and btw since I'm posting a lot of wholesoul content (intended as platonic but still), i do want to make it clear: my analysis of whole as a character is purely within the narrative of the story! while i am aware that behind the metaphors is whole is cj himself, that's never what i'm writing whole as in my work. basically I'm using the internal logic of the fiction (whole as viewed by the characters in the album) rather than the reason for the fiction existing (as a fictionalized version of chonny's mental state), just like i do with all the other characters. it's important to make that distinction when you're dealing with a piece of fiction so heavily based on the creator i think. I'll never use cj as a basis for how I write whole because I find that a little off putting tbh ^^;

How big did your canvas end up for your merman piece? It looks so clean and crisp!
thank u! funny enough I was fully eyeballing the majority of the process, I committed to using the soft pencil brush at size 100 to fill in most of the details which ended up making everything look kinda blurry (which I don't hate! it just looks like wrongly resized at any level of zoom except all out and 100%) anyways this is the size
I know plenty of folks draw on like 10K canvases all the time but this is double the size of my usual canvas lol. and it is at 350dpi bc it's the SAI2 preset and I love stressing out my beautiful, traitorous laptop

I want to start a new typeset but I have like six options that all sound equally fun to do, and I can't do them all at once so I'm asking tumblr's advice. Also because I've never used the poll feature before and I want to.
The ghost stories are public domain and fairly short, the others are all fic and very long. Probably long enough to merit multiple volumes per fic, which is not even slightly a deterrent. I find I like making books in sets.
