Sunset🌅

Getting ready to watch the sunset is definitely on my favourite list! The water is as light as a pearl and the warm wind blows gently in my hair as the sun sets. This has made my day and is definitely worth repeating. The feeling I get here is more distinct than anything else. Only now do I understand why it is called "one happy island". Apart from the friendly and warm people’s of this island, the island itself is "one happy island" and makes people smile with its unique value.

“Un’isola felice”

Oggi parlerò del mio viaggio in Aruba, nei Caribi nel 2019! Era il mio primo viaggio tropicale e in un resort, perché la mia amica, Izzy, mi aveva invitata con generosità a andarci con lei e i suoi genitori. 

Izzy e me siamo sopra e il resort è sotto!

Le avventure

Aruba è un paese dedicato al turismo, quindi ci sono molte attività divertenti nell’oceano e sulla terra. 

Due attività nuove per me erano la pesca nell’acqua profonda e lo snorkeling. Mi sarei divertita più senza il mal di mare sulla barca e senza ingerire troppa l’acqua mentre facevo snorkeling… nondimeno era un’esperienza indimenticabile!

Fortunatamente, avevo più di fortuna sulla terra quando guidavo ATV verso l’isola per esplorare grotte con l’acqua (le foto sotto) e vedere le piccole pesche nel ruscello che nascevano verso i nostri piedi. Era un senso strano!

Il cibo

Perché i genitori di Izzy sono di Jamaica e di Trinidad, facevano molte cene con gli ingredienti caribi! Per esempio, le banane verdi fritte nell’olio di cocco, gli avocado affettato, e i frutti di mare. Mangiavamo questi cibi quasi ogni giorno!

Un altro nuovo cibo a me era una piccola frutta chiamata kenepa. È un parole della lingua dell’isola chiamata Papiamento. Come nella foto sopra, kenepa hanno una buccia verde e dura che deve essere crepata per mangiare la polpa tra la buccia e il nocciolo grande nel centro. Kenepa sono dolce come l’uva!

 Un’esperienza speciale

Mi sembra che sia importante che le turiste visitino i luoghi dove gli abitanti vivono per riconoscere la cultura del paese.

Abbiamo avuto quest’opportunità in Aruba quando siamo andati alla casa dell’amico della famiglia di Izzy. Tutta la sera, abbiamo celebrato l’anniversario di un uomo nelle vicinanze. Perché Aruba è una piccola isola, tutto il quartiere ci è venuto, quindi era un’esperienza differente dei quartieri in Canada dove ci siamo disperduti. Insieme, abbiamo cantato « buon compleanno! » in spagnolo (un’altra lingua parlata in Aruba) e abbiamo mangiato una cena locale del riso con le piccole salsicce saporiti!

A finire...

Penso che tutti debbano visitare questa piccola isola se possono. C’è il cibo unico, molte maniere diverse per divertirsi, e le genti amichevoli!
