UPDATE 1.0

Besuch aus der Heimat Teil 1

Am letzten Tag im September hat sich mein erster Besuch aus Deutschland angekündigt! Vielen Dank an Euch, es war wyld!

Ein wenig durch die Stadt zu schlendern, in der man sich so langsam am sicher immer mehr auskennt, hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Es fehlen ab und zu noch ein paar geschichtliche Fakten, aber auch die werden noch dazukommen.

Wir haben auch ein paar neue Orte entdeckt. Riga hat einen coolen Stadtpark im Norden – Mežaparks. Der Park liegt ein einem See und ist vor allem im Sommer eine Outdoorlocation für Konzerte. Auch für einen Sonntagsspaziergang eignet dieser sich sehr gut.

Abends sind wir in die Oper gegangen – Don Giovanni von Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Die Nationaloper in Riga ist sehr schick und traditionell. Es hat Spaß gemacht, das Stück zu verfolgen, auch wenn man durch den italienischen Gesang, trotz Übersetzung, nicht alles verstanden hat.

P.S. Falls ihr euch das schon gefragt habt, aber man kann in Riga auch richtig gut ausgehen - Bierchen trinken (vielleicht auch mal ein Schnäpschen), in die Karaoke-Bar oder was sonst noch so los ist!
