character — @omarxwatson
Despite the lingering anxiety of Emmy having left for LA, Verda was doing her best to keep a strongfront. After all, her marriage was far too new to have people doubting their happiness. "Everyone sounds incredible, don't they? I can't believe I didn't think of something like this myself," she hummed to the stranger at her side. The least she could do was strike up a conversation in hopes of knocking away the doubt that had her worried. "I'm Ver, by the way. I don't usually start up conversations randomly, but there's a first for everything, right? Are you enjoying the performances?"

who do you think we'll see anyone cozying up together during these winter months? and who do you think will remain cold and alone?
Clearly Adem and Ysla, though I guess he'll be avoiding any boat related activities for the foreseeable future. Trauma can run so deep. Another little birdie told me Abril and Mal are sharing spaces, maybe even blankets. It is so cold out ladies can't say I blame you. Luna and Drew of course, I don't think he was joking when he said they were literally stitching their skin together. Vanni and Yaz seem to be getting very comfortable. I guess the other woman (allegedly) doesn't always cry herself to sleep. Cute? Rohan may be cozying up with Dixie but I still think they're gonna be freezing on that damn boat. Now as far as cold and alone goes... Noah and Astrid if they keep up this weird cold war they got going on. I think Salem was onto something when she said Rohan is always at the scene of the crime. Nazli is spending too much of her time at work when she should be in the club and Omar never leaves his house. It's a got damn shame. I'd like Javi to get up and get active, such beauty going to waste. Once again, not enough people at the club !

"So, how're things with you and Amara?" She'd come to terms with the fact that as much as the other despised her (or so it felt), she'd wanted to be friends. "It's been awhile since I ran into her, but I think we've at least agreed to keep it civil. I like her," she admitted as she came down to rest atop one of her high chairs at the kitchen island, hands falling to her knees rather than the coffee she'd only just poured. "But on the off chance you don't want to talk about it, then you'll have to tell me something else to change the subject, Watson."

"When you get a chance, you mind coming back to my office and checking something out for me? I had this client come in and request a full back piece. I basically spent the night here working on something, but I want to get your eyes on it and see what you think about it," he hummed, head nodding towards the hall that led down to his workspace. Out of everyone he trusted to give him an honest opinion, it was Omar. "Might be the biggest piece I've done yet, but it's going to be a good one."

character: Omar Watson @omarxwatson
location: Fine Arts Club
With all the things going on in her life, Dylan did not want to neglect her career though in all the craziness and Omar's art inspired her to fight for him to be put in the gallery. Widening their audience and also opening their built in audience into new art was the ultimate goal here. Smiling as the tattoo artist came into her office, she carefully got up from her chair, her growing belly making it a bit more work. "Hey! I'm glad you could make it in! I wanted to give ya the great news in person!" She exclaimed excitedly to the man as she had a feeling he'd probably figured exactly what her reasoning was for asking him to come over to the gallery.

Ingrid beamed a welcoming smile as the familiar face returned, acknowledging the absence of their encounters. Behind the counter, she leaned in with a friendly tone. "Well, well, welcome back. It's been quite a while, hasn't it?" With the club's relatively empty atmosphere, she found the perfect opportunity for a brief chat. "So, what can I get you tonight?" Ingrid inquired, ready to serve the returning patron with their drink of choice and perhaps a little conversation to catch up.

starter for @kadirxsahin
location: inked illusions
Omar had just finished up with his last client for the evening, working a bit later than normal. The client had been able to tolerate the last few hours of his sleeve without much complaint. He was cleaning up his station, taking his time as he was in no rush to get back to his partly unpacked apartment. "Hey, we're closing up," he called out as soon as he heard the bell above the door ring to signal that someone had stepped in. He tossed the paper towel in the trash and was met with his boss. "Kadir, hey, I was just finishing up for the night, want to grab a drink?"

—Starter for @omarxwatson Location: The Jagged Yard
"Hey, Omar, right?" Foster greeted. "I'm Foster, I'm a client of Max's... Mind if I sit with you? I think I underestimated the holiday crowd." The place was packed, and there were few seats to be found. He'd rather sit was a somewhat familiar face than try and chance it with a stranger.

Jedi Master Thame Cerulian
I’ve been meaning to sit down and come up with a design for this guy for a while, and after starting and stopping a few times, we’re finally here. The other day I saw @revanisadumbass mention they headcanon Thame as being Jocasta’s master and that gave me the strength I needed to get back to this bc I’m sick of waiting for canon to catch up with my special interests and I’ve been headcanoning that for years lol.
Even though he started out as this mysterious guy we hear about but never meet in Jude Watson’s book, he ends up being kind of a dork in the Path of the Jedi tbh. I think he’s a perfect foil for Jocasta. Thame is a valuable resource— he’s a wealth of knowledge, he’s a highly accomplished historian, he’s a well respected scholar… but he’s also a little goofy. I think Jo having to dig through a bunch of dad jokes and puns to get to the information she needs would be very frustrating for her, and she may or may not end up learning to be more patient with him lol.
I ended up l o o s e l y basing his design off of Omar Sharif. He’s outgoing and confident, so I’m drawing him with sort of snazzy hair and fancy stache. But he’s also somewhat absentminded, so he’s got a curl out of place and 5 o’clock shadow. And for some reason, Corellian Jedi wear green robes, so that’s cool. He’s basically wearing what Corran Horn wears 🤷 anyway, that’s where this guy came from! I’ve tried really hard to get to know Thame better while drawing him over the past couple days, and I think I like him? He seems kind of fun and silly? I have to get going on Lene Kostana now 😵
#thame cerulian#here he is everyone#in the year of our lord 2024#I honestly never thought I’d care enough to actually come up with a consistent design for this guy#jedi#pre-prequels#star wars#fan art#sw fan art#digital art

"Hey, boss man. You got a second?" Their paths hadn't crossed too much in the last couple of weeks. Either Max was too busy inking, or Omar was busy doing the same. The idea rattling around in the man's head wasn't an original thought, at least the idea, but he'd been holding onto it with the intention of pitching it towards the owner. "I wanted to ask you something. How would you feel about an end of the summer flash day? I've got some smaller pieces I've been working on and I figured it could be a way to bring some easy money in."

Ingrid delivered a drink to him, accompanied by a slip of paper bearing a phone number. She leaned in and said, "This is from the lady in the green dress. She wanted me to give you her number, but of course, the choice is yours." Ingrid's gaze briefly shifted to the young woman in the corner who had been watching him intently. "Let me know if you want it or not, and I'll try to ler her down gently. It's not like she hasn't been doing this every other night."

18 Representatives out of 435 Representatives and 100 Senators.
That's how many U.S. Congresspeople support a ceasefire in occupied Palestine. That's how few of our leaders want peace. 18 Representatives and 0 Senators. Not even Bernie Sanders, the most progressive Senator, who campaigned for President on stopping endless wars, supports a ceasefire. Likelihood is, all of your elected representatives support Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people.
It is abhorrent, and yet not surprising, that the leaders of the United States have still not learned from this country's genocidal history. In fact, the people of the United States support a ceasefire even as our elected representatives do not:
A Data for Progress national poll conducted from October 18-19 found that 66 percent of voters in the U.S. support a ceasefire and de-escalation of violence in Gaza. Specifically, 80 percent of Democratic voters support a ceasefire, 57 percent of Independent or third party voters support a ceasefire, and 56 percent of Republican voters support a ceasefire. Americans support a ceasefire.
Ask yourself, why aren't our representatives following the will of the people who voted for them?
The only Representatives who support a ceasefire are:
Cori Bush
Jonathan Jackson
Jamaal Bowman
André Carson
Jesús "Chuy" García
Summer Lee
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Ilhan Omar
Ayanna Pressley
Delia Ramirez
Rashida Tlaib
Nydia Velázquez
Bonnie Watson Coleman
Gregorio Casar
Pramila Jayapal
Barbara Lee
Alma Adams
Maxwell Frost
Those Representatives are the ones who actually care about the lives of innocent Palestinians and who are actually listening to their voters. If your Representative is not on this list, take that into account when the 2024 primaries and general election come around. Your Senators are all not on this list, so take that into account as well. "Vote blue no matter who" and attitudes like that don't make your representatives work for you, because they know they have your votes anyway.
If you want your representatives to fight for the Palestinian people's freedom, then you must push them to. Tell them to support Palestine, and if they won't, then elect people who will. The vocal support for Palestine on social media is important, but voting accordingly would do even more to push the United States to end its support of Israel. At the end of the day, the United States is Israel's most powerful ally, and without U.S. support it would be much harder for them to continue their genocide.
Free Palestine.
