78th Street Studios, located in Cleveland, is the largest art and design complex in Northeast Ohio. The building is home to several art galleries, artist studios, performance spaces, and businesses, and is a great place to see local art.
Tonight, 11/15, the complex and several of its creative spaces will be open from 5-9pm for its monthly Third Friday event.
Below are some selections from April of this year.

ART + ACTIVISM + ACTION
.
.
Thank you for the opportunity to showcase my art & hear my voice! @warholwallst @artmakescbus
.
As an artist it is our duty to document and create what we feel and see, what is inspiring us to create during this time period, the smell of popcorn on a game winning day. A beacon of hope in the most wretched of places, None is more powerful than the misery and disparity we turn into beauty.
.
.
Who, what, where inspires you?

The painting above is 3 Oracles, 2022, by Sayre Gomez, on view at Columbus Museum of Art. It is part of the exhibition New Encounters: Reframing the Contemporary Collection of the Columbus Museum of Art .
From the museum about the work-
Based in Los Angeles, Sayre Gomez often employs techniques borrowed from Hollywood set painting and commercial advertising to heighten the sense of lifelikeness in his paintings. In 3 Oracles, Gomez’s depiction of a vacant big-box store renders the shifting forces of the consumer economy in exacting, photo-realistic detail. The three appliance brands represented on the store’s façade, DieHard, Craftsman, and Kenmore, were all formerly owned by Sears Corporation, a retail giant that filed for bankruptcy in 2018.
Gomez recently co-curated the Feed the Streets Benefit Show at Sebastian Gladstone in Los Angeles. The opening is tomorrow evening (7/13) from 6-9pm and the exhibition will be on view until 8/3/24.
The group exhibition includes work by- Alfonso Gonzalez Jr. , Andrew Park, Bennet Schlesinger, Bryan Ruiz, Calvin Marcus, Chad Murray, Eddie Martinez, Emma McMillan, Evan Holloway, Greg Ito, G.V. Rodriguez, Jaime Muñoz, Jake Longstreth, Jonas Wood, Josh Smith, JPW3, Julia Yerger, Juliana Halpert, Justin Caguiat, Kalan Strauss, Mario Ayala, Max Hooper Schneider, Mungo Thomson, Nick Angelo, Nick Clark, Nihura Montiel, Richard Tinkler, Ryan Preciado, Sam Moyer, Sayre Gomez, Sterling Ruby, timo fahler, and Tristan Unrau.
All proceeds benefit Feed the Streets and their ongoing mission of colecting donated food, hygiene products, clothing, and educational items for hand to hand distribution in Los Angeles and New York. Feed the Streets also provides athletic and creative resources for underserved youth.

Felt like making a little random post to give your feeds a bright pop of colorful fun, and I hope you can take a moment to check out my art!
This is just a sampling of all the things I make for my art brand Schlady, which covers the whole spectrum of my colorful art & design work: original acrylic paintings, art prints, greeting cards, stickers, buttons, magnets, and more. As you can see, I care quite a bit about cats, landscapes, memes, and expressions of pride, and I love to make new & custom designs whenever I can.
I'm honored to be able to share my inspirations & expressions with those who enjoy living life just as colorfully as I do... thank you! I'm grateful for each & every reblog, customer, client, and stockist that keeps my art dream going strong. 🌈💜- Kelli

Someone help Starscream, Megatron took the braincell with him.
Tumblr media
The Decepticons may be a bunch of idiots, but they're his idiots (/affectionate).
The Decepticons are on earth mostly to look for the allspark, but Starscream and Lugnut are also very keen on finding any sign of Megatron. Preferably alive, but even a shell would give them some sort of closure that their leader isn't somewhere out there, waiting.
Blackarachnia is lurking around on earth, expanding on her research as much as she can with the technology she has to work with. Her greatest project was lost when Megatron fell, and it's hard to find the resources to try again. For now, she's returned to her techno-organic research while helping the rest of the cons with the allspark search, but progress is slow when she's so unique. And she'd never dream of subjecting another mech to her fate. It helps that Starscream is there to help out with her research. In the thick of the war, she almost forgot that he used to be a scientist.
Blitzwing and Lugnut spend a lot of time exploring the Earth, Blitzwing for the thrill of exploration and Lugnut for the sake of looking for clues about Megatron. As such, they are almost always the first to hear about any crises happening outside of Detroit, and will call the others for help with disaster relief. After all, the Decepticons were formed to fight for life and freedom, and that goes for organic life as well. Megatron would be so proud (and he is, later when the allspark key brings him back online in Sumdac's lab.)
Of the Decepticons, Lugnut and Blitzwing are the most knowledgeable about human culture. Blitzwing definitely annoys the hell out of Starscream with memes.
