USA students with disabilities and disorders: LISTEN UP!
In the USA, a huge issue has gone unnoticed by our government, despite the cries of my people. Since the creation and implementation of IEPs and 504s for students with disorders and disabilities in school systems, this problem has plagued school systems on a national scale.
‘What is this problem?’ Is what you may ask. Well, I shall tell you from my perspective (and other students) as a female who has autism, ADHD, and GAD.
The problem is that school systems are allowing staff to discriminate and ignore students with IEPs and 504s. When I was in 9th grade, I had an English teacher who wouldn’t follow my IEP, which is illegal to do. Even with my case manager and parents communicating to him that he had to follow my IEP, he wouldn’t listen and lied about his actions. My case manager reported him to the higher ups of the school and her supervisor, but they didn’t even reach out to him, nor did they ever get back to us.
I was warned by many students with IEPs about this English teacher, as they also experienced the same exact situation where he refused to follow their IEPs. He was (and likely still is) the only option for 9th grade English, besides the English class for those who may have things like dyslexia or those who struggle with English in general.
I could’ve taken him to court, unfortunately though, I only found that out after I moved schools.
The next year, in my new school, my new case manager ignored my concerns and refused to talk about making a few changes to my IEP. She brushed me off by saying that I would be fine.
I wasn’t fine.
I ended up switching to online school, where I would be at home, yet still receiving the proper education through online meetings and programs.
Those of us who are students with IEPs and disabilities or disorders, especially under the age of 18, are oppressed and our cries for help are ignored.
We are SUFFERING. IEPs are NOT a privilege, they are a NECESSITY for those of us who have it!
My best friend who also has an IEP keeps me updated on the happenings of the school I went to (the one with the English teacher mentioned in the first paragraph) about how those of us in special education or/and have IEPs are being treated.
I have researched and read of so many incidents and situations like mine.
There is a HORRIFYING amount of mistreatment of my community, my people, with disabilities, disorders, and IEPs among schools across the nation.
How could schools claim to treat everyone fairly and that consequences for discrimination will ensue, when the teachers are the ones who discriminate more than most of the students and get away with it?
We need to change, and we need to revolt against schools who let staff get away with discrimination of those of us with disabilities, disorders, and IEPs!
WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHT TO EDUCATION!
To my dear readers, please share this post across social media platforms to spread the support we so desperately need. Please share this among family and friends, coworkers, and even teachers and school staff.

When Whumpee isn't being whumped by the real leader/boss, but by someone else that works for the lider.
Whumpee has to behave, it doesn't matter that Whumper isn't the one in charge, because Whumper might tell their boss and punish Whumpee.
After all, who would believe Whumpee if they reported the abuse?
The only thing Whumpee can do is obey, because if Whumper is this bad, how much worse could their boss be?

By now, I think the most interesting thing about The Acolyte is the debates around it. I do not mean to say it isn’t interesting by that, I haven’t seen it, but the searing hot online “fights” are gems. By reading a handful of posts just here—screw Twitter and its short format that won’t let it all be full-blown fun—the show seems to be hitting very touchy spots in society (or should I say Western society?) regarding morality, power, institutions… especially institutions. There are some people that I sense subconsciously see elements, whether it be characters, organizations, or values as stand-ins (or whatever the correct term is) for real-world characters, organizations, or values that they hold on to. I see this especially in post-The Acolyte pro-/anti-Jedi discourse.

There are some men in this world who dream of power, just so they can abuse that power.
And there are some young women in this world who dream of having power so that they will no longer have to be abused.

NFL star in handcuffs:
It remains to be seen what the consequences of the incident will be for the players involved.
Shortly before the start of the NFL season, superstar Tyreek Hill was temporarily taken into custody as part of a traffic stop. As a result, the pass receiver and his team were asked to take a critical stance towards the player. The police justify their actions.
The police had previously released video footage from bodycams documenting the stop. The published video footage shows Hill sitting in a black sports car. A police officer approaches his vehicle and Hill hands the officer something through the lowered window. The window is then rolled up again.
The police officer then asks him to lower the window again, but Hill does not do so. Another police officer then forcefully opened the driver's door, whereupon Hill was pulled out of the vehicle and pinned to the ground. An officer pressed his knee into Hill's back, whereupon he was handcuffed.
‘I still don't know what happened,’ Hill said after the NFL opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars (20-17) and criticised: ’What if I wasn't Tyreek Hill? God knows what those officials would have done.’
The Dolphins wrote in their statement that this was ‘a reminder’ that ‘not every situation like this ends peacefully, and we are grateful that it did in this one.’
There are ‘some officers who confuse their responsibility and dedication with misguided power’, it continued: ‘We commend the MDPD (Miami Dade Police Department, ed.) for taking the proper and necessary action and releasing this footage so quickly, but also urge them to take equally swift and decisive action against the officers who behaved so abhorrently.’

Hill uncooperative according to police
No, Power abuse in its purist form.
It's interesting how many cops turned up on the tray for a normal traffic stop!
Any non-POC citizen would have had no problem getting into his car and the traffic stop would not have happened, this is structural racism!
The black man with the big fat car fits the image of police officers abusing their power.
Throw them out, they have no place in the police force, at most as security guards in a shopping centre car park.
mod
Of course, first investigate properly and then throw them out, that's just our opinion, then jobs will open up for more capable people with a greater sense of responsibility and the appropriate de-escalation skills.
Cops on Steroids?
Is that the problem? It's interesting when a professional athlete looks like an untrained citizen against a normal patrolman, isn't it?
I can only puke for the steroid pumped up cops with their bullshit core spirit.
Do a test on steroids with one of them - I bet you'll be surprised.

Fraye Hill of House Lannister
Previous Next
Chapter Sixteen. Part One
The morning of Fraye's name day is a nervous one. Fraye awoke, hoping for Sandor to still be with her but all she found was dissapointment, looking at the empty left side of her bed. She wonders about her fate that will be decided today. She's never dreaded a day as much as she does now. "M'lady.", she hears as there's a knock at the door "Just a moment.", she replies, hurring to get up and slip on her nightgorn.
"Hello, Mel.", Fraye says, opening the door. Mel, her handmaiden, walks in with a gown. "Queen Cersei had it made just for ya.", she smiles, hanging it. Fraye stares at the red dress with gold accents. No doubt of Lannister make. Fraye hate the color red. Always has. She's alwas loved soft purples and yellows. They remind her of a beautiful garden in the spring months. "Shal we give ya a bath and get ya ready?", she asks. "Sure.", she replies, snagging a few grapes into her mouth. After Fraye's quick wash, she sits down in her robes, eating. She wonders if it is normal for people to feel so hungry the morning after lying with someone. "Are you excited about today, M'Lady?", Mel asks. "Nervous, honestly.", Fraye replies. "I heard that you're getting matched up today, if you don't mind me saying." "Yes it is true. I just hope it to be a good man." "I do to, M'lady. You are a great woman and deserve something good." "Thank you Mel, truly." Fraye finishes breakfast before getting into her gown. "This dress looks beautiful on you, M'lady." "It is quite tight.", Fraye says, unable to breathe. Mel loosens it the best she can. Fraye looks in the mirror, the necklace Sandor gave her is still adorning her neck. It makes her smile. They are interrupted by another knock. "Come in.", Fraye says. "Sorry to interupt.", Jamie smiles. Fraye walks over, hugging him. "You look so beautiful.", Jamie smiles. "Thank you, ser. I am greatful for everything you've done for me." He looks at her with a smile. "I will protect you today… I know the hound will too." "Why would he?" "Because Tyrion told me." "What?!" "I would never say anything to put you in danger. I am glad you care for someone with such strength and combat ability. Even if I don't love the idea of it being him. He seems so rough."
"He is quite different when he thinks no one is watching." "Most hard men like him are." Fraye takes one more look in the mirror, dread trying not to show in her face. "Are you ready, My lady?", he smiles. "As ready as I can be." Fraye and Jamie step out of her room, walking down the hall to head outside to the court for her party. She walks out, clutching tighter to him. She sees entertainers in the middle with Lords and Ladies mingling everywhere. There is a long table with all the Lannisters and Sansa sitting. There is a spot right next to Tyrion empty. She assumes it's hers. Joffrey sits in the middle with Sandor standing behind him. Sandor sees her and she almost could swear she saw a slight smile on his face upon seeing her. "Aw, the Lady of the hour!", Joffrey says, standing. He quiets everyone as Jamie walks you to the center. "Today is a very special day. Today is Lady Fraye Hill's name day! I want everyone to celebrate and enjoy these festivities. Everyone will sure be in for a treat later!", Joffree grins wickedly. Fraye bows before moving on to find her seat. "How are you, Fraye?", Joffrey smiles. "I am wonderful, your Grace. I thank you for the festivity. You are most kind.", Fraye smiles, wanting nothing more to reach other and ring his neck. "You are very welcome. I am a gracious king and I do hope you will love my present." She bows her head before taking a seat next to Tyrion. "Something feels off.", she whispers to Tyrion. "I never know what my nephew is up to until the last minute.", Tyrion replies before taking a sip of his wine.
He pours Fraye a cup as well. She downs it, knowing she'll need it.

There is something about the way the government and police are (still) violently treating peaceful climate protesters and arresting them for no good reason, that makes me feel very uneasy and sick to my stomach. It just ain't right.

Tribeca 2024: "The Stanford Prison Experiment: Unlocking the Truth" Behind Abuse and Power"
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rating: 4 out of 5. Excuses are often used to justify wrongdoing, avoid blame, or seek sympathy. However, any wrongdoing is ultimately a choice made by an individual driven by their desires. This is precisely why the infamous Stanford Prison Experiment went so disastrously wrong. Those chosen to wield power did not exercise their humanity; instead, they chose cruelty, torture, and abuse.…

Only saying this because it’s anonymous, but the things I would do at auditions to stand out… made me look super desperate. Some worse than others, but man… I dressed up silly, did my makeup, toned myself down. I tried being way too appealing. I got taken advantage of, like… Christ. I look back at all that and cringe.
"...That isn't cringe. That's traumatic, and honestly I'm worried about you. I hope those people faced justice for what they did and how they acted."

KNIGHTLIGHT!!! WHERE ARE THE YAOI WARRIORS WHEN YOU NEED THEM!!!
Tragic Ships Tournament Round 1
Capvers picture done by @charlotte-fleming. knightlight picture done by me sorry guys couldn't find any pics
Propaganda under the cut!
Capvers:
"One half died holding hands with the other after finally being reunited and they never got to say I love you to each other. Your faves could never"
Knightlight:
"So for starters Temenos calls him "mon cher Crick"(my dear Crick) in French and both "mi fiel Crick"(my faithful Crick) and "Querido Crick"(Dear Crick) in Spanish, which is already incredible. English tends to stick with "little lamb" because Crick needed guidance to find the cathedral, but it's often more to the tune of "my little lamb", almost to compliment Temenos's own title of the "pontiff's hound" in the eyes of the Sacred Guard. The fact that he has such brazenly affectionate nicknames for Crick despite barely knowing him is evident of just how close they managed to get in such a short time while investigating murders together.
Temenos isn't the type to trust easily. He doesn't have faith in others and he doesn't have faith in the very church he's supposed to represent or the gods he's been taught to worship. Crick, by contrast, does believe in the gods and the people around him, right up until meeting Temenos. His faith begins to waver and yet in turn, Temenos begins to trust. They're going to have each other's backs in this hunt for the truth. The fact that Crick is even willing to say something like "I… I wish to believe in the gods. As I wish to believe in you" considering where he started is insane. Temenos considers him a friend and frankly DOES believe in Crick's abilities. They're going to solve this mystery together. Tomorrow, after Crick gets some rest. Crick turns up dead the next morning and Temenos changes. He's not the violent type. Fighting isn't his thing, really. Why kill when you can just interrogate? But now he has lost his brother, his father, and his friend. He has lost faith in the church, and the one who had faith in him. He who once guided the lost lamb to the cathedral on the hill must now follow his spirit into the depths of the ice. He has lost, and lost, and lost, and the one responsible has the gall to taunt him about it. And Temenos spills blood."
