Literally running out of ideas but here we go. Queercanons part something:
1. Buck is bisexual with preferences leaning towards women (Ice Age)
2. Badyah is Asexual (Dead End Paranormal Park)
3. Timon and Pumbaa are married. Timon is gay and Pumbaa is bisexual (The Lion King)

There are like 12 people left in the Dead End:Paranormal Park/Deadendia fandom—from what I know—but Ima make a countdown till the Divine Order’s release
For me, there are 13 days left till it’s out, and it’s the 8th day of my friends ghosting me after I talked about the comic.
Here are some unfinished Badyah(one of my fav goobers) doodles. If my schoolwork doesn’t stop me, I will try to do the rest of the countdown/drop some not-too-brilliant theories! 👋👋👋

I love how they handled Badyah (spoilers for book 3)
After seeing so many people say they're glad that she's straight, or that "SHE'S CLEARLY AROACE GUYS," I'm glad she went with neither because she actually broke far more stereotypes in being allowed to question her sexuality and change her mind rather than going with an easy label based on limited evidence and jumping to conclusions. Especially since the reasonng of "maybe the fact that I never questioned it is what it means to be straight?" Is a common mistake queer people make and exactly the logic I used to insist I was straight until I turned 18 and got smacked in the fact with a bisexual trans crisis all at once. It takes some people a lot of time to figure themselves out and Badyah's arc was written very well here I think in that regard
Going back on a rejection and asking out the person you shot down earlier is also a thing I feel isnt represented enough, and it's also very relatable. I feel very connected to Badyah as a character and I'm really glad she exists, even if the way they unceremoniously threw away Zagan to make her moment happen was pretty sloppy and disappointing. The boys getting polyamory but not the girls is kinda lame, but makes sense I guess because of their religion? idk I'd still rewrite it if it were me but I wont look a gift horse in the mouth for too long

My designs for Norma and Badyah!
Tumblr media
Much like the comics, my Norma and Badyah are adults, but I did pull from the show designs for inspiration because they are very solid and pleasing to look at.

I feel like Deadendia took a lot of the things SVTFOE failed at and did them better.
Particularly the ending where all magic is destroyed and the worlds combine. For one, no one needs magic to survive in this world, so they're not killing anyone, but they're also rewriting the timeline, so society isn't suddenly being uprooted. It's also clearly shown that the current cosmic order is inherently oppressive to demons, the planes system was designed to oppress them, and the existence of magic is linked to that. Also, with the exception of Earth and Mewni, all dimensions were permanently separated in SVTFOE, the ending didn't create unity, it caused even more division, Earth and Mewni were accidents. Deadendia gave us an ending where everyone got to be together.
Secondly, the love triangle between Norma, Badyah, and Zagan was more satisfying. Marco never really got the chance to consider Star's crush before she got with Tom, so it just felt like bad timing, unearned drama. That's not the case with Badyah, she actually turned down Norma, and could've changed her mind at any point in book 2. That made her jealousy in book 3 more interesting to watch, because it's not just bad luck, it's the consequences of a decision she regrets. She also took action on her crush, declaring her feelings once she was sure she did want to be with Norma. Zagan was also more self aware than Tom, she could see the writing on the wall, and amicably broke up with Norma after seeing them kiss.
The ending also specifically confronts the one who created and rules this system, not just some individual prejudiced person. This story even points out how that's counterproductive.
