I received my copy of the new Sally Rooney novel, Intermezzo, which I had pre-ordered from Amazon, but I'm sending it back and getting a replacement because of the gross stains on the dustjacket (you can see one near the spine, but there are also some on the front), as well as the half-inch tear along the bottom edge. I don't envy the people who work at that company's fulfillment centers, who must constantly be under so much stress. Surely, Amazon can find a better way of handling goods at the start of their logistics journey such that they arrive in as new condition?
