#PP: Ripp Grunt

“We’re just going to take pictures, Ripp.”

“You’re taking pictures, too? Kinky.”

“Haha. C’mon, you know I’m just teasing because I love you guys.”

Everyone’s delighted to watch the couple become Mr & Mrs Nigmos! They took Ophelia’s last name rather than Johnny’s, to honour her late parents. After all, there are plenty more Smiths to carry on their family name.

Ready for the wedding! Since the venue is pretty small, they kept the guest list to a few close friends & immediate family. In hindsight, I should have kept it even smaller! Poor Jenny got stuck watching from outside D:

“Hey, pipsqueak. How’s the academy? You staying out of trouble?”

“Hey! When do I ever get into trouble?”

“I can think of a few examples...”

“Soup’s great, Phi.” Ripp grinned. “You’re gonna make a kickass wife.”

“So, when’s the wedding?” Jill asked.

“We were thinking of doing it tomorrow night, actually! The chapel on the Road to Nowhere.”

“Aw, you’re not going for a big fancy do?��

“You know I don’t really like being made a fuss over. Plus, we’ve been together so long, in a way the wedding is just a formality. So long as everyone importnat is there, I’m happy.”

“Ha, couldn’t be me.” Jessie laughed, “personally, I’m getting married because I wanna be center of attention.”

Ophelia & Johnny both had some social wants, so I figured it was time for them to throw a housewarming party! It’s mostly old college friends.

Graduation party time! As relieved as all three of them are to be graduating and moving on, I think in the long run they’ll look back on this period of their lives with fond nostaligia!

Inexplicably, Ty opens the round with a want panel entirely about Ripp Grunt, so they invite him over for a jam-session, which lasts almost the entire day. So mMaybe he has a little crush. That’s fine. Just appreciating a musician and his craft. And his beautiful face.

“What on Earth are you doing here?”

“Hanging out with Buck, obviously.”

“Well, where’s Buck?”

“Inside. Thought I’d give him and his girlfriend a little privacy.”

“You’re a terrible influence.”

“Whatever. So, you’re home from work early.”

“Yes. I got a promotion, actually! You’re looking at a State Assemblyman.”

“And I guess I’m supposed to congratulate you?”

“I’m not really expecting it. But it would be nice...”

Ripp was always so agravating to talk to, Tank thought privately. He and Ripp were on better terms these days, but his brother always made things needlessly... difficult.

“Hey!” Beatrice chriped as she arrived, “I ran into your brother on the train and he said he wanted to come along!”

“Oh, you meant Ripp.” Buck chided himself for thinking she was going to bring some secret-second-boyfriend. She wasn’t like Delta. And even if she was - why would she bring the other guy along? It didn’t really make sense.

“Hey, Buck.” Ripp was starting to question the timing of this visit. He was kind of a third wheel, here...

If Ripp even notices Beatrice heart-farting over him, he doesn’t say anything.

Bo gets a call from her old friend Dixie, and eagarly accepts the invitation to hang out Downtown, dragging Lucy with her. It’s a good oppotunity to scout out some marks and she does manage to snatch Ricky’s wallet. She’s a little dissapointed to see Dixie with a ring on her finger, but that’s not necessarily an insurmountable obstacle... she does love a challenge.

Ashley pulling strings to get Lilith promoted again? I really can’t decide if this is endearing or kinda offputting.

Speaking of the kitten, he grows up while Lilith is at work the next day! And immediately uses his newfound freedom to charm the neighbours into giving him treats.

Ripp: Hey.

Roxie: Hi there, handsome! Guess who got promoted?

Ripp: Nice, what to?

Roxie: I’m gonna be a sound engineer, babe!

Ripp: Yeah, they broke into my place too! Total exhibitionists.

Lilith: Gross. It was one thing when we were all living together, but like, come on! What about the sanctity of my personal space?

Ripp: Okay, but I’m pretty sure you were with them at least once. Defiling my apartment.

Lilith: Oh yeah, huh. Sorry dude. You know how it is when the urge hits, sometimes you forget to pay attention to your surroundings.

Ripp: You’re all a bunch of degenerates.

Lilith: I don’t want to hear that from you of all people!
