💡 What inspires you to write the muse?
Bunny Talks about a Baboon!
Is it a weird answer to say that the fact that the celestial baboon is unknown and seems to go by relatively unnoticed/unacknowledged by 98% of Journey to the West media inspires me? Because like, even from those who study into the four primates' inspirations, where the red horse monkey comes from specifically is not really known. But I guess that's what makes a good myth, right?
Either way the fact that the red butt baboon/mandrill is a near completely mysterious creature even to the supernatural entities in jttw is just good grounds for springing a multitude of creative ideas. Like the untapped writing potential is VAST, and I am surprised that more people haven't put their own spins into either primate yet. Though that may change, if lmk uses them as a plot point in the future.

It's a sunday so: Duke's either naked or in his underwear whenever he's having a day in, and he'll cuss you out if you ask him to put some pants on. He's only going to warn you once if you decide to drop by and he's not putting anything on even to answer the door.
