#PLEASE send me recommendations or fanart I am dying

One of the cornerstones of DM is the way Armand feels about human Daniel vs the way he feels about vampire Daniel, and related, who Daniel is before and after being turned, and that one way transfer from human to vampire is so integral to everything about their story and the Vampire Chronicles at large, that a reversal of that transfer that undoes Armand's vampirism rightfully ruins the point of all of it. I know people who are attracted to the gothic horror heart of the series would look at fanworks that ask "but what if Armand were human instead of Daniel a vampire?" and roll their eyes in disgust at how badly that misses the point of it all.

And yet I would like to see those fanworks please. I want to see big brown doe-eyed human Armand and 20-something puppy-dog Daniel happy and in love and alive. I want to see Armand in his 70s with grey hair throwing a blanket over 2022 Daniel while he sleeps off his latest Parkinson's treatment with a grandpa nap.

It's like a cheat meal okay?! It doesn't mean I don't understand the purpose of the pain, the trauma, or the terror in the canon. It's just a little treat, for me. 🥺

Digging Graves —Crawling Out

No Grave- (Mature/2293/No Archive Warnings Apply); Jad Karadin kills Aiden and buries her six feet deep. It’s not gonna be enough to keep her from her from her baby wolf.

Fanart

Mama Cats- (Gen/No Archive Warnings Apply); A gift of fanart for Heronfem based on the newest chapter of A Beginners Guide to Exploiting the Kaedweni Tax Code For Fun and Profit. I can't recommend that fic more —it contains lots of Laiden, hurt/comfort, found family, banter, healthy communication, and healing. Read it because it's awesome.

Lady Laiden- (Gen/No Archive Warnings Apply); I drew my Fem!Aiden and Fem!Lambert as I've written them in my fics. Because I am a useless, useless gay bitch, Aiden has a dark curly mullet, a single hoop earring, green eyes, and a jawline carved from marble while Lambert has Merida-hair with lots of freckles and a distinguished nose.

Laiden Gets Laid (Again and Again)

Sweeter Than Pride- (Explicit/2524/No Archive Warnings Apply); Aiden is so fucking proud of her baby wolf... and all she wants to do is take her completely apart, as low as it makes her feel sometimes.

Collars Of Many Kinds- (Explicit/1830/No Archive Warnings Apply);  Aiden hates Lambert's armor, specifically the ugly, flaking, fucking hideous collar. Her baby wolf deserves better than that, and she's damn well gonna get it.

Curiosity Killed The Cat- (Explicit/5142/No Archive Warnings Apply); Just a few months after the Ogre contract, Lambert is fed up to the ears with Aiden's brand of Bullshit, and now she has to do laundry on top of it. A little stress-relief is more than in order. Aiden desperately wants to learn more about the angry Wolf, and in trying to do so, stumbles headfirst into something she shouldn't have seen.

After they get turned away at their usual inn for Lambert’s heat, Aiden spends the next year making sure her baby wolf will never have to spend another heat in a damp, cold, dirty cave again. He should kill Arnaghad for making them endure the cold just to throw them into the heat of summer, hairy as their school's namesake and completely unprepared. However...... Junod sweating? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm honestly, while I realize that Kiri and Deku are on friendly terms, given canon I’d say if Kirishima needs to talk to anyone about stuff he’s gonna go to either Baku, Kami, Sero, Tokoyami or Mina, since those are the people we’ve seen him open up to, in canon! Same goes for Deku, if he gotta open up to someone it’s gonna be Iida, Todoroki or Uraraka :0 well, it’s not like it’s impossible for them to talk about it, but I can see it happen more in a possible future where they’ve grown closer than they are atm in canon! At least imho haha
