The Plan today was to do a 500-foot track with Kermit, then 150 and 50 foot tracks.

We did the 500-foot track. It was 70 feet, left turn, 30 feet, right turn, 100 feet, left turn, 100 feet, left turn, 70 feet, right turn, 30 feet, glove. Something like that. With a jackpot at the 420-foot mark. Mostly tall grass, though we had a puddle that he blasted through, and some grass/gravel tracks to navigate. Teeeeechnically TDX-level stuff, but I put down a bunch of hot dogs to help him and he navigated just fine. The jackpot gave him a chance to take a mental break so once he was done eating he was rarin' to go again. A fantastic track.

Ran Zaku on two short tracks. Hot dogs on the sock and that's it. He ignores them on the track so I didn't bother. First track was about 70 feet in a straight line. He's already learned that flags mean something so I only put the start flag down to force him to use his nose instead of his eyes. I'd withheld dinner and breakfast to increase enthusiasm. He did a great job. Blasted right down the line to the tupperware, and got to eat half his breakfast.

Second track was bout 70 feet-- 60 feet, right turn, 10 feet, tupperware. He was a lot more chaotic on this track. Zooming in circles, hurling himself in every direction. He yanked me real good and jacked up my back so I'm pissed at him. We did manage to focus long enough to navigate the turn beautifully and get the rest of his breakfast.

I was in pain and frustrated at this point so I called it a day instead of running Kermie's final two tracks in a negative mindset. I really loved how he ran his track so I didn't want to ruin that.

So anyway I'm buying a longer line and a bungee extension for Bub, and likely a back brace for me.

There is no way in hell we'll be ready for the February test, so we'll just focus on putting on mileage this year. Maybe get certified. We can get the TD next year.

There's only like 3 fics with them and I'm starving. They have the same situation where they lost a loved one that barely resembled the person they used to be by the time of their death, a corruption caused by something beyond their control, but also were involved in it. They both share grief and guilt, and could work on it together, Susie being more stoic and Taranza being way too open with his emotions, they balance eachother out. 🎮- What Kirby game or what point in the series timeline would your OC first appear?

Though Peony is a Floralian/Triple Deluxe sort of OC, she shows up quite a few years after TDX’s end, nearly four years later in fact so likely after Planet Robobot and Star Allies too (at least to me mentally and in my writing lol). She doesn’t “appear” in any games in my writing and doesn’t influence the stories within, however aspects of some of their stories have an impact on her, and not just TDX, as will become clear in my writing. She isn’t involved in any of the canon Kirby games’ stories, but echoes of their events will have an impact on her.

⭐️-If your OC got their own spinoff game what would it be about and what would the gameplay be like?

I think it would mainly be about her journey as a person that I intend on writing further as far as story goes so SPOILER but she does end up going to the Mirror Dimension and traversing it in order to learn more about herself and where she comes from and why she’s been alone all her life before meeting Taranza. It would be a platformer but I’m undecided on which kind, I could see something like the original Spyro trilogy working well with her character or even something more vast with adventure elements like Okami. She would also be a good contender for a gardening sim/lifestyle sim cozy game though I’m ngl, it would be fun to help her plant and grow stuff lol and decorate Castle Floralia’s gardens and stuff.

❤️-What is your OC’s love language? (Words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, receiving gifts, or acts of service)

Most important to Peony are quality time and physical touch. ESPECIALLY physical touch, and not just in a romantic way or with Taranza who she is courting, but with friends too. Peony is extremely touch-starved, she’s lived alone, only with plants for all her life before meeting Taranza and journeying to the kingdom. She doesn’t even realize how touch-starved she is, but she is very deeply so. Plants cannot hug you, or hold your hand, or embrace you when you need a cry. Her plant family love her dearly it’s true, but the older she gets she realizes how massive the communication and socialization differences are between herself and her plants. That close, physical connection with others is more important than she could ever know, and she realizes that very fast. And hugs and kisses and stuff are things she really loves to give and receive on a fun, not as sad note. She loves to give Ranzie a little kiss and squimsh him all close, she’s extremely affectionate. Here they are right here. She loves it.

Tbh not to diss Planet Robobot again but thinking about it, it lowkey has the least interesting plot in the modern era. There's PRETTY much no meat on it's bones going on except for Susie's backstory.

In RtDL there is obviously Magolor and Lor Starcutter, very fascinating things that continue to be relevant in the series.

In TDX we discover entirely new country in the sky and the whole deal with the Dreamstalk is interesting to analyze. Plus, the usage of the cast is excellent.

In SA plot is a mess but Void Termina alone sparks a lot of discussion to this day, for better or worse.

In Forgotten Land we once again have entirely new setting with fleshed out world buildjng, events in the post game that actually matter, everything related to Fecto Elfilis and Dedede. Hell, even Meta Knight gets pretty fleshed out subplot.

Robobot not only can't use any character well that is not Susie, doesn't really utilize it's "invaded planet" premise well at all. Which is unfortunate, because based on concept alone, it had potential to be THE best Kirby story.

i always thought the idea of consensual possession by dark matter would be really cool and it seems fitting for sddd. him having a cooperative and sometimes dominant relationship over the dark matter drones left over after K64 as a contrast to dedede's fear of them + his relationship with waddle dees

You can verify whether or not the virtual machine (VM) can be trusted by comparing its details with your own policy once the Google Cloud Attestation has verified the attestation quote. Only AMD SEV is currently supported by Google’s attestation service.

Confidential VM costs

In addition to the Compute Engine price, there are additional expenses for Confidential VM. The cost of a Confidential VM instance is determined by several factors, including the type of Confidential Computing technology (such as AMD SEV, Intel TDX, or AMD SEV-SNP) and whether the instance is preemptible or on demand. The fees are flat rate per vCPU and per GB for Confidential VM.

Do you have any idea of why dedede's mask looks like dark mind?

Like, King D-Mind's mask or the metal one? D-Mind's mask is definitely the same as Dark Mind's and has always led me to believe that Dark Mind has taken full possession of the king in that timeline.

...But hmm. I never necessarily thought that Masked Dedede's mask resembles Dark Mind before. However...you are right. There are some parallels there. The placement of the three horns in particular.

Now, Amazing Mirror came out first, and our favorite Shinya "sneaks lore into the most obscure places" Kumazaki did direct Super Star Ultra... Though this early in his career, it may have been just a nod rather than some super deep connection. (I say this only because Kirby was still in a weird place then, with the team not even knowing if it would continue past the tempestuous Wii project.)

Nowadays though, I would not be surprised to learn that Kumazaki is cooking up something with that potential connection. And it fascinates me! (It's TDX's 10 year anniversary in just a few days! Might we get new mirror lore this year? Or in the next game?)

I don't have anything yet myself, but while we're talking about Dark Mind, I wanted to share something I dug up watching a Japanese playthrough and wanted to share. Specifically in the ending...

In the English, the text reads:

And so, Dark Mind was defeated, and his dream of conquering the mirror world was shattered.

Nice pun. But the Japanese text states:

Dark Mind, who tried to control everything starting from the Mirror World, was defeated.

In the original, Dark Mind's ambitions are much greater than just the mirror world. He wants to rule everything. The mirror world is just where he's starting out from!! Another thing of note is that there is an extra bit of red text that's lost in english and this is on the word "control" (aka "conquer") This is the same control as "Under My Control" (Yes, yes, it's "Welcome Your New Overlord" now...)

In any case, this word comes up a LOT with regard to Kirby bosses and I think it's interesting it appears specifically in "key item" red text as far back as Kirby and the Amazing Mirror!

One more neat thing that feels connected...

When you fight possessed Dedede/Masked Deded's Revenge in TDX, his majesty has the mask. But how? Did Taranza call for it? Did Dedede? It's all a little unclear, but I think the fact that he's wearing it in a game that can blame its entire plot on the existence Dimension Mirror seems very purposeful! Don't you?

A dog must win at least two majors (by winning at two different shows under two different judges where there are enough entries defeated to equal 3-5 points by the AKC point system. It was told to me by a tech in the radiology department of OVC that they consider hips to either be bad, in which case they are rated on a scale from 0 – 4, with 4 being the worse, or they are “good” in which case the animal will receive a certification number (if 18 months or older. Therefore they do not follow the U.S. rating system which includes “FAIR”, Good, Excellent”. Their exact words were “the hips are either GOOD or they are NOT. OFA – Orthopedic Foundation for Animals OFA Hip Certifications – dogs within a specified range of normal hip x-rays are certified OFA-Excellent, Good, or Fair OFA – Elbow Certification – Certified by OFA for normal elbows on x-ray, only one grade recognized as normal. Check with OFA for proper procedures and positioning for hip and elbow x-rays. Re-certification must be done annually. vWD – Von Willebrands Disease free-meaning the dog has been tested and found free of vWD, a bleeding disorder, vWD free ratings also are often given with a percentage listed.
