Some test renders of the northern Kotie 3D model (previous post of all the detailed anatomy I made for this model)

He got some thick fur and so he won't freeze in winter ~

I tried to make the fur on his face as detailed as possible so that the close-up renders would look good, and so I enjoy the result! I work with particle system (post about how I make fur), so this required some more detailed customization. I also used UDIM UV-map for the first time, which allowed me to give more resolution to facial details, as the face now uses its own textures.

The character is random, I just wanted to make the one without complex features and hairstyle, but the whole northern shape and body type was based on my character Vewis c:

Wonder what would happen if Big But met Small sparkle bug? Uhhhh... Food maybe. Did I need to make ShMilk's lashes that Sharp and thick? Have you met me? Thats kinda my default. Besides, @shmilker-wilker gives them hella long lashes.

more hae livestock :)

y'kul are the largest terrestrial livestock on the hae planet. they're sort of bison/boar things and are largely raised by nomadic haep'il. their meat is not eaten as widely as any single fish, or smaller species of livestock, so they have a limited number of dedicated farms.

y'kul-kivta (aka heart of y'kul) is a fruit named after these animals due to their role in the spread of the plant, as well as the fruit flesh having the texture of soft meat and juice with the consistency of blood. it tastes like sweet grapefruit :)

Cesh & Tu Shi's skin color could change in the near future

Because I am currently designing the biome they live in, and I want it to look fantastical but not too much I will probably change color of the flora, and since it's a umid place I will go for more blue hues but still keep a little bit of green and brown

After I finish the first draft, I will change the plumoe's color according to the biome for mimetic reasons since they will be pretty fucked otherwise, their thick skin can help this much

Anatomy Class fellas

I had a creative boom about a week ago, and I did so many drawings that you guys have no idea

It felt like my brain just locked in for no reason

Anyway Here is the result +Cesh(the red one) and Tu Shi(the blue one)

I tried a new coloring style for a change, and I kind of hated it honestly but HEY

experimentation

I wanted to explore my fictional species more, like finally deciding on some things and designing others...

For the definitive things that will not change, may god strike me down They are:

Plumoe have blue blood, which is denser than a normal homin's

They have square "jelly" hair, not really jelly but you get me

They are thick-skinned and they rarely are slim (they are based on gastropods after all)

For the organs, they will change in shape but not function, because this is my first time drawing them and I didn't want to go too far from normal

BUT

I plan to give them a more fantasy look in the future, even for normal homins

(homins are humans btw)

I was curious how the wings I made would look on SM's canon design and it looks pretty damn good. Not as simple, but still good. Means my design relates to them still.

Sri Lankan Blue Day Moth as a reference. Kinda just inverted the colors and added an extra color from the canon design.

also redesigned the staff. Made it pokey.
