The basic idea for the au is that every member of the expedition as well as characters like silna are reincarnated, but have full memories of their past lives right. I wanted to play with the idea of how having these memories impacts and changes the way they view the world and interact with things [hence characters like silna or goodsir being particularly bitter and angry, though they do work that out.]

It's kind of like. Particularly with the white characters and their extensive history of colonial damage it's an exploration of themes the show itself laid down ie: holding these characters accountable but still recognizing their inherent humanity. It's a second chance, what are you going to do with it? Do you, like solomon tozer initially in this au, become bogged down with white guilt, or do you make the effort to do better, to help the people and communities you've harmed in your past? It's a fun concept for me bc im the type of person who believes very firmly in hope and a better future for mankind even with the damage we've done, and this au is like. The perfect space to explore that.

Also taking evangelical john irving and making him a professor of theology and just utterly in love with religion and culture bc the last interaction he had before he died was one of inherent kindness and compassion is kind of hysterical to me ok. Seal meat radicalized him

do you have any opinions on Lorkhan? i don't think he is often worshipped but to me he is fascinating as a deity.

I do have opinions on Lorkhan! He's actually a God I generally worship when my entity juggling calls for Him. My emotions are generally positive.

Lorkhan is generally considered the Missing God, the God of all Mortals. He's also known as quite a few different names in various myths. As we know, His heart is in Morrowind and the power was used to make the Tribunal and Dagoth Ur Gods. This was either a punishment or something Lorkhan submitted to voluntarily, before the rest of Lorkhan was essentially exiled from Creation. Opinions of Him vary greatly across Tamriel. It was originally considered that Masser and Secunda, the two moons, are His literal corpse, though modern theories and Khajiiti myth don't agree and say that only the third, Dark Moon, is His corpse. The actual truths about Lorkhan are ultimately unknown and unclear, as elusive as Lorkhan is Himself.

As for Lorkhan as a person and a God being worshiped, I think Lorkhan can be easily called upon for acts of connecting with Divinity. Not per se becoming Divine like His heart actually creates, but rather connecting to the part of us that is so special and wondrous and magical and spiritual (hard to explain what I mean...), and also connecting with our spirit guides and Gods.

Lorkhan is also a God of Creation, the Creator-Trickster-Tester deity present in every Tamrielic mythic tradition. So, one could also call upon Lorkhan for help with creative endeavors, like writing or drawing.

One could also rely on Lorkhan to test them, to see if they are truly capable of that which they think they are.

As the twin moons of Nirn are Lorkhan, or considered to be in some cases, one can also rely on Lorkhan for lunar magic.

As for personal experience, Lorkhan has always been a great guide who shows special interest in my creative endeavors. He also likes my quick start guides for reasons a little unknown to me (at some point I need to work on His).

His overall UESP page is fascinating and full of a bunch of fun stuff that's a bit hard to go over succintly so I'll stop there lol

Yeah, okay, it's late but I'll give this one :3

First impression: Oh hey, a black main Xenoblade character. Hope they handle him well, black Xenoblade fans deserve to have nice things too.

Impression now: Get This Boy Some Damn Therapy (as well as everyone else in Keves and Agnus holy CRAP). I hope he gets to live his best life in Alrest now ;w;

Favorite moment: Emotionally, the time in the City where they all see a baby for the first time. I think that's one of the only times Taion genuinely laughs from happiness. Coolness-wise, his Whole Deal in his side story wrt the Lost Colony. (tho let's be real, of course his specific ascension quest is gonna be a highlight of his story)

Idea for a story: I'm not gonna count anything from Shades of Nightfall for this because that's a crossover AU (and also I don't wanna spoil anything from there hehehe), so I guess I don't have one per se.

Unpopular opinion: Ngl, I'm not very well-versed in how other people feel about him, so I don't have anything to add here.

Favorite relationship: Taion and Eunie. Platonic or romantic, I don't care, those two were literally made for each other from a Doylist perspective if nothing else.

Favorite headcanon: I feel like if regular-ass rabbits were in the Xenoblade universe, he'd want to have a pet rabbit. He'd be willing to put in the work to do all of the specialized care they need c:

Oh, there's a lotta options here. for this one, in the dsmp, I'd say that c!Wilbur was, uh, well, there was two drastic opinions of the general audience. either he's pure fucking evil, or he's just a sad little mentally ill boy whose father never treated him right and this is why he's so mean to everyone, why doesn't everyone just forgive him and he and tommy just run away for their happy ending 🥺 Though I did see the latter opinion way more, tbh.

Both opinions were obviously wrong, though each had their points. c!Wilbur was fucked up, did fucked up things and treated his friends like shit, but he was also severely struggling and no one was able to help him before it was too late. He's very multifaceted. So when people try to undermine the damage he has done, or pin that damage onto others, it's just as bad as people who said he's an abusive, awful villain. Because it disregards the complexity of c!Wilbur's character that cc!Wilbur worked so hard on.
