"One Night in Bangkok" is extremely racist, a tad transphobic, and is responsible in perpetuating a lot of stereotypes about the city and Thailand in general.

But I can't say it doesn't slap. It's maddening how much it slaps.

Also the orientalist imagery of the music video is so off-base that its offensiveness actually goes 360 and becomes hilarious.

I can not stop thinking about Anthem from Chess. To me it’s one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed for musical theater and it’s from the same musical as fucking one night in Bangkok.
