Zakaria pushed through Oxana's hospital room door, it was his first visit of the day but he had been here every day since the shooting. He was constantly back and forth having to check in with the rest of the MC and his daughter. "You ready?" He asked, with a small smile. "I bet you are excited to escape this crap place, but um..." He trailed off, "You are coming back to the club house with me. You can't stay at your apartment until we know his guy isn't coming back for a second shot, not after he threatened to finish off that serpent bitch." He stated, referring to Griffin Gallo and the group chat incident with Freddie.

Sure, the gangs came first, but she would never do anything to ruin the integrity she had as a doctor. McKinley loved her work; it was important to her to be able to help people through their darkest times. She wasn't surprised one of her brothers recommended her to help the young girl from the attacks. It broke McKinley's heart that she was involved and had to see something like that, but that's also probably why she wasn't involved in the raids in the first place. There are also other reasons. "Hello, I'm Dr. Ryan." McKinley greeted them as she opened up her office door and let them come inside. "You must be Sophia." she was as chipper as always, it was good for her patients, "Mom you can stay with us for today. We are just going to do some building and getting to know each other."

Nico was deep in a job the past few days and hadn't had a chance to see his nephew since the last secret went out. He sent him a text that went unanswered but knowing how that kid was with his phone he wasn't surprised. Walking into seduction, he hoped to catch Jason on his shift but he wasn't so lucky. Spotting that familiar dirty blonde that was always up Jason's ass he approached, "Hey, have you seen the kid?" Kid. Nico's nickname for Jay. It had been for years now even as Jay nears 30 and is only 5 years younger than Nico himself.

Last night did not go how she had seen it playing out. A run-in with Kaia left her on edge and with too much anxiety to really enjoy the night. She ended up going back in after a bunch of people cleared out but her night was ruined. What a shame for the buckle top. After the texts went out Oxana had to go her separate way but not before agreeing to meet her the next day. Brooke had some big-ticket items she needed help with. It was time to get the skeletons out of her closet and fill Oxana in on the backroom business. Opening the door she let her friend in. "Okay, so we have a small side project to do while we talk, mainly because I can't do it myself."

Me, on the actual International Women's Day: I wrote this awesome story with five strong female characters in it. I should post about it.

So, in honor of International Women's Day, but a day late from a busy AuDHD woman, have an awesome story featuring five female characters who are amazing and bad ass and overcoming their various traumas and having adventures.

Griff nodded, "Yeah probably. I mean, if we take each other down it's less work for him. And in reality, we are all competing against each other." Griff shrugged. "I don't care for gang politics. I just get excited when they let me break out my sniper. I was one of the best in my arm days." Griffin missed the army, very much. When Ella dropped Rae off at his door and he became her soul caretaker he was taken off active duty. He needed to be home with his sick daughter and be there for whatever life she had left. At the time the treatment wasn't looking promising but there was a chance, a chance that became a reality and he still had his little girl. He still worked on the base and did some weekends with the reserves so its involvement with the serpents wasn't really something he preached. "No. I would never make a good leader." He knew it, their serpents knew it and even the army had that on his file. "Too impulsive, not enough care for other people. I'm good at strategy. But that's due to planning. Either way an impulsive sniper is lethal and I was good at my job." He shrugged. He missed it, but not enough to leave his kid and go back.

"Ehh. I probably pissed someone off somehow some way, it is my favorite hobby. I truly am a bored cunt most of the time. Plus it's fun watching people get worked up over stupid shit. Take Dante for example, he is so funny to get mad." Griffin couldn't help but laugh thinking back to their night at pandemonium a couple weeks ago. "As long as they don't hurt Rae, I don't care what they do to me. I'm a hard fucker to kill anyway so I'd like to see them try. Rae is set for life. She would be okay. Probably misses me dearly, I hope but her mom is back now so she wouldn't be alone. Plus Jordan is a good uncle. My mom is crazy on the other hand. She has been standing post down the hall. If you heard crazy Italian woman yelling, that would be mama g." he chuckled. "But also you being stuck here isn't hurting anyone. I'm sure you pack a punch Oxy but one wrong move with that hole in your gut and you are down and probably just more of a danger to your little biker friends than anything else." HE said rather bluntly.

𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐄 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐖𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄 griffin was coming from -- what the other wasn't thinking of that for some? the shadow had done them a favor, cutting the head off the top snake. when the rich were simply left to their own devices. but now? it was much more personal. " hell, he shot me for digging. he wants to have us questioning, with little to no answers. and most of all? i can see a world where he wants the bloodshed to be all on our hands. to turn on each other. " as much as oxana had her own pride to thank for her short temper, she had come to learn there was a time and place where it was best to swallow it. to bite your tounge. " ah -- i remember there was a time in my life where i never thought i could lead. for the first twenty years or so, i was always out for myself. " after another pause, she ponders if she should say these words. diplomacy, with a serpent. she could here the woman she was a year ago cackling in shock. " but now.. i don't think any of us have the luxury to. people can go back to hating each other the second that asshole is six -- no -- twelve feet in the ground.. but it's only going to get worse. "

oxana shakes her head, surprised at how much she's laughing. what makes him different? when for the past ten years, she had been taught to despise anyone who wears their kind of green? and while she knew the grand majority of them still shared their pompous, grating nature ( certain serpent personalities were like nails running achingly slow across a chalkboard ). " yeah. " she nods, releasing a gentle exhale. they wouldn't let her out. she had to see him. " i'm just worried. and it doesn't help that i'm stuck here. " for the next couple of days at least. griffin, you may be different, but dante is far from it. he's as shallow as they come. " none of us may be saints, but none of us deserve this. you didn't deserve to get hurt for being a father. i didn't deserve to get shot for simply wanting to protect my people. " while she had once spent her hours questioning why, she had begun to come to terms with it. she wasn't weak, not like the voices told her. the universe had simply been tired of leaving her unscathed.

Oxana was on the table, all ready for the doctor to come in. Zak was still feeling like he took a beating, because well he did. He could hardly keep in his excitement. It had been so long since he had been in a room like this. He took Oxana's hand and gave it a squeeze. "We get to see our little bean." He said before leaning over and pressing a kiss to her stomach and then another to her lips.

Brooklyn felt the dip of her mattress and her eyes shot open, she fell asleep. How long had it been since Jason left? She wasn't even sure. Did she fall asleep when he was still there? She didn't remember really. She had been so sleep-deprived, that getting some of it off her chest finally brought her peace. "I guess you all know my lock is broken now, huh. Jason has a big mouth." She said as pushed herself up to be sitting, "You didn't have to come though. I'm fine." all lies.

Sunday Night Spotlight

Using this to highlight one of my published works that has not gotten as much attention as others, and I would love to see more hits on it.

Zeilen is the 10th story in my series Kanej Wensen, and while it helps to have read any of the other stories in the series, it does stand on its own. We get to see Captain Ghafa's crew victorious in battle, Inej do some spy craft while training a new spider, adventures in four original character POVs, and a visit to Pekka and Alby Rollins.

The action takes places 2+ years post Crooked Kingdom, and is generally canon compliant, with an established Kanej relationship

Griffin ran of delusions sometimes but most of the time it was calculated, and here in this moment he was being the same. "You would think, but I missed Ella's pregnancy. Either way you look good. You sure you didn't eat Zak? That or he has a big ass baby. I've seen pictures of Ella with the twins, Now those were some big babies." He was 6'5 so it was granted. "Well, share with the class, what you got? Babies are so cute. Actually I have questions for you." She went on and on about seperate ways and blah blah blah. "Yeah cool whatever, anyway. Miray is pregnant."

FRANKLY, EVEN IF GRIFFIN himself wasn't present the day of the shooting -- the day family was taken from her, she didn't give a flying fuck. he was high enough in the serpents to be involved in some way shape or form. therefore, she couldn't trust him as far as she could throw him. all that talk about wanting to be better than one's parents, offer their children a life that was better than their own -- it meant nothing to her now. her gaurd was up, and she had babies to protect. therefore, she wasn't going to take a single chance of them ever knowing hurt. no matter who she had to cut out to do it. " for someone with two children, you'd think you'd know what to say to a pregnant woman. " it would make sense that he hadn't seen her, the way the ghost riders were protecting her. " ....yeah. i do. " not just the gender, but the genders. the last thing she planned on doing was letting him know that she would soon be caring for more than one baby. " griffin, you stopped being my friend when that council member of yours shot the love of my life. i was stupid to ever trust you. lets just get through this, and go our seperate ways. understood? "
