Koei Tecmo has released new details, video, and screenshots of Warriors All-Stars introducing the character relationships and original storyline of the upcoming ‘one-versus-thousands’ crossover action game.

Story

Summoned from a diverse range of worlds and time periods to save a mysterious land at the brink of destruction, the champions of Warriors All-Stars find themselves in the middle of a clash for control. When a magical power source dries up after the king’s passing, princess Tamaki performs a ritual to summon saviors in times of dire need, but her power spirals out of control and scatters them across the domain. As the legend foretells that the land’s liberator will be crowned its new ruler, Tamaki sets out at once to seek the new arrivals and restore peace to the kingdom. However, so do her rivals Setsuna and Shiki – descendants of the royal family who also vie for the throne. Uncertain of their fate, the champions are split into three separate groups with no choice but to duke it out for dominance.

Key Battles, Free Scenarios, and Bonds

Within this volatile setting, the player must choose their allies carefully. By engaging in Key Battles and taking on Free Scenarios, players will gain access to their faction’s roster of warriors and craft a dream team. Character choices will affect the course and conclusion of the game, as their friendships are key to how the game’s story unfolds, which is further enhanced with the addition of the all-new Bond system. Relationships between characters can improve by fighting alongside one another and spending time together in the Barracks. The closer the Bond, the stronger the abilities unlocked to gain an upper hand on the battlefield.

The new “Tamaki Clan” trailer features Zhao Yun, Lu Bu, Wang Yunaji, and Zhou Cang from Dynasty Warriors, Oka, Tokitsugu and Horo from Toukiden, Sophie and Plachta from Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Book, Opoona from Opoona, and original character princess Tamaki.

Warriors All-Stars is due out for physically and digitally for PlayStation 4, and for PC via Steam on August 29 in North America and September 1 in Europe. It is available now in Japan for PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

Koei Tecmo ha anunciado que Warriors All-Stars será lanzado el 29 de agosto en América para PlayStation 4 y PC (Steam). En Europa tendrán que esperar un poco más, allá será lanzado el 1 de septiembre.

Se trata de un musou al estilo Dinasty Warriors y está siendo desarrollado por Omega Force. Lo especial en esta ocasión es que el juego está compuesto por varios personajes de otros juegos publicados por Koei Tecmo. Algunos de los personajes ya confirmados son:

KOEI TECMO Europe ha hecho oficial su próximo juego: Warriors All-Stars, que estará disponible en todo Occidente. El desarrollo de este título correrá a cargo del estudio Omega Force, que a lo largo de este año ha sacado adelante Musou Stars y Fire Emblem Warriors.

Koei Tecmo America revealed today developer Omega Force’s latest entry in the long-running Warriors franchise: Warriors All-Stars.

Warriors All-Stars will bring together characters from across some of Koei Tecmo’s most popular franchises to battle in traditional Dynasty Warriors style.

Some of the characters making an appearance include:

Marie Rose and Kasumi (Dead or Alive)

Ryu Hyabusa (Dead or Alive/Ninja Gaiden)

William (Nioh)

Yukimura Sanada (Samurai Warriors)

Horo and Oka (Toukiden)

Sophie Neuenmuller (Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book)

More details on playable characters and gameplay are set to be revealed soon (most likely at E3 in June).

Dynasty Warriors Crossover Game U.S. Release Announced

Koei Tecmo has revealed that Warriors All-Stars, its crossover game featuring characters from the Dynasty Warriors series, Ninja Gaiden, Dead or Alive, and more will be available August 29 in North America and September 1 in the U.K. for PlayStation 4 and PC.

A representative for Koei Tecmo has confirmed to IGN that "there are currently no plans for a PS Vita version in North America," however. All-Stars was released on the Vita in Japan.

Along with the release date announcement, Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer for the game, which debuted in Japan on March 30.

Ninja Gaiden's Ryu Hayabusa, Nioh's William, Samurai Warriors' Yukimura Sanada, Dead or Alivee's Kasumi, Dynasty Warriors' Zhao Yun, Toukiden's Horo and Oka, and Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book's Sophie Neuenmuller are among the game's roster of fighters from Koei Tecmo's various franchises.

Pre-order bonus images were also released, showcasing the fun and fantastical content available for those who purchase Warriors All-Stars ahead of the game’s release on August 29, 2017 from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop or EB Canada (available through Centresoft in Europe). "Musou☆Stars" Heads West Later This Year as "Warriors All-Stars"

Koei Tecmo officially revealed plans to bring crossover action game Musou☆Stars to the west as Musou All-Stars. The PlayStation 4 and PC release is set to launch in North America on August 29, followed by Europe on September 1.

Yesterday, Koei Tecmo took to Twitter to tease an announcement for today. Many speculated that it would be a new game or a previous release being ported to other systems.

This announcement instead turned out to be that Warriors All-Stars (Musou All-Stars in Japan) will see an August 29th, 2017, release date for PS4 and PC. This title was originally released in March 2017, in Japan nd only for the PS4. 

Being helmed by Omega Force, Warriors All-stars, the newest entry in the Musou series will feature characters from multiple Koei Tecmo Games. These characters include Ryu Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden, Kasumi from DEAD OR ALIVE, William from Nioh, Yukimura Sanada from SAMURAI WARRIORS, Zhao Yun from DYNASTY WARRIORS, Horo and Oka from Toukiden, and Sophie Neuenmuller from Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book
