Emmerdale 28.01.25 Part 3
John creeps closer to the tooth, as Billy and Kerry are distracted by their work as he bends down attempting to pick it up as Caleb arrives & questions John's presence preventing him once more as he repeats his cover story about looking to install a defibrillator.

As John explains to Caleb that installing a defibrillator won't cost him anything, Caleb is happy to have it but suggests the office is the best place for it rather than where John was looking at.
PC Swirling & Jai come out of the office about the theft of the £200 Jai announces an investigation is underway only for Caleb to tell him he took it and PC Swirling rebukes Jai for wasting his time.

John looks on as Kerry is hoovering around the area of the tooth and hoping she's got rid of the only piece of evidence he left behind as he watches her empty the hoover bag into the bin with trepidation but unable to access the area himself due to too many staff around. But he did find out what the police investigation was about at least.

이 시스템은 폐수를 모아 음용수를 생산하는 WPA(Water Processor Assembly)로 보냅니다.

[ad_1] Jasprit Bumrah and Rohit Sharma (PC: BCCI/X) A team’s strength can often be assessed by how good the bench is. And that’s where India’s 50-overs side scores over many others. India has someone of the calibre of Yashasvi Jaiswal sitting on the bench as a back-up opener. He is a match-winner, and had had the most extraordinary 2024. And yet, he doesn’t find an automatic spot in the team. With Shubman Gill scoring runs and Rohit Sharma back in form, chances are that Jaiswal might not get a single game in the Champions Trophy. Coming to the middle order, India have Rishabh Pant sitting on the sidelines. Pant, many would agree, is a generational talent and can win a game on his own. And yet, he has to sit out with KL Rahul making the spot his own after some strong performances in the 2023 World Cup. Now that Rahul has failed in two consecutive games, Pant might get a look in for the third and final ODI against England. Either way, one of the two will have to sit out in the Champions Trophy, again evidence of how strong India’s batting is in the format. India also have an abundance of riches in spin bowling. Each one between Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy deserves a spot in the playing eleven. At best, three of the four can be accommodated. In Nagpur, it was Kuldeep who played ahead of Varun, while the roles were reversed in Cuttack. With Axar playing the role of batting all-rounder to perfection, chances are the management will rotate between Varun and Kuldeep. Jadeja, with the six wickets in two games, has settled any debates about his place. Let’s also not forget Washington Sundar, who hasn’t got a game yet. That Varun was preferred ahead of him tells us that the management is looking at Varun as a possible option for the Champions Trophy. While it would be extremely disappointing for Sundar to miss out, such is the competition for places that these things will happen going forward. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Team India’s hurdle session before their 2nd ODI against England. Image: BCCI The only department where India look a tad underdone is the pace bowling. Without Jasprit Bumrah, there is a void which no one else can fill. While Arshdeep Singh has bowled extremely well in T20 cricket and is expected to lead the attack in Dubai in the absence of Bumrah, Mohammed Shami and Harshit Rana haven’t looked at their best yet. While Shami has done enough to prove his fitness, he still needs game time to be back at his peak levels. Harshit too has blown hot and cold. He had a very good debut, and was then modest in the second game in Cuttack. The pace-bowling chink notwithstanding, India’s strong bench strength means the team will be a contender for the Champions Trophy crown. With just a day left to announce the final 15, the only question is whether there will be two changes or one. Will Varun and Harshit replace Bumrah and Washington, or will they take a chance with Bumrah now that it is certain the injury isn’t as debilitating? From my standpoint, Bumrah shouldn’t be risked, for even without him, in the 50-over format, India are the team to beat with most players back in form. A Strategic Milestone: PC Jeweller’s Key Decisions Unveiled
In a significant development on December 11, 2024, the Board of Directors of PC Jeweller convened to address pivotal matters impacting the company’s trajectory. This meeting reflected the company's commitment to resolving financial obligations, ensuring compliance, and bolstering leadership, marking a critical step forward in its corporate journey.
The Board began by tackling one of the most consequential agenda items—issuing equity shares to consortium lenders. This decision was rooted in a Joint Settlement Agreement dated September 30, 2024, aimed at addressing part of the company’s outstanding debts. The issuance involves a preferential allotment of 51,711,462 equity shares, each valued at ₹10, to lenders under the non-promoter public category. This allotment is more than just a financial move; it represents a strategic restructuring effort, offering a route to fiscal stability while adhering to regulatory frameworks set forth by SEBI. Importantly, the issue price exceeds the floor price determined under the ICDR Regulations of 2018, reflecting the company's intention to prioritize transparency and fairness.
A crucial element of this decision involves the adjustment of the issue price and share quantity post the record date for a planned stock split. On December 16, 2024, PC Jeweller’s equity shares, originally valued at ₹10 each, will be subdivided into shares with a face value of ₹1. This strategic move aims to increase liquidity and enhance the accessibility of shares to a broader investor base, thereby supporting the company’s market performance.
The meeting also reaffirmed the leadership within PC Jeweller through the re-appointment of Shri Ramesh Kumar Sharma as a Whole-time Director for a three-year term beginning February 7, 2025. A seasoned professional with over 29 years of expertise in foreign exchange, credit, and administration, Sharma has been an integral part of the company since 2007. His reappointment not only underscores the Board’s trust in his capabilities but also assures stakeholders of continuity in the company’s strategic direction. Notably, he has confirmed his eligibility to serve, free from any disqualification by SEBI or other authorities.
Another significant point of discussion was compliance-related fines imposed by stock exchanges for previous Board composition issues. The company has acknowledged these penalties, amounting to ₹96,760 each from BSE and NSE, and promptly addressed them. The fines, though reflective of past challenges, underscore the company’s commitment to adhering to governance norms and maintaining accountability. With compliance measures now in place, PC Jeweller has paid the fines and resolved the underlying issues, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
To formalize these decisions, the company plans to seek member approval via a postal ballot. The process, streamlined for digital accessibility, will ensure that all stakeholders have a voice in these transformative steps. Notices for the ballot will be disseminated electronically to members with registered email addresses, ensuring transparency and inclusivity. Comprehensive information will be accessible through the company’s website, as well as the platforms of BSE, NSE, and KFin Technologies Limited.
As the Board meeting concluded, PC Jeweller emerged with a strengthened resolve to address its financial obligations, enhance governance, and fortify leadership. The meticulous planning and strategic decisions reflect a company striving to balance immediate financial recovery with long-term growth and market stability. This meeting marked a pivotal moment in PC Jeweller’s journey, offering a roadmap for resilience and renewal in the competitive jewelry industry.

[ad_1] Agnijit Sen with Rohit Sharma in Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and Rohit in action in the second ODI vs England (PC: Debasis Sen and BCCI/X) “He had a quiet way about him, a walk and a talk that just wasn’t normal around here. He strolled, like a man in a park without a care or a worry in the world, like he had on an invisible coat that would shield him from this place.” – said Morgan Freemans booming voice in the film ‘The Shawshank Redemption.’ Just replace the word ‘Andy’ with ‘Rohit Sharma’ in the paragraph mentioned above. For a long time now, I have felt a strange connection with the Indian captain. I don’t know what. I can’t summarise it in words. Virat Kohli was the ideal first bencher. Well dressed, topper, disciplined, class monitor, role model – everything rolled in one. Rohit was always the relaxed back-bencher, laidback, lazy and most of the times, zoned out. He forgot things, wore a ‘don’t care’ look on his face and was always loved by one and all. There was something else to Rohit as well. He knew his favourite subject all too well. Everytime he would step in the exam hall, he would switch himself on. The laidback, lazy back bencher took a back seat. Out came the fluent, flawless, immensely talented student. Each time the teachers looked at his answer sheets, they were amazed. ‘How does this boy sit on the last bench & camouflage himself’ they would ask. Rohit however continued to be the same with his smile turning into a grin. Rohit Sharma in ICC tournaments has been an absolute beast. 2019, 2023, 2024 – you name one World Cup after the other and there came ‘Hitman’ at the top. He would decimate the best bowling attacks for fun, piling up runs and giving India strong starts. Captaincy only made him more responsible and he went about his business with calmness, precision and determination. ‘Mujhe sirf World Cup dikhta hai bhai’ – he said before the start of the 2023 World Cup on home soil. We all thought the Men In Blue would bring it home. And there came the ill-fated 19th November. Rohit went back to the dressing room after the match, wiping his tears and battling hard to stay unfazed. Who knew back then ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ was just six months away? For the Latest Sports News: Click Here Rohit Sharma during the second ODI vs England (PC: BCCI/X) Rohit made one phone call after the 2023 World Cup. Head coach Rahul Dravid decided to stay back for six more months on Rohit’s request. For every 19th November, there came a 29th June. The emotions overflowed. Rohit punched the ground, danced, hugged Kohli and made that iconic celebratory walk to collect the T20 World Cup. Nobody (including Rohit) knew at that time that the year had just begun and the next redemption would take more than just a while. Rohit came back for the Sri Lanka ODI series, lost on Lankan soil, performed poorly against Bangladesh and New Zealand. India slumped to a humiliating whitewash against the Kiwis on home soil. Suddenly, the World Cup heroics seemed like ages ago and everyone started questioning him. Rohit’s captaincy was at stake and he needed his form back. Rohit stayed back for the birth of his kid and could not join the Indian team for the first test against Australia at Perth. Led inspirationally by Jasprit Bumrah, India pulled off a sensational win. KL Rahul batted so well at the top that Rohit came to bat at no 6 in the next Test. Rohit played 5 innings in the Border Gavaskar Trophy and averaged only 6.20 before dropping himself for the final Test in Sydney. Much speculations were made, there were multiple dressing room leaks but one thing remained constant. The back-bencher’s belief. He kept on saying he had cricket left in him and became an easy target on expert panels and social media. Andy Dufresne didn’t lose hope though. He kept reminding himself – ‘Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.’ India announced the Champions Trophy squad after the completion of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
Rohit was named captain again. The Australia series review meeting went on expected lines with Rohit being asked to share his future plans post the Champions Trophy. The ODI series against England began which was of course the dress-rehearsal for the Champions Trophy. Rohit failed in the first match. Another failure and hell would break loose. Rohit Sharma in the second ODI (PC: BCCI/X) Then came 09th February, 2025, a date Rohit is going to remember a long, long time. The venue helped him too. Before this match, he had scored 143 runs at an average of 71.50 with two fifties. Chasing 304 against a strong English pace attack, Rohit looked nervous and jittery at the start. Andy had started preparing for the jailbreak. He knew it would take time. He stayed put. The bat turned in his hand when he played his first scoring shot. Rohit clinched his teeth and continued to fight a tremendous mental battle. Getting to 50 saw a muted celebration as Andy started crawling for freedom. The decisive moment came when he was batting on 88. Mark Wood pitched one up but this was vintage Rohit, the lazy, laid back bencher. Launched over wide long-on, front leg out of the way, hands through the ball, Rohit romped to 94. Century no 32 followed with Rohit stepping out and clobbering Adil Rashid for a huge hit over long off. Rohit now has the third highest no of ODI centuries against his name as an Indian, only behind the G.O.A.T.s, Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. ‘Andy crawled to freedom through five hundred yards of shit smelling foulness I can’t even imagine, or maybe I just don’t want to. Five hundred yards… that’s the length of five football fields, just shy of half a mile.’ Redemption 2.0 was achieved after a lot of blood and sweat. Rohit is not done yet. The world better watch out and remember a simple thing he said to Jatin Sapru – ‘Main kidhar jaa nahi raha bhai.’ TRAILBLAZERS 3.0 Also Read: Bumrah question aside, India and Rohit Sharma look Champions Trophy-ready The post Rohit Sharma – ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ appeared first on Sports News Portal | Latest Sports Articles | Revsports.
