As a genderqueer trans man, I've met far too many people who make "hating men" their entire fucking personality. And this is from cis radfem women, to trans lesbians, to cis male drag queens, to binary fucking trans men. So many people think "hating men" is how we solve society hating women. It is so not it.

"I hate men" is like people think they're scoring morality brownie points. It shows they've not actually taken any critical thoughts about feminism or the patriarchy. They're like "oh so I say this and people think I'm a good person? Cool then I will say it".

And sure there is nuance. In a lot of cases. But man haters really just cannot be arsed with this level of thinking, huh?

it's literally a personality trait to so many people, it's embarrassing. like it's ACTUALLY embarrassing. people like to say cringe this cringe that. i think man hating, especially as a personality type, is one of the most embarrassing things you can choose to do. like we literally criticize misogynists here, people who genuinely spend tons of time thinking about and finding ways to oppress women. it's great that we talk about this. but making an entire personality type out of hating men isn't helping. it's not gonna make misogynistic men stop being misogynists. there are men who identify as proud misogynists. why is a woman identifying as a proud man hater be any different? same behavior.

like seriously the amount of people on here who literally spend all day sucking up to terfs and trans/radfems and then virtue signal and show off how much they say they hate terfs is staggering. the amount of people on here who proudly and loudly say they hate trans men and mascs with a passion but then turn around and "fuck terfs" is mind numbing. if you act like this, you're terfs. no matter what you think you're doing, you are sucking up to radfems and that's it. that's all you're accomplishing.

pretty random thing to say but…..trans boys are real boys, trans girls are real girls, non-binary/agender people don’t have a gender, or they think they don’t have one, bisexual, pansexual, lesbian, and gay people can love, just like straight people, aro/ace, aromantic and asexual people are very valid, genderfluid people can be any gender they wanted anytime they wanted.

so why are other people harassing and making fun of them? They’re all just being themselves, a person they wanted to be and they are now.

gender is just like a costume, a costume you can’t get out of unless you wanted to at a certain time, and when you change who you are, your pronouns, your identity, your gender, it’s like ripping your costume away and being your own self without faking it, whither you wanted to be a public thing or not, you’re still yourself, a new or old you, the you you wanted to be all of this time.

your body is your choice to make, you can dye your hair, change your appearance, change your name, or anything, be free, even if you don’t have a lot freedom, you have your OWN freedom, and your own choices, but make the right one, or the one that you think is the best for you.

love yourself for who you are, you can love the same gender or opposite gender, or fuck it, love more than 1 person! it’s all your choice, about what you want to do in your life

so all i’m saying is, being yourself is one of the most greatest things you can be, be yourself and do your own things until your dead.

happy pride everybody! decided to make a themed fic rec post of all my favorite LGBTQ+ aveyond fics (including a couple I've written and am proud of). dividing it by game!

Rhenegade by Ishti: Aveyond 1 novelization, but this time it's kind of a pirate AU and the party spends half the game split. Lars attempts to save the world with the help of Elini, Te'ijal, and Dameon, while Rhen tries to figure out what she's doing beside John, Peter, and Galahad. Lars/Dameon becomes central to the story, and at its heart its a platonic found family love story between Rhen and John, who are both aro.

two sides of one coin by Snowsheba: An alternative take on Aveyond 1 where Rhen and Lars tackle the quest essentially just the two of them, featuring some Rhen&/Lars with an ace Lars.

I think I'm mostly just proud of the fact that I'm as OKAY with myself as I am. Like, genderfluidity and being ace/aro wasn't something I'd have allowed myself to be 5 years ago, so. It's nice. Being comfortable in my own skin is nice
