      “ 𝐻𝓊𝓏𝓏𝒶𝒽! ” There’s officially 400 of you following my dear fish princess! When I started this blog, I never thought I would’ve gotten this far, but this community has been so welcoming and supportive. It’s truly been a joy to write with everyone, and I never would’ve gotten here if it weren’t for all of you encouraging me and my writing. Writing an underappreciated character, and especially with the amount of my canon divergence, brought me to always assume that I’d have a much smaller audience for it - and I’m glad to say that I’ve been proven wrong! 

But really, I wouldn’t have gotten anywhere near where I am today without the sheer amount of creativity and talent already present in the rpc. Every day I am blown away by the sheer amount of work that is being put into blogs and muses both, and every day I am awestruck at the replies that I read! And you’ve been there through thick and thin, so I think it’s about time I give a little back and show my appreciation.

          👑 The Low Royals

For those of you who have been with me the longest, who have seen the growth and fine-tuning, and even potentially helped me shape this blog into what it is now - I raise a glass to you! You’re all my good friends, and I can thank none of you enough. I truly do appreciate and care for all of you, though I might be bad at saying it. You’ve all made me laugh, and cry, and feel ten thousand other emotions, and I can only hope to support all of you the same as you’ve supported me.

Tam / @necrodanger / @ruiincd / @rebeljest : You have been here from the beginning, and for that, you are the first upon this list. Where would I be without your help? When my Miranda first started interacting with your Val, much like the princess not knowing how deeply she’d fall in love with the pauper, I did not know how such a wonderful friendship would grow between us. You have been through Hell together with me, and though I may stumble, I trust you. Your companionship has been crucial to so much here, and I can only hope that I have helped you grow as much as you have helped me. You are irreplaceable in your talent and creativity, and you know I look forward to everything you write, all that you draw, and every day that I get to chat with you over Discord. I can never thank you enough, and I am truly in your debt!

Jeremy / @grave-risen / @lioncovrte / @covenwtch / @amalgaemate : Jerm!!! Gosh, what praises can’t I sing of you and your excellent muses? Your characterization is spot on - there’s just such a warmth that you breathe into all of the characters you handle. They truly take on a life of their own in such a special way, with all the unique pitfalls and challenges that come with them! You have such fine little details that I love to see in each individual personality and your devotion to detail is to be admired. Likewise, you’re someone who I know I can trust, as that warmth truly spreads over into you yourself, and you’re just such a welcoming and genuine friend that I know I can just vibe with without any pressure. I really do love the plots we’ve done so far, and really look forward to seeing how Brian and Miranda handle becoming friends again. I may tease about him being a snack, but you know I’m here for all of the emotional curveballs you can throw at me!

Shorp / @pasttorn : I might be bad at chatting you up recently - but as always, you know I adore your Damien and all of the drama that he can cause! He’s a shit-stirrer of a muse, and you know I love the way you write, which together is just a perfect combination for a great time! You’ve also been around a bit longer in the rpc so you’ve seen some shit, and you’ve seen me reboot this blog and remake my lore. And for that, for sticking through as I went completely off the rails, I think that’s a pretty good summary of you! Chill, supportive, and sweet, a good pal all around to just vibe with and have some fun creative blends with!

Lola / @monstersmashed : AH... Oh, how Miranda loves her Marcus, and how I adore all the OCs you make! What kind of talent is it to be able to make so many unique OCs and have them all be so individual in such a way that really shows the quirks that makes each and every one special, and where can I get some of that? I remember Junie when she was much, much newer in the rpc, and I swear my adoration for what you can do with an interesting concept has only grown!! I sincerely love plotting with you and working out how your darlings can interact with my three disasters, and just absolutely a good friend all around.

Oli / @mindsmelded : OLI! I know you’re inactive right now (and honestly, I don’t blame you) but I GOTTA give you my love too! Every single reply from you just gets me EXCITED to read, with how you handle your muses! There’s just a passion and a flow to your prose that I love, and I truly admire how you can detail out exactly how each muse thinks in such a unique style that, even if you didn’t give a name or pronouns, you know EXACTLY which muse is responding! I admire you for that, and really that’s such a valuable skill that I want to master in my own writing too! You’re overall just such a supportive sweetheart who I can trust to talk to, and expect plenty of wholesome memes in return as a pick-me-up!

Here is to all who I roleplay regularly with, but maybe don’t chat up as often as I’d like on Discord or through messages, or maybe just haven’t known as long as others. You have such excellent characters that I love to see interact with my fish princess, and I can’t wait to talk to you more! Some have budding relationships with your muse and Miranda that I can’t wait to see blossom into something complex and special all on their own, but all have just wonderful muses who I highly recommend you give a follow if you haven’t already! There’s a truly special amount of care being put into their writing, and I cannot recommend them enough.

Raz / @superbeaucoupdevisages : Honestly I didn’t expect to start to ship Oz and Miranda, but, WHELP, it happened!!! And I’m glad it did, honestly, because these two? Cute. Very cute!! With a whole lot of potential for angst and lore-exploring too! And really, I’m looking forward to it, because the way you write is simple and concise, which leaves it wonderfully IMPACTFUL. It’s short, sweet, and hits right where it hurts!! Which could honestly be said the same as you, as you know how to make your ideas known in as few words as possible. You know how to be there without the need for pretense, and sometimes you really do need someone to be there to get to the heart of issues, and for that, I thank you!

Hannah / @ciiclops / @bingemuscs : Probably the odd one out here as we have known about each other for quite a while, predating my reboot, but we’ve only recently really gotten around to chatting, which is a SHAME. I love just being able to infodump with you about my lovely, lovely arachnids, and Iris has always been such a charm to interact with!! I can’t wait to see how she might interact more with Miranda and how they might get along, as I’m really just a sucker for nerd and prep friendships (or maybe even something more) !!!

Zac / @collectathon : Can I just say that I’m super excited for your Zoe muse already? There’s so much to get into still, and she’s pretty new in terms of Miranda’s interactions, but I can’t WAIT to see what happens! Especially with all the ties Miranda has to the eldritch... Plus, I know to go to you for a good time, and I don’t think I’ll get over Miranda trying to frame Scooby Doo for arson anytime soon! He’s honestly really funny, and sometimes even I can forget how lighthearted the actual tone of Monster Prom can be - so I think having something a little lighter is really good! Mori / @roskaarotta : Molly is one of those OCs who I can just immediately pick out as one of my favorites, with the amount of care you’ve gone into in making her! Your writing with her is a lot like how I see your art with her - absolutely soaked in a killer atmosphere that you can’t get anywhere else. I love how you took demons/angels and put a bit of yourself into them, and the character drama you write is to die for! I love hearing all of Molly’s backstory and really get a grasp of her personality, and you KNOW Miranda loves her Raccoon Wife!!

Rilli / @empatheticxangel / @marquisxofxlove : Speaking of which - YOU ARE ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF SOME OF MY FAVORITE OCs! Liam is such a darling, and you’re another big inspiration in me furthering my own lore! The amount of detail you work with for Liam is awe-inspiring, and I truly love hearing about how his world works and the history it has, alongside his own unique biology! The way you handle his powers is legitimately something I haven’t seen done before, and I think that really just goes to show exactly how much consideration and love is really going into developing him. Not to mention - you DRAW all your icons!! Like, DAMN. 

Dani / @candyredmuses / @pxppinmolly / @bluemoonmuses : DANI. NERD. DORK. FELLOW MUN OF A PINK PRINCESS. I cannot say how much I appreciate you! And though we might not chat it up as regularly as some others (basically until I find a meme or song that reminds me of you) - you are on my mind!! Your work on character development CANNOT BE OVERSTATED. I think about Molly and your work on her so often, and she truly inspires me to further work on Miranda and put all the more thought into detailing her out! ↳ happy belated valentine’s day !

          He’s not sure how he’s never come to go ice skating in his forever amount of time spent on earth, but alas... And, true to his nature, the idea initially sparks a sense of nervousness the second that Damien suggests it, the thought of slapping on a pair of steel blades onto his already naturally-clumsy frame hardly seems like a GOOD combination.

          But, who knows? Maybe it’ll turn out that he’ll be great at the activity, like some sort of secret, hidden talent just waiting for the opportunity to burst forward and make itself known- and, possibly impress Damien along the way...?

          OR - and in much more likelihood - he’ll fall flat on his face the second he steps onto the ice. He really isn’t looking forward to such potential embarrassment. 

          Still, the fact that Damien is asking him to do this - together, on Valentine’s Day, no less - is undeniably the most compelling aspect of all. Also one that’s certainly the most difficult to turn down, even if Oz isn’t sure whether he’s intending it to be a an ACTUAL, real, legitimate date or not...

          “Oh- w-well... that sure sounds, um- interesting...” he starts off, slowly, as if waiting for Damien to yell SIKE and leave him standing there like an idiot. He continues, anyway. “Okay... Y-Yeah, I- I think I’d like that... Y’know- if- if it’s really not... extreme...”

Monster Prom Wingman AU Christmas Special

Past

Sparrow woke up at 4 am to find his stalking on his bed, at this time Sparrow was still going by Simon and was living with his human (Adoptive) Maternal grandfather. Simon emptied his stalking finding a puzzle, which entertained him until 5 am, luckily at 5:14 he heard Vicky and Yellow(Oz), over the walkie talkie. This was also back when both Vicky and Brain were alive and all of them were in middle school.  

“Anyone else awake, and more importantly bored?” Vicky asked

“This is Simon,” he whispered “and yeah I’m bored”

“Same Here” Amira picked up

“Good to hear form you two, I didn’t know you two celebrated Christmas.”

“I don’t, I’m just bored” Amira shrugged

“*Yawn* Morning everyone.” 

“Oh, Sorry for waking you Brian.” Simon said

“It’s Okay.”

“Go Back to bed Allison!” Brian’s parent’s yelled

“They still call you that?” Vicky asked

“Yeah...” Brian sighed

“Hey why don’t we all go to the meeting place?”

“Yeah!” Vicky and Yellow said in Unison

“Okay.” Brian said

“Meet you all there.” Amira said

Simon put on his stuff and opened his window. Back then, Simons eyes and wings made him a freak, so he put together the Googles, face mask, Gloves and Sweater to make him look like a normal kid. His window was above the covered porch. From there he climbed to the top of the house, and then leapt. He glide as far as he does now, but he was still pretty good at it. He glided from roof to roof until he reached the park, he saw Vicky biking there as well as Brain walking. Simon landed in the clearing and tucked his wings away. Amira was already there, her hair appeared to be red in color, an illusion. Simon and Amira were the only two who hid who they were, what they were.

The Color Squad met up and Hung out until they saw the sun, then they went home and enjoyed their Christmas Day, Not knowing to some it would be their last for quite awhile.

Present(Spoilers for Wingman AU)

Context: Oz, Vicky and Brian have moved into Sparrow’s penthouse after realizing that the teenager whose mother died right before his eyes may want company, Amira still lives with her family, but is a frequent visitor. Sparrow is dating Vera, Oz is dating Zoe, Vicky is dating Liam, Brain is dating Scott, and Amira is with Damien, and Polly is actually Sparrow’s Third Cousin(Their Great Grandparents were siblings)

Sparrow’s Penthouse has a massive (artificial) Christmas tree, The thing reaches the second floor. Scott and Brian are putting the garland on tree, while Vicky, Damien, Liam, and Amira are in the kitchen baking Oatmeal Cookies, Peanut Butter Balls, and Tracey Hawk’s(Sparrow’s Mother) Apple Crisp. Vera, Valerie, Mr. Oberlin and Polly are Putting up the lights. No, they are not doing this on Christmas, this is Christmas Eve, and with some many hands helping, Tomorrow’s Christmas party is going to go off without a hitch.

Liam, Damien, and Zoe have never had a Christmas before, Damien despises the holiday, but both Amira and Vera will have his head if he acts out. And Liam never participated, seeing how “Mainstream” Christmas is.

Everyone opened one gift before they left, but they would return tomorrow for the party, Vera gave Sparrow a long kiss goodbye, knowing tomorrow would be hard for him, it was the 6th Christmas without his mother, but the first with no close family at all.    

Future

Time has gone by and the color squad had kids, The Color Kids if you will. Casper was the Illegitimate Child of Polly and Faith, Faith still wants nothing to do with them though, Seeing them as a freak accident. Now despite being Trans-gender, Brian never fully went through a gender transformation, so when he and Scott wanted a bio kid, they did it the old fashioned way. Zoe and Oz got freaky and made Dorothy, a sweet little adorable eldritch fear being. Calculester somehow got a hold of magic seeds that granted him a daughter in the form of Caroline. Now despite both of them being undead Liam and Vicky still brought life into this world, Mina was the name given to this life. Damien and Amira had a few kids, the one around the same age as the others is Fyra. Last but not least Sparrow and Vera have many kids, some biological, some adopted, all loved by their parents and Aunts. Sparrow and Vera have hosted Christmas for many years, their friends rejoice at not having to sett up as many decorations each year because of it. But this year in the middle of the party Sparrow noticed someone was missing.

“Quasi! Tracey!” Sparrow called for his kids from across the room.

Quasi flew over to him, while Tracey glided from the second floor.

“What’s wrong Dad?” Quasi asked

“Where’s your cousin?”

“Casper? They were here a minute ago.” Tracey said

“Alright, Can you two back up?” Sparrow asked, and as soon as he backed up he took a deep breath and Screamed, now he isn’t just being loud, this is how he flies. Sparrow flew over to Polly.

“Hey Cuz, Casper’s missing.”

“They said they needed to get some fresh air.” Polly said, she then put on her serious face “They’ve been feeling like faith doesn’t care about them, it’s worse around the holidays”

“I know the feeling, I’m gonna try something.” Sparrow says floating down to a pantry closet, but this isn’t full of food, Sparrow’s father was an artifact collector. This closet held a lot of magic, Sparrow even keeps Amira’s necklace in here for safe keeping. Sparrow grabbed a golden orb the size of a basketball. he then went to the balcony and whispered to it

“Faith Fernández” he spoke, then the orb started to glow and fly, it zipped off and Sparrow followed it. As you can probably guess it’s a tracker orb, Sparrow landed right behind Faith, two blocks away from his building.

“Come to lecture me about my “Responsibility” again?“

“You know me so well, and yeah. Here I am again, and here you are again”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Funny, how I keep finding you not far from the kid, yet you say they’re a Freak Accident.” Sparrow Started “First, you were at the school, when they received an honors award, and here you are now, in clear view of my Christmas party”

Sparrow threw up his hands in surrender, “Alright, but for someone who lectured me about what’s right. You’re refusing to do the right thing and take responsibility for Your accident.”

Before Faith could yell that Casper is Polly’s accident, Sparrow was gone.

Personality

They are a Psychopomp [the Greek name for angels and spirits who act as escorts for the recently deceased] No, they are not a grim reaper, an angel, or a vampire (they get guessed those a lot)

Also, no, they do not choose who lives or dies. Actually, Cole is one of the safer individuals at Spooky High to hang out with (depending on your definition of ‘safe’) because while they are incredibly powerful, all their powers are non-lethal. It is just their job to escort the spirits of the deceased to their afterlife.

Cole is mostly asked to escort kids, as they appear very young and have a youthful outlook (plus it helps that they often bring along their dogs: Infinity and Eternity.

This Also led to them having a Punk/Stick-It-To-The-Man Outlook. They have escorted too many children who died from wars where they were innocent bystanders, diseases that they couldn’t afford the treatment, or starvation in times of plenty but those with authority, wealth, and power were hoarders.

Many people assume Cole is very dark and gloomy, but they’re honestly a huge nerd. They will rant to you about how every artistic movement was political in some way. People think Cole is angry at the world, but no. They’re angry at the top 1% who control most of the world (”GUILLOTINE THE RICH!”)

Will sometimes revert to old ways of speaking, especially in times of high emotion (Especially Elizabethean/Shakespearean; “What Fools These Mortals Be” is Cole’s most said quote)

The scythe is more a joke. The Prank Masterz decided it would be a funny gag gift with how annoyed Cole gets when they are referred to as a reaper (plus their last name), but just to annoy them Cole reacted like it was just what they wanted and has carried around ever since. They did dull the blade though. It has been useful as almost a shepherd’s crook to keep classmates from getting into trouble.

Relationships

... yeah, if you couldn’t guess based on their personality, Cole doesn’t get along super well with Miranda and Vera. Miranda is spoiled and doesn’t care about the lower class. Vera at least is hard-working and a feminist.

With most individuals, Cole is not exactly a friend, but also people like having them around. The Witch Coven and The Slayer like that Cole wants to help humanity, even if they don’t see eye-to-eye on each other’s methods. Still, Cole is the most welcoming of the heroes.

When it comes to the dangerous monster antics, Cole has a mindset of “I won’t get in your way unless someone undeserving is about to get hurt.” (Basically: Vera is poisoning someone for attention? Fine; just give them the antidote when you’re done. Damien wants to set the whole school on fire? *gets Damien angry at a banana then throws it into the bathroom so the separate building is all that’s set on fire... Miranda’s hair/dress may or may not be collateral damage*) People act like they don’t like Cole getting in their way until they’re saved from month-long detention or worse by Cole’s rep among teachers as a goody-two-shoes (Especially Damien and the Prank Masterz).

Hanging out with Damien is practically babysitting. (”Damien, do you know how much paperwork goes into reversing someone who dies before their time because of you? No! You can commit arson, but not around mortals!”)

Definitely chill with Zoe and Oz. They’ve known each other since before the earth was formed. Also, they’re kinda the nerd/fandom squad. They have pretty much made a Shakespeare!AU for every fandom they are in, as well as other time periods.

Liam and Cole have an interesting relationship. Liam was the first undead spirit Cole was asked to escort, and they both had a mini-freak out because Liam was “dead” but not DEAD. (turning into a vampire is a weird sitch) Still, it led to a dynamic where Cole will call out Liam’s Hipster-ness and describe how what he enjoys is not hipster-esque at all. (”Just Like What You Like, Dude!”)

While Cole isn’t close with every soul they’ve escorted, they are really close with Polly. They’re in a lot of the same classes and they relate to having nerdy interests while not looking like stereotypical nerds (You know the trope of when someone is high they’re a philosopher? Their friendship is like that but with a lot of references to literature. They’re also science nerds who live by “the difference between messing around and science is writing things down”)... also Polly died on impact, but her family held on for a while. You kinda become close when you’re waiting almost 36 hours to see if the trip to the afterlife is just going to be you two, or if mom, dad, or younger sibling are coming along as well.

All-in-all, Cole isn’t one of the most popular or charismatic classmates, but they’re seldom alone. they’ll often be found talking fandoms through history with Zoe, what it means to be human with Calculester, playing catch with Scott, wrangling the mischief-makers, giving Liam a hard time, or chilling with Polly.

The box that arrives a few days before Winter's Veil, and a few days after the fire has 'DO NOT SHAKE' printed on the outside in neat handwriting. A faint rattle of glass from within.

Inside, a set of six flat bottomed twelve oz. glasses. Each of which has the name and logo of a pub from back home etched on it. The Harvest and Hound of course, the one Damien worked at. The Grand Mallard. The Duke's Mistress. Under the Wall. Crown's. The Rose Fox. The glassware seems new, but considering Alyssa's skill with etching and fine jewelers tools, it's likely she did the work herself.

The note inside reads:

One of these years I'm going to not get you something related to Gilnean bars. Not this year though. I love you Damien, you're the best brother anyone could ask for. My Winter Veil's wish for this year is that you find a nice girl, settle down, and I hear about a pending niece or nephew by next Holiday.

Monster Prom

Damien, if he REALLY likes you and has opened up about his Passions, will actually give you a special spa day on Valentine’s day. He’ll style (and cut if you want) your hair, get you new clothes, and even do your nails/makeup. He then sets an effigy he made for you on fire, and then orders pizza. It’s a nice day.

Vicky is happy to go out on a date! She takes you out to a party one of her friends is hosting, and you two end up making out in a closet.

Amira takes you to a mall! Mostly for an arcade and mall food. Bad mall Chinese for the win! She makes you ride the in-mall carousel, as well.

Vera gets you some VERY nice (and expensive) gifts. Whole new sets of outfits, some foods/desserts from around the world, and if someone’s been a thorn in your side, well... you may get a heart on Valentine’s day, it just won’t be her’s.

Oz prefers to stay at home and watch movies. They’ll order in from both of your favorite places, get some desserts, and just have alone time with you.

Miranda brings you to her home- the part above water, anyway- for a lovely day! Has her serfs get you gifts that you pick out from a catalog, and sets up a nice lunch/dinner for you both. The rest of the night is spent cuddling while the serfs entertain you two.

But hey - it was his damn birthday. He was reserving the right to be fucking petty today.

HUBLOT’S WEEKLONG WHIRLWIND OF UNVEILINGS AND EVENTS AT ART BASEL MIAMI

Hublot is investing in the arts in a very big way. The luxury Swiss watch brand hosted a series of events and artist collaborations during a weeklong extravaganza of events called “Hublot Loves Art” during Art Basel Miami. A much talked about event with famed tattoo artist Maxime Büchi, who created a pop-up tattoo shop for special guests to celebrate his collab on the Big Bang Sang Bleu watch was the highlight, wasn’t the only artist collaboration from the brand. The week also included: a mid-day cocktail party in Hublot’s Bal Harbour boutique to celebrate the arrival of the Concrete Jungle watch made in with graffiti artist Tristan Eaton, an exhibition at the Hublot Galerie in Miami’s Design District of artist “Flore” a.k.a. Christopher Florentino’s artwork, a collector’s dinner with Sam Nazarian and Philippe Starck at The Delano hotel where Dave Chappelle was a seated guest, a party at the Star Island mansion of Lisa and Lenny Hochstein where Fat Joe performed, a brunch at Bagatelle with  Mr. Brainwash and Bradley Theodore, and finally a big bash for DJ Khaled’s birthday at Liv in The Fontainebleau Hotel.

Hublot invited select guests to their Bal Harbour boutique in Miami to announce the arrival in the U.S. of its Classic Fusion Aerofusion Special Edition Concrete Jungle timepiece created in collaboration with artist Tristan Eaton. The watch, which is dedicated to New York City, features actual concrete around the bezel with Eaton’s logo integrated at 3 o’clock, and features a chronograph to track time in the city that never sleeps. (By the way…to all those who have experienced Art Basel, that slogan can be applied to Miami as well.) On the back of the watch is artwork of the Statue of Liberty by Eaton, which has special significance to the artist.

“This is the craziest collaboration I’ve ever really done. Working with Hublot was a huge honor,” said Eaton. “I moved to New York when I was 19 or 20, knowing nobody, and I was just trying to start my life there as an artist. By the time I left New York it went from being this big beast that I was trying to conquer, that was so hard on me, to being this giving mother of a beautiful metropolis. One of the things I left behind was this mural of the Statue of Liberty at Canal Street and Mulberry. I wanted to paint that piece there because I was so scared of New York forgetting that I was there. I painted this five-story mural of the Statue of Liberty and that snowballed into over 40 murals around the world in over 20 countries. It was a big boost into my fine art career. When Jean-François [Sberro, managing director of Hublot America] got to know me, he knew that was very symbolic of my time in New York. He asked me to recreate that Statue of Liberty in an exclusive way for Hublot. I made three paintings for them so they could choose one. That one is on the back of the watch. It’s this love letter to the city that made me who I am.”

Eaton also made a wrap of his artwork around the boutique and debuted two new works, Mystic Mystic (2016) and Kiss My Assassin (2016).  The Concrete Jungle Classic Fusion Aerofusion timepiece is limited to 50 and will be available for purchase at Hublot boutiques for $19,500.

Hublot converted the Hublot Galerie in Miami’s Design District Boutique into an exhibition space to showcase the worls of  Christopher Florentino, known professionally as “Flore”.  The artist displayed works created exclusively for Hublot in the boutique, two of which sold during the event. And if you’re looking for something to wear on your back instead of on your walls, the artist has created limited-edition jackets with the girls behind Instagram hit Here/Now Shop (@herenow_shop), see below and stay tuned. And, naturally, although there is no official word, we can imagine you will be seeing a bigger collab between this artist and Hublot in the future.

“I just moved to Miami two months ago. My pace has really slowed down,” said Florentino. “I’m from New York so I’m used to hustling and going like crazy, but out here it’s a much slower pace. Just by virtue of being by the beach and near the ocean it changes your whole way of life. The water here is gorgeous. I’m used to the brown water in the Hudson River, you know what I mean? So my palettes have also been changing in my work. I’ve been using more color. Miami is paradise so it has directly affected my work in every way from the colors to the mindset I’m in while I’m painting.”

Florentino can thank the rapper for Future for catching the eye of Hublot. “Ricardo [Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot] had seen a piece I had done for Future at a Haute Living event and he told me he loved my work and wanted to get together on an event for Art Basel and this what the outcome of that,” said Florentino. “Art Basel gets bigger and better every year. It’s very inspiring because all of the architecture and all of the interior design in these hotels have so much artwork, so it’s everywhere you go. If I got out to dinner at the Faena Hotel, I can se Damien Hirst or if I go to the PAMM Museum [Péres Art Museum Miami], I can see Basquiat works there, so Miami is really rich in art.”

Hublot hosted a dinner for collector’s with artist Philippe Starck and Sam Nazarian, the CEO and founder of SBE Entertainment Group, at The Delano Hotel’s Bianca restaurant. The hotel was one of Starck’s design projects in the mid-90s and remains one of the must-see hotels in Miami. A family style dinner of shared plates including beef carpaccio, rigatoni Bolognese, 42 oz. dry aged bistecca fiorentina, grilled red snapper, and chocolate budino were served and paired with vintage wines from Sinegal Estate Winery, a Napa Valley wine from vintners David and Shelley Sinegal, who were also in attendance. Big name art world guests like Mr. Brainwash and Bradley Theodore were in attendance, but perhaps the biggest and most surprising appearance of all was comedian Dave Chappelle. Heads turned and smartphones were whipped out as soon as Chappelle slipped into the room. The notoriously reclusive Chappelle has been back in the spotlight recently thanks to a brilliant hosting gig on Saturday Night Live. Here’s hoping there’s more where that came from!

After the dinner at Bianca at The Delano Hotel, guests from the dinner and more headed over to the mansion of Lisa Hochstein (of the Real Housewives of Miami fame) and her husband Lenny Hochstein. Guests sipped on drinks on a sleek patio overlooking Biscayne Bay and South Beach, where a boat full of guests arrived mid-party. Later in the evening there was a performance by hip hop artist Fat Joe, who was presented with his own Hublot watch by CEO Ricardo Guadalupe before the show. The artist performed his best hits like: “What’s Luv”, “Make It Rain”, “Lean Back”, “All The Way Up”, and “All I do Is Win”.

At Bagatelle in Miami Beach on Saturday, Hublot held a charity brunch for Haute Living‘s annual Black Jaguar White Tiger Brunch. The fundraiser supports the Black Jaguar White Tiger rescue, a nonprofit that helps rescue animals in need and provide them with medical care and a home. The organization, which was started by Eduardo Serio in Mexico, rescues and cares for over 240 jaguars, tigers, leopards, lynxes, pumas, lions, and more from the abuse of circuses, zoos, and breeders. Art by Mr. Brainwash (who was seen tagging guests with his yellow crime scene tape that read “Life is Beautiful”), Romero Britto, and Bradley Theodore were auctioned off to support the cause and each piece went for upwards of $40,000. The proceeds of the entire event raised approximately $230,000.

Hublot threw a bash for DJ Khaled’s birthday at Komodo in Brickell. During cocktails, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupepresented DJ Khaled with a custom made Big Bang Key watch designed in his likeness with the motto “We The Best” on the caseback. Later, DJ Khaled was also gifted the first-ever pair of Hublot sneakers co-designed by Davidson Petit-Frère and Yossi Benshetrit for their New York-based label Lavati. The sneakers come with Lavati’s signature waxed laces with black Swarovski-embedded lace tips, a fine matte black leather upper. The sneakers were commissioned by Hublot to celebrate 10 Years All Black watch.

To say that Miami has a huge presence in Miami would be an understatement!
