He understood the pain and fear that she was feeling bout people finding out about their relationship. "(Y/N), I understand but that does not mean we can be reckless." Levi leans into (Y/N), now both leaning on the wall. Levi leans into kiss (Y/N), a small kiss that only last a few seconds. "I'll be more careful."

Levi was sneaking away from is bunk, making his way to (Y/N)'s room. As he sneaks past the halls with ease he runs into Erwin. "What are you doing around these parts Levi?" Levi puts his clothes from yesterday one, he looks disheveled. He cracks the door and looks down the hallway, no one. Good. Levi opens the door and walks though it, slowly closing it as (Y/N) had still been in bed. But as he was about to release the doorknob he hears the cries of Hange, "Levi! What are you doing coming from Caption (Y/N)'s room?" Goddamn it, not now. Not like this. Not because of them. Hange looks at Levi, disheveled and hair out of place. Lips swollen and bleeding from being bitten. Levi staring at Hange with a look of fear they had never seen in him before. Hange then put to and to together as they look at Levi and his hand still on (Y/N)'s doorknob. "Oh my god, are you and Caption (Y/N) courting!" Hange squealed in delight as they ran towards Levi. Oh, you've found one of my weaknesses. I like when a young man chases after an older woman and I think that's exactly how this would go. Mikasa sees Eren as just her younger neighbor while he's enamored with her because she's so mature and beautiful. Let's say there's three years age difference? That way when she graduates high school he's still only 15 and in her eyes he's this lovable scamp who used to follow her around everywhere while to him she's a grown up woman and the picture of perfection. They're close enough in age that she doesn't see him as a child, but he does still seem immature to her so she doesn't take him seriously.

She goes away for school and their families aren't particularly close so she only sees him in passing when she's home on breaks. Mikasa is speechless to see that Eren is no longer the teenage ragamuffin she remembered, and she's flustered when he starts flirting with her like the grown ass man he is. When did he get so tall and confident? Why is she so into it? He's making her giggle and feel so silly.

Meanwhile, this is what Eren has been waiting his whole life for. He's been planning for the moment they saw each other again. Every time he makes her blush it's like a victory over his doofy former self. He asks her if she wants to go for a walk around the old neighborhood and they wind up at the playground and go on the swings together.

Eren says, "Do you remember making the swings kiss?"

Mikasa laughs and nods and rocks her swing sideways so her thigh bumps against Eren's. He does it back and they make the swings kiss a few times before he grabs the chain on her swing and pulls her over and kisses her for real. When they pull apart, she's breathless. He smiles and says, "I always had a crush on you."

She turns red and says, "Oh."

Eren grins at her. "I'm going to take you on a date."

"Okay," she says, twirling her hair without realizing it. What is happening? How did her buddy Eren from next door turn into this?
