Want to make a minor adjustment to my Steve With Much Older Siblings post from yesterday. I think it’d be a much more interesting dynamic if he’s actually their half sibling from an affair.
Their father had an affair with his secretary and then married her when she got pregnant. It broke up their family and they blamed Steve for it for years.
When they stayed over for their weekend with Dad, they were either outright cruel to him or pretended he didn’t exist. When they were old enough to stop coming over, they did. It’s only after growing up and maturing that (most of) his siblings were able to acknowledge that Steve was never at fault for their family breaking up.
They tried to mend their relationship with him, especially after realizing how absent his parents are, but by then Steve was old enough to build up his own resentment. It’s an uphill battle.
It’s a lot of actually coming around for holidays and a lot of teasing when they do. It’s actually picking the phone when the hospital calls, something that’s happening with increasing frequency.
Steve has never asked any of them for anything until one day, he shows up on Richie’s front porch smelling like death and gasoline. He’s got blood drying all over him and is visibly shaking, and Richie thinks that he’s been hurt in the earthquake but Steve barely acknowledges the concern, “I need you to represent my friend.”
“What?”
“You’re the only lawyer I know, and -“ Steve takes a big shuttering breath. “They’ll kill him, Rich. He never hurt anybody but no one will listen. They’ll lock him up and it won’t be fair, and Dustin can’t… I never ask you for anything but. But I need…”
“Eddie Munson?” He asks incredulous. “You’re friends with Eddie Munson?”

Okay crazy Dark Rise/Heir theory:
I think Anharion used to be a prince.
I might be getting a bit too conspiratorial on this one, but I’m basing it off one line/simile Pacat used. If I’ve learned anything about the way he forshadows, I’ve learned to be suspicious of word choice and similes. I mean look at this
“James looked like its young prince, returned at long last to his rightful throne.”
Like amazing simile, but what if it’s actually true? I love how my mistrust has evolved into a theory, but it actually reads like a hint the more time I look at it.
Then when I looked up the word prince in the rest of the book, I found this
“James in princely red, with rubies around his throat”
It could be a coincidence it really could be. But I’m feeling so suspicious right now…..

‘Till Death Do Us Part, Pt. 1 | Leon S. Kennedy x Reader
summary: Leon is late to his own wedding, albeit he seems to have a solid excuse.
could be read as a follow up to
content: assumed older Leon, assumed age gap, no mentions of y/n, a tad of angst, everything’s about Leon, the Redfield siblings stepping in, reader’s POV
author’s note: there’ll be plenty of Leon himself in the follow up, i pinky promise; as always, barely proofread, proceed at your own risk.
word count: author is capable only of drabbles, so.
thank you so much for reading, y’all
xoxo
***
When the Redfields barge into your room uninvited, you immediately think of the worst.
“Where is he?” you jump out of your chair, dragging a hem of your wedding dress with you towards the siblings. Your patience is wearing thin before Chris takes a deep breath, and Claire speaks up. You can imagine these two play rock-paper-scissor behind the door on who is going to be a bearer of the bad news, although right now you are not sure who wins at the end.
“He is late,” Claire’s gaze pleads you to stay calm. She has way too much faith, though, and she definitely asks too much of you, when Leon is late to his own wedding; and as the Redfields are here, you are convinced that things are a tad more serious than your fiancé being stuck in one of New York’s terrible traffic jams.
Somehow Chris reads your mind.
“He is going to be here soon,” Redfield vows, although you don’t think that he is in a position to. Leon S. Kennedy should’ve been the only man to vow anything to you today.
“Where is he?” you ask again, this time with a specific accent at beginning of the sentence, and the more you eye both Claire and Chris with a searching glance the heavier the air. Claire gives her brother a dirty look, and only then Chris admits:
“Leon was called to work last night,” Redfield confesses. You blink once, feeling sick. This would mean that last night Leon lied to you. Chris seems to notice your thought process again. “He didn’t want to worry you. He was supposed to be quick.”
“He was supposed to be at his bachelor’s party,” you object. You can’t blame Chris for Leon’s assignment, but right now you have to blame someone. Redfield understands.
Claire makes a step forward, touching your shoulder, and then hugs you. You freeze for a second, but then hug her back, and Claire holds you tight.
There is still hope that he shows up. Sooner or later, and better late than never. Observing Leon for the past months, you are afraid of “never” being a real possibility even without his stupid job intervening. After all, he didn’t have a great track record of committed relationships, and he wasn’t himself since you’ve started talking about your engagement.
You pull away from Redfield after some time and take a deep breath, collecting yourself.
“He is worth the wait,” Claire says gently, and you show her a weak, but sincere smile in reply.
“He is,” you mumble. He is worth it indeed. This man is a walking problem, but you care about him too much to give up on him that easily. Also, he is lucky to be pretty.
So you ask the Redfield siblings for a favour, – to take care of the guests, – and you wait.
You just need him to get back to you alive. The rest is easy, no matter how hard the conversation is going to be.
***
Your wedding banquet is sacrificed in an attempt to make it up to the people who showed up for the wedding that has never happened. Leon is not just late – he is too late at this point, and your faith is running thin. Also, you are painfully sober for the sake of staying sane by the time he’s back.
He has to get back.
Chris, on the other hand, is a half way into the bottle of whiskey, although, considering his constitution, he needs a lot more alcohol to get drunk. You think that you’ve made a right decision sending him to entertain the guests.
Later you take it as a bad omen when Redfield approaches you with a concerned look at his face.
“His operator says that he’s off the grid,” Chris sees your confusion. He is quick to explain. “Leon isn’t responding.”
Redfield doesn’t like how your eyes widen, and he adds in the last detail; the one he would pay a pretty penny for not to say it out loud at your wedding.
“He was declared missing ten minutes ago,” Chris places his wide palm on your shoulder, but you resent his pity. “I am so sorry.”
You don’t respond, and it takes you a moment to decide on the course of your actions.
You attract everyone’s attention with the loud clink of an exquisitely looking silver knife on a thin champagne glass.
Then your voice breaks for the first time.
“The wedding is cancelled.”

new WIP?
I have begun a new fic idea surrounding the adopted daughter of the Winchesters when they retire (Winchesters includes the entire main core people in a post canon fix-it fic because I want Bobby and Crowley to be alive and others too. Winchesters does not mean wincest, fuck off degenerates)
This fic was inspired by the headcanon that Jack would be a great big brother to a little sister, and that they would also be like Dean as a big brother because that is his main example of one.
On a case, the group ends up adopting a baby girl. Sam and Eileen have a daughter a year later. They retire and the group raises their daughters without any involvement of the Supernatural, telling the girls nothing about their past life. The story follows the two daughters as they are high schoolers trying to figure out why certain aspects of their childhood were so...weird. At first, they think it's something to do with a secret government agency, like X-files or S.H.E.I.L.D., but they discover the truth is way more bizarre, terrifying, and supernatural than they ever could have guessed.

Hey! Little add-on to the Steve Has Older Siblings AU that I’m apparently cultivating in this post and this post, but not going to actually write.
1. Steve’s oldest sister, Elizabeth, has not talked to the family since before Steve was born because his mom is a year older than her. They went to school together. They used to be friends.
2. The first of Steve’s siblings that try to mend their relationship with him is his brother Richie. Steve thinks he’s only trying now because his wife got full custody of their kids in the divorce and moved to Colorado. He has no interest in being anybody’s substitute kid.
3. Jason tried to drown Steve in the pool once. At least that’s how Steve remembers it. Jason remembers it differently. Very differently.
4. His sister, Claire, is secretly his favorite sibling but she did nearly overdose him on children’s Tylenol when he was a baby.
5 The first time Steve met Tommy’s brothers they were so (averagely) nice to him that he cried so hard Mrs H called his mom to pick him up.

I have that silly headcanon where Aja became a Papa Skull fan thanks to Claire, while Douxie and Zoe were in charge of giving her a makeover to take her to the band's concert for the first time, although it was Aja who ended up buying the tickets lol
(I like the idea of "double date between Claja and Zouxie, with Zoe and Douxie taking care of Claire because they consider her like a little sister, plus they also take the opportunity to bother Aja just because they have fun doing it.")

Favourite Resident Evil Characterizations Out of All Their Games [1/?]: Short Hair Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (2015)
#crimson's gifs: resident evil#Resident Evil#RE#Resident Evil: Revelations 2#RE: Revelations 2#RE Revelations 2#Resident Evil Revelations 2#RE REV2#Claire Redfield#Sniper Claire Redfield#So this series is gonna be for both physically favourite and depiction favourite#So in terms of outfit and such this Claire is my favourite because its the only one that actually fucking branches out from her usual style#In every single RE game or series shes in shes always in a leather jacket and pony tail with blue jeans#The only outlier is degeneration#So the short hair and the long sleeved shirt really go hard as a change and also really suit her. I love the hair and wish they kept it#In death island for her instead of copy pasting her ID look#In terms of characterisation I love a more rough around the edges depiction of her reminiscent of Code Veronica#Ive always preferred Claire when shes not forced into a protector of children role and that being her entire identity#Yes shes compassionate and thats one of her main motifs but shes also a person who made a LOT of mistakes young#Including abandoning Leon and Sherry post RE2 and not looking into Simmons before he got custody of Sherry#So seeing how her ability to talk to kids has dulled over the years and her older sense of humor really works#Code Veronica and Rev2 are the only versions of her that they don't try and make her mother teresa and I love her way more that way#I feel like in all versions of RE2 shes ruined by her post re2 decisions in the way they try and paint her in-game#I haven't watched Degen in a WHILE and in ID she's just there for 5 minutes to be pissed at Leon for making a really hard decision he had t#Idk I feel like if they introduced her in code veronica and her only 2 outings were CVX and REV2 she wouldn't take any damage from it#Theme: Characterized
