i do think it's funny, and like it's the frame work of so many pmmm doujins where sayaka and homura hate each other so cue comedic moments, but i think fundamentally the thing is that it is impossible for homura to have an equal dynamic with any of the characters. sayaka can hate homura, judge her with suspicion, as a threat that wants to hurt madoka or such and such, but how can homura even muster up that level of disdain for sayaka. all sayaka is is a problem, and maybe homura will get mad everyonce in a while, but like come on here dp you really expect her to be able to match sayaka's active disdain for her after a hundred loops. something more passive, perhaps in a sense objectifying makes more sense. sayaka is an obstacle, sometimes rarely a game piece in homura's favour, but always an obstacle. idk i think it comes from a misreading of the one scene where homura threatens to kill sayaka if sayaka doesn't take the grief seed.

and this is the case with the rest of the quintet too right like, it is literally impossible to have "normal" thoughts about people who you have entire histories with, a decade or more of time spent with, who do not remember you in the slightest. and in regards to rebellion sayaka, i struggle to believe she's truly changed out of her good vs evil frame work given her conversation with homura at the end of rebellion

What is your favourite PMMM doujin?

OOOH man that's a tough question. Admittedly I'm not as familiar with PMMM/Magica Record doujinshi as I am with doujin from other fandoms. But I HAVE collected/read/scanlated a fair number over the years!

If I had to narrow down a favorite, in terms of story, art, impact, ect, it's probably "Conceptual Manga About a 24-Year-Old Madoka Kaname?!" (scanlated by yours truly). It's about Ultimate Madoka visiting Junko in a dream to share a drink with her on what would have been her 24th birthday (if she still existed). It's a really beautiful story and it gets me every time!

Besides the obvious though, I can drum up muse pretty instantaneously for Lucas and Shinji as well. Even if they're not the most active on the dash, you could dangle me over a comical pit of dubious green ooze and tell me to write Lucas or Shinji on the spot and I could probably live to tell the tale.

∗ 37﹕ have  you  ever  ventured  into  writing  fanfiction ?

MAN...not for a long time, outside of like, drabbles and one-shot type of deals. The last time I wrote and completed a fanfiction was when I was like, 13 and was deep in the throes of my Len Kagamine simp phase. It was a really bad selfship fic ( ftr, not bad because it was selfship. Bad because it was bad ). I even had the audacity to want to write in a love triangle and ask people if they wanted their OCs to be in the fic, only to write the chosen OC as the romantic rival 💀 If the creator of Fermata Vocaloid is out there reading this, girl I'm so sorry, you deserved better.

I would love to dip my toes back into writing fic, except I always way overthink everything and can never get past an overly convoluted outline. I have an eternally unfinished script for my PMMM x Evangelion AU that I have a pipe dream of turning into a doujin, but I always get partway into scripting it out, look back at it months later, realize it only made sense in my dazed, writing-fog-having brain, and scrap the whole thing to start over and repeat the process. Maybe someday...

Kajiura Yuki is the biggest name in the anime OST world, not only does she composed opening song for Gundam Mobile suite, but for Tsubasa Chronicle, Pandora Hearts, Noir, Madlax, PMMM, Sword art online, Demon Slayer, Fates Stay Night, Black Butler, Kara no Kyokai, le Portrait de la petite Cosette etc. She is a giant. 

Sound Horizon is particular though cause Revo’s popularity exploded when he got to compose the soundrack for Attack on Titan. He already made the OST for bravely Default (check the banger that is Serpent eating the ground) and his got the artist for Bravely Default to have illustrated all of his doujin album for Sound Horizon, from Chronicle 2nd to Nein (and he is working on a new one right now) but his got a good collaboration in his original : Shimotsuki Haruka, Remi, the trio of Kalafina, YUKI, Aramary (though she stopped collaborating after some time but reapparead in a collab with Imperial Circus Dead Decadance), Jimang etc. But still, Revo and Sound Horizon are the most popular doujin circles doing original, not couting Ali PROJECT because ALI PROJECT is even more of a giant in terms of Opening music, same with Yousei Teikoku even though Shirai’s got some composition with Unlucky Morpheus. Next you have Rokugen Alice famous for singing Opening for video games, Akise Haru’s character song in Mirai Nikki, and the rest is far more popular thanks to either Vocaloid song cover like Hanatan or Touhou arrange like East New Sound or Akatsuki Records. There are other good though, Ayutrica/Eclipseed, Hatsuki Yura, Ariabl’s Eyes, Lostfairy, Seraph, Emiru3, Suzuha Yumi (she has the kajiura vibes) Love Solfege being a giant of video games OP and ED, Chibicco folk etc.

On a sidenote, Jill, a popular japanese violonist who plays for Rose Noir, Unlucky Morpheus, Lostfairy and Hollow Mellow got to play the remix version of FEH heroes Lonely Puppeteer
