You had felt it coming on for a while now. There was just this feeling, of something practically gnawing behind your eye. Not literally, of course - if that had been the case, you would have gone to see Ziegler a lot sooner. It started with a light headache. You thought it would go away with some water - which you drank in abundance, along with a couple of painkillers, to try and help the headache's swift departure. However, this did nothing. By the end of the first day, your head was pounding. Nothing besides laying still would sate the ruthless and unending hammering inside your skull. So, you resigned yourself to your room - the cool air of the place surrounding you in your little cocoon of sheets and pillows, your eyes creaking shut with a relief that you couldn't voice the pleasure of.
You had had the vague hope, when you laid your head down to rest, that by morning, the ache in your temples and behind your eyes would have subsided enough that you could just take some more painkillers, and go on with your day as normal. However, upon opening your eyes you had to throw that plan right out the window. The small amount of light that had managed to get itself past your company-issued blinds felt like you were staring straight up into the sun. You groan, shuffling as much as you can to shy away from the light. This proves much more difficult than expected, however - there's a stiffness in your neck that stabs at your muscles with each little flex. There go today's plans, you think to yourself. And just when you thought you had everything for today under control, too. You had planned everything out; you'd start the morning off with breakfast as normal, before spending some time in the Zen room, meditating with Genji. That was an activity you hadn't had the luxury of partaking in for almost three weeks, and you had been dying to be able to do it again - it always started out as a normal meditation session, but would always eventually devolve into you both sharing stories or gossip with one another.
A part of you hoped that Genji would notice you not turning up to your shared meditation session today - especially since you had both been talking so avidly about it over the past few days, in almost childish anticipation. But the more logical part of you - as defunct as your headache made it - knew that this would likely not be so. As caring as Genji always was to you, he was never one to pry. If you didn't show up to something, he wasn't going to chase you down about it - though he would normally ask next time he saw you, in case it was something that he could help get off of your chest. Your thoughts swim in your head as you try your damndest to try and grab one and hold onto it. It doesn't work very well at all. You're hardly even able to comprehend a word or image in your mind, let alone an entire thought. Your eyes clamp shut again as you half-heartedly shuffle to lay on your side, your back now to the window. It helped a little bit, but your head protested at even that movement. You let out a quiet, involuntary groan at the pain settling itself at the front of your head, pounding against your skull with a vengeance. Your body falls still as it begins to rest once more, trying to naturally shake off the headache. Your chest rises and falls slowly, almost laboured from having to actually use the muscles despite it being necessary, as the pain starts to spread down from your neck into the rest of your body.
It was difficult for Genji not to notice your absence in the Zen room - though, as you had rightly predicted in your headache induced haze, he hadn't thought too much of it as of yet. There was a lot of pressure on you - and many of the other operatives still involved with Overwatch. It wasn't uncommon for mental health days to be mandated by those working the med-bays, particularly Doctor Ziegler. So, Genji just assumed that this was what you were doing that day - he'd catch up with you when he saw you next. Though, as he sat across from one of the others you were meant to spend the day with, eating lunch, the subject was sprung upon him much sooner than he had expected. "Where do you think they are?" Niran - one of the newer members of the force - asked Genji. The cyborg glanced up, his eyes narrowing beneath his mask for a moment. He just wanted to eat his food - as difficult as it could be at times, removing the lower half of his face plate wasn't exactly easy, nor comfortable. So, he just continued eating, knowing full well that Niran would continue the conversation by himself anyway. "It's so odd that they wouldn't turn up, and not say anything…" He pondered, pursing his lips before eating some more of his own meal. "I mean, even if it wasn't anything to worry about, they'd still say something, I know it-" The man continued, his mouth half-full of salad. "Do not talk with your mouth full." The other replied, his voice low, and quiet. It wasn't threatening, but it certainly was a warning. Niran quickly covered his mouth with one hand, making sure the remainder of his mouthful couldn't be seen by the much calmer of the pair. "Sorry!" He replied bashfully, looking down briefly as he spoke. But, within a moment, he was back on his original train of thought. "But my point still stands... Perhaps someone should go and check on them!" Niran's normal optimistic tone was now laced with worry - ordinarily he tried to keep his thoughts aligned with the optimism that he often found lacking in his colleagues, but this had never stopped him from also being an avid worrier. "Are you going to?" Genji asked, mostly a rhetorical question. But instead of just making Niran think, it gave him a sparkle in his eye as his face spilt into a smile; "That's a wonderful idea, Shimada!" He exclaimed, getting to his feet. Genji just... Stared at him. Niran stared right back. "Aren't you coming...?" "No." Was the Cyborg's curt reply. "My question was purely rhetorical. I had no intention of going." "Oh... I suppose that... makes sense." Niran said slowly, pursing his lips and raising his brows for a moment as he thought this over. "But I'm still going to go." He told him, starting to turn away. "I would finish your lunch first." "No, no... I'll have something more later." Niran waved his arm in dismisal, as he started off down the hall, making his way to the living quarters.
Niran was very familiar with where exactly your quarters were - the number of times he had walked back with you, and even stayed the night, were immeasurable. Without a doubt, he could walk this route with his eyes clamped shut. Of course, the closest he would ever get to that was if his eyes were fixed on you, whilst you were both in the deep throes of blissful conversation - which, admittedly, was more often than not anyway. His steps were light, almost silent, on the cold hard floors as he rapidly approached your door. Cheerfully he lifted a hand, knocking three times fast, a signature knock you would have noticed and recognised immediately - if you were awake. Unfortunately for Niran, you were not, and thus no response came from your humble little room. This confused Niran - you were not normally one to miss out on a whole day of spending time with your closest companions for nothing. His brows drew together, as hundreds of possibilities ran through his mind; had you run off? Were you still in your room? Had you - somehow - gotten lost in the facility?
Niran shook his head. Of course you couldn't have! This was your home- how could you ever get lost? With this in mind, he slowly slid the door open, peering inside your darkened room. "Hello?" His voice wasn't too much more than a whisper, as he was now starting to worry that he had disturbed an impromptu nap of yours - which, of course, he was right. Your groan of discomfort was the only response he got at first. So, he started to slide the door open a little more, only to be met with a louder, more disgruntled moan. You fling your arm over and try to lob a pillow at him, but you fail miserably - the pillow doesn't even go past the end of the bed. Niran gets the message, though; close the door. He hurries in, sliding the door quickly shut behind him. "Oh dear..." He mumbles, mostly to himself, as he draws closer to you. "You don't look well at all.." He states, as if it weren't the most obvious thing in the world. You feel the back of his knuckles gently press against your forehead, as he takes your temperature. You try to bat his hand away, but the action is less than half-hearted; you just don't have the strength to put up much of a fight. "'s cause 'm not..." You grumble, your gravelly voice partially muffled by the pillow you're still laying on. "Let me help you..." You sense him moving by your side, and you absently wave a hand in his direction, trying to shoo him off. You didn't want any interaction, you just wanted to be left alone. You groan again, attempting to get the message across without actually uttering another word - you just didn't have the energy to talk any more. Niran gives you a pitying look, even though you can't see it you can almost feel it. The way his face falls when something upsets him, the way his bottom lip juts out as he starts to pout a little bit - it's all there, in your mind's eye, fuzzy as it may be at the moment.
You grumbled again - you were trying to say 'please leave me alone', but of course, all that left your lips was a load of garbled sounds, of which nothing could be made out. "Here... Let me get you some water..." Niran says gently to you, and you're somewhat aware of some footsteps moving away from you - you don't particularly care for the other sounds after. You try to get yourself back to sleep, shuffling a little bit to get comfortable again. "No, no... Let's try and sit you up..." It's Niran's voice again, and you feel a pair of hands on your arms, gently trying to move you into a seated position. You don't struggle, but it still takes quite a bit of effort for him to get you sitting comfortably, even if your head does keep lolling from side to side. The room is swimming, spinning as you try to focus your eyes on something. You can't settle them, only close your eyes to try and dull the sensation that the sudden movement has caused. "There, there..." He soothes, "It's alright... I've got some water for you..." He says gently, as you feel something cool tap against your bottom lip. You hesitantly part your lips, and as soon as you felt the water hit your mouth, you drank hungrily. "Woah, slow down..." Niran warned, pulling the glass away from your lips for a moment. "You'll make yourself sick if you keep drinking that quickly..." He brushes some hair from your face, before allowing you to drink again. "I've never seen you so ill... Even in this light you look awful..." He says gently. He moves the chair you keep at your desk to your bedside, slowly lowering himself into it. "You rest, for now... I'll make sure you get drink when you wake... And then, when you can sit up properly again, I can make you some food..." He pauses, allowing this to sink for you. "I could make you some Som tam, if you'd like..." He offered, though you don't reply, slowly sliding down from your seated position, back into a more comfortable laying one. Niran lets you, his only interference being how he moves your pillows around your head. He crosses one leg over the other as you settle properly, making himself comfortable. He was going to watch you as long as you needed him to.
As he sat, and the day wound on, he started to work on something for when you woke. It wasn't exactly difficult work per se, but he was working almost tirelessly to make sure that it was just right, exactly perfect for you. He worked on some holographic roses, fashioning each petal carefully, so they sat just so amongst each other. He had about seven by the time that you finally awoke, feeling... A little more like yourself. "Niran?" Your voice takes the Thai hero from his work, his brown eyes instantly seeking your face in the slightly pink tinged light coming from the roses he had been making. "What are you doing?" Your voice is a bit gravelly, but he can make you out just fine. "Why, making some flowers for you, of course..." He replies, proudly holding his handiwork out to you. You carefully reach out to take them, unsure if you can actually hold them in the first place. Turns out, you can. They feel quite warm, unlike normal flowers. "You didn't need to do that..." "I thought it was customary to get people flowers when they are ill?" "Well, yeah, sometimes, but it's just me... You really didn't need to-" "I wanted to..." Niran chuckles. "I care for you, of course I wanted to give you flowers... Is that so wrong?" He asks, and you can't help but smile at him. "I guess not, no..." You reply, "But how long have you been sitting there?" "Oh, since yesterday." He tells you, waving a hand as if it is not a big deal. You stare at him, slack jawed. Before you can say anything, Niran holds up a hand to silence you. "I have had food, drink and sleep, before you even think about telling me off..." "You shouldn't have-" "I wanted to... I didn't want you to be alone whilst so under the weather..." He told you, "I know you'd do the same for me in a heartbeat, so..." He shrugged lightly. You reach out, carefully taking his hand in yours - like the roses he had given you, they were warm. "Thank you, Niran..." He smiles at you as you speak, lowering his head for a moment, somewhat bashfully. "Oh, really, it's no problem - I was happy to do it... Just... Don't go getting sick on me all the time, hm? I'm sure I'd be called away sooner or later, and I'd hate to leave you..." You both laugh a little bit.
Niran decides to break the silence that falls over you both. "When you're back at full health... I'd like to take you out.. I can get us reservations at this fantastic restaurant. I've wanted to go for almost two months now, but I've had nobody to go with!" He exclaims, chuckling softly. "I'd love to go with you..." You tell him, "Only if I can pay, though." "No, no.. I'll be paying, I insist!" He replies quickly. "It's the least I can do for someone as wonderful as yourself... Let me treat you..." He pats your hand gently. "But only once you're completely well again... Until then... You rest.. I'll be right here..." He keeps his hand on yours, giving you that warm, gentle smile. "Now... Have another nap... I'll be right here, for when you wake again..." He tells you, and you slowly nod - you know he's talking sense, so you slowly get comfortable again, falling quickly back into a deep, restful sleep, assured that Niran is watching over you.

// AN: ILOVE LUCIO SO MUCH. ALSO SORRY THIS IS SHORT AND BAD
Lúcio sprawled out onto the couch in the base, taking a deep breath. He was exhausted; the mission was long and hard, it was hot, and he wasn't getting the best sleep. As soon as he saw you from across the room though, a big smile formed on his face. You noticed him instantly and went over to him.
He pulled you into his arms, peppering your face with lots of little kisses. "Hey," he said between kisses. Lúcio's smile was contagious, and you couldn't help but giggle a little bit at the kisses. You smiled, "Hey, Lúci,"
Lúcio paused his kisses momentarily. "You alright?" He gently tucked some of your hair behind your ear, looking into your eyes. "Just tired?"
"Yeah. Just tired."
"Alright."
Lúcio pulled you closer, humming quietly. He was warm and his shirt was soft. You felt safe in his arms, like nothing could ever hurt you. But most of all you felt calm. Maybe it was the humming, or the way he was holding you. You and he often fell asleep on the couch, so the others were used to the sight. He smelled like coconut and cologne and sweat. "Take a shower. You stink." You joked, burying your face into his chest. He laughed. "Yeah, but you love it." You scrunched up your nose in mock disgust, leaning away. He laughed again, "So if I smell that bad, why are you snuggling up to me like a little cat?" You shrugged, and went back to your original position. In his arms, safe, warm, calm. Lúcio kissed your forehead.
"You love my smell,"
You took a deep breath, then giggled and kissed him on his nose. "Yeah. But mostly I think I love you."

Pairing: Cole Cassidy x NB!Reader
Genre: Fluff, Romance, SFW
CW: Pet names, flirting, minor cussing, and kissing?! (😦)
Word Count: 1,090 or so
Summary:
While you are traveling to visit family who begged you to come down, you decide to take a pit-stop break at a small Texan town on Route 66. This was your first stop in any considerable amount time but it has a lot of southern charm, and one cowboy you grab your eye is ALL southern and lots, and I mean lots, of charm. I guess you can say you two went on a date too.
You grabbed your bags as you waited for the train to finally pause on its tracks and for the conductor to confirm everyone can leave. It had been a super long train ride, not being helped at all by the dizzy feeling of motion sickness you had mid-train ride. While gathering your things, you sighed. How long was it to go from South Carolina to California? You thought while looking out the window.
Desert. A town surrounded by sand, dead trees, and cacti. What a great first look at Texas. Although, you couldn't really complain. It was time to stretch your legs and sleep on an actual bed... If there is a motel here, you weren’t one-hundred percent sure what was even in this town. I mean, there has to be a place to eat, especially since you were starving. What food could be there? Fries maybe... or even grilled cheese... you are in texas so there has to be barbeque.
You were interrupted by your thoughts by the train conductor speaking. “Everyone is now free to leave! There is a restaurant for your hungry folks, a nearby motel, a gas station, and of course the train station! The next train will be here tomorrow morning heading more south..”
His voice started fading from your ears as you stood up, trying to move through the slightly crowded hallway. You held onto your bag tightly, so as to not lose what you have, as you pushed through groups of people. Before you knew it, you were outside in the Texas sun. It was decent, not too hot and not too windy.
“Now... where is…” you asked yourself while walking out of the train station to locate the restaurant. “Oh, there it is!” you said happily, fixing your bag before starting to walk to the restaurant. You had no idea last time you had a full meal, I mean yeah you brought snacks for the train but that couldn't be counted as a meal. You looked around at the people in this town and you were very out of place. People here wore old western clothes. Boots, cowboy hats, and some had lassos on their belts. It was like you were in an actual western movie.
While looking at everyone, you caught the eye of a certain cowboy. He wore a red poncho with a brown hat and lots of facial hair. He also has a lot of metal on him. ‘He must get hot in all of that... And his hand is also robotic?’ you asked yourself as he started to walk your way. Your eyes raised up to the man's face, a slight nervousness coming up. You weren't nervous because of his good looks, but because he saw you looking at him. He started to walk to you, a southern chuckle emerging from his lips as he finished the cigar he was smoking, throwing it on the ground and stomping on it.
You fixed your posture and put up a nervous grin, hoping he wouldn't yell at you for staring.. Although it would be acceptable, I mean, you would do the same. “Someone seems to like our town,” he said in a teasing tone while you looked up at him nervously. “Sorry I was staring, I’ve never been here before and I just am surprised everyone here wears cowboy hats and stuff” you explained as the Cowboy laughed slightly more.
“You've never been here before? Well may I welcome such an attractive person like yourself to this little town I call home?” he asked, bowing with open arms for a moment before standing up and placing his hand on the holster of his gun. You were taken aback by how flirtatious he was being right now, I mean, calling you attractive in less than a minute of meeting? You gave a nervous laugh while covering your face slightly. “It’s an honor to be here, Mister…?” you asked, lowering your hand as you started to process how hungry you actually were. “Cole, Cole Cassidy at your service,” he replied, tilting the brim of his hat to you. “Sorry for the conversation change but I haven’t eaten an actual meal in fucking forever- is that café any good?” you asked, pointing to the only restaurant in sight.
“The Panorama Diner? Oh yeah, it’s good… As good as a place in the middle of nowhere can be” he laughed, turning his body to the diner. “Hey, do you wanna eat with me? I’ll pay for your meal if you agree, stunning traveler” he half-joked, starting to walk to the diner. Obviously, you agreed, I mean, free food and the ability to go on an unofficial date with a handsome cowboy, it’s a win-win! “It would be an honor to be on a date with someone who has all the southern charm in the world” you replied, quickening your pace to catch up with Cole.
“So, where are you going up to? Arizona? Washington? Or are you here to stay in this little town with little ol’ me?” Cole asked with a raised eyebrow, leaning towards you before leaning back to normal. You laughed, fixing the bag around your body. “Despite the fact I would love to stay here with you, I have to go to California to visit family!” you replied with a laugh, shoving your hands into your pockets. “Damn, looks like you have a whole lotta more ways to go, but I ain’t the one to question why someone goes places” he laughed, his smile growing slightly as you two stepped up the stairs of the Diner.
The Diner didn’t look that bad, and I mean it was busy so it had to be good. “Oh, by the way,” he stopped in front of the door to look at you. “I may be a little bit popular here, so if you see people looking at you they aren’t in awe of how breathtaking you look, they just are wondering why you were chosen to go out with me” he jokingly said, nudging your arm with his elbow before laughing. Cole opened the door and motioned for you to go inside first. You stepped in, the smell of food overwhelming your nose, the coolness of the building that contrasted the outside dryness, and the talk of the people was the best thing ever to your right now.
The two of you walked in and seated yourselves, Cole grabbed a menu as the two of you were heading to a booth next to a window. You sat opposite each other. Cole handed you a menu and you glanced over it, all the food options looked so good. “Hey- what do you always get here?” you asked as Cole looked up from his hand resting on the table. “I get the pie, but if you want a good meal,” he began, leaning over the table and pointing to the ‘Texan Charmer’ which was a burger and fries. “Now that's what I normally get” He laughed looking up at you. You met eyes with him as he leaned back down with a growing smile. “I think I’ll get that, and maybe an apple pie after. If you say it's good it has to be, right?” you jokingly asked him as he laughed. “I mean, if I say something is good in any sense, it’s one hundred percent true,” he half-joked, causing you to give a small chuckle.
Cole raised his hand up to have a waitress, the only waitress, come over and take the orders of both of you. This gave both of you time to talk and get to know each other. “So, why did you ask me out to go eat?” you asked, leaning on the table a bit towards Cole. “Well- Unlike everyone else on that train you were alone and caught my eye,” He said, a bit nervously, clearing his throat. “And I didn’t want anyone else to try anything on ya, since there are few gangs and stuff here” he explained, looking away from you. “Wow that- that’s sweet of you, it’s honestly a surprise,” you laughed, causing Cole to grumble a bit as the food was brought and placed on the tablet with your drinks.
You looked at the food in awe after thanking the waitress. “This smells so good,” you stated, grabbing some fries and putting them in your mouth. “Everything here is a homemade, fun fact!” he replied, grabbing a fry with his robotic arm. “Hey, that’s mine!” you jokingly said while leaning over to get it back. “And who's paying for your food again?” he asked in a teasing tone, raising his hand slightly out of reach. You reached for the fry one more time before leaning back with a fake annoyed look. “Hey, don’t worry buttercup,” he started, eating the stolen fry. “You have plenty more fries to eat on that plate of yours... In the meantime though,” he changed the subject to his food, his apple pie.
The two of you ate in general silence, only talking or commenting on the food once or twice. “Is that pie any good?” you asked cole with a raised eyebrow, already finished your burger and most of your fries. “Best I've ever had actually,” he laughed, taking another bite with his fork. “If you want a bite just ask, I’m... I’m not hungry anymore,” he said, looking away from you as he pushed the pie and his fork toward you. “No way am I eating this myself, especially when I can share it with a handsome cowboy like yourself,” you flirted, sticking your tongue out at him as he chuckled. “Fine then, guess I can’t miss the opportunity to eat with someone as stuntin’ like yourself, darlin’,” he replied, his southern accent coming through in that sentence.
So, as stated, the two of you shared the desert together. You were more flustered than he was, never really sharing food like that with a stranger- or more of a new friend. Crush maybe? You didn’t know what was the right thing to call him as of current. After he had paid for both of your meals, you two decided to head out. You had to get a motel room so he decided to walk with you. It was sundown, so you assumed Cole wanted to be ‘protective’ of you. It was slightly comforting. As you walked Cole lit a cigar.
“So, how long did ya say you were staying here?” he asked you, putting the cigar in his mouth. “Just until the next train comes here,” you replied, taking a step closer to Cole, finding comfort in him the more you two hung out together. “I think the next train will be here tomorrow afternoon,” you added. Cole nodded silently as you spoke, taking the cigar out of his mouth for a moment to have fresh air before putting it back. “Hey- will you at least see me before you leave?” he asked nervously, clearing his throat. “I would- I want to exchange numbers... In case you wanna come to visit” he said, changing his demeanor from nervous to flirtatious. “Or if you wanna spend the night at my place, you're free too.” You laughed, nodding your head as you leaned your whole upper body on him as you two walked to the motel.
“Despite the fact I would love to spend the night with you, maybe another day” you replied, opening the door to the motel check-in. Cole dropped his cigar and stomped it out as you asked for a one-night motel room. It was pretty quick to get you one, which you were glad for. Cole followed you to your hotel room, watching as you unlocked the door and threw your bag in real quickly.
“Well, Darlin’... It was nice spending the day with you. Tomorrow I'll stop by to say goodbye, yeah?” he asked, cupping your cheek with a chuckle. You smiled, grabbing his face with your hands and leaning his face towards you, the smell of cigar almost making you lean back. “I guess i will be waiting then” you smiled, leaning your face forward and giving him a cheek kiss, moving your hands as he stood slightly shocked, and a bit offended you didn’t kiss him on the lips. But I mean, you can’t have him be too eager, now can you?
You walked into the motel, turning to Cole with a grin.
“See you tomorrow, Darlin’!”

Egoist {Moira X Reader}
You knew who she was, what she was. Even in the black suit with the purple tie and under those gloves, the long nails of her hand were always visible, the way her right hand was thinner, veiny while her other one looked healthy, her face plate always adorning her left eye, even when not working. When she left to work, you knew where she was going, what she was doing. But when she looked at you, the way she held you, you just couldn't let her go. You loved her. But maybe, she did not.
It was unusual for her to have enough time to accompany you to one of your outings with co-workers, like on holidays, bit you were glad that today, this random Friday evening she did have time. Usually she worked from early to evening, always looking to find the key to life. And yet, she would always come home to you, she would lay down in your bed and talk with you if you were awake or tucking herself into your side when you weren't. You were lucky if you saw her everyday in a week, but you didn't mind too much, what she was doing was important, no matter how you disliked her cruel ways of researching.
It was a fromal event in a restaurant, a celebration of one of your co-workers birthday. Moira hadn't stalled around much to get read, she simply opened the closet and pulled out her neatly stored black suit and a purple tie. You watched as she got dressed, her nails digging into the expensive, sensitive fabric, somewhow avoiding it getting ripped. She looked stunning, like an absolute professional - as if she was a chef of a very high ranking firm. She wasn't, she was a researcher, a fighter, a member of Blackwatch, but no one else needed to know. Today, Moira was simply a scientist - and your wife. She had tried to cover her damaged hand with gloves, even tried cutting her nails, but they didn't want to be cut, so she ended up with broken gloves, nails raking out. Hopefully no one would mind her weird appearances.
They did.
Of course they did.
They were confused and you let Moira explain - some sort of terminal generic illness she got by being exposed to too many Experiments and fumes. A lie, of course. But they believed it. That was all that mattered. After you came home that night, she unbuttoned her blouse and opened her tie, letter Ng them dangle aroung her ill frame and falling into one of the chairs, exhausted from this day full of work and the meeting. You had smiled at her, tried to help you relax, but with a quick flick of her now ungloved hand and a curt "No" you retreated to bed, leaving her alone.
You don't think she joined you that night. Maybe she did, but you were definitely not in your arms. She was just tired, nothing else. It was fine, after all, she was a hard working woman.
You stood up early next morning, making her breakfast in bed and even making her lunch to bring to work with her, one that she'd probably forget to eat again. Her mood was better when she woke up, coffee and food ready, she thanked you, gave you kiss and left no food on her plate and no coffee to cool.
You didn't register when she started to change up a bit, when she would watch you closely, not with love, like she had before, but with curiosity. Maybe it was after you had been diagnosed, doomed to live only a few months. Maybe it was when she made you the proposal.
"I can fix you. I can fix you, like I fixed myself, like I fixed all of them"
Maybe it was after you had said yes, or when she started to expirment on you. You were unsure. But the experiments hurt, even though she held your hand, held you close in her arms when you cried, nestled safe on her lap or even when she kissed your tears away, her low voice in your ear.
"You are doing so well, Love. Just a it more, okay? Stay strong for me"
Maybe you should have declined, died with her love still intact for you, before you switched from lover to experiment in her eyes. Maybe it would have avoided this outcome. You were cured, yes. But the pain was unbearable. No matter what you did, there was a surge of huge pain following your movements. After a while you got better at hiding it, accepting it. And yet, no matter what you did, even after it felt like simply thinking was painful, nothing could describe the empty hole in your chest, when you saw her pack her things.
"Where are you going, Honey? Is everything alright?" She had looked at you, her red eye piercing your soul
"Of course, Love. Everything is just fine. Blackwatch just needs me to leave for a mission, that's why I'm packing a few things"
"Why?"
"They need me, that's all. I am the only one able to tend to my fallen comrades, after all-"
"No. Why are you lying?"
She looked at you then, turning around to face you and her cold expression made you shiver. That wasn't your Moira. This was Blackwatchs' Moira. Talon Moira. Crazy-Scientist-Moira. Where did she leave to, you wondered.
"I wanted to safe you from the truth. You are awfully sensitive recently. An unexpected result of the Experiments, I believe. But it seems you have unfortunately kept your attention to detail."
You looked at her, confused. "Sensitive? I mean, you have barely talked with me, these past few weeks, you and I, we're married! We should talk a lot, sleep in the same bed! You loved me before all this and that has changed! I just want us to be like back then again. Wher eyou go to work, come home and we sleep, Where we talk in bed and I get to enjoy your company, your arms. You have been distancing yourself from me, and I don't know what to do, I'm devastated! Clueless! Not sensitive!"
Her expression fell for a moment, just a glimpse pat's that cold exterior revealing pity. "It's your fault you believed you were worth anything to me, actually. You were simply entertainment for me, nothing more." Moira turned around, grabbing her suitcase. You tried to stop her, tears falling onto the floor. "No, you don't get to leave me like this! You don't get to walk away from me with all the damage you just caused! I love you! How can you say you never loved me, when you married me?!"
"Like I said. It's your fault. I never wanted to make that impression" She pries your hand away from her arm with her long nails and opened the door while you followed her close behind, words falling out of your mouth to stop her, none of them sinking into either of you. She turned around one last time, before opening the door. "I suppose I should apologize. But you have no use for me anymore. The experiments conducted on you have brought no new revelations and your body is already at it's limit. So impossibly weak, no wonder you wouldn't be able to make it into any of our Organisations."
She handed you the key to the house.
"I never told you I was a good person. You convinced yourself I was. I told you from the very beginning what I was. I've always been an Egoist.'
The door slammed shut as you fell to the floor, crumbling.

Um, I have a thought I rarely see in reader-inserts. In a lot of Soldier 76/reader stories, he and Gabriel are exes and hate each other and etc. But I like the idea of a story where post-fall of Overwatch, Reaper and 76 have made up and are friends again, but have put any romantic stuff behind them. They're still really good friends and supportive of each other (and Gabriel vaguely threatens people not to be mean to Jack). Suffice to say, my request is that Jack met Reader a few months ago, and Jack clearly has a huge crush on Reader, and Gabriel pushes him into actually approaching his crush. (If gender ever comes up, I'd want Reader to be male because Jack is gay)
( hope you enjoy this -
Your Love, is not enough
Reaper had always been a bit of a lone wolf. As a former member of the notorious Blackwatch division, he had spent most of his life in the shadows, working in secret for Talon
But when Overwatch was reinstated, Reaper found himself finding a certain interest in the Agency. Among them was Soldier 76, a grizzled veteran who had once been his closest ally.
In the early days of Overwatch, Reaper and Soldier 76 had been more than friends. They had shared a passionate romance, but it had ended in heartbreak when Reaper's true nature was revealed.
Despite their tumultuous history, Reaper and Soldier 76 had managed to salvage their friendship, working together on countless missions and becoming each other's confidants. And good Friends again
But when Soldier 76 confided in Reaper that he had developed a crush on a man named Y/N, Reaper felt a pang of jealousy in his chest. He had always cared for Soldier 76 more than he had let on, and the thought of someone else stealing his heart was almost unbearable.
Reaper tried to push his feelings aside, telling himself that Soldier 76 deserved to be happy, no matter who he was with. But as the days went on, his jealousy only grew stronger.
One night, Reaper couldn't take it anymore. He called Soldier 76 over to himself and poured his heart out, confessing his feelings and begging for another chance.
But Soldier 76 gently turned him down, explaining that he had moved on and had feelings for someone else. Reaper was devastated, but he knew that he had to respect Soldier 76's wishes.
Determined to prove his loyalty to his friend, Reaper decided to try to get Y/N and Soldier 76 together. He set up a casual get-together, inviting both of them over for dinner and drinks.
At first, things were a bit awkward between Soldier 76 and Y/N. But Reaper did his best to facilitate conversation, telling funny stories and making everyone feel at ease.
As the night went on, Soldier 76 and Y/N began to open up to each other, finding common interests and shared experiences. Reaper watched from the sidelines, feeling a mix of happiness and sadness.
When the night came to a close, Soldier 76 and Y/N finally exchanged numbers and made plans for a second date. Reaper felt a pang of jealousy, but he knew that he had done the right thing. He wanted Soldier 76 to be happy, even if it wasn't with him.
Over the next few weeks, Soldier 76 and Y/N relationship blossomed into something beautiful. They went on romantic dates, held hands in public, and even shared a kiss in front of Reaper.
Reaper tried to be happy for them, but his jealousy continued to eat away at him. He found himself drinking more than usual, staying out late, and neglecting his duties.
He thought about how gentle and nice, he used to be towards him. The way his kisses used to leave him breathless ,and the amount of Happyness he felt when they would hug. And Y/N, is experiencing all of these scenarios. And maybe.. they were doing even more than just that..
One day, Soldier 76 approached him, worried about his well-being. Reaper broke down, confessing that he was struggling with feelings of jealousy and inadequacy.
Soldier 76 listened patiently, offering words of comfort and reassurance. He explained that he valued their friendship above all else, and that he didn't want Reaper to feel like he was being replaced. But deep down Reaper knew, it will never be okay again like it used to be.

Sombra <3
Could we get some smooches from Junkrat and Sombra :p
HECK YEAH!!! I love Junkrat sm and Sombra is such a girlboss <3 I hope you enjoy your smoochies anon <333
You woke up in an unfamiliar room. Where was your bed? Your alarm clock? Your stuffed animal? What happened last night?
You rubbed your eyes and sat up, stretching, letting the memories flood in. You were on... a mission. You remember that much. In.... god, where was your mission?
You looked next to you on the bed and nearly jumped out of your skin when you found someone laying next to you fast asleep. The only reason you didn't though, was because it was Junkrat. How could you forget that you were in Junkertown? Or... outside of it since you were in Junkrat's house it seemed.
You looked down at your leg and saw a massive cut, neatly bandaged. You must've gotten pretty badly hurt back there. Everything was coming back, so that was good.
You heard Junkrat stretch next to you and saw his eyes open, a smile immediately spreading across his lips. "Feelin' better?" He asked, sitting up next to you and putting his hand on the small of your back.
"Yes actually." You smiled and hugged around Jamison's neck. "Thanks for letting me spend the night."
"Anytime, love!!" He hugged you back, using only one of his arms since his prosthetic was sitting on his nightstand.
You pulled away from the hug and were immediately greeted with several kisses from Jamison before falling back asleep in each other's arms.
Sombra was always trying to jumpscare you, but after a long while of her doing it, it eventually stopped working. She would jump out at you with an aggressive "BOO!" And you would stand, completely unfazed with a very unamused expression.
But this time, this time Sombra wanted to change it up a bit.
She jumped out at you, exclaiming her usual "BOO!" and you just stared at her. "Sombra, really, you always-"
She interuppted you by placing a straight onto your lips.
"Shocked you, didn't I, hermosa?"

Project:STAGE
Chapter 1 : One step
I was an expected gift for my parents. Some happiness for them to look forward to as I was developing into this cruel world. However when it came to birthing me, my mother died on that day. I suppose that's the only resemblance of her in my life, a happy birthday and a happy death day. Maybe if my mother was alive, this life wouldn't have been a living hell. My father refused to look at me or even acknowledge me. Even the very friends I grew up with turned against me.
I had a false hope, thinking that as I grew older things would get better. Oh, how wrong I was. The bullying and neglect got worse day by day. My father never questioned the injuries I came home with constantly. In fact, no one ever did. They all looked down on me, a nobody who had tried to be somebody. I tried to be somebody important. I wanted to be that somebody everyone had loved, had wanted, and had needed. If I had known that wishes never came true, I would've burned my world a whole lot sooner.
October came by, The cold entering through the windows every night was the only thing that calmed me down. Coming home, I passed by a small toy store, which is around the corner from my house. I saw a tiny frog stuffed animal, that stuffed animal always brought me a strange calm and tranquility.
I opened the door of my house and saw my father sitting on the sofa. There were no beers near the table or on the floor.
At those times I did not realize my big mistake.
-I'm home.- I said tired.
-Oh, welcome.- My father receives me with a smile, something that surprised me, since he never receives me.
My father sits me on the sofa next to him and offers me a glass of tea along with a piece of cake bought from the bakery across the street. I give him an awkward smile
"What do you want of me?" I wonder inside.
My father starts talking after a while, a few light words turn into a conversation, and a conversation turns into a reflection of all that he has done wrong all this time.
-I guess I can't be like mom, I'm sorry.- I apologize.
"-here's still a chance you'll be like her.- My father puts a hand on my shoulder. -If you join the cult, maybe...-
Oh, so that was all he wanted. I remove his hand from my shoulder awkwardly.
-Dad, I gave you my answer a long time ago.- I told him seriously.
There is a silence. My father looks at me, and he stands up. He raises his hand like he's going to hit me, and that's when he realizes, he realizes how bad he's done. He lowers his hand, looking at me.
-Go away.- he orders me. -It should have been you, not her.-
He doesn't have to tell me twice, I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door, determined not to come back. I didn't bother looking for people, because I know that no one would receive me.
I arrive at the bus stop and get on the first one, which, according to the sign, leads to the bridge. I buy a ticket, with the little money I have left, and sit at the end of the bus.
I look out the window until I hear a voice.
-Oh, hello Lucia.-
Next to me I see a boy with a round face and acne, brown hair and blue-green eyes. Pedro is a classmate from the university, I haven't talked much with him, since he is just a simple spectator.
Hello, Pedro, right? I don't think we have talked much.- I clarify, with a dull tone of voice.
-Yeah. We've never talked, you've always been busy.- She tells me, as if it were a joke. -Are you OK? I don't see you with a good face.-
-It's nothing, I'm fine.- I tell him with a smile
He smiles back at me. I think it's the first time that someone from my class smiled at me, fortunately, I can see that he is not like the people from the university, since he is mature, he is doing advanced practice in a nearby police station.
He gets up and goes to the door.
-Hey. Do you want to eat tomorrow together in the cafeteria? - Pedro tells me.
-Huh? Of course, why not-
He did not know that I would not arrive tomorrow.
A few minutes after Pedro gets off, I arrive at my stop, the Pearly Gates Bridge.
I walk up to this one, it's pretty calming. Suddenly, it gives me an idea.
I take off my shoes, and leave the backpack on the ground, I begin to climb the fence that separates the edge of my belongings.
Once I finish my climb, I stand on the edge of the bridge. I swallow, it's a pretty big drop. But that's not going to stop me. A lot of things go through my head in those moments. Would everything have been happier if my mother had survived? If I had said yes to my father's request, would we have been happy? If I hadn't taken this university and had done an Erasmus, would I have gotten along with my classmates?
But that no longer matters, now the only thing left is...
One step.

HII!! CAN YOU WRITE A HANZO SHIMADA X A SUPER ENERGETIC READER?
The reader the complete opposite of him. But he still really cares and even comes to love them? Even though at first he found them pretty annoying?
a storm in stillness
WARNING: None
PAIRING: Hanzo Shimada x Reader
NOTE: He is so dear to me.
SUMMARY: Though Hanzo initially finds your boundless enthusiasm grating, he begins to appreciate the warmth and light you bring into his life. Slowly, he realizes that beneath all the noise, there is something precious growing between you both.
Hanzo Shimada was a man of precision and discipline, each movement calculated, each breath intentional. His life had always been about control—of himself, his environment, and his emotions. There was no place in his world for chaos or unpredictability. So when you came crashing into his life like a whirlwind of energy, he wasn’t sure what to make of it.
He first met you through Genji. His brother had always surrounded himself with people who were as vibrant and full of life as he was, so when Genji introduced you, Hanzo wasn’t particularly surprised at your loud, cheerful nature. What did surprise him was how quickly you took to him, despite his clear discomfort with your enthusiasm.
"Hey, Hanzo!" you had said, bounding up to him with a wide smile and a wave. "I’ve heard so much about you! It’s so cool to finally meet you in person!"
Hanzo gave you a polite nod, his face expressionless. "Likewise," he muttered, though in truth, he wasn’t particularly thrilled about the prospect of getting to know you. Your energy was overwhelming, almost suffocating, and he found himself instinctively withdrawing.
But it didn’t seem to deter you. If anything, his stoicism only seemed to fuel your desire to break through his walls.
Every time you saw him, you greeted him with the same unrelenting enthusiasm. You asked him questions—so many questions—about his training, his bow, his time with Overwatch. You filled every moment with your bubbly chatter, never seeming to notice or care that Hanzo responded in short, clipped sentences.
"Hey, Hanzo, want to train with me? I bet I could totally learn some of your cool arrow tricks!"
"No, thank you."
"Oh! Okay! Maybe next time!"
At first, he found it annoying—your constant presence, your endless chatter, the way you never seemed to sit still. He couldn’t understand how someone could live with so much energy, so much… joy. It was foreign to him, like trying to make sense of a language he didn’t speak. But as time passed, something curious began to happen. He found himself growing used to you.
You were like a storm—unpredictable and wild—but storms had their purpose. They cleared the air, brought new life. And slowly, Hanzo realized that, though you disrupted his stillness, you also brought something into his life that he hadn’t even realized was missing: warmth.
It started with the little things.
One day, you brought him a cup of tea, having noticed that he always drank the same blend after training. "I figured you could use a break!" you said, handing it to him with a grin. Hanzo stared at you for a moment, surprised that you’d taken the time to notice something so small. He accepted the cup with a quiet "Thank you."
Another day, after a particularly grueling mission, you sat with him in the common area, rattling on about something he wasn’t really listening to. But then you asked, “You doing okay, Hanzo? I know that last mission was kinda rough…”
There was no humor in your voice this time, no playful teasing. Just genuine concern. Hanzo hesitated, caught off guard by the sincerity in your eyes. He wasn’t used to people checking in on him like that—at least, not people outside of his immediate circle. But you had been relentless in your care, showing up every day without fail, and now… it didn’t feel like an intrusion anymore.
“I am fine,” he said quietly, but this time, he met your gaze, offering a small nod of gratitude. “Thank you for asking.”
That was the turning point.
From that moment on, Hanzo found himself looking forward to your company in ways he never would have admitted out loud. Though he would never match your level of energy or enthusiasm, he began to appreciate how your presence lightened the air around him. Where once there had been silence, there was now laughter. Where once there had been tension, there was ease.
You’d pull him into conversations with the others, dragging him into games or casual sparring matches, laughing when he inevitably bested you in a fight. “You’re too good at this!” you’d exclaim, your eyes sparkling with admiration. “I’m gonna figure out how to beat you one of these days, just watch!”
Hanzo would allow a rare smile to tug at the corners of his lips. “I look forward to it,” he’d reply, and though his tone was dry, there was no mistaking the fondness that had crept into his voice.
Still, there were times when your energy clashed with his desire for solitude. When those moments came, you were surprisingly understanding. You’d notice when he grew quiet, when his responses became shorter, and you’d dial back your exuberance without him even needing to say a word.
"Hey, if you need some space, that’s cool," you’d say casually, giving him a thumbs-up. "I’ll catch you later, yeah?"
And though Hanzo would nod in agreement, he often found that he didn’t want you to leave. It was odd—unnerving, even—how much he had come to rely on your presence. You balanced him in a way he hadn’t expected. Where he was rigid and controlled, you were fluid and spontaneous. Where he brooded, you brightened. You were, in every way, his opposite. And yet…
He cared for you. More than that—he was beginning to fall for you.
It was a slow realization, one that crept up on him over time. He noticed it in the way his eyes sought you out in a room, how his chest would feel lighter when you appeared with your usual grin. He noticed it in the way he’d find himself unconsciously mirroring your smile, despite his best efforts to remain stoic.
The day he realized it fully, he had been watching you train. You were as focused as ever, practicing some new technique with a determination that, frankly, surprised him. You wiped sweat from your brow, laughing at your own mistakes, and the sound was so genuine, so full of life, that it sent a pang of warmth through Hanzo’s chest.
Without thinking, he approached you.
"You’ve improved," he said, his voice low but sincere.
You looked up at him, eyes wide in surprise. "Really? You think so?"
Hanzo nodded. "You are dedicated. It shows."
Your smile grew, but there was something different in it now—a softness, a quietness that hadn’t been there before. You stepped closer, your usual energy tempered by something more vulnerable, more tender.
"Thanks, Hanzo," you said, your voice quieter than usual. "I know I can be… a lot sometimes. But I’m glad you put up with me."
Hanzo looked at you for a long moment, taking in the way your usual brightness had softened into something more intimate. He didn’t often speak about his feelings, but in this moment, he felt compelled to let you know the truth.
"You are not a burden," he said quietly. "I care for you. More than I realized."
Your eyes widened in surprise, and for the first time, you seemed at a loss for words. But then, slowly, your smile returned—this time, softer, warmer.
"I care about you too, Hanzo," you said, and though your voice was quiet, the sincerity in it was undeniable.
In that moment, Hanzo realized that the storm you had brought into his life wasn’t something to fear. It was something to cherish.

Hi there! May I request Cassidy with an s/o who can easily fluster him? Thank you in advance if you do this!
“You love it.”
Cassidy x Reader
W/C: 850+
A/N: YESS, I love Cassidy requests, sadly this is the last one I have (feel free to send more 👀) I’ve been obsessed with Overwatch recently especially Cassidy and Hanzo. One last funny little thing that I wanna share. So basically the way I write his accent is a just quietly talk to myself while I’m writing because I have a southern accent myself. Just thought it was a lil funny thing to share.
Also this isn’t proof read AT ALL. I wrote this in a couple periods of school.
Cole loves complimenting and flirting with you as often as he gets the chance to.
But as soon as you throw a compliment back at him he is a flustered mess.
Typically he's just fine taking a compliment from someone like another agent in Overwatch but when it's from you?
God help him.
Whenever he’s flustered he’ll pull his hat from his head to cover his face and take a moment to collect himself before even thinking about replying to you
It’s literally adorable.
Claims to hate it
He loves it.
He’ll glance over them and claim that your words don’t affect him
They most definitely do.
It was around midnight and Cassidy still hadn’t managed to find his way into bed. He had returned from a mission earlier and had meant to go home hours ago to change, shower, or even just to see you. God, he always missed you. Instead, he sat on a part of the counter in the base's kitchen, lights out, eating some cookies that Brigitte had made for all of Overwatch to enjoy and enjoy he did.
They were amazing, perfectly cooked but still a nice chewable, gooey texture to them with the perfect amount of chocolate chips and hit the spot at this time of night. If he was being completely honest though, he hadn’t realised how late it was getting to be. If he had he would’ve scurried his way home by now.
Though, the silence in the Overwatch kitchen at night was a weirdly comforting thing. The curtains were open just enough to bring in the perfect amount of moonlight to illuminate everything so that you weren’t tripping over stuff in the dark.
After a couple more cookies Cole had finally decided to pull out his phone and check the time which had read to be almost 1:00 AM. Determining that it was already far too late for him to be awake he decided on one last cookie before he would finally make his way to your shared bed for the night.
He pulled his last cookie out of the jar before taking a bite out of it as he realised your figure stood in the doorway, “Hey sweet pea, what’re you doin’ up at this hour?”
You left the doorway making your way closer to Cole. He noted that you were in pyjamas meaning that you had already been in bed as your voice came out in a groggy tone, “Someone had mentioned that you were back from your mission earlier today, I hadn’t seen you so I came looking for you. Missed your handsome face.”
He internally thanked that he had left the lights off when he came in here earlier, had he not the only thing to hide how embarrassingly red his face was currently would’ve been his hat. The hat which he wasn’t wearing currently.
There was an outline of a smile that came across your face, you weren’t able to fully see his reaction but you knew the effect that your words had on him. He was always the one who flirted with other people, never the other way around so when you threw his words right back at him the reaction was nothing but the best. He took a second to gather himself before he even thought about replying to you.
“Sorry, I hadn’t been lookin’ at the time. I meant to come n’ see you earlier. I kinda got caught up with Brigitte’s cookies, these things are amazing,” He praised the cookies while taking a bite out of the one he had grabbed before he noticed you were in the room.
You shook your head in agreement, hopping up on the counter next to him, laying your head onto his shoulder, “You thinking about heading to bed anytime soon?”
“Just ‘bout to after I finished this last cookie,” you let out a small hum of acknowledgement to his words looking up at his face, “Somethin’ on your pretty little mind sugar?”
You shook your head, “Nothing just you, all the time.”
All he could do was sigh with a smile on his face, the blush of his face much more visible with the closeness of the two of you, “Can’t be just sayin’ stuff that.”
“Yes I can, and you love it.”

Rubble (Genji x Reader)
Hey guys! This is my first ever oneshot on Tumblr so I'm nervous and excited lol. I'm used to Wattpad and Ao3(for people who know I actually started on Wit LOL) so I apologize if the formatting is a bit weird/off. I hope you enjoy! (Also I wrote this a long time ago before McCree's name was changed) This was first uploaded on my Ao3, so if you enjoy consider checking me out here
As the aircraft was slowly making its approach to the ground, you grew more and more nervous. Biting your fingernails, you glanced around at the heroes who you happened to befriend. There was Zenyatta, you and him didn't talk much but he seemed very calm and collected in battle. Then Mercy, or Angela as she was most commonly called, was always a wonderful person to talk to however whenever she was treating a patient you knew to never disturb her. Next there was McCree, he had a much more "rough n' tough" exterior but whenever you guys were off duty he was a bit of a charmer, though you never fell for it. Orisa followed you around a lot, mostly because she was programmed to protect others but she also genuinely enjoyed your company, or at least, you thought it was genuine. It's hard to tell with robots.
Now there was Sigma, a bit of a newer addition to the crew but he was a strong fighter and an interesting person to be around. Despite his seemingly split personalities, you two have managed to have very pleasant conversations when everyone else is asleep. Finally..Genji. Genji was the hero everyone strived to be, or that's how you saw him. He was fun and goofy whenever you guys were off the job yet calculated and passionate when in the midst of a fight, but one trait persisted on and off the battlefield: his flirty-ness. McCree was a charmer, more "old fashioned" in his wits but Genji was a lot more audacious and up-front in his advances. Unfortunately, time doesn't stop for your daydreams so by the time you got to thinking about Genji the aircraft came to a particularly rough landing, jostling you around where you so happen to fall onto none other than: the cyborg ninja himself. It took you a second to fully realize what happened, as you were so busy in thought you disconnected from the outside world. That was, until you heard Genji's robotic yet endearing voice emit from behind the mask.
"Y/N, I know you're falling for me but you don't have to be so literal about it~" He teased, holding you up so you wouldn't hit the floor. Your face went hot, you still haven't quite gotten used to his banter yet. You quickly stood up properly, removing your arms from his hands. He chuckled spotting your reaction, he had a habit of doing that. "Relax Y/N, you know I'm just teasing."
That was true, but you still couldn't help but wonder..'No, now is not the time Y/N, you're about to go into battle for f×cks sake.' You put on a smile, shaking your head lightly in a playful manner. "Really Genji? Do you ever stop?"
"No Y/N, no he does not." The cowboy spoke up, chuckling lightly as he flicked his cigar, sending light sparks on the floor. "He won't stop talking 'bout ya eithe-"
"Jesse! What did I tell you about the smoking?!" Angela spoke up, quite literally a guardian angel in this moment as she distracted McCree from spilling all of Genji's secrets. The two went on to bicker, however the aircraft broke out in silence when the doors started to open slowly. You took a deep breath, knowing that this could possibly be your last mission. Though this was the case with every mission. Hanamura…Where Genji grew up. It was truly beautiful. Y'know..despite the smoke and fire from a battle that seemingly had already begun. After another deep breath, you and your team jumped off the aircraft. As you jumped, you looked over and made eye contact with Genji. He seemed to smile, giving you a thumbs up for good luck.
You were grateful your team was victorious. You were terrified of what could go wrong, of the people they could harm. Luckily, everybody was safe. Well, everybody but you. Currently, you were buried underneath the rubble, a wound on your head and you were 90% sure you broke your foot or perhaps your whole leg. You had tried calling out for your teammates, but the oxygen was getting thin. You weren't even panicking, because you knew your team had won the battle. That's all that mattered. That everyone else was safe. You closed your eyes, blood dripping down from the wound in your head. You let out a sigh, and everything stopped. Things went black, you felt numb. You were sure this was it. Until you heard a voice that was all too familiar.
"Y/N!!" The cyborg ran towards you in full distress. Fighting the calming blackness that over took you, you opened your eyes.
After coughing, you called out. "Genji…I-I'm here.." It was soft, and you weren't even sure if he could hear you. Hearing how panicked Genji was, was enough reason for you to keep fighting. He ran over to you, his enhanced robot hearing helping him greatly.
"Y/N!" He called out once more. "Y/N I'm here." He kept muttering random words, thanking the heavens you were alive, saying how stupid you were to go on your own, and then scolding himself because he was just so happy you were still here. He did all that as he moved the rubble off of you with ease. Genji relaxed greatly when he finally saw your face. Gently, he picked you up. You shuddered a bit against the cold metallic suit but quickly relaxed, your strength being all gone. "You're safe, Y/N. I promise, nothing bad will happen to you again." You nodded your head gently before closing your eyes once more, grateful for your savior.
When you finally awoke, the hiss of metal disconnecting was the first thing you heard. You stirred a little as you slowly gained back all your senses. You were laying on some kind of bed, and you were holding someone's hand. You could immediately tell who's it was though, the metallic fingers gently caressing your knuckles. You couldn't help the smile that etched on your face. You also felt some tubes run through your arm. 'Must be an IV..' Regarding your leg, it already had a cast on it and was elevated. Angela must have cared for you. After a moment, slowly, you opened your eyes while turning to look at Genji. You were a bit surprised though, when you saw he had taken his mask off. His face was scar ridden, but that never made him less attractive to you. Really you only saw him like this when he was injured, or sleeping. He was looking down, tears in his eyes. You tried reaching your other hand out to cup his face but he was a bit too far away. "Genji..C'mere.." You said softly. He immediately shot up, looking at you. The tears finally fell and he squeezed your hand.
"Y/N!! You're okay!" He smiled, tears still coming down. He leaned forward, planting a gentle kiss to your hand that he was holding. The action made you flush, yet you continued to look at the ninja in front of you. You gently cupped his face in your other hand. You couldn't tell if it was because you were weak or if you had just grown more confident, but you weren't as shy as normal. "Y/N, I am so so so sorry for letting anything bad happen to you. I promise I'll protect you now, with all my being." You smiled sadly, you didn't like the fact that Genji blamed himself and yet you were grateful for his future protection.
"Genji, none of this is your fault. I wandered off on my own, it's alright. I'm safe now with you." You rubbed your thumb softly against his rough cheek. He kissed the side of your hand that was cupping his face, and yet again you flushed. He's never done anything like that; he's never kissed any part of you before. So, a part of you couldn't help but wonder why he did it. Was it just from a place of protectiveness? Or did he truly have feelings for you? "What's important is that everyone else is safe, we saved the city." You spoke up after a moment.
The cyborg merely chuckled weakly, giving your hand yet another kiss. "Y/N, I would let a thousand cities burn to the ground as long as you were safe." He smiled softly, looking at your flustered face. "Sure it's great that we saved everyone…But if you weren't okay, I couldn't live with myself." He explained, but it seemed like he was holding himself back from…what? His cold knuckles rubbed against yours, giving you butterflies.
You smiled as well, and squeezed Genji's hand softly. "Hey..Don't worry about that." You coughed, your torso raising from the bed with the movement. The cyborg's face immediately filled with worry. "I'm safe, you're safe..the people are safe." You reassured him, laying back against the slightly elevated hospital bed.
"Yes but-" He started, but then sooner than he had started, gave up. He shook his head, and with his free hand grabbed the missing part to his helmet. "Get some rest, Y/N. I'll be back, I have some paperwork Jack needs me to fill."
I roll my eyes at the mention, but understand regardless. "Go ahead, I know how strict he can be." You gave a weak chuckle and the ninja before you slowly let go of your hand, as if it pained him to do so. You closed your eyes, falling asleep to the soft hiss of Genji's metallic helmet connecting.
After an hour or so, you woke up to the sound of the door opening. "Genji? Is that you?" You called out quietly, head still feeling groggy from your nap. You heard a feminine laugh, and immediately recognized it as Angela's. You slowly opened your eyes and watched as she put her rubber gloves on.
"Sorry to disappoint, but no, it's not Genji. Just your resident doctor." She smiled, walking over the to monitor you were connected to, looking it over.
You blushed lightly and shook your head. "I didn't mean to look disappointed, he just…said he'll be back." You said, feeling a bit stupid for expecting him to be back this soon. "He's probably busy still.." You mumbled, trying to make yourself feel better.
Angela looked down on you and checked your head wound, smiling softly. "Don't worry Y/N, he'll be back. Jack is..upset that he ran off to find you." You tilted your head a bit. "No- No don't do that please, I need to make sure your wound isn't infected." You moved your head back, but still had many questions.
"I don't understand, why would Jack be upset at that? Doesn't he always want to save as many people as possible?" You asked, confused. You saw Angela take a deep breath out of the corner of your eye before she seemingly made up her mind.
"When we couldn't find you, we all assumed you were dead. We were given direct orders to report straight back, as there was word that there was an emergency somewhere else. Luckily some other agents were free so they got there in time, but Genji insisted on staying and looking for you. We were all heartbroken, really, but Genji…He really didn't seem like he'd live without you." She confessed, turning back to her counter with medical supplies. "Young love, right?" She joked, trying to lighten the mood.
You were stunned, and didn't say a word. 'Young love?' You thought. 'Does he..really care about me like that?' You asked yourself, thinking it was way too good to be true. But how could you ignore the obvious signs any longer? As you were overthinking your crush on the cyborg, Angela had some good news.
"You should be able to leave tomorrow. Of course you won't be able to walk, and you can't go on any missions with us, but you won't be confined to this 'hospital' for long." She smiled. "Genji has already volunteered to be your personal nurse, seems to think he can do a better job than me, but I'm sure you'll be fine on your own. We all know you're a fighter, Y/N."
You thanked her and appreciated the compliments, but you were obviously preoccupied. By mere coincidence, someone knocked on the door about five minutes after Angela knocked. "Come in!" You called, flicking through the channels of the T.V in the room. Genji emerged from the door, holding a small bouquet of flowers. You smiled seeing him, along with the nice gift. "Aww Genji, you didn't have to." You said.
His robotic chuckle emerged from the mask, and he closed the door behind him. "I've wanted to give them to you for a while, actually. So yes, it was very necessary." You couldn't see him, but from his tone of voice you can tell that he smiled. He sat back down on the chair next to your bed, putting the flowers on a nearby table. You two sat in silence for a bit before you spoke up.
"Genji..You've been really sweet to me today. First with saving me-" You started.
"Technically that was yesterday." He chimed in.
You rolled your eyes with a smile. "Oh hush, you know what I mean. What I'm trying to say- Or ask, rather is…Do you..have feelings for me? Maybe I'm reading this all wrong but you kept kissing my hands and got me flowers and-" You started going on a nervous ramble, hoping that something made sense and if you were wrong Genji didn't hate you. You were so nervous, in fact, that you didn't hear his helmet disconnect. In a moment's notice, Genji was mere inches from your face.
He smiled, and nodded his head. One of his hands grabbed your own, while the other tucked your hair behind your ear. "Of course I do, Y/N. How could I not? I really do care for you, and want to have a relationship with you." He kissed your forehead softly. "I'm sorry I waited this long to tell you, I just didn't want to ruin things. I thought maybe you had someone else.."
At that you chuckled, and shook your head. "No, Genji, nobody else. Nobody else but you." You leaned your face closer to the other, neither of you connecting your lips yet.
"May I kiss you?" Genji asked, voice a whisper as if he's scared that he'll ruin the mood.
"Of course you may." You answered, and just melted feeling Genji's lips on yours. There were a few scars around his mouth, but you knew that and it felt surprisingly nice. It was like a perfect moment, one that the two of you were dreaming about forever. After a moment you pulled away, wrapping your arms around Genji. "I love you, so much Genji." You admitted with the biggest smile on your face.
"I love you too, Y/N." He said, with an equally big smile on his face.

~~pumpkin carving with Cassidy~~
cole cassidy x gn reader (no use of pronouns!)(short one shot)
—————
It’s around that time of year again. The air is cool and there’s always a slight chill. You find yourself out shopping with Cass when you see a bin, peaking inside you notice that pumpkins are already out. “Have you carved pumpkins before?” You ask him, curious. “Sure have, can’t say I’ve done it anytime recent though.” He answers, shaking his head. Isn’t that what couples do? Maybe it’ll be a fun bonding experience, you think to yourself. “Let’s do them then! It’ll be fun, pleaassseeeee?” You drag out your words, hoping to will him into it. “Anything for you.” He laughs, giving in immediately.
You two take the pumpkins onto the table when you’ve arrived home. “I haven’t done one in forever either…” You admit, unsure what you should carve. “Let’s get to it, these pumpkins aren’t gunna carve themselves.” He winks, he looks so ridiculous that you roll your eyes, smiling. “What?” He asks, a smile on his lips. “I’m going to have the better pumpkin.” You declare, challenging. Cassidy has never been one to back away from a challenge. “It’s on.” He says, voice confident as he goes to find the pumpkin carving kits.
He hands one to you and you immediately get to work, taking the top off the pumpkin so you can get the guts out. It makes you cringe, feeling the slimy seeds. You look over and see Cassidy already half way done with getting out the middle. “Huh? How are you so fast?” You exclaim, looking up at him. There’s no way he could have gotten that far already. “You’re just slow.” He taunts. “Yeah?” You respond, mind elsewhere. You pick up another batch of seeds and throw them at him. He stiffens immediately. “What the hell?” He exclaims, surprised. That’s probably the last thing he was expecting.
He grabs a pile of the seeds on the table. “NOOO” You squeal, running off. “IM SORRY!” You run into the living room. He chuckles, slowly walking up to where you’re at. “You’re sorry?” He says, voice low. “Mhm i’m sorry.” You hum, trying to talk him out of doing it back. “That’s too bad.” He says, throwing the seeds back at you. You grimace. The feeling of the seeds on your body was way worse than just on your hands. “Cole.” You warn. “You started it hun, not me.” He reminds, putting his hands up in fake surrender.
“I’m getting a shower before we finish carving, I feel so… slimy” You grimace again. “We can finish the pumpkins later, I call shower first” He starts, talking slow, before taking off towards the bathroom, locking the door behind him. “WAIT-”
my first one shot! hope u enjoy :p

No Need To Fear {Moira & Mercy, Angst}
After an Attack on an Overwatch and Blackwatch Meeting, Moira and Angela are trapped in the rubble. A lone window on the ceiling their only escape, Angela the only one able to reach it. Yet, as Fate wished it, Angela is badly injured and in need of medical attention, Moira the only one that could heal her. But does she trust the sadistic scientist to keep her promise?
Angela Ziegler knew better than to trust Moira O'Deorain. She knew better, she should have known better. For years, she had despised her methods, had resisted a collaboration between the two, had decidedly pushed everything away Moira had offered.
Moira just wanted to advance her research, she wanted to surpass death, but she was ruthless. Angela knew that very well. Blackwatch was a disgrace in her mind. Out of hand, uncontrollable and wild. Blackwatch was evil, more so because of the fellow scientist hired.
Angela always met Moira with disdain, dismissive and absolute. Judging her Methods and morals, yet Moira remained unbothered. Calm. Objective set on discovering her revival technology. No, she had long ago made up her mind. Never would she put her trust in Moira, never would she work together with her and never would she believe her words.
Moira had escaped the attack unscathed, Mercy — Angela — had not. Angela was in her Mercy Uniform, the Wings in her back, fitting to her name, bleeding profusely. A part of the protective armour was shattered, flesh exposed underneath and Moira could already tell what a disaster it was, shrapnel and dirt in her open wound, if she was lucky, she could get it out. If only Angela would let her.
Angela's mind was fuzzy, edges blurring and her thoughts mixing into a muddy soup. But she stood strong, slapping away Moira's hands, whenever she caught the slender, bony limbs reach and touch. “My staff”
Moira had already looked for the staff, partially because she wanted to look at it, understand it, but mainly because a great mind like Angela's shouldn't be lost because of stubbornness. She had pulled it out of rubble, and while she was unsure about how it worked, it was broken in multiple pieces. It somehow looked alive inside, and if it was, it wasn't anymore. It had burned and soot was covering the shiny metal.
Angela knew she couldn't fix her staff in time. They were trapped anyway, and Moira needed her if she wanted to escape — there was a window above them, but it was too high for the Irish Woman to reach, even with using the rubble as a vantage point. The highest she got was her long fingernails barely scraping along the glass. Moira had no choice. She was the one who had it. If she would let Moira help her, surely she wouldn't do anything stupid?
Moira had tried breaking the window and failed. The explosion had caged them in, it was a miracle the godforsaken window stood strong, albeit a terribly timed miracle. She clicked her tongue as she walked quickly over to Angela, her shoes clicking against the floor, as she knelt down. “Let me help you, Angela. I promise I won't do anything, all you have to do is trust me.”
Angela had trusted Moira once. Back when they were still in med school, she had trusted her and Moira had coldly used it against her. Angela knew Moira, she knew her nature, she knew Moira wouldn't be able to resist another betrayal of trust, it's what she did to everyone, she didn't care. But Angela cared. At least she would have, her mind was too unfocused, too messy. She couldn't grasp a single thought, and as Moira's hands grasped at the Armour, she couldn't lift herself to stop her, her hands not raising as she tried. She was so weak, so tired.
Moira smiled, as she tugged the armour off, Angela pale and sweaty, as she looked at the wound, taking out the shrapnel with her medical equipment she carried with. Angela flinched and yelped at the pain, but Moira was undeterred. She lifted Angela's undershirt, securing it with a loose knot so it wouldn't fall over the wound steadily leaking blood. Threatening words left Angela's mouth, but the vigor behind it was missing, so Moira continued.
Angela was helpless. She watches as if dazed, as Moira took out a bottle of disinfectant, but instead of doing it properly, she poured it into the wound, a wicked smile on her features. Angela couldn't help but scream, it hurt so bad. Suddenly filled with adrenaline and pain, she pushed Moira from her slumped body, as she turned, trying to crawl along the wall. She wouldn't get far, she couldn't, with them being trapped, but she sure would try.
Moira wasn't pleased. It wasn't the first time her patients went running. Sometimes she let them, only to chase them afterwards - sometimes, it was just thrilling fun, but not this time. Scoffing, Moira reached for Angela's shoulders, roughly spinning her around before pointedly seating herself on her hips, pinning her down. Angela yelled, thrashed. The wound leaked more blood and Moira got angry. She didn't want Angela to die of blood loss, that wouldn't do. Extending her right arm, she aimed at the other Overwatch employee, also injured but already unconscious, extracting his life force, before showering Angela in the soft, warm, sharply stinging healing spray.
Angela was surprised at first, she was scared, afraid of Moira but Moira had actually helped her. She retracted her hands from trying to punch and push Moira, as Moira reached out. Her expression was neutral, as she softly grabbed her hands, and then, in less than a second, Angela was helpless again. Her hands were pinned over her head with Moira's right hand as she could only watch how Moira pulled a syringe out of her med kit, the contents purple like her biotic grasp, before she injected it right where her old wound was.
Moira watched as Angela lay there, helpless and restrained, only able to wait for the effects of whatever Moira had just injected her to kick in. Moira, of course, knew what she had injected her fellow scientist with. Soon, Angela would feel nauseous, she'd fall unconscious before the chemical could actually fulfill it's true purpose — making her a slave to Moira, just like she had chained Reyes, Amélie and Siebren.
If Angela was a merciful Angel, Moira was a ruthless Demon, but Moira wouldn't want it any other way, after all, how else could she achieve her goals? Angela Ziegler's technology in her hands… Well, technically, Angela Ziegler herself. There was no one who could stop her now. Moira looked towards the window at the top. Maybe she would die before Angela would succumb to her pain and help Moira. But she could rest easy, knowing how close she came.
