, but you can see how she could fall into a bad diet habit.

BODY LANGUAGE:

Her body language can seem one with a bit of swag and spring in her step. It's as if she knows she's the boss, she knows she's the best, feels like it, and will walk through such. If the walk is troubling, it's more fun to her. It's why sometimes she can look like an unapproachable loner, but then at same time, look like the most chill and swag one.

AESTHETICS:

Computer based systems. Blue and purple all over. As if she's a walking, and breathing VTuber in rl, an anime girl walking among us. There is too much gaming refs for her own good honestly.

HOME:

Home is where the heart is. Silver Wolf doesn't have an actual home in regards. As with what she can do, her home is where she goes. The only time she's really added such, is when with the other SHs. Those are her family right now, so it's where she feels most at home.
