Hello Claire,
First of all, thank you so much for everything you have been sharing these last few weeks about My Stand-In and Poom (and Up). It's such a treat ❤️
Was My Stand-In Poom's first project out of CH8 or was it Bake Me Please? I hope his popularity will rise and allow him to be cast in different kinds of show and role. Because it must be frustrating to always play the same type of character... And do you know in which agency does he belong please?
Have a nice day ❤️
hiiii (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
well thank you for following and always supporting my gifs i see you (。・ω・。)ノ♡
So Bake Me Please is actually Channel 8 (CH8)'s first ever BL series where they got their rising male actors (Ohm, Guide, Poom, Atom, Prame, Tawan) to star in, so BMP is actually a CH8 series.
I believe Poom's first ever non CH8 work is Saneha Stories Season 4: Saiyai Saneha (2022) which is a two-episode mini series based on the real life story of a gay man. This was aired on AIS Play and produced by TV Thunder.
Poom also has another comedy series Jenny A.M./P.M. (2022) on AIS Play but this was in collaboration with CH8 which is why there were some CH8 actors (Poom, Nonny, Prame) in the series. Poom plays the straight best friend of the male protagonist (played by Singto Prachaya).
So technically My Stand-In is Poom's 2nd or 3rd work outside of CH8 (depending on how you view the two projects above) but it is Poom's first lead role in a major production and Poom often refers to My Stand-In as his first ever lead role in interviews so that's Poom's position on it 😅
For some background on Poom's agency. He is managed by RSDG - a production/talent management subsidiary company of RS Group, a Thai entertainment and media company that owns CH8. So basically Poom is a Channel 8 actor but it seems that CH8 is a bit more laxed about their actors partaking in series outside of their network (but that also comes with a cost).
I've heard rumors that CH8 gave Poom an ultimatum between becoming 2ML in another CH8 lakorn or choosing to star in My Stand-In (a non CH8 work) and not having any CH8 lakorn projects left for the rest of the year. I have no idea the accuracy of this rumor but I guess all we gotta do is look at Poom's schedule for the rest of this year and see if he's got anything else other than MSI fanmeetings here and there ಥ_ಥ
But I have a lot of fun watching Poom playing his evil lakorn villain roles at CH8 as well and I think those scenes helped greatly in honing his acting skills throughout his acting career so far (you can watch Poom being very stiff in his early works and the gradual improvement progress over the course of his lakorn works). If you pick a random CH8 lakorn with Poom, his character is sure to be killing or dying or crying or getting mad or fucking someone (sometimes all of the above).
Whatever the future holds for Poom, I'm very happy that he chose My Stand-In because I can't imagine a world where we do not get Poom Phuripan as Joe. Poom expresses a lot of happiness from finally getting positive reactions about his acting performances for the first time, which is a thing that I think lakorn actors will hardly get (especially if you play supporting roles at an obscure TV channel with low to average viewership). I also feel like Poom is pretty happy to finally get to play a character that's so close to his personality in real life (bonus the fact that his character isn't dying or going to jail).
I too hope that My Stand-In will be the breakthrough project Poom needed to get the attention and the opportunities he deserved after being much underrated and typecasted at CH8, manifesting many interesting scripts and acting opportunities come his way 🥹
sorry op i hope i answered some of your inquiries. i totally get carried away whenever i'm rambling. tldr: poom is managed by rsdg group so officially speaking, he's an actor for channel 8 but sometimes they let him out to star in non-ch8 works.

A very super-duper quick weekend update on the Old GMMTV Challenge!
1) My Make It Right, season 2, review drops tomorrow morning (my time)! In it, I implore everyone and all of their friends and relatives to please watch this ridiculously beautiful show. I finished it on Thursday, and am still feeling emotional about it. It was raw and gorgeous. I absolutely LOVED IT.
2) SOTUS S and Our Skyy x SOTUS binge watch starts tonight (Step By Step temporarily delayed me, ha).
I’m wondering if Make It Right 2, in 2017, was the first Thai BL to show the continuation of a committed relationship overall (FrameBook) -- because SOTUS S airs at the end of 2017/start of 2018, and Together With Me: The Next Chapter comes much, much later in 2018.
But: SOTUS S, from what I understand, deals with continuing relationships from the adult/working adult gaze, which very much intrigues me. Was that the first time that happened -- the continuation of a relationship at least somewhat outside the school spectrum, for Arthit? And, if I’m not mistaken -- am I right to say that SOTUS S was the first second season of a BL for GMMTV?
3) I’m also, unfortunately, morbidly curious to see if Krist improves in his acting in this second season, as I’m seeing quite a lot of excitement for Be My Favorite later this spring, and I’m still holding strong judgement against his acting (maybe Krist is experiencing a forgiveness revival?)
4) But separately, I do think it’s important for me to watch Singto before getting to He’s Coming To Me, which I am so close to now on my list. Now that I’ve REALLY delved into the Ohm Pawat oeuvre (and will do so even more with Dew the Movie), I feel like I need to see more Singto before I can seriously and deeply appreciate HCTM. He was the saving grace of SOTUS, and I need to understand better his own legacy and range.
That’s it! Adding Step By Step is delaying my usual binge-ability for the OGMMTVC, but not by much. I’ll be much more messed up next week and the week after with Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy/ATOTS, ha!

GMMTV 2024 Part 2: Winners and Losers
Losers
GMMTV as a whole by creating shows for ships instead of ships for shows. They really pulled the KristSingto and (seemingly) EstWilliam shows out of their asses just to give these two pairs something to star in. And even to the shows based on works by others, I feel like they looked for ships first, concept second.
Now, that's not to say none of those series will be good. On the contrary, I am highly anticipating Thame-Po, for example. Just that it's not a good way to get the best content. But it makes money and Thailand is a capitalist economy, so I guess that's expected.
youtube
Perfect10 Liners. Yawn.
Winners
youtube
The Heart Killers. While I'm not sure exactly what the plot is supposed to be, it does seem intriguing and the chemistry between both pairs is off the charts. I don't think I've seen FirstKhao in a more natural posture, and JoongDunk are actually trying to act a little here. I do hope they minimize the comedy aspect (since this seems like a cross between a thriller and a rom-com), but this is gmmtv and it stars JoongDunk alongside a (in my opinion) much more talented pair of actors. It seems that Jojo Tichakorn is at the helm on this one so I am only cautiously anticipating... Lately, Jojo has a habit of literally changing his stories after they've been shot in order to satisfy viewers. He's not as bad as aof who takes edgy concepts and makes them boring, but he's starting to show creativity-stifling behaviors that I don't appreciate.
youtube
Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist. I really hope GMMTV does two things with this script: 1) condense the backstory of how they got together and focus on the vlogger/food review couple aspect, and 2) give their relationship an obstacle that will be difficult to surmount in the present timeline.
I will say, this storyline is not new at all, but it helps a lot that Mark and Ohm's chemistry is unique among the GMMTV lineup, they look INSANE together, and they're both improving as actors with each role.
youtube
Thame-Po Heart That Skips A Beat. I honestly thought WilliamEst was just in everyone's imagination because I literally have not seen any content of them. But then...OH BOY BUT THEN...the Thame-Po trailer dropped!
I usually hate to see singers in acting roles because usually either the talent or the passion (or both) is lacking. But William seemed competent in the trailer. It helps that the storyline is just his regular life with a few curveballs thrown in, but it works well enough.
And then Est...oh boy EST. He really shocked me in this trailer. Not only is he portraying a wide range of emotions through his eyes quite well, but he's also doing an excellent job at playing off of William. He is my favorite part of the trailer and makes me wonder what he'd be like next to a more seasoned actor. (Nothing against William, of course).
To address the elephant in the room: I think most people were expecting a traditional seme-uke type of pairing with Est being seme-coded. But I like the fact that they didn't really code the story in this way.

omg I saw your post about the jungle and I have to rant because I’m so conflicted! On the one hand it has some of my favs in it and so I want to adore it, but on the other hand the whole thing is just MESSY. And from what I’ve heard of the source material, they’ve stuck to it super closely including dedicating a chapter/episode to each character and I think it’s that (plus the really underwhelming production values) that’s bothering me the most. As far as I’m aware there’s no overarching storyline and so it comes across as a series of short stories set in the same place. I also do recognise though that the actor schedules were also apparently really difficult to work around, and that’s probably affected the series in regards to scenes with the full or most of the cast.
Having said all that, I’ve definitely seen A LOT worse from gmmtv even in recent years and I keep reminding myself that at least it’s messy in a fun, sexy way rather than completely bland (apart from leemook which broke my heart because I was looking forward to seeing them together again). For example if I go by series this year, UMG looked beautiful and was acted well but was horrifically boring, double savage almost tried to market itself as a pseudo bl with perth and ohm and was tedious to get through, I couldn’t get past the first episode of loneliness society and I wasn’t enamoured with 10yt except for view and off. And that’s not me even touching on some of the underwhelming bls.
Also I am trying to keep the faith and have hope because I feel there’s been a drastic improvement from episode 1 to episode 6 and that scene with the twins fighting each other in the parking lot in particular was so good and such an amazing performance from Nanon who apparently worked for 6 hours shooting it and I commend him going so hard for something as unserious as this
okay so first of all I agree with mostly everything you said in this post! I didn't even know the show was adapted from an original material, now the one episode per character makes much more sense! but yeah the lack of overarching material IS an issue, but on top of that the writing is so bad?? from the shows you've mentioned I've only seen 10yt & loneliness society, which I both liked enough & personally I think the writing for these shows is MILES better than for the jungle. I agree that ep 6 was the best episode so far, and it's down to nanon's AMAZING performance & also his great chemistry with mild, but all of that could not cover how SHIT the writing was this ep. nithan is DISAPPOINTED that naannam does a no show to her engagement ceremony EVEN THOUGH she now believes him to be a cheater and a MURDERER??? then he shows up & SHE'S HAPPY???? then the real naannam arrives & professes his love without clearing the air once & telling her the truth AND SHE STILL ACCEPTS TO BE WITH HIM?????? the twins make up OUT OF NOWHERE??? and say they love each other OUT OF NOWHERE???? in fact, I was so confused as to which twin was who until I watched this latest ep, and believe we shouldn't have known of naanfah existence at all until the reveal to punpun's character so WE'D BE SHOCKED TOO!!! yes that would've been a cliche plot twist, but at least there would have BEEN a plot twist! I just cannot, tbh. it's giving the three gentlebros level of writing but with even less screen time & I actually liked t3gb bc it was a silly surface level romcom whereas this does not want to be one but most absolutely is. the dichotomy is killing me I fucking hate it here 😭
xxx
#answers#the jungle#the jungle the series#I'm not surprised that scene in the garage slayed so hard if he spent 6 hours filming it omg#currently going feral at how much of a miss this show is I'm so fucking mad lol

To the vague point about brand pairs, I think their persistence can be helpful from an acting standpoint. Some people benefit from having an acting partner who they have familiarity with, and a second go-around actually works in their favor. (I think the biggest examples might be Pond and Phuwin who got better together with NLMG (granted the scripting and direction was better than FUTS) and Earth and Mix, who despite having a popular show found their footing much later). On the other hand, the chance to mix things up is important because getting stuck with someone and stagnating is bad. Singto for example did better as he started working with a variety of people. Nanon and Ohm were so well established even at the time of BB (both technically as actors and popularity-wise on their own, especially Nanon) that they don't have much of a reason to tie themselves together apart from the fan response.
But I think the overall the chemistry discussion ends up being clouded by how much people like the show and the characters and the meta fog around it. People in general don't tend to love a characters pair and then think the chemistry between the actors is bad or vice versa (though there are exceptions, particularly in the reverse department). The conversation around Ohm and Nanon seems to be highly influenced by external factors and the social implosion that happened. That said Ohm and Nanon are a pair that I think actively worked on making the on-screen chemistry happen and are good enough at acting to be successful; even from the start, back when it aired, I don't think they had natural chemistry. Ohm in particular has a easy presence that allows him to be successful in the chemistry department with a variety of people and I think that played a big role here.
You can tell when people are being tense or trying too hard--Perth and Chimon are the worst examples of it recently since the gap is so stark between their general acting skills and their pair chemistry. Even people who did a pretty good job together like Neo and Mark can show that tension. Natural chemistry is exceedingly rare and there are only a handful of people that I believe have had it. I won't mention who I think it is though.
Your observation about familiarity makes some very interesting points and the examples you mentioned are quite apt too, down to Singto who I agree I've really liked a lot more when he finally got to spread his wings!
Of course it's also very true that chemistry isn't necessarily an objective standard to judge, as different acting and directing choices will resonate differently with different people. As for Ohm and Nanon, yeah they're great actors to begin with - especially Ohm IMO - so as a result, it would be easier for them to develop a believable on screen chemistry. I'll say, tho, while I really liked Bad Buddy, I'm not the biggest Nanon fan and I wasn't particularly heartbroken about them not acting in BL together anymore.
When it comes to PerthChimon, as I've said before, I do think there was already improvement at the end of their show VS the beginning but we'll see where that takes them if anywhere at all! NeoMark should be in everything forever, while also getting a billion other roles individually. That's doable, right?
Now now, Anon, you can’t Ieave we hanging like that! You mentioned it, now you gotta name names.

currents.44/2023
selections from my week in media [29 october - 4 november 2023]
[anticipating]
Bake Me Please - I think Ohm is the only actor I'm familiar with in this, but that's enough.
"Effortless" by A.C.E. - Out of nowhere with new music? I think? Can't wait.
[listening]
Guilty / Taemin - He's done it again. Five stars all around.
"Stranger" / Sunmi
[reading]
Rest and Care series by meyari - MDZS au-canon divergence
Superman: The Harvests of Youth by Sina Grace
Tokens of Affection by HyacinthsSoul - 2 Moons, Ming/Kit
Truth Or Dare by their_dark_materials - Emmerdale teen slasher movie AU
[watching]
As Long As We Both Shall Live (My Happy Marriage) - Really enjoyed it. I didn't know it was fantasy, and that aspect was really interesting. So now I'm even more interested in watching the anime version. Also, the Meguro Ren of it all.
Happiness - Been saving a rewatch for Halloween week so it was finally time. I love it so much. And once again I tried to take notes, but ended up getting so engrossed I forgot. The last few episodes just fly by. It's great.
Laws of Attraction - It was miles better than I expected and now To Sir With Love has a lot more appeal. The characters had me hooked and made me want to draw out the episodes. Tankhao and Nawin both stole the show for me.
My Dear Gangster Oppa - The first two episodes were surprisingly good. Both of the lead actors seem to have improved since Ai Long Nhai. But with only eight episodes, it feels like they're taking too long getting to the meat of the conflict. That said, I did like getting to know the gaming group more and am glad they took the time to introduce them. (Loved how fast Pai clocked Tew's interest in Guy.)
Wolf Pack - Watched the first two episodes out of sheer curiosity and for Sarah Michelle Gellar. It's much gorier than I expected but the story has me interested so we'll likely finish it since it's so short.

MY TOP BL’S OF 2019 AND EARLIER
I decided to group all of the BL series I've watched from 2019 and prior together because there simply weren't enough. I decided just to go with 10 for this list cuz there were nowhere near enough series as there were for the other years. I love that BL series have really taken off and improved every single year! I just have so much fun watching them and I'm glad others feel the same.
1. TharnType [Thai] - Sexiest bl of all time? Possibly. At least in 2019 haha. A few others have risen to it's level now, but the first time I saw this it really blew me away. Yes, there are some major problematic elements in this series but imo mewgulfs chemistry and the drama more than makes up for it.
2. History 1-3 [Taiwan] - This is a fun series and definitely the best for Taiwan imo. I love that each series is so different from the others. My personal favorite is season 3, I loved both seasons that year. But I've found enjoyable things about all of them. I also love that Taiwan has a good mix of intimate scenes and moments but also longer episodes and different storylines. Just wish we had more from them.
3. Until We Meet Again [Thai] - This drama definitely has really slow and cheesey moments and I am not sure the supernatural storyline was for me but I still had a great time watching. The three pairings were all so different from one another. I like that it had a deeper storyline as well. Definitely memorable.
4. Love By Chance [Thai] - This is one of the "older" thai bl's but has such a unique flair to it and there's a very specific charm that drew me in. It was just well done and cute.
5. The Boy Next Door [Korean] - This was a series I just recently watched and it was very fun and cute. Can def. be seen as a "bromance" in parts but it still had romantic undertones. Not a lot of "intimate" moments here or anything and defintely more of a comedy but I liked how different it was and it was really easy to watch.
6. 3 Will Be Free [Thai] - The most "poly" bl series we've gotten yet. I loved the focus on all three of the mains and relationship between the three of them. I think the show could have gone a bit deeper with it, but I still loved watching this show and I liked the thriller sort of aspect to it, it was different.
7. Theory of Love [Thai] - For me this one started out really good and then got quite a bit draggy near the middle. When it switched POV'S I wasn't as into it and there was way too much crying and drama lmao. But, for a sort of trashy, classic, Thai bl series, it fits the bil.
8. Dark Blue and Moonlight [Thai] - This BL was a HOT MESS from start to finish. A bit odd and all over the place, yet somehow, I still really enjoyed watching it. It was kinda like a car crash you couldn't look away from lmao.
9. Kiss Me Series [Thai] - TBH I don't remember this series all that much and should prob. rewatch it at some point, but it's another fun classic thai bl series. I mostly skimmed it for TayNew tbh.
10. He’s Coming to Me [Thai] - Ghost storylines aren't really my thing but I did enjoy this series and I thought the chemistry between Singto and Ohm was sweet and the storyline was pretty unique.
Honorary Mentions:
Thai: Together With Me (Don't ermember much of this but gotta love MaxTul), WaterBoyy (My first "bl" experience with New+Earth wayyy back before I ever even knew what BL was), Sotus (Didn't enjoy this one as much as other people but it was okay.)
Taiwan: Red Balloon (Nice Taiwanese series, nothing super outstanding but decent.)
ANTI: ADDICTED. I cant tolerate the "love" this series gets... it depicts sexual assault in a romantic light. It's an absolute NO for me.

Random song recs: Thai edition
I can't stop thinking about @troubled-mind's music meme (#5qls) and decided I'd just … spam some more musical favourites that I've found because of Thai BL fandom -- because they're sung by actors I like, or featured in fan meets, or referenced on social media.
Nont Tanont: แน่ใจไหม (Are you sure?)
I'm perpetually surprised this hasn't made it into any GMMTV trailers or shows yet (as far as I can remember). Ballad, BANGER.
youtube
TaitosmitH: นักเลงเก่า (Old Thug)
This one was on this year's Love out Loud and I just really enjoyed it, what can I say?
youtube
Ohm Pawat: แค่คิดก็ผิดแล้ว (Unlovable)
This one's special to me for various reasons – I love the show it's for (10 Year's Ticket), I love how much Ohm's singing has improved (it really has – I had the opportunity to hear this performed live and can attest that it's not all autotune) … and I just really like it.
youtube
BOWKYLION: วาดไว้ (recall)
I've liked most of her songs I've heard and it's not really easy to pick one, but this is a) insanely popular and b) one of the first of hers I heard, so!
youtube
Joey Phuwasit: ดวงเดือน (Moon)
I don't quite remember where I first heard it, but I know it came on when I was sitting in a café in Phuket with friends while we were chatting with the owners while we waited for our laundry to complete its round in the dryer at the nearby laundromat. It's sweet and nostalgic and I love it lots.
youtube
Violette Wautier & Mew Suppasit: ก่อนรักกลายเป็นเกลียด (Before Love Becomes Hate)
I haven't had that much luck finding duets, oddly? but I really like this one.
youtube
Other bands and singers worth checking out: Bodyslam, Tattoo Colour, Mook Worranit, Three Man Down, LIPTA, Potato, LOSO, Big Ass, Milli, … do I need to mention Tilly Birds? I'm mentioning Tilly Birds.

Melcor AML-27 restoration/racking 1RU stereo preamp
yoyoyo i got something done! i’ve been stuck on this thing and put it on thr backburner like embarassingly long ago and just went thru and got it back up and working:
Melcor Electronics Corp. AML-27 preamp cards, which were made circa 1965-1969 were sold in this backplane format, ordered or installed with fixed gain they were part of the ‘big green machine’ recording console as well as made with the RCA logo and branding for the same 1731 op amp used on these circuit boards. The 1731 uses 9 transistors. Melcor Electronics Corp/MEC still exists, and they made industrial microwaves and peltier coolers and stuff. MEC sold/ended their audio equipment division in a way that gave rise to Automated Processes, Incorporated, API. They still exist making consoles, and may even still make this format of preamp/line amp cards for all I know. It is 300mm not 500mm though, smaller than the popular 500-series lunchbox format. Anywho, API redesigned this whole thing with improved everything. They came up with the 2520 discrete op amp, which has been made along with its subsequent revisions in later years and is still the backbone of API consoles and outboard gear. The 2520 uses 11-transistors.the 400-17 and 400-20 transformers MEC used would be replaced with the API 2622 and 2623’s on their model 312 mic preamp. Or just the 2623, in the case of the 325 line amp card.
The AML-27 is a perfectly imperfect circuit design, lovely in its time, and it balances all of its various imperfections nicely… nay in an electronic sense, it absolutely juggles the metallurgy (and limitations of the transformer designs), op amp instabilities, feedback, gain, distortion, and overall resonance to make a really awesome fat sound. Compared to the API mic pre, it is much more lows and more third harmonic distortion. The distortion also becomes pretty soft clipping in the high gain settings. The API 312’s feedback lends itself to a more midrangey overall preamp sound. The whole sound comparison just boils down to sounding like the late 60’s vs the API sounding like early 70’s circuits, i dont have much better way to describe it. I read on the now-renamed gearslutz that Melcor circuits are all over the Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention album Uncle Meat.
My pair of cards was likely parted out from one of these old MEC backplanes around 6-8 years ago. I have serial numbers 012 and 936, but I have no idea their history before me!
For my part, I removed a PCB card kit build in 2010 that I took apart to rack these up, so everything is sort of prototype quality to get them usable and make sure they work right. It has way too many screw holes and scratched up paint, sharpie, and all kind of mess but so far I recapped the electrolytics, matched the feedback and built Grayhill 1073 12-position rotary switches with 1% metal film resistors for the stepped gain control. It has Bourns output attenuators, 110% shielded pure copper twist wire on all the audio path connections with quad 26ga +/- conductor wires. DC supply is on solid 22ga copper throughout, but retains the original Melcor card power LC filter instead of the diodes that were common on the later API mic pre designs that were based on this. I really paid a lot of attention to grounding, shielding, and cable routing, but turns out I did a terrible job back when I first hooked up the audio lines and need to redo it while spacing the cards out evenly in the chassis.
I got these cards stable up to 65dB of gain! :D I have a plan to get the 70dB stable without having to flip 2 switches, but it will have to wait until I can change to a multigang rotary switch.
So far I’ve fixed the input impedance at 600-Ohms, but I installed switches that will allow for the 3-way 300-, 600-, 1200-Ohm input strapping; i still have to wire that up. There is also already functioning 180° phase reverse, -18dB pad, and 48v phantom power on the input line. In the spirit of the 60’s prototype feel, I just went with directly wired mini toggle bat switches.
The gain and output attenuation knobs are a repro RCA skirted pointer knob scaled down to an appropriate size. The chassis is a 1U Middle Atlantic 8” deep steel puppy I got at Randolph & Rice in 2009 or 10 for the kit build. RIP Randolph & Rice Electronics, I miss them every time I build a thing… I am probably going to paint this with the vintage Melcor logo and the logo silhouette repeated as the eye slit in a stencil and possibly rattle-can likeness of the Big Bad of Tolkien lore, Melkor, aka Morgoth. AFAIK nobody else has seized on the company having a Tolkien themed name in arting up any mic pre builds… does anybody have any good Melkor art they’d want hidden in my rack??
So next I have to polish up my racking Valley People mic preamps project, and build an RCA tube console mic preamp pair from scratch of cobbled together vintage parts and new components. I’m also going to turn an Olsen Color Organ deathtrap box into a multiband filter/EQ, and make a clone Audimation Corp. EQ in an original Audimation EQ rack chassis. haha my work is cut out for me… but the mic pre’s will fill out my setup with a pair or two of every decade of noteworthy and/or Nashville linked sounds. for the early 60’s: something like what was originally installed at RCA Studio B, for the late 60’s: these Melcors, for the 70’s: API 2098 console pre’s modded out to the max for what is in RCA studio B now, the 80’s: Valley People/1979 Loft Audio 800 Console MPA5 made hy Valley People in Nashville, for the 90’s and 00’s: i feel like everyone was using protools and mbox interfaces and stuff that kinda didnt have much of a sound so im throwing in MOTU and RME transformerless preamps, and for the 2010’s: Miktek MPA-201, assembled in Nashville version of a rack pair of 1073 mic preamps using correct NOS transistors with 6 AMI audio transformers, dual metering, and lit relay switches for all the controls. 70dB of clean gain. 🔥🔥 I can pretty much make a recording sound like any of those decades with what I have, or combine it all for a mix with all this richness and character of some sick sounding mic and preamp combinations to do all the hard work up front!

Has your PCB been malfunctioning for a while now? Now is the time for you to troubleshoot the problem in order to get it back to normal with its functionality. But how are you planning to do so?
Troubleshooting the PCB means extending the lifespan of the circuit. If you do it well, you can undoubtedly contribute to the overall improvement of your home’s electrical system. But since it is risky and also filled with lots of complications for a normal individual to get their hands on a PCB, it’s best to hire professionals offering control circuit board repair in Perth. They are qualified, trained, and experienced enough to perform this task in the best and most efficient manner possible.
Especially if the design of your circuit board has complex layouts, you should never try to get your hands on it, even for troubleshooting problems related to your PCB. It can be very difficult for you to get the job done, whereas it will be easy for a professional electrician. But if you want to try it out, consider going through the following tips for troubleshooting your PCB:
Mapping Out the Circuit Board
You can find a huge number of components connected to a circuit board through copper traces. You need to have the right diagram of the board to reach the PCB. But if you don’t have it, you should manually map it out by segregating every section. To do this, you need to have a good understanding of the schematics.
Visually Inspecting Surface Elements
If you see the generation of excessive heat from your circuit board, you should know that this is the biggest problem that causes it to fail. If you find that any of the components, solder joints, or traces are burned out, you can easily detect the root of the problem with no input power. But if the issues are not visible, you should use a magnifying glass or microscope.
Isolating Defective Components
Now is the time for you to isolate defective components. Inspect every component by setting an LCR meter to ohms and searching for defective components. Once you find them, isolate them the right way, or you can just hire professional electricians offering control circuit board repair in Perth to get everything handled and resolved in the best manner possible.
Troubleshooting your PCB may seem easy, but it is not. So, you should consider hiring the best electricians to get the job done. They are experienced and have the ultimate expertise to efficiently pull off this task. So, get in touch with them now and get started!

Sound quality and performance of Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F
Let’s move on to the most critical feature of any speaker: The quality of its sound. The Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F truly shines in this department, delivering an audio experience that is nothing short of extraordinary.
The speaker’s dynamic and detailed soundstage is a result of its dual 5.25-inch spun copper woofers. These woofers are designed to minimize distortion and provide deep, impactful bass. Whether you’re listening to a bass-heavy track or watching an action-packed movie, the RP Speaker-5000F reproduces low frequencies with remarkable precision and authority. But it’s not just the bass that impresses.
The RP Speaker-5000F also excels in the midrange, thanks to its 1-inch titanium LTS vented tweeter and hybrid Tractrix horn. Vocals and instruments are reproduced with exceptional clarity and accuracy, allowing you to hear every nuance and detail in your favorite songs.
The speaker’s wide dispersion ensures that the sound fills the room evenly, creating a truly immersive listening experience. The sound quality remains consistent regardless of how close or far away you are from the speaker.
Design and build of Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F
At 36.2×8.2×14.4 inches (HWD), the Klipsch RP-5000F is a medium-sized floor speaker. It’s not too big for a Klipsch floor-standing speaker. The 37-pound cabinet has a strong feel to it. This cabinet was made well.
The speaker stands on well-put-together feet made of cast metal. When I took these speakers out of the box and set them up, they didn’t bend or give. Given the price, it’s good that it’s built well. They look much better without their full-length mesh grills. The black-and-copper color scheme is a symbol. It looks expensive and makes a statement. But I just couldn’t say no.
In addition to its impressive performance, the Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F also boasts a sleek and elegant design. The speaker features a black polymer veneer finish that not only looks stylish but also helps to minimize resonance and improve sound quality. The MDF cabinet construction further enhances the speaker’s overall build quality.
The RP Speaker-5000F also comes with a grille that can be taken off to protect the drivers and show off the beautiful design of the speaker. The speaker will look fantastic with or without the grille, depending on your personal preference.
Comparison with other Speakers in the market
The Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F is an excellent speaker in its own right, but it’s helpful to evaluate it in relation to other options on the market.
In terms of sound quality, the RP Speaker-5000F competes favorably with other speakers in its price range. It’s an excellent choice for music lovers as well as fans of music due to its deep bass, delicate center, and crisp record-setting levels. It’s important to keep in mind that different speakers on the market can bring out sound in different ways. The Klipsch RP-5000F floor speaker sounds great for the price. Because it is so efficient, you can also get great, loud music without an amplifier. The bass is clear and strong in every genre I tried, making these speakers great for home parties and movie nights.
In terms of design, the RP Speaker-5000F holds its own. Its sleek and elegant appearance makes it a visually appealing choice, while its build quality ensures durability and longevity. However, some speakers in the market may offer more customization options in terms of finishes or grille colors.

Pros and Cons of Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F
To provide a comprehensive review, let’s highlight some of the pros and cons of the Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F:
Pros:
– Outstanding sound quality with powerful bass and detailed midrange – Sleek and elegant design that blends seamlessly with any decor – Excellent build quality and durability – Wide dispersion of sound for an immersive listening experience – Easy setup and customization options for personalized audio Cons: – May not offer the widest soundstage compared to some competitors – Limited customization options in terms of finishes and grille colors
Pricing and Availability of Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F
The Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F is priced competitively, considering its exceptional sound quality and build. It’s available for purchase on various online platforms and authorized retailers. The price may vary depending on the region and any ongoing promotions.
Officially, each Klipsch RP-5000F speaker costs $434, making a pair cost $868. However, I’ve seen them online for closer to $650, which is a great deal. I wouldn’t think twice about getting a pair for that price or close to it. But it’s closer to the official MSRP, so I might wait a little bit. There is more competition at the higher end of the price range, and there are a lot of other choices between $800 and $1200, like the Q Acoustic 3050i or the DALI Oberon 5, which is a recent favorite.
Klipsch RP-5000F vs. Dali Oberon 5
The DALI Oberon 5, a small Danish floor-standing speaker that you can see on Amazon, is another great choice. The Oberon 5 has the same sound as the Klipsch RP-5000F, but it is smaller and comes in more modern colors. In my opinion, the Oberon 5 had a better sound.
On a good day, the Oberon 5 costs $1100, so it can’t be compared to the Klipsch. For that price, you can get the 60-pound RP-8000F, which has two 8-inch copper cerametallic woofers. Your space and money budgets will decide.
Conclusion
I hope you like the information about the Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F, which is a true powerhouse in the world of audio. The speaker redefines what is possible in terms of sound quality, aesthetics, and functionality from a speaker. Whether you are a serious audiophile or simply respect sound quality, the RP Speaker-5000F will enhance your listening experience. From its crystal-clear highs to its thunderous bass, this speaker immerses you in a world of sound like never before. The Klipsch RP Speaker-5000F is an excellent choice if you want high-quality sound at a reasonable price. Prepare to be captivated by its audio excellence and embark on a journey of sonic bliss.
