Meet Hawthorne! They are a colony of magic vines inhabiting a human body. You may recognize them from a different drawing (warning for eye gore)

They're not a fan of their current situation, but can't do much about it, and it gets worse from there...

Meet Novak and Sammy! The body Hawthorne is trapped in and the witch who put him there, respectively. Novak is dead and doesn't remember much, to his frustration. Sammy bit off more than he could chew with some probably-forbidden magic, trapping both of their spirits in the body.

It's a constant battle for control between the three of them, but Hawthorne is proving to be the most powerful time and time again. No one is happy to be there, but they have to work together to solve a few puzzles:

- what the fuck happened to Novak? Also, who is Novak?

- where did Samson's body go? (It was here a second ago)

- how do you return vines to plant-level sentience? (I don't think that's been done before)

- is it still possible for Sammy to win his ex over when he's living in a possessed corpse?

- where'd the forbidden magic book come from anyway?

- is this all really just society's fault?

Stay tuned, I'm sure they'll figure out at least one of these!

random infos about Athena (OLNF MC) and Sunny (OLBA MC) (it's a bit scattered)

The reasons behind their name:

Sunny got his first name because of Sunny from OMORI (yup)

Athena got her last name because of Sunny's (OMORI) most popular fanon last name (which is Suzuki). And she got her first name because of Athena from Ace Attorney (the nickname "Thena" too)

in lore, Athena got her name because Opal thought "Athena" sounded cool lmao (and so did I)

About heights:

Athena is the tallest of the main OLNF trio (except in Step 1, where she's average height). She's even taller than Qiu (very important detail yup yup)

Sunny is preeeetty much average height during his whole life. he reached about 173cm (or 5'8) at 18 and never grew any taller after that

their likings/interests:

their favorite color is blue for both of them!

Athena really loves horror in Step 3 (and even after), specifically psychological and eldritch horror. however she's not a big fan of slasher movies

Sunny on the other hand doesn't care much about horror, he can handle it and even enjoy it sometimes but that's it

Athena's always been a fan of Professor Layton, no matter how old she is

she would love OMORI lmao

Sunny may read any kind of books, but his favorite genres are fantasy and adventure. he will read more fantasy/adventure books than any other genre

Honestly he would love Witch Hat Atelier (yes he reads mangas too)

other than horror, Athena surprisingly (pff. is it really) likes romance too

Sunny's favorite flower is white poppies. Athena's is myostis/forget-me-nots.

Athena's always uses rollers skates. like yeah she could and knows how to ride a bike but rollers are just better

Athena is a hopeless romantic (even if she vehemently denies it when she's 14 haha)

Sunny's not that much of a hopeless romantic, but he surprisingly can be romantic as hell out of nowhere and sometimes not even on purpose
