Fun Fact: The first the fandom heard of the term 'Osmosian' was in McDuffie's Q&A thread on his forum. Someone asked for Kevin's favorite music genre and got the response 'Osmosian Rock', which of course got all our attention and lead to asking if an 'Osmosian' is what Kevin was, which was then confirmed to be the case.

A lot of us there promptly lost our shit a little bit- excepting me, who lost their shit a lot and never stopped.

What's your favourite ben centered ship? Also why and some headcanons to do with it please

I love so many Ben ships, it's impossible for me to choose just one. But I think right now my favorite is probably Ben/Gwen/Kevin.

I have such a soft spot for poly ships, mostly because so many fans don't seem to even consider them a possibility!

So far it's mostly just me making Bwevin content, but I'm hoping to sway some fellow fans into enjoying them eventually, hehe :)

As for why? I guess because I already like Bwen, Bevin, and Gwevin separately — it just makes sense to put them together! All three of them are pretty much attached at the hip in canon, anyway.

Here's some headcanons for the three of them that are canon to my Three's Company AU:

Ben and Gwen start dating when they're 12, a year after Ben takes off the Omnitrix.

Their parents have absolutely no idea. Gwen's parents would separate her from Ben. Ben's parents do eventually find out, but they're already letting him risk his life as a hero, so they can't exactly draw the line at who he's kissing. They don't like it, but Carl and Sandra choose to be happy that Ben is happy and not think about it.

Kevin and Gwen have the public relationship. As far as their friends, family, and press are concerned, Ben isn't involved at all.

He fake-dates Julie for a while once he becomes famous after a scare with the paparazzi hanging outside of his bedroom window. He refuses to let anyone know that he's dating his cousin.

Despite Ben's best efforts, Julie figures it out. She doesn't tell anyone, but she also can't be friends with Ben now that she knows the truth, so they stop talking.

It takes Ben a while to be comfortable with telling Rook the truth. Incest isn't uncommon on Revonnah (it's taboo in upper class society, actually, because it's seen as a sign that you couldn't find a more suitable match for your child and had to resort to family), so Rook doesn't really care.

Rook doesn't like watching Ben do couple stuff with Gwen and Kevin. (He's not disgusted, though. It's jealousy.)

Rook does eventually end up dating Ben, too. Gwen and Kevin don't mind sharing.

Ship is shared between Ben, Gwen, and Kevin. Kevin likes him the most, because Ship is really useful for repairs and upgrades. Ship and Zed eventually become best friends :)

After Gwen and Kevin leave Bellwood, they set up a schedule to video call with Ben at least once a week, and they have a group date night once a month.

Ben, Gwen, and Kevin do eventually "get married." It's not a legally binding ceremony, but they still consider themselves married 💕

Charmcaster knows about Ben and Gwen dating, since she spends so much time spying on Gwen. She doesn't really care — she uses it as blackmail.

Will Harangue starts a fake story about Ben dating his cousin to make him look bad. Frank sues him for defamation and Will is legally not allowed to talk about Ben or Gwen after that.

None of the three of them have biological children with each other. Ben and Gwen would feel too guilty if they brought a child into the world, and Gwen and Kevin are not compatible due to being Anodite and Osmosian.

All three of them are, generally speaking, much happier and more comfortable people than they are in canon. Gwen in particular is FAR less stressed.

Gwen is absolutely the jealous type, haha! She almost got into a fist fight with one of Ben's super fans who wouldn't stop touching him, and Kevin had to hold her back.

Ben is the least jealousy prone of the three of them and, ironically, the most needy.

Gwen wears her hair tied up in a high ponytail with a green scrunchie. Her favorite color is green. (Yes, this is important.)

Gwen 10 au Sunny.

In this au Sunny is Osmosian like Ben and trades places with Lucy. She plays a bigger roll as a member of team 10, being their third until taking her own path after Ben joins team 10.

So in the re-write, asides from Aggregor, does Kevin get to interact with any other Osmosians? I’d find it hard to imagine that Kevin would never encounter one during his time in space or even the relatively brief time in the Null Void.

I do plan to have some moments where the gang meet other osmosians, including them visiting the homeworld during the Aggregor arc to try and find information on him. I know in a different note I mentioned it's more common to find osmosian hybrids like Kevin than pure breeds.

Theories about Professor Paradox

I know it's more likely due to UAF using similar facial models for the characters like Ben, Gwen and Natalie, but Paradox does look a lot like Devin, Kevin, Devlin and Aggregor. Strangely enough, Phil also looked like Kevin and Devin in his youth. I have seen the theory that Phil was Kevin's real father.

Paradox being related to Kevin may explain some things. It may explain why the celestialsapians forbid him from coming near them. Aggregor nearly absorbed one of their babies and Kevin considered doing it as well. If Paradox is an Osmosian too (if you prefer them being aliens) it would explain why they don't like him. He also acts a bit like a father to Kevin, fixing his car in his debut episode and warning him about mutating again. He seems too old to be Kevin's father but he could be his great grandfather.

My other theory on Paradox is a bit sadder. Paradox was a scientist working for the US government during the cold war. The characters ethnic or religious backgrounds are never specified but Levin is a Jewish name. Going with the idea of Paradox being related to Kevin, my theory is that Paradox, like Einstein and many other Jewish scientists, escaped Nazi Germany in the 1930s and was offered a professorship in the US. After the war, the government recruited him to work on creating a time portal leading him to where he was in his debut episode. Paradox would, in a way, get his dues by helping Ben and co save the universe from the highbreed attempting a similar genocide. His disgust towards guns, shown when he takes Rozum's pistol, may come from having escaped war, fought in a war and possibly knowing scientists who built nuclear weapons that killed hundreds such as the bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

A bit ago @floralflowerpower and I were chatting about the omnitrix and at some point recently I realized that Osmosians are a lot like the omnitrix. They can scan genetic code with a touch like the prototype originally did in classic and Alien force, and they then rewrite their own genes to match. They can absorb energy and either transform the air or just their whole outer body and clothes into any material they can get enough of to touch.

I wonder if Azmuth based the trix on Osmosians?

Honestly, between Joel taking after his parents on being a Plumber, and the fact Cooper's grandpa filled him in before the Tennysons picked him up, and Max's keeping massive important secrets even in OS? I'm not sure how much of the 'keeping the Plumbers secret even from your household' is a Plumber thing and how much is a Max thing.

Honestly that'd be funny as hell to me, if the reason Frank and Carl know about the Plumbers is because Verdona went "yeah this is what your dad does, he's trying to be all super secret about it for some reason, acknowledge it at your own discretion".

Personally? 100% few alien immigrants were legal citizens back then and probably are only starting to change that in OV. Whether Verdona was, presumably would depend on if the Plumbers were willing to help a coworker out with his wife's paperwork.

Definitely Natalie's feelings towards the family and Verdona specifically come from a range of locations. I can totally see her initially getting close to Frank because he's not a snob, while he initially gets closer to her because she's dependable. Then between coming from her own family, and the Tennysons being the Tennysons, and everything regarding Verdona from Frank's stories to shit like her having shown up long enough to meet the kids, determine they didn't have the Spark, and then vanish off again for the next half of forever, she came to some Opinions about the family and her mother-in-law. While unfortunately not unlearning enough to be less herself regarding Gwen's powers.

Alas, poor Gwen, she deserves better.

That is the sort of thing that makes for good drama (that the showrunners could have worked off of if they'd fucking bothered with Gwendolyn-). Like, we already get a bit from What Little Girls are Made Of with Gwen noting that she's never felt like she really belonged, and also leaning a little more into that with her Anodite heritage would have left her in an interesting 'between two rocks' situation. Especially when you take her mom and Verdona into account- one of whom loves her in spite of her powers and openly takes issue with them, the other of which loves her but also didn't seem to want anything to do with her until her powers came in. There's a perfect opportunity there to give Gwen some focus, presumably on finding a path that works for her when she doesn't fit into either one expected of her, as well as figuring out a healthy balance with her family.

And on the end of your Anodite thoughts- all logical, all interesting concepts. Personally, I go with Anodites reproducing in some sort of way, given Sunny exists so Verdona has to have at least one other kid who may or may not be related to Max, and may or may not also be a hybrid of some form, so at least this way we're hedging out bets. Meanwhile the matters of emotions and such are just, fascinating concepts. I haven't delved a lot into Anodites so far as headcanons and worldbuilding (I've got a few things, but not much) but I've barely, if even, looked in the direction of that stuff.

...Yk the more i think about anodites the more i believe verdona must have the furthest thing from being comfortable as a (most likely) stay at home mom. yeah the alien energy being who's meant to be a wild spirit roaming through the galaxy stays at home with the kids cause her human partner is too busy being in space. that's cool. that's fine. absolutely nothing ironic about that.
