In my PMD verse, Elysia is a co-owner to a local bakery shop with her Dragonite mate, Clay, and even takes on a side job as a tinker to help repair small mechanical stuff like the pocket watch she wears (which inspired Kairos into the engineering and building mechanical electronics later on). Some say the current leaders of the Exploration and Rescue Guilds sometimes seek her consul at times…

one of my favorite things to do when replaying pmd sky is try to pay more attention to the Treasure Town residents throughout the story. there is ALWAYS new stuff after every little story beat even in places u never think to look and i find something new every playthrough. like i had no idea u could meet Sneasel as early as the start of the Dusknoir chapter!! thats so cool!!

got like 1200 ish lines of code for a thing in like 2 hours yippeee

it's a thing to make it easier to modify stuff for mario kart 64 it'll make my life 1000x easier i just have to enter a few numbers in and out comes a file i can apply to the game with some other program instead of having to copy and paste stuff for like half an hour to an hour every time i want to make changes

yknow maybe its because i havent played any of the other mystery dungeon games, or maybe its just my abnormally high tolerance for jank, but so far i dont really see what people mean when they say that Gates to Infinity has bad gameplay? Its nothing outstanding or anything but bad??

Like, if this is considered bad, then I REALLY need to play the other mystery dungeon games because they must be on another level.

Was learning how to draw Miraidon so I can draw Kairos and Elysia for my PMD verse. Kairos and Elysia are blood relatives!

How to interact with Pokemon IRL blogs that are radically different from yours

Note: This will be assuming that both blogs are open to interacting with any other type of blog. If the blog you're trying to interact with does not allow interactions with your blog type, then I'm afraid this guide won't be of much use. Sorry.

It's been pointed out more and more recently that the Pokemon IRL community has become more and more compartmentalized, for lack of a better word. Subcommunities are having less and less interactions with each other.

I'm not mad at anyone, but this is a problem. Which is why I'm making this guide, to help facilitate interactions between subcommunities!

Part 1: Don't be scared

First of all, I know it can be scary to interact with blogs you haven't interacted with before. But what have you got to lose? Worst case scenario, they say you can't interact with them, and things stay the way they are. In most cases, though, you'll get a new person to interact with! It's near impossible for reaching out to be a net loss, because the worst thing that can happen is that nothing changes.

So go for it! Interact with that blog you've been eyeing! Make a new friend!

But you might not know what to say. And that's what the rest of this guide is for!

Part 2: Read the intro post

Intro posts are very important! They let you know a lot of relevant things about the blog. It can be very difficult to interact with a blog without an intro post, so make sure to make one and pin it!

With that out of the way, read the intro post of the blog you're wanting to interact with! Read through it fully, and see if there's anything that sticks out as a possible interaction point.

If you can't find anything, read through a few more posts. There might be something happening that you can jump in on!

Part 3: Differences in Canons

Your blog and the blog you're wanting to interact with most likely have some differences in canons. Maybe they're a PMD blog and yours is a Ranger blog. Maybe they're post-Sword and Shield while yours has them ongoing. Maybe they're a Faller blog and yours is someone who's a fan of the media that Faller is from.

And that's ok! Part of the fun of Pokemon IRL is that not everyone follows the same canon.

Luckily, one thing that is accepted canon for 99% of Pokemon IRL blogs I've seen, is the multiverse!

Not every blog takes place in the same universe. The website that Pokemon IRL takes place on is multiversal, and connects to a vast variety of worlds.

Don't be discouraged if someone else's blog canon doesn't match up exactly with yours. Use it to your advantage! If your blog and someone else's blog have a canon difference, that's a possible interaction! Have your character comment on the difference, and watch things play out!

Part 4: First Interaction through an Ask

If you found something through your reading that you see as a potential interaction point, then it's time to interact!

The easiest way to interact with blogs for the first time, from my experience, are asks, so I'll cover those first.

First, it's completely fine to have a "default" ask that you send to blogs you want to interact with. Heck, I do it myself, with Tropius' "what's your favorite thing about humans" asks.

Besides that, though, I recommend @-ing your blog in your ask. That way, they'll know it's from your blog, and you can spring off into a full interaction from there.

You can also send asks on anon, and then when they reply to it, reply back via a reblog on one of your blogs.

Any of these methods are perfectly valid!

Part 5: First Interaction through a Reblog

When reading through the blog of the person you want to interact with, you might see a post that catches your eye, one that you feel like you could interact with directly. In these cases, a reblog might work best.

Simply start a reblog to that post, add whatever your character wants to say, and post! And with that, you've initiated an interaction!

Part 6: An Example

Let's say that we have a blog called mcdeinosofficial, a regular person working at the restaurant McDeinos. And let's say that they want to interact with a blog called throughtheoceanoftime, a PMD blog that's about an Explorers protag team.

Reading through the pinned post of throughtheoceanoftime, the person behind mcdeinosofficial sees that they have a Deino on their team who's a chef. Having an idea for an interaction, the person behind mcdeinosofficial sends the ask "Please tell me that McDeinos doesn't exist in whatever whacko alternate dimension you're in."

And an interaction begins! The two blogs, now introduced to each other, can interact with each other freely.

I hope this guide helps you all interact with more blogs!

I just started a new file on my PMD Explorers of Time cartridge because I haven't touched that game in 17 whole years, and it recently struck me that I remembered very little of the plot. So what better way to refresh my memory than experience it all over again years later! I ended up creating my own little narrative for the two main characters to make the playthrough more interesting, with Bulbasaur being the player character and Cyndaquil being the buddy.

My thought was that Deb used to be a divorced, middle-aged accountant before she was suddenly swept away to the Pokemon world and awoke as a Bulbasaur. The whole thing would've freaked her out more had it not been for the young Cyndaquil who discovered her on the beach and tried his best to help despite being quite the scaredy cat. Deb pitied the Cyndaquil (who reminded her a bit of her own son) and set her own issues aside for the time being to join him on an exploration team, hoping their adventures might provide answers as to how she ended up as a Pokemon - and if there was a way to change her back. She hadn't spent all those years saving for retirement for nothing!

I'm honestly tempted to draw what Deb looked like as a human at some point, so I guess we'll see what happens haha.

Whenever I think of Grovyle's emotional state I remember how he calm he is in the underground lake versus him yelling constantly in Crystal lake and how, after discovering his partner is alive and amnesiac, he devotes 2 entire minutes to try being emotional, gets no reaction from hero or partner, and immediately switches tracks to focus on his mission again.

I can't believe how lonely he must have been and that makes even worse how he ends up knowing hero's identity in the worst way possible, with Dusknoir opening his big mouth to say that hero will die with him and his mission is over. Grovyle's reactions to Hero's identity are literally "what", "what" and "........", he probably isn't happy that Dusknoir has turned what was supposed to be great news of his friend being alive into the final nail in his coffin. In the end it doesn't matter Hero was his best friends and the most important person to him, Grovyle is only means to an end, he is there to die saving the world or die trying. I wonder if that kind of mentality is what kept him pushing through everything while he was alone, I wonder if Hero and him had that exact way of thinking and agreed on it, in case they were separated.

Tho ngl, i think if Grovyle knew Hero lost their memories because they shielded him, Grovyle would break apart, this lizard boy can only hold so much guilt in him. He was already repressing all the parts of him that knew there were pokémon who did not want to disappear (i'm sorry but the planetary investigation survey is so ridiculous it barely sounds real lmaooo), he can't handle any more.

I guess the good side is that hero got to enjoy all the beautiful sights and scenaries and people from the past without terrible memories of a doomed future, so maybe it's for the best they don't remember that. (Maybe there was nothing worth remembering :))) )

ALRIGHT so i technically have 2 version of that one. one is based off a rtdx playthrough i did as 2 of my splatoon ocs. basically just rescue team and said ocs' stories mashed together

eevee squidsters. this is from like 2022 i need to draw them again. i made og agent 3 a raboot but i'm half considering changing her to watchog, partially for the hi-vis vest pattern mostly because its funny. agent 4 is still bikachu. eight is a purrloin (i KNOW ive drawn her and three before and i CANNOT find it). i had my neo 3 as a nickit before but i don't like that choice for them anymore tbh. i know i want them to be some sort of hybrid bc they're an inktoling but i can't decide what
