#PP: Ophelia Nigmos

Ophelia’s quick to start nesting, but finds she’s quick to get tired. Maybe it’s time to go back to bed...

Ophelia Nigmos (cont. 2//3)

“Alrighty, so kitchen’s there, obviously, bathroom is in there, and upstairs is my bedroom, but Johnny has requested you stay down here.”

“That seems fair.” Lilith said, glancing around. Ophelia’s place was decorated with a few college kid-esque posters, but the rest looked as if it could have been purchased from a Ceramic Shed catalogue the day she moved in. Lilith would never mention it, but it didn’t seem to fit her friend’s aesthetic at all.

“Mary! You of all people should know it’s rude to wear white to a wedding...”

“Nice to see you too, Dix. Johnny said it was no big deal. And you’’re one to talk - you’re wearing jeans!”

“Jeans can be smart!”

“And all those tattoos...”

“Oh, lay off, sis. If you wear that dress to my wedding, I’ll be so mad.”

“When is your wedding, Dixie? We’re waiting on that save the date card!”

“We’ll get to it, okay? Jeez.”

Updated portrait for the Nigmos household. I didn’t plan for them to start having kids right away, but with them both being family sims it’s not entirely unexpected! I think they work really well together, and it’s nice to play the occasional sweet, stable couple.

“Want to hold him?”

“Yes! Yes please. Hello, Jude. Baby Jude. Jude the dude.”

“... look at you! Welcome to the world. It’s so nice to finally meet you.”

“Is it a boy or a girl?”

“A boy! And look: red hair. Like P.T.”

“Wow. So we have a son...”

“I was thinking it might be nice to go with a ‘J’ name. Honour your family tradition, since you took on my last name and everything. What do you think of Joshua?”

“It’s okay. What about Jude? I always liked Jude.”

“That’s pretty. Let’s go with that.”

“Woo!”

“Johnny? Wake up!”

“Eugh. What time is it?”

“I think the baby’s coming.”

“Shit. I’m up, I’m up. Should I call Mom, or-?”

“There’s no time!”

“Johnny keeps telling me to just relax and take it easy, but I feel so awkward just sitting around while he’s working.”

“I know just what you mean. I’m always used to being busy, so letting Ajay take the lead while I was pregnant was torture!”

“And it feels so nerve-wracking, sitting around waiting for this huge event. Like standing on top of a volcano waiting for it to erupt...”

“You’re getting heavy!” Johnny exclaimed as he strained to lift his wife, “I guess your due date must be getting close?”

“Yeah. It’s exciting, isn’t it? Scary! But exciting.”

“Almost feels like we’re actual adults.”

“We are adults, Johnny. We have a house and jobs and everything.”

“Still doesn’t feel real, sometimes.”

“I know what you mean.” Ophelia smiled. “We’re really lucky.”

“Hey, Nerv! Guess who’s having a baby? ... Yeah I know, hopefully they’ll be close to Riley... haha, I’m good. But if you fancy bringing over a grilled cheese next time you make a batch, I’m hungry pretty much all the time...”

“Wow. Want me to take the day off work?”

“There’s no need for that. Your case is important! Besides, we’re going to need the money.”

“Right, right. I guess so... well, call me if you need anything, okay? Love you.”

“Love you too.”

Ophelia woke up the morning after the wedding to a suprise! Well, it wasn’t like it was entirely a suprise, they hadn’t really been bothering with protection recently, but she hadn’t expected to get pregnant quite so quickly.

It was good news, but Ophelia couldn’t help but worry all the same. What if it was too soon? Were they ready for a baby?

“Ready, love?”

“Oooooh. You two going to use the photo booth, if you know what I mean?”

“We’re just going to take pictures, Ripp.”

“You’re taking pictures, too? Kinky.”

“You’re such a pig, Ripp!”

“Haha. C’mon, you know I’m just teasing because I love you guys.”

Johnny and Ophelia finally move into their new place, along with Ophelia’s puppy, Nyx! Their house is by @littlelittlesimmies, one of those western-style houses I use all the time :D They’ve been engaged since last round, and have been hoping to have a nice, quiet wedding here in Strangetown.

“Say ‘ahhh’, Phi.”

“This is so embarassing... ah-”

“Hey dude, congrats! Could I get one of those big slices?”

“One sec, Uncle Laz.”

Everyone’s delighted to watch the couple become Mr & Mrs Nigmos! They took Ophelia’s last name rather than Johnny’s, to honour her late parents. After all, there are plenty more Smiths to carry on their family name.
