aight i really don't feel like editing today so i'm just gonna give the unedited enyu thing for y'all :)
Tw: horror imagery
The warden took a swig from their glass of water, and turned their eyes back to their work, ignoring the slightly throbbing headache. It doesn’t matter.
Last time we went to get our daily check-up, Shidou told us to sleep, as we hadn’t slept in… a day? Yeah, that was a day ago. Hm… I don’t think that’s healthy. That was, what, yesterday? Hm…
They had whittled the two days away, only going for occasional breaks; they had requested more work, so they could be kept busy.
They had tried to sleep once in that period of time, and that hadn’t ended well.
Their rest probably lasted around 10 minutes, before they were promptly woken up by a nightmare. No way we should let that happen.
Jackalope didn’t seem opposed to the idea, as it would let him have less work. It was a win-win situation, because the more work they had, the less thinking they had to do.
However, the urge for sleep was pulling on them desperately. They didn’t remember the last time they sleep.
I suppose that I must, lest I randomly pass out. Again.
They sat up from the couch, setting their clipboard next to them.
They walked robotically to the bed, sloppily getting ready for bed and tucking themself under the sheets.
They decidedly didn’t look at the mirror while doing that, of course. We’re not an idiot.
They closed their eyes, but didn’t immediately fall asleep. It was ironic that they would be so tired yet not able to go to sleep.
They attempted sleep anyway.
That was idiotic of them.
After an indeterminable amount of time, they opened their eyes in their darkened room.
A feeling they were being watched clutched at their throat. No, that’s silly. Who would do that? Besides, we locked the door. There’s nobody in here, I’m- we’re just being paranoid.
However, out of some sort of twisted curiosity, they moved their eyes away from the ceiling..
A large black shape was in the middle of the room, slightly swaying.
They tried to get up, but couldn’t. Their body was immobilized by something. That shape wasn’t there before, oh god-
It started to float towards them, and it felt like their point of view shifted up. It slowly inched across the ground, two hanging limbs dragging across the ground.
Those are… those are feet, right?
They looked up, and a chunk of tangled golden-brown hair came from the head of the entity. It came to their bedside, and towered over them in the bed.
A cold sweat ran down their face, and they started to shiver. What? That’s-
Mahiru giggled, and they heard it. It was real.
But, she’s not alive, there’s no way this could be real.
Her hanging body resembled that of her boyfriends; an image subconsciously gifted to them by her MV.
A pale, ghostly hand reached toward their face, brushing their cheek. It felt so, so real.
They looked around the room, trying to find any way out, and ‘she’ started to hum her song. But, it was distorted, off key, and they started to try to cry.
It was a combination of fear and grief, but they couldn’t sob. They could never let it out, simply shaking and feeling the soft whisper of skin against their cheek.
Eventually, the sensation of the hand faded, and they woke with a start.
The first thing they did was scamper from under the bedsheet, as if it was the perpetrators of their distress.
They clutched their knees, and started to weakly sob. They didn’t have the energy or hydration, but they did have the raw emotion.
Oh god, and she seemed happy. That version of Mahiru was happy.
Right before she died, she was injured, and unhappy. She was faking happiness. I put her in such a state that she wanted this release. It’s my fault.
They clutched a pillow, and it simply deflated. I- I can’t do this anymore, but I can’t die.
I’m not going back to sleep. I’m not going back to sleep. I don’t want to see her again.
It’s all my fault.
It was dead quiet, excluding their own pathetic noises of fear and grief. They were so, so tired, but couldn’t go back to sleep.
They stared at some of the unfinished paperwork on the table. I’m having trouble thinking right now, but if I go back to sleep…
They let out another weak sob. I really don’t want to work… We’ve done that all day. But we should, shouldn’t we? It would take the pain away.
They kept clutching onto the pillow, but started to reassure themself of their authority, that it was all going to be okay, but it didn’t work.
The fear that Mahiru would pop up again, the monster would stare at them, remind them of their guilt. Why do I even see her as a monster? That’s horrible.
She just wanted to love people, and look at what we did to her.
The warden heard light footsteps, and hoped that whoever it was would open the door, check on them.
However, that hope was mixed with fear. But, we can’t let people see us like this. I-
They couldn’t repress their tears; not when there were so many. But, they did try to quiet them the best they could. It didn’t work; the attempt was half-hearted.
It was like a cry for help.
The footsteps stopped in front of their door.
Please. Please. But, they couldn’t directly admit it to themself.
They were relieved when they heard a knock on the door, and soon, an inquisitive head popped in. It’s Kotoko.
She’s going to see me like this. I’m not sure how to feel about this.
This is shameful. We can’t be doing this?
But, what do we have to lose? It feels like we won’t survive this any longer. We can’t.
That shut the warden up.
Will she protect me? She’s good with that, but my verdict’s ruined it all, as always.
She slowly stepped closer to them, but they didn’t protest. They were like an injured animal, though untrusting, had to rely on whoever’s around, no matter how they felt about that person.
They were somewhere else, staring at the spot where Mahiru appeared. Will she appear now? Kotoko will abandon me. Maybe she’s just here to admonish me or something.
I would deserve that. But, can the monster appear if she’s here? Am I at least slightly safer in her presence?
She approached their shaking form.
“How does this keep happening to you? Es, you should understand that you can’t keep this up.”
They shook their head, weak voice punctured by their gasping sobs, “But… Mahiru… she’ll come if I… if we try to… I can’t, I-”
The warden decided to stop their speaking before they revealed more weakness.
Kotoko stood over their curled-up, vulnerable form, eyes widened in a mix of anxiety and despair. The walls started to grow eyes, and they further curled into themself. “She, she’s, they’re all…”
Their cries came to be unapologetically louder than necessary, but she still didn’t save them.
Eventually, she overcame some of her own mental barriers, and scraped them off of their place of terror, up into her arms.
It was almost too easy, and they relaxed. She’ll protect me better than we can protect ourself.
She looked down on them. “Why did you do that?”
They passively looked at nothing, cries quieted now that they were safe. “We… we had to work.”
“That’s not helping anything, or anyone. You won’t be rational enough to decide life-changing verdicts. Idiot…”
Es looked ahead, at the eyes that watched them in the walls.
“If we do the work, the more time we do it the better. I don’t have to feel anything when I’m working. Besides, I’m not… I’m not the one that chooses the verdicts, anyways. We-, no, I don’t matter.” Their speech and filter were slurred on their tiredness.
Sleep started to overtake them. I don’t care if this is Kotoko, I’d rather pass out here than on the floor.
She tried to lightly shake them awake, but it was futile. “Wait, the verdicts what?”
They lost consciousness, finally not worrying about working.
I guess she knows now.
I’m not sure how we’re supposed to feel about that.
-
When the warden woke up, they were, of course, back in Shidou’s room. Why do we keep ending up here? This is bothersome, and-
They tried to get up, hazily registering their surroundings, but was stopped. They scowled at the offender, Kotoko, again.
She pushed them, slightly roughly, back down. They tried to resist, but she held them still.
“Es, stop that. You’re only going to hurt yourself more.”
They kept their angry face on, but blocked the light from reaching their tired eyes. This is humiliating. Why is she treating me like a child that can’t take care of themself?
We’re perfectly fine.
Another voice, Shidou Kirisaki, chimed in from the background. His voice sounded a little choked up. “You’re really worrying us, Es. I- please stop doing this.”
Why would they be worried? “Why?”
“Why, what?” Kotoko’s stricter tone of voice.
“Why do you even care? What we do is none of your business. Again, I’m the warden, you’re the prisoners, there’s no reason for this irrational behavior.”
That left the adults in silence, and they let their pounding head adjust to the light the best it could.
They stared over at the two adults, who seemed like an unlikely duo. Didn’t they hate each other last time we checked?
Well, I suppose the verdicts might have changed things. Maybe Kotoko has lost her big ego, good.
Kotoko looked like a mess, her usual hair slightly out of place, and restraints all messed up. Shidou, despite his innocent verdict, looked even more pathetic.
His eyes were puffy from crying, something the warden hadn’t seen much of, other than that one time. Ah, those tears are for Mahiru. That’s right.
The air was thick with tension. Shidou broke the silence. “Es, we care about you.”
That is an outright lie. Does he really care about ‘me’? Or his kids. “No, you don’t. Why would you? All I do is boss you around.”
Kotoko sighed. “Es. Listen. I understand where you’re coming from; I used to be like this, but it didn’t work out for me, you should know.
I wouldn’t want to lose you as a warden, despite- no, um, you’re an adequate warden. Your faith for your… cause, is admirable. I… I guess I don’t want to lose you.”
It must have taken a lot out of her to say that. Some of that seemed genuine, but…
The warden flicked their eyes over her vulnerable self, trying to justify her actions. Wait… The girl in her MV… Ah! I get it now. She just sees me as a weakling, a damsel in distress, out of her childish belief. That’s why she’s caring about me.
To her, we’re something to protect, out of a complex to make her feel better about herself. There’s no way she’d actually care for us. We can’t listen to her and feel vulnerable.
We were so pathetic last night. “I’m not falling for such a fragile pretense, Kotoko. You just see me like a weakling, like that girl, Keiko, was it? You’re no different than that man.”
They pointed at Shidou, who stared at them with a little heartbreak in his unc
This got straight to her heart, and she clenched her fist. “Stop that. That doesn’t matter. Caring about you aside, what about caring about your integrity as warden?”
This caught them off guard, as she brought up their own vulnerability, ignoring them. She’s bringing up the warden thing now. Are we going to survive this without having a mental breakdown?
That didn’t happen last time.
Yes, yes, we got this. Just ignore her words.
“You can’t be a good warden if you keep passing out like that. Even I slept when I was on the hunt; and I wasn’t the epitome of health. Shidou, you’re the health expert here.”
He cleared his throat. Are we just going to get scolded like this? “Alright, you’re 15, right?”
No response. Shidou continued on anyways. “I know full well you haven’t gotten nearly enough sleep in a while. Adults, yes, adults, can barely function on the amount of sleep you’ve been getting. And, you’re not even an adult.”
He shook his head, sighing. “You’ll do your work much faster on the highly recommended 8-10 hours.”
The warden detested this feeling, of being held down for something they knew full well was their fault, so they tried to avoid it. “I-”
Kotoko came to their defense, but also interrupted them, “In their defense… I don’t think their lack of sleep was fully their fault.”
Shidou turned to her, like a parent getting his authority questioned.
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure you were having nightmares, right?” Her tone was almost accusatory. This woman…
They stared between her and Shidou, classifying her as ‘insufferable’, the category in which Shidou and Amane already had an annual membership to.
Shidou’s anger melted, which was way worse than his previous anger. “Right… don’t you have to watch murder happen in front of your eyes? I mean, that would be nightmare material for anyone…”
The warden had no sensible defense for that, so they simply sat up while Kotoko was too off-guard to push them down and bunched themself together. “I don’t think that that’s any of your concern.”
“If that’s affecting your sleep quality, a small dose of sleep medication will really help, but… No, I suppose that the situation calls for it.”
I- no, we can’t accept anything non-essential from this man.
We’re losing ourself. We really need to get more sleep, but…
This is self-contradictory. How are we going to get out of this one?
The stress of the situation was unmanageable. But, I can’t rely on anyone. But, I’ll have to rely on someone if I can’t sleep.
Okay, but we can’t cry, too. It’s just what we have to do.
This is so stressful.
They teared up, despite their best wishes. We- I can’t do this anymore.
They started to sniffle, but couldn’t exactly stop their tears. They’re going to see us during the interrogation, and this is all they’re going to think about.
We’re so pathetic, Milgram should just replace-
No, no, what am I thinking? I- we can’t do any of that. We can’t think like that. We are no use to Milgram dead.
Surely if Milgram didn’t want us, they could just get rid of us. Like they did Mahiru’s body.
Her body was never in the garbage, so where else could she have gone.
So, Milgram must care somewhat for me. We’re useful.
No reason to be crying. We’re alright.
Shidou reached out to them, trying to pat them on the shoulder, and they slapped it, as harshly as it could. “Get away from us.”
The cycle restarted.
But, they couldn’t exactly leave. So, they simply hissed threats under their breath, to try their best to get the two interferences away from them.
They’re the causes of this inept weakness.
Kotoko sighed. “Jeez. Listen, we’re not going anywhere, and you can’t even do any lasting damage to us; calm down.” A little bit of bitterness slipped into her voice.
Shidou shook his head, trying to gently approach them, to wipe their tears. They hit him away, truly set off.
Their eyes drooped, but they forced them open. We’re in danger right now. These are murderers.
Though, they did know, deep down, we’re the only danger here, to ourself.
“Es, please, we can’t keep doing this.”
I’m the warden. We’re the warden. We’re the warden. “We’re the warden.” It was a hoarse whisper.
“Christ, they’re insane.” Kotoko looked mildly horrified. “This isn’t Es, isn’t it?”
The two adults stood on opposite sides of their bed, within hitting range, but their reactions were delayed.
The walls began to grow eyes, due to their sleep deprivation. They stared back, as if challenging the audience to question their authority.
The eyes started to close. They’re scared of me, aren’t they? They don’t like me, don’t they?
Will they stop watching now? If they don’t like us, we’ll be rejected as well.
Are we interesting? Are we good entertainment?
That’s our purpose, as the prison warden of Milgram.
They shoved and beat down their last shards of discontentment.
a/n: they literally can’t act tough anymore they’re so sleep deprived 💀#get this kid some therapy that’s not two adults with savior complexes PLEASE-

Real talk growing up watching media made me realize people with after school hobbies are stronger than anyone and this is why Yuno Kashiki tracks as dangerous to me. You cannot be out here underestimating the determination of a person willing to be somewhere more time than necessary.
You would not catch me dead at a school after the time it fucking closed when I was a student. Oh the bell hasn't rung yet why am I packing my bag because it's about to ring bitch and I'm going to leave when it does. That bell doesn't dismiss you- yes the fuck it does goodbye.
Mu's scary too she ain't even doing an extracurricular she's just on campus. You got me fucked up I want to go home what are you people doing why are we still here. People like that can do that shit more than all day and that's scary.
Going to school with milgram characters be like-
Haruka: He's leaving on time but got damn is he meandering a bit. Possibly gets lost in the school often or has to be told by teachers it's time to leave. May wind up spending his lunch in the library because the cafeteria is too loud. (Hey at least he's fucking leaving on time.)
Yuno: Sorry I have theatre practice. (Respectable but damn really? Sounds like a pain but as long as you're having fun.)
Futa: He is ditching college lectures like god intended bless him. (I'm ditching with him too fuck this if it's boring it's boring.)
Mu: Wanna hang out on campus after school. (Bitch why I don't want see anyone in school after it's over why are we still here??? Can't we go anywhere else are you cursing this place?)
Shidou: It's important to make sure you comprehend the material far in advance don't wait for the test to test your knowledge. Literally forms college study groups and gets really technical and intense about it but people learn so they show up. Teaches it like he's the teacher.
Mahiru: Wanna go hang out off campus today there are some good little known places nearby I've been dying to check out. Hosts study groups but it's at a different place every time and they turn more into hangouts than study session that wind up in a big cram session before each exam. Already grasps the material so she's not too concerned.
Kazui: He will borrow your notes and look at your homework. Pretends not to know much publicly but when he gives the notes back he's added corrections when asked about it lies and says someone else did that because he doesn't want to be bothered.
Amane: Leaves school on time has no choice to because she needs to get the bus home. Schedules extracurriculars to work around her traveling needs so stays for half of it or doesn't go at all. Tries to finish most class work early not the best at independent study.
Mikoto: Average student is personable but no one knows what the fuck he does outside of school or off campus. You see him there and nowhere else. Sometimes you accidentally run into him outside of those settings but he rarely notices you and keeps moving. The sort who probably had a part time job during his school days.
Kotoko: Similar to Shidou would form a study group but would be too critical and a bit demeaning about it like how do you not know this by now. Ultimately would get annoyed with everyone or people would stop showing up so she'd study alone. Hard to find off campus and not really sociable on it.

Order of Attack (part 4)
The second trial begins!
Warning: Jackalope is very callous about the prisoners' lives. Other than that, there's are descriptions of violence, injuries, and Amane's cult mindset.
Once again, I'm posting this ahead of the AO3 version, and I'll look over it again before I post there.
(Anything in the ellipses is pretty much the same as the original.)
Second trial commencement notice
Rise and shine, Es. So much within Milgram has changed since your little slumber. Allow me to enlighten you on what you missed around here. …
Prisoner No. 2: Yuno Kashiki
… With this verdict of “innocent”, she has tried to isolate herself. However, as cold as she may be, she checks on the “guilty” prisoners from time to time. Something about them must really strike a chord in her.
One fateful day, a certain Mahiru Shiina sought her out. And so, while the rest of the “innocent” prisoners were going around doing who-knows-what, Yuno was close enough to witness the attacks and call for help, keeping Mahiru away from harm while she was at it. She’s a hero. She’s not the most fond of the title and would rather stay away, but she’s not going to turn her back on a friend in need.
Frosty girls with a soft spot. I like- hey, don’t give me that glare.
Prisoner No. 3: Fuuta Kajiyama
Because he was found “guilty”, he’s lost that fire in his blood. Trapped in the never-ending darkness of his own guilt and regret, he wonders if he even deserves to live. A certain Amane Momose has been visiting him frequently, trying to help him out of this slump.
Huh, you’re surprised about how he looks? Oh, because you found Prisoner No. 10 Kotoko “innocent”, she went and attacked the guilty prisoners. Now Fuuta is broken in both body and mind. Fortunately, Shidou treated what he could, or else Fuuta would be dead. Lost.
But see if I care. It’s not like you showed him any mercy either.
Ever since the attacks, he’s gotten closer with Amane. That was bound to happen since she was the first witness. Let him lean on that kid, won’t you? What’s the worst that could happen?
...
Prisoner No. 5: Shidou Kirisaki
… He’s the one who treated Fuuta and Amane after the attacks. If not for him, they would both be dead. But they don’t seem to be particularly grateful. Their loss.
Prisoner No. 6: Mahiru Shiina
Because she was found “guilty”, she lives in a painful state of shattered norms. Looks like she’s going to have to rethink her definition of love a lot now, romantic or otherwise.
Thanks to some miraculous factors in play, she was able to avoid being attacked. But now she’s wracked with an intense survivor’s guilt. No matter how you slice it, she should’ve been attacked before Amane. Even so, she’s constantly looking over her shoulder, wondering if Kotoko will finish the job. Trapped between two turbulent states of mind. Is this what she deserves? Well, that’s for you to decide.
Prisoner No. 7: Kazui Mukuhara
… Regrettably, he arrived to late to save Fuuta and Amane from serious injuries, but he put an end to Kotoko’s attacks. Better late than never, am I right? Who knows how much more damage she could have caused if not for him?
Prisoner No. 8: Amane Momose
Because she was found “guilty”… no no, she hasn’t learned a thing, at least not in the way you intended. Especially after Kotoko’s attacks, Amane has only leaned into her faith more intensely. She’s gotten closer with Fuuta over their shared injuries. Also, she’s completely hostile to Shidou, going so far as to reject or sabotage his care at every opportunity. Something about his actions must really tick her off. That’s incredibly self-destructive of her. She knows she needs that treatment to survive, right? Well, it’s up to you to endorse her actions or not… whatever that means for you.
Prisoner No. 9: Mikoto Kayano
… He got into a real dogfight with Kotoko. In the midst of her attacks, no less. Who knows what he was up to, but you can’t deny that it was well-timed. If he wasn’t around, Amane would have sustained fatal injuries; even Shidou wouldn’t have been able to save her then.
Prisoner No. 10: Kotoko Yuzuriha
… Kotoko attacked three.
Prisoner No. 3: Fuuta Kajiyama. He’s severely injured. Bedridden. He would be dead if not for Shidou.
Prisnoer No. 8: Amane Momose. She has fewer injuries in comparison, but she would’ve been beyond saving if she sustained any more.
And lastly, Prisoner No. 9: Mikoto Kayano. They were evenly matched, and their fight was broken up by Kazui. Thanks to Mikoto’s spectacular timing, Amane was saved from further injury.
A strange order of attack, isn’t it? Well, that’s interpersonal dynamics in this prison for you.
…
And that’s all that happened within the prison thus far. It would do you well to keep in mind how the prisoners interact with each other when you make your judgments this time around. I’m counting on you, Es.
Let the second trial of Milgram begin.

I plan on writing a full post about I Love You but I hate people claiming that Mahiru is delusional or selfish. The first few moments of the MV is her getting off the carasel, the manifestation of her happy dream world, to go back to sleep. It's painted very clear that she understands the carasel is dilapated but continues to ride it because it provides her a sense of comfort.
Mahiru: "But I’ve made up my mind. I’ll properly convey my feelings too. He’s dead. It… it might have been because of my love."
I feel like people are ignoring that Mahiru blames herself for her boyfriend's suicide. She's not crazed or obsessed, she is coping by picturing an idyllic world where she and her boyfriend are safe. Even when she's riding the carasel, the hanged corspe of her boyfriend is revolving behind her in the back of her mind.
I should note that, personally, I'm in the camp that everything in the forest scene is literal. This is for two reasons:
As of now there hasn't been a character with two symbolic worlds in a single MV. There's only ever one world with fantastical elements (T2 Haruka and Shidou's home), or a metaphorical world and a real one (T1 Mu's hourglass / Her school).
Mahiru's crime took place in a forest as seen in Undercover. If it's a metaphorical forest then... why does he literally die in a forest?
Which brings us to the rat-feeding scene. It hasn't been said outright but in combination with saying she's "crazy" and therefore unforgivable, there's this implication that Mahiru desired feeding her boyfriend a dead rat. Even if you take this scene as metaphorical—Mahiru did not want to feed her boyfriend this rat!
"Saying I love you but doing what I did, I know I have no right, crossed and covered in sin My love, it scored an own goal, destroyed my love and me with its weight Tell me, oh tell me why, can’t I just do it right?"
You can clearly see her boyfriend is bleeding and dying from starvation. Mahiru is feeding him this rat because she wants to help her boyfriend to not fucking die. What an unforgivable act done out of selfishness...!
Even if you find this disgusting, Post-Mahiru lamenting on this literally says she had no right to behave this way and she destroyed her relationship. Combined with the glitched-out typography what makes you think she's doing this to get her kicks off or out of malice.
I feel like im going crazy here because why does she deserve to be die for committing the cardinal sin of being a bad girlfriend. She is already suicidal, her mental health is deteriorating, she has already suffered for the sins she's commited. She's constantly mischaracterized as some stalker or some yandere and I'm just so so so tired of it.
#I feel like im not being nuanced enough about her but augh!!!#SHE IS SOME GUY!!!! SHE IS A NORMAL PERSON!!!!!!!!!! LEAVE HER ALONE!! GET A JOB!!!#milgram#mahiru shiina#tw suicide#tw hanging#tw death#꒰ 🕊 ꒱ ── cinnamon lead astray

hi lee!!!! ummm thinking of interesting things and questions i just woke up hmm.. ok i’m curious about any of your ocs in like. a opddmh situation… like either they ran away or they’re the one like sheltering a younger dr participant. could be with another one of your ocs could be with a canon character.. are there any combinations there that would be interesting for you? hopefully this makes sense i’m still sort of asleep so i think i worded it sort of clunkily lol :) hope you get less bored soon!!!
OH MY GODDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD OH MY GOD!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! boredom cured forever and ever always and ever . you are the best for this one. wrote WAY too much hfjkdsgk
(opddmh refers to this fic btw!! this will make zero sense without context LMAO)
ill try to assign them a person and give them a bit of an arc i think.......... in other words ill try to map out what i would do with them if they were in the actual story as another pov >:))
billie: in my mind she is definitely one of the more obvious candidates for a story like this just because soooo much of her character depends on other people and how they influence her personality... and because of this there are a LOT of options regarding who could take her in. i would most likely write her arc around getting better rather than getting worse LMFAO which means a few people would get crossed off of the list right off the bat--- immediately coming to mind is the hiyoko/mahiru/ibuki gang for some reason. i think theres a lot to explore there !!! billie could definitely take influence from ibuki's style, her impressionability/mirroring of other people's personality could definitely lead to trouble around hiyoko considering they are both stressed out, mahiru would be in so much strife about suddenly getting shucked into this caretaker role she's been so adamant on escaping since her killing game and there would be a LOT of parallels to hiyoko there. especially since yknow. billie is copying hiyoko a bit. i can see those three taking in this moody ass teenager with so many illnesses. so many awful influences its great
erin: OK so i am going to assume this is a situation where every season 50 participant is 16-17 again in this hypothetical scenario where they run from the hospital LOL. dear god i can see erin SPRINTING away. im gonna give her to sayaka on this one hands down. sayaka finds erin dead at night just walking absolutely nowhere with this very disorienting smile on her face LMAOO. i think erin's arc in this story would absolutely benefit from somebody who is able to relate to her as a performer and somebody who has this "persona" they need to maintain. erin is such a huge personality and her whole crisis is so huge that her guardian definitely needs to mirror her and learn from her or else they'll get a bit washed away i reckon ghdfksjghfdkjg. i can see the sayaka+erin pairing SO clearly too... like this is a sayaka who has been performing this character for years, probably to the extent where she hardly realises it anymore. throwing erin in with her, a teenage girl with identity issues that managed to actually go through with a plan that sayaka had during HER killing game .....Oughg. i can see them getting so stressed out by each other and i can see them getting just so sad at everything theyve lost
mika: hmmmmmmmm. mika is definitely one of the more practical characters and i dont think she would be hit as TERRIBLY hard as her classmates with the whole "we aren't real" thing. in fact there might even be a bit of relief from it at first. like...... youre telling me one of my biggest insecurities isnt even real because ultimate talents dont even really exist??? AND i dont have to get locked into one interest my entire life??? she's absolutelyyy traumatised and fucked up however i don't really think she'd leave that hospital in the first place LMFAO, i think she's smart enough to realise she doesnt stand much of a shot against team dr. if she made it out she would get paired up with another one of her classmates (like a ryoma+rantaro situation) anddddddddd hm. hm hm. imposter could be very very interesting. here is somebody that is constantly changing, never set in stone, and here is a teenage girl who is stubborn in her own reality and has come to realise her place in life a WHILE ago
naomi: this scenario is so so funny because it implies that somebody CAUGHT her hgfkdghfkdgkjfhgsdkl. there's not a doubt in my mind that she went sprinting out those doors the second she woke up from the simulator but naomi has always been a character with one foot out the door ready to leave. NEVER in one spot. especially in a postgame scenario, where she is extremely traumatised and honestly experiencing psychosis, it's hard to imagine her willingly going home with a stranger.... i think her scenario would DEFINITELY be a bit unconventional, with her constantly leaving and returning. akanes arc to the extreme HFGKGJ. i'll treat this as if naomi would be added to the existing narrative, meaning whoever her "guardian" is can't be EXTREMELY similar to akane so the whole "running away" theme would come second to themes of culpability and punishment i think. she would benefit from having somebody that also felt immeasurably guilty hmmmmmm. i can honestly see hajime. he's already busy as hell with everything he has to do for team dr, only to have to take time out of his day to help this tall ass teenager. their meet would have to be REAL unconventional in order for naomi to have stopped enough for him to help her lmao. as in "she ran out in the middle of the road in the middle of the night during some kind of panicked haze and he very nearly ran her over" type of unconventional. he patched her up, gave her some water and she was GONE. and then she comes back two days later like Heyyy 😍 So about that Guilt
rie: first things first i would throw her with ryobe hands down HGDFK. the amount of hijinks those two could get up to. fantastic. they would really benefit from having each other around and their friendship could be beautiful and real. with that being said these two are definitely a bit more difficult to pair with people just because immediately they have similar arcs to erin and naomi with both of them having difficulty accepting their identities and (ESPECIALLY RYOBE HERE) dealing with punishment/culpability. they would also need more than one guardian i think........ just for ryobe alone LMFAO. i reckon a few season one people could know about them tbh. for the most part they stay with aoi and her kid, which opens up a LOT of interesting avenues concerning whether rie and ryobe should leave for the sake of the kid's safety!! aoi and rie would pretty easily get along, especially if they both kinda keep each other at arms length with their people pleasing personalities they've accumulated over the years (aoi having developed it during her time as a team dr spokewoman). and then one day rie gets caught in complete distress and aoi realises "Oh Huh y'know what maybe this constant stress to perform under threat of violence against both me and my family isn't Healthy" and they both start trying to have more fun. go to the beach or smth. aoi swims for the first time in AGES and she has a total blast
ryobe: soooooooo fucked up postgame and would definitely stress aoi and rie out further without a doubt ghfdskg!! especially so close to the reveal that everything isnt real ryobe would definitely be in complete denial angie style. but more in a "hahahahahaha none of that actually happened!!! that was my brain playing tricks on me and actually i can hardly remember it anyways now that i think about it!!!!! this is definitely because it WASN'T real and NOT because my body is trying to protect me against everything that happened to me". he just reverts back to this goofy guy who always seems like he's on the verge of SOME kind of breakdown, and rie would be no help to him in those first few days, likely going as far as to AFFIRM nothing happened just to keep him from running off without her. i can see aoi bringing in some help for him--- it would probably be another survivor and i can REALLY imagine the dynamic between him and toko. komaru loves him but toko HATES his annoying ass ghfdkjghsdfkghgfjkdsg. they would definitely have a looooooong chat at some point that sends ryobe on the right track. also side note ryobe would be fantastic with aoi's kid however he would definitely teach that toddler a bunch of stupid pranks
sae: so sae is 34 which means she would definitely be the guardian in this scenario gdfjkg so it comes down to which v3 kid would make for an interesting parallel hmmmm hm hm.... immediately coming to mind is kaito. i can see himiko joining him potentially. sae is somebody who has trained herself to be extremely patient and believes anger to be a weakness of sorts. enter kaito who believes the only "strong" emotion he can convey right now is anger because he would be DAMNED if he started crying about that killing game gfhsdjgk. they'd have a lottt to learn from each other, and i think the entire scenario would definitely push sae to a lot of her limits. i mentioned himiko just because her arc of emotional repression could be a mirror to sae possibly, but because this is a postgame scenario i think himiko would be SO absolutely fixated on being seen as useful and helpful and energetic that she throws herself into whatever work sae can give her. and of course sae the workaholic has a lot of work to give her LMFAO. they pass out at the same time
yoshito: similar to mika it's hard to imagine him leaving the simulator just because he is the protagonist and they'd be keeping an eye on him however if he DID. he would need somebody who is constantly in his ear like Aren't you mad .....Don't you want to go apeshit ......mondo and leon are coming to mind. they're really teaching that kid how to let loose. shatter some glass, go fucking wild!!!! and while we're at it, let's all examine how our reckless behaviour might be a method of self harm we have developed for ourselves after our killing game but make sure not to tell the kid ok. make sure nobody tells yoshito, who has been trained on helping people his entire life and just needs to think about himself for ONCE
andi: hhehehehhehehehheh. computer thang. even though she is ageless there is no universe where she becomes a guardian and it's really really funny to think that somebody grabbed her computer chip and ran. i think it HAS to be chihiro. something fantastic and vaguely homosexual going on there
#THANK YOU LILYYYYYYYYYYY MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH MWAH KISSES YOU MWAH#I HOPE YOU GET LESS SLEEPY SOON <3#SORRY IF SOME OF THIS MAKES NO SENSE#ask lee#lottiematthewsgirl#dr: 50th#oc: sae#oc: billie#oc: andi#opddmh

Fic author interview!
tagged by @carriagelamp and immediately interested in doing it after seeing the questions
tagging people who will be mentioned at question 12 alongside @mickeymagpie @unexbellexreverie and @booksandberries
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
112 surprisingly!
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
235,399 words which is actually lower than i expected it kinda annoys me
3. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
if i didn't delete my rise of the brave tangled dragons and my voltron fics it would be them but i did. i deleted them. now my top 5 are all bsd fics
A Good Enough Reason to Keep Meeting Up (1,055 kudos) is part of Stray Gods series where the supernaturals are all real and Abilities came from them. This specific fic is about Chuuya and Atsushi's budding relationship. Or rather Chuuya's budding crush on Atsushi with malnourishment and chronic pain as the vessel to get there.
Money Makes the World Go Round (939 kudos) BSDxOuran crossover that is part of a collection of crossover fics about Atsushi attending high schools from different fandoms in order to attain the qualifications to enjoy the employment benefits his workplace has to offer. You can tell I'm old when that's my worldbuilding for writing high school AU
Moral Compass (923 kudos) the first installment of the Stray Gods series set post Dead Apple where unlocking his repressed memories about Shibusawa let the actual god Byakko to finally communicate with his Champion.
Delicate Job (791 kudos) A case fic written to explore Atsushi's role as a detective and how he would handle a case while prioritizing the victim's feelings unlike popular depictions of detectives where they use facts and logic to trample over people because the authors think that's what makes intelligent people cool
The God of Destruction Wished For Naught (752 kudos) the third installment of Stray Gods and a continuation of A Good Reason to Keep Meeting Up where Chuuya's body is falling apart, which could lead to Yokohama's destruction via blackhole, forcing Atsushi to make connections with the Port Mafia
I was a bit disappointed at first that my most kudos'd fic hasn't broken 2k kudos yet but seeing how my top 5 fics don't have a huge disparity between the amount of kudos makes me happy
4. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
yes! i don't always know how to reply but i especially makes the effort for people who leaves paragraphs on my fic. sometimes if i know the commenter i just reply on their discord lmao
5. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
oh that's hard. i have a lot of oneshots that are basically "and so, the cycle of suffering repeats yet again" and you'd think it would be the servampxbnha crossover where despite mahiru's best attempt to help deku get into UA even without a quirk so he will let go of his self-hatred for being born quirkless, in the end he receives One For All from All Might, undoing all the works mahiru-sensei has done to help deku but NO it's a bsd fic again that embodies this concept in the worst way possible as it's revealed that the event that happened in canon timeline was kickstarted by post-beast!atsushi who copes for his feelings for beast!dazai (both affection and hatred) by writing numerous worlds into existence to prove that dazai is a good man all along
wait. no. actually. the persona 5 fic where the phantom thieves deal with goro's sacrifice might be angstier considering this line
Akechi Goro was the only murder they ever committed, and in the years that follow never once would his name ever passed their lips. But he would always be at the edge of their vision, a ghost that they could never speak to.
or the birthday fic i wrote for the hunt twins where oz killed ewan who crawled back out of the cauldron to re-sacrifice himself so patchman won't survive???
or the big hero 6 fic where people are holding a funeral for personal health companion robots who carried a bunch of people out of a burning building??? repeating the word "Tadashi is Here" to people who never knew the man to comfort the terrified humans?
or the ben 10 fic where ben accidentally used too much force in his alien form resulting in his first murder and then repressing the memory??
it's impossible to make me choose
6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?
d-do i have a happy ending posted
actually im choosing the dragon age fic where cole accidentally made him saving the inquisitor from the envy demon sounds sexual which leads to hilarious results
7. Do you write crossovers?
yes and my non-crossover fics are actually stealth crossovers
8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
i dont remember ever getting one
10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
this is the question that actually made me want to do this interview. SO. be kiddie yarra during ff.net era. i was writing persona 4 fic where naoto says goodbye to souji. it was romantic. someone left a comment on my fic saying my writing got stolen and linked me to a naruto fic which made me go??? huh??? and turns out it was Word By Word the same fic but with souji being replaced as naruto, naoto as hinata, and the train station into konoha gate. it was insane.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
not on AO3 i think?? someone DID contact me to ask for my permission to translate my fic to russian but i don't remember the details
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
stray gods is written alongside @faerynova while @katzkinder helped with children's war. oh and also the Not Posted smtiva series written with @gothamcityneedsme
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
impossible to choose but i can tell you the very specific criterias that attract me to my ships if you want
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
usually when i abandon a fic i lose interest in it altogether
15. What are your writing strengths?
my bsd x ouran fic has been complimented as staying true to the characters even though im throwing ouran into a serious series like bsd and vice versa so i like to think it's my ability to keep the core of the characters true even when putting them in a different AU unrelated to canon. also writing convoluted political struggles that makes sense.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
grammar. but apparetly im also somehow better than a lot of native english speakers???
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
im writing in english, arent i? (lol)
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
persona 4. it was an talkshow styled interview fic
19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?
don't have one as far as i can think of. i guess i want to write more of "how to make my notp make sense" and "characterxreader fic that doesn't sacrifice canon characterization" as a challenge for myself
20. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
the hope chapter of Despair (and Hope) because i had fun writing mahiru fixing mikuni through a persona 5 palace-like challenges except with zero fighting and more puzzle-solving

Q&A: Makoto and shuichi, I have a question both of you are studly boys right? So how did the competition between the two of you go of how many girls from class 77 did you steal from Hajime's "Harem"
(This is the better Question, just ignored the other one I mixed up class 79 and 77 hehe)
Makoto chuckled good naturally as Shuichi sulked. “I think it went pretty well- for me at least.”
Shuchi looked away, crossing his arms. “I still think that a rematch is in order.”
Makoto patted Shuichi’s back comfortingly. “It’s no big deal, Shuichi! You still have a lot to learn, which is why you should’ve thought twice before challenging your senpai. But don’t worry! You started off pretty well, going after Peko right off the bat! You broke her pretty easily and you were hoping to use her muscle to help you get more girls, right?”
Shuichi blushed. “Well, you can see how that plan worked out. It was a stupid idea in the first place-”
“No, you’re wrong, Shuichi! It was a great idea, I’m telling you. You have real potential for these things! You just miscalculated when picking your second target.” Makoto finished, smiling broadly.
Shuichi winced. “I thought dealing with Tenko would have prepared me for Akane, but…” He shook his head, let down. “I think my hips are still pulverized. That girl’s a beast.”
Makoto laughed. “That she is. Once Akane’s got a grip on you, she won’t let you go until she’s fully satisfied, and that can take hours. She kept you occupied so long I had free reign on the rest of the class! Meaning the final score was 2 (Peko and Akane) to 6 (Chiaki, Sonia, Mahiru, Hiyoko, Mikan, and Ibuki). I even had time to go after bonus points like Natsumi and Chisa-sensei before you finally managed to limp out of Akane’s room!”
Shuichi sighed, before smiling wryly. “I guess I really still have a lot to learn. But I won’t lose next year!” He declared, standing tall.
Makoto blinked, before smiling. “Oh? You want to make this a yearly tradition? I guess there will be a new class of students at Hope’s Peak next year… But if you think I’m just going to give up all those girls to you, then you’re dead wrong~” Makoto said, lightly ribbing Shuichi, who scoffed, though he was still smiling.
“You won’t have a chance to give up what you never had.”
Makoto laughed. “Guess I better watch out then!”
And with a firm handshake, both boys went their separate ways, taking with them their newly acquired sluts, and completely forgetting about Hajime himself, who was left to deal with the fallout.

More Protag!Nagito lore, cuz I just can't stop myself lol.
Something that was never really addressed much about the DR1 cast is how they're kind of international celebrities due to the Killing Game being televised. So like imagine the reactions of Class 77 to discovering that there are in-universe memes of them (and their deceased friends). I've got this mental image in my head of a scene where Nagito gets stuck in a vent and his classmates can't help but snicker (or ogle a bit) at his ass dangling out. And then they discover that he has one of the most memed asses in internet history. And then there'd be all the fanfics and fanart...
Hiyoko: "Oh great, as if I didn't have enough pervs to worry about...The fuck?! Why is Nagito the 'most shipped with' of us? And why is Pigbarf my second most popular ship?"
Mikan: "S-s-sorry!!!"
Nagito: "I...I'm the what now?"
Kazuichi: "Jesus, there's a lot. Some people just have no tas...Oh come on! You're MY second most popular?!"
Sonia: "Huzzah, Gundham! By country statistics you are considered 'Best Boy' in my homeland."
Gundham: "Hah! Such is the will of causality."
Mikan: "H-h-how many does Nagito have?"
Mahiru: "Um...wow. Over 11,000 and counting. You're pretty popular with him at close to 1000. So's Kazuichi. Er...(Mahiru blushes)...and me too."
Nagito (1000 yard stare): "Is this real life?"
Mahiru: "Oh geez, and that's to say nothing of all the poly fics. And his most popular with him is...um, it's Chiaki."
Suddenly all seven survivors look a bit glum.
This is canon in some alternative universe. Like this is just what the fandom would actually look like. You've manged to access a different timeline with your third eye.
But also *cries at the komanami 😭💔*
I'm just visualizing a situation now where in they save a group of people while still part of future foundation and someone in the crowd points at Nagito and says "OH MY GOD IT'S MY BABY GIRL! WE'RE KIN!" and Nagito just stares back like "All my relatives are dead though."
Kazuichi: "Baby girl???"

Also imagine the trio ending up in the grand meetup of the other Komas and their ship clubs. And because he's a protagonist in his verse, and has so much ship teasing going on with like a quarter of the cast, Protag!Nagito has doppelgangers on all sides insisting that he join their club.
Matsukoma Nagito: "You're not one of those Mikan-loving Komaedas, are you? There's only one truly worthwhile medical partner. Even if he's dead in your verse, Yasuke is irreplaceable."
Protag!Nagito: "Now wait just a minute! I'll have you know that Mikan is a lovely person, and a very dear-"
Komamiki Nagito: "ONE OF US! HE'S ONE OF US!"
Protag!Nagito: "Wait, wait! I didn't say that-"
Matsukoma Nagito: "You didn't say that you weren't either. Well?"
Protag!Nagito: "I...But..."
Roulette Nagito: "Hold the phone! We saw footage of that hotbaths scene with Gudham. You seemed to be quite enjoying yourself there."
Protag!Nagito: "I was just really happy to be included as one of the guys!"
Soumaeda Nagito: "Kaz was there too!"
Roulette Nagito: "...What if he's in a poly relationship with Gundham AND Kaz?"
Soumaeda Nagito: "Ooh! I don't think we've had that combo yet. Or maybe with Gundham, Kaz, AND Sonia. He seems to get along very well with her too."
Protag!Nagito: "What?! No, you've got it all...I mean..."
Komazumi Nagito: "Oh come on. We've seen you've had some cute bonding moments with Mahiru. No one can smile quite the way she does. And those freckles!"
Protag!Nagito: "Mahiru...is important to me. But this is all so very sudden!"
Komanami Nagito: "NO! Stay loyal to Chiaki to the very end! Even if it means waiting until the next life!"
Protag!Nagito: "Aargh! Leave me alone!"
All the while main Nagito and Nagiko are just laughing in the background eating popcorn. Just to be clear I treat main Nagito and Protag!Nagito's OTP as "Insert preferred ship here". It could be Komahina. Or it could be something as wild as a resurrected cyborg Yasuke for the Matsukoma diehards.
I do also have this one idea I've mused about for Nagiko's flings. Generally speaking she actually doesn't hold the many Kamukuras of the multiverse in high regard. Feeling that the novelty wears off fast, as once you've met one Kamukura, you've met most of them. Channeling Stillwell from the comic The Boys and thinking like "What have you thought of to do that the lowest speck of humanity couldn't, were they to be granted your level of power?". Being especially unimpressed by the ones that try to assuage their boredom by joining Junko or doing something else she considers equally dull and unproductive.
But there are exceptions to that. Like one Natsumizuru that she took a fondness to. Who had a bit more of a spark in her than a lot of other Kamukuras did, and channeled her talents in more productive ways to stave off boredom. I have this one mental image of Nagiko trolling main Fuyuhiko by not-so-subtly implying she had a thing going on with an alternate superhuman version of his sister. Being all like "Man she was rough, if I didn't have a reinforced skeleton that girl would have demolished my spine."
Komas unite for real HAHAHA, EXACTLY like, the protagonist always gets the best ships in this franchise!! I can't even pick a favorite Saihara ship- I have like 4 favorites?!?!
Nahh Koma's not gonna defend her- I WILL DEFEND HER!! WHADDYA SAY TO MIKAN PUNK?! hehe, Go Yasuke lol, YEAH TELL EM PROTAG- ONE OF US AHZDVA IM DYING HAHAHAHA THIS IS HILARIOUS!! Y'all calm down maybe he's a Matsukomamiki something haha!! YOOOO HE'S EXPOSED 💀💀💀💀 GET EM GUYSSSS‼️🗣️ AND KAZUICHI WAS THERE TOO!?!? EXPLAIN YOURSELF BWAHAHAGA

Since polyships are on the table... 🍑 Mahiru/Hiyoko/Ibuki or 🍑 Mahiru/Sato/Hiyoko (I have a feeling this one will go horribly, as I tend to headcanon Hiyoko as being very jealous of Mahiru's affection towards Sato; both Sato and Hiyoko are definitely in love with Mahiru meanwhile can't stand each other. I imagine Sato also dislikes Hiyoko because she reminds her of Natsumi - however fair or unfair that comparison is, I definitely feel like Sato has a hatred of bullies. Meanwhile I think Hiyoko would have a soft spot for Ibuki; she would at first try very hard to push her away and prod at insecurities, but once that failed I could see them getting close. Plus, Hiyoko is attracted to kindness - something that she sees in both Hajime (platonically) and Mahiru, which makes her have a soft spot for them - and underneath her jokey-ness, Ibuki is very kind. And I don't even have to explain why Mahiru/Hiyoko works in this equation, lmao - Ibuki/Mahiru is probably the relationship between the three I've put the least thought in, but, I feel like they'd be amicable.)
Also, my Natsumi rarepairs.... 🍑 Chiaki/Natsumi and 🍑 Mikan/Natsumi... I know they don't interact but Chiaki and Natsumi are very much foils for each other & how they affect Hajime, so I think its a damn shame they never interact... plus Mikan/Natsumi would be so tragic.... finding your girlfriend dead... realizing your friend, Sato, killed her..... selling Sato out to your dead girlfriends brother.... Mahiru having such a favorable view of Sato and negative view of Natsumi & Mikan having the reverse.... the biased narration of Mikan (and Mahiru too).... the thought of my girlfriend was nice to me, a real angel, so she COULDN'T have been bullying you.... and then a year later, meeting a demon in the form of Junko Enoshima, who reminds you so much of your dead girlfriend, who tells you that Hope's Peak is corrupt, didn't look into her death to avoid a scandal with the reserve course so the funding to their pet project doesn't get shut down... and you're angry, you're so angry, that was your girlfriend and they don't even care.... why not let the devil tempt you into revenge? Don't they deserve it? I am so crazy about Natsumi/Mikan and NO ONE is tapping into their potential, the only fics on it on ao3 are my own.... I adore them 😭
I've been holding onto this ask because part of me doesn't even want to touch on a response so it can just stand alone as a testament to the ships. I LOVE seeing people talk about their rarepairs, absolutely fuck yes. Please don't think I'm ignoring you when I'm brief or my thoughts differ from yours because this RULES.
Mahiru/Hiyoko/Ibuki: Neat! Every dynamic in here is fucking stellar. I definitely also think this is a ship that centers on Hiyoko, which in and of itself is sort of fun. Danganronpa fans HATE her. But women LOVE her 😏
Mahiru/Hiyoko/Sato: Basically Canon. I'm biased about this because Mahiru/Sato is my real True SDR2 OTP and I consider both it and Mahiyoko to be Basically Canon on their own. But ALL TOGETHER. BOTH IN LOVE WITH MAHIRU. You know that tumblr post that's like "superhero and supervillain but theyre both friends with the same civilian so when their buddy invites them all out together as civilians they just have to silently seethe at each other across the table"? Yeah
Chiaki/Natsumi: Fine. This. And I'm going to be exposing a lot of things about myself as a person here so everyone just be cool. This is a kismesistude. And I will leave it at that.
Mikan/Natsumi: HELL YEAH. This might only appeal to a niche audience but hear me out, okay. You know yakuza mangas that are like. Oh No I Am A Sad Abused Young Woman/Twink Who Has Been Sold To/Become The Caretaker Of A Child In/Married Into/Reincarnated Into/Otherwise Somehow Become Involved In The Yakuza! im so frightened! what does this mean yakuza want with me!! a heart of gold?! could it be??? oh but because of my abuse i feel like i dont deserve this but through this yakuzas unrelenting instant love for me and very violent vengeance upon my abusers and also some gang drama to force us into compromising situations will i be forced to learn self esteem through the power of love?? THATS WHAT I WANT FROM THEM. THATS THE AU IVE WRITTEN IN MY HEAD. AND ALSO WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND AU

hello it's me again!! I have calmed down from my shock (it lasted for five hours) and now it's time for me to discuss three little details I have yet to seen discussed that much (either small or big)!
be wary! A couple images down is a photo of mahiru's boyfriend hanging, I put everything under the cut just in case ^^
Detail 1:
Mahiru must have been copying her boyfriend's actions and going a little further. I already saw a post about this, but the amount of cake when her boyfriend gives her the cake compared to hers is much less.
(Boyfriend's on the left, Mahiru's on the right)
Another thing is Mahiru's boyfriend waking her up. Like, you can see she's falling asleep and then
Compare this to:
So, she must be copying what he's doing (and I think someone said that she did it because she wanted to cheer her boyfriend up like when he did that for her.)
Detail 2!
Sorry for the really bad arrow, but I need an explanation for that red stain. It's clearly not dirt, as dirt seems to be the little scratches on their clothing.
But, it appears so much throughout this part of the mv, take a look:
(You can barely see it, it's underneath the lyrics.)
Once again, barely visible, just take a look right underneath that little folded coat part.
It's much visible in this scene.
Anyways, I need to know about this little detail. My eyes are directed immediately to the center of the screen and all I see is that stain. It can't be shading, the shading is an entirely different color.
The only thing is that uh... it doesn't appear on his dead body.
(Oh my ducking God I did not just make this look like a long guy pls why)
I used an invert filter on ibis and there wasn't any different color where I saw the stain. Very confused, where did it go?
Does this mean the boyfriend died a different time? This stain better not be the crux of a verdict I'll lose it /j
Final Detail!
The food.
We know Mahiru's in the exact same clothes as Day 16 (if this is wrong, correct me).
Someone mentioned in a YouTube comment if this food was actually real and I don't wanna say anything on that because it's possible they could've become homeless and stayed in their clothes.
But, if we assume it's on the same day, why is Mahiru's boyfriend starving?

It's been a good while since the end of trial two and a lot has changed in the fandom overall. Even more will change over the course of trial three. I think in this area of uncertainty and impatience it's easy to forget everything that transpired.
Admittedly I'm kind of proud of my growth over this period of time and how the experience has impacted how I interact with fandom and the internet overall.
Not to sound incredibly old fashioned but I think there's still much to unpack from trial two before heading into trial three. So, the down time between the end of trial report and now has been greatly appreciated.
A lot happened.
Haruka's broken 50/50 as people highlighted the risks of him remaining unrestrained not only to himself but others.
People stating that anyone voting Yuno guilty was a pro-life conservative, politicizing her trial as pro-life pro-choice debate. Even going as far to state that Milgram was a sexist series for including her at all.
Futa's was just funny because it was a bold faced admission by the audience that they were in fact too much like Futa to properly judge him. Amongst other things.
Mu's trial was a bunch of people politicizing it in the opposite direction using a bunch of right wing buzzwords like calling it fake news, for some reason bringing race into it from headcanoning her victim as half black, then victim blaming like her victim attacked first so she deserved to die.
Shidou well fuck we need a doctor so go off king. Like it wasn't even about him it was about Mahiru I know who I really cared about here. I couldn't give one singular fuck about Shidou even now. Oh he might hurt Kotoko I don't give a fuck if he does his doctor role what he does in his off time is his business. Nobody was thinking oh my god what about the harm the guy with the medical degree can do to others here when they voted him innocent nobody cared. Like honestly he has a medical degree he can do a lot of harm but that wasn't our problem or main concern.
Mahiru ah see he hung himself and he's probably a cheater anyway. Yes some people thought it was justified to drive a man to suicide for being unfaithful. That was a weird hill for some people to build a house on but they did. I don't know a lot of people just conveniently forgot women cheat and can be abusers as well. I don't know how some forgot that but I wish I were them.
Kazui the guilty shrine- seriously a shrine? Really... Oh also men shouldn't be allowed to get divorces because it makes women look bad. Isn't that what abusive husbands were saying when women wanted divorce rights and fought for things like no fault divorce wild. No one was thinking there yeah go on cook me nothing that would be better than the poison you're trying to disguise as feminism. It'd be less detrimental too.
Amane's second trial really was like,
"Sure her mom kills cats and beats children but we can't forget she's a cult survivor too and being a parent is hard."
Bro as someone with an abusive single mom who did some shit and went through some shit um no that's not an excuse. You can't just go parenting is hard get me my taser or my childhood was hard too it's my turn to beat kids. Like not tobring up Oshi No Ko again but the Amane trial really was just chapter 141 to me in real time (read it because that got messy later in).
"She had to live through the cult too. She was having a hard time as well what about her upbringing? Do you know how hard it is to raise a child by oneself."
Her husband was at work not dead what the fuck did y'all mean by this???
What were these takes? Nobodies trauma gives them a free pass to traumatize others- wait we'll get to you hold up put those dogs back where they came from! She's a single mom of one girl meanwhile the woman with two sons and an absent doctor husband. Not doing any of this shit. She was my rock Shidou says fully meaning it. Yuno mom two kids haven't heard a word about her killing cats or beating kids. Wild it's like it's pretty easy to choose not to do the things she did. Every other shit parent here did decide to be shitty Amane's mom included.
Mikoto oh suddenly your trauma does excuse how you responded to a situation. Work hard, such sad boy. Yeah I can believe the stigmatized version of dissociative identity disorder in this one niche situation. Japan is so backwards of course they'd still write it like this they don't know any better. So, of course the other alter is the evil one and Mikoto is still the goodest of boys- Also dissociative identity disorder isn't real unless you have a certain number of alters that act x specific way that's why there has to be this many.
With a tiny hint of if the child is guilty let's just kill this man too~
Fuck Mikoto he's had it too good. Bitch could have went home in fact we see him do it in the video! Where the fuck was Amane gonna go the streets?! We saw how that worked out in her video. Snitch ass streets, if these streets could talk- Don't worry with snitch advisory they can even if you don't want them to!
Kotoko well if you think she's bad then you don't have real trauma. Also grooming can only be sexual actually I heard the term from twitter and never looked into the act of doing this ever outside of that context. God don't even ask me to define groom as a verb.
So on and so forth. It's been a lot and this all just shit I personally experienced.
Trial two showed us one of the worst aspects of humanity,
Our ability as people to use our own experiences as the blueprint for all life.
Our stubborn commitment to seeing something only one way. Because that's always been how we've seen it. That's always been how it was. Milgram trial two and the audience for better or worse put the definition of closed-mindedness on full display.
Regardless of how inclusive, progressive, or forward thinking people believed themselves to be in the moment. We saw what a commitment to only one way of thinking could cause and who it ends up hurting. I think trial two can teach people that even the most progressive leaning individuals can cause harm.
Even those who want to support marginalized individuals or are marginalized themselves are capable of causing harm. Because when we convince ourselves that the only voice that matters is our own we silence, belittle, and ignore the experiences of those around us. It doesn't matter what politically correct framing a person attributes to their belief if one is being closed-minded it will still harm others and the movement they're purporting to care about.
It will more than likely do more harm to the people one is attempting to help the most whether that is themselves or others. That's the only thing being closed-minded can do.

I was just rewatching the Undercover MV and noticed something. So y’know those images that appear right before Mikoto and Kotoko’s lines? So there’s 10 images, so each obviously correlates to a prisoner. I assumed they would have something to do with each character’s murder, but now I think it’s something much deeper. I think it’s something like their last moments before being transported into Milgram? Or possibly something like their victim’s last moments or smth?? Lemme go through them real quick.
This one is obviously Haruka. The toy blocks and blue kinda give it away, but we also see him sleeping with the bunny at some point. Could be something like he’s alone in his room when he’s taken to Milgram?
I think this one’s Kotoko, based mainly on the hair (the little bangs Kotoko has). She was probably walking in an alley when she was transported to Milgram.
Ok I think this one is Yuno, mainly because of the skirt and she’s really the only girl with long hair. Not sure where she is or what’s going on, but it looks like she’s distressed (for obvious reasons).
Here’s where I’m kinda lost. When I first saw this, I was like “Oh Kazui, he’s like an officer worker.” But then I looked closer and the back of their head did NOT look like Kazui. So I thought maybe Mikoto…? Either way, they were probably taken while doing overtime or smth.
Ok we get absolutely no defining features in this one. I wanna say Fuuta, cuz he’s the only one we’ve seen take photos lol. Also red phone… red hair..? But also I swear this image was in Kotoko’s MV… so idk…
This one is why I wondered if it was the victim’s last moments. Someone lying down, seemingly in discomfort/ pain. It’s outside, and the person seems to maybe have shorter hair. Other than that, zilch.
Again, one I think could be a victim. I’m thinking Muu’s victim, as we see her in a classroom many times. Still, idk.
Not sure what’s happening here. I think that there maybe could be medical supplies in this photo, so that’d mean Shidou. But it’s also like… what’s even happening??
Genuinely no clue. I can’t make out the outline bc of the glitching white, and all I can tell is that they’re on the ground. It looks like the pose Muu makes after stabbing the girl, but idkk
The entwined hands makes me think of love, so Mahiru. The problem is… this is clearly outside. So what does any of this mean?? Is that supposed to be her holding hands with a dead body? Highly unlikely.
If anyone has ANY answers, I beg of you, help!!

Call of The Night Volume 12: Not Your Average Night
You know what Call of The Night is? A damn good series, that's what. Transitioning from a desire to be a vampire that sparks a romance, to kickass vampire fights, it seamlessly moves between the two thanks to its rock solid core in its exploration of characters and how the "Night" and vampires have affected their lives.
Right away, we stick close to home with Anko's investigation of Mahiru. Not a real surprise, but I really like how they contextualize it through a nonverbal fashion before Anko puts it into words.
Mahiru doesn't have a home to return to, he doesn't have someone waiting for him at home. It's not just that his brother's dead, it's that Mahiru's still alive. It's a great piece, and really explains just how losing that coping mechanism he has in Kiku has thrown him off the deep end.
Also, just commenting on it now because it will continue on later, Kotoyama's paneling is really great. You might think, "oh, it's just rectangles, it's nothing special.", and you'd be partially correct. Plain old rectangles is nothing special. What is though, is how they use them. How they frame things with that limited space and ratio, and how they use it to sell movement and emotion. Panel one, Anko is stewing over what it is she just came across. Panel two, it's her coming to the conclusion that she defeatedly states with the third panel. It's really great stuff that tells an effective (and pretty) story, even if confined by standard limitations.
One more also. Man, Kotoyama's use of that skewed FOV is amazing with the vampires. It adds a degree of separation in comparison to humans, and kicks the style up a notch. It makes it feel wider, faster, like the pace of the world itself changes in the presence of a vampire.
So anyways, this dude shows up to knock Nazuna and Ko on their asses and run off with Anko and Akira in tow, and Ko isn't having any of it. Nothing really special, but I just love how they go through the trouble of setting up the vampire to question if Ko's human, and then show that in the heat of things he's grown fangs in his pursuit.
The chase continues for a bit, Ko's powers wane, and things overall mellow out enough for Nazuna to make a surprise attack so that Anko can question the glasses man.
I really liked this part, mostly because of how it challenges the concept of how someone turns into a vampire and how Kiku sees humans. Azami explains his backstory of how he was a gangster, and that he had originally died attempting to save Kiku from getting killed. Blah blah blah, what's interesting is that Azami never states that he had any explicit "love" for Kiku. All he ever says was that his boss said to treat Kiku like a sister. And to make things even more complicated, Azami wakes up to Kiku telling him this.
Kiku believes, that because Azami stood in front of her to take a bullet, that he loves her. A completely baseless conjecture. So what does this tell us? At least one thing, maybe two. The potential options are this: the definition for love isn't just romantic, or that love isn't fully required from both sides. I think it's a really interesting reveal. Either, because Azami viewed her as a sibling and shared that form of love with her, he was able to turn, or because Kiku truly believed Azami loved her he could turn.
Whatever the outcome, it's a great piece in further understanding what it is Kiku seeks out from humans and love. Ever searching for someone that makes her feel more than the previous person. Someone that will devote themselves to her, be hers. But when the playing field levels out and those feelings weaken, she's gone to the wind.
Anyways, as Anakin once said, "This is where the real fun begins". Anko's little chat with Azami is interrupted by a very scary (but equally cute) vampire with a vengeance. And man, vampire combat is so cool. That blown perspective and the space afforded to the scenes really sells the pace and power of vampires. And the posing? Flawless, the personality that drips from the nonchalant stances mixed with intense acrobatics is so good.
Even through this kickass stuff though, we don't lose sight of what it is this story stands for. Human-Vampire vs Vampire-Human, it exposes the different approaches and methods of each, and how humanity can slip from your fingertips if you're not careful. The fresh challenger stating that they'll kill both Kiku and Anko because of the trouble caused, while Azami refuses the deaths of either. I really like it, it doesn't bury the responses or approaches under an essay on morality, but rather builds upon what we know of each character. We've gotten time with Azami, we've seen how they act and what their story is, so being sympathetic and understanding of their side makes sense. The challenger here, on the other hand, is far more foreign and opaque, so she comes off even more disconnected and apathatic.
Anyways, Azami inevitably loses against this overpowered vamp, and she begins to track down Nazuna and co, producing this really fun sequence. Nothing too crazy, but I just love how they use the pages here.
Enough waffling, onto vampire Ko! Nazuna, well, she gets yeeted, and that pisses off Ko. So much so to the point that he's able to phase through a whole bunch of floors to make it up to the roof of the building like it was nothing. He surprises this vampire to no end, even when his arm's taken off. Yeah, you read that right. His arm gets ripped off, and it gets real. Regular Ko with a bit of blood or a gunshot? Pretty damn strong and quick. Already half vampire Ko getting his arm taken off? That power level's over 9000, easy.
Now, you're probably thinking, "aw man this is no fun, why is Ko so overpowered now?". Allow me to answer. There's lots of reasons why, actually. There's so little we know about vampires that there's not a surefire response. Could it be because of the half human in Ko? Could it be because Nazuna was born a vampire? Could it be her lineage from her mother? Could it be a form of multiplication in regards to his bloodlust? Could it be that Ko's feelings for Nazuna are that strong and that directly influences a vampire's abilities in the moment? As I said, lots of potential reasons, and I think all of them are very interesting. There's a huge amount of mystery surrounding vampires, and with this type of progression it seems we're aimed at finding out more about them.
So yeah, Call of The Night 12, a story and volume I would have never seen coming from even the first three volumes of Call of The Night. Kotoyama's running wild with this series, and it's paying off in spades. Incredible how fluid and malleable the surface of this story has been while preserving its core of exploring the people of the night and how they choose to live their lives.

Let’s see the biggest plot twist in history.
*gets up* And that's the end of the film, well Mahiru... does that answer all your questions?
O-Oh...Oh my... Oh my goodness, this is... this is a lot to process...!
So if I'm understanding this right; Chiaki isn't real, she's an AI made by Chihiro Fujisaki the Ultimate Programmer and that was Alter Ego and we were in the Neo World Program which Chiaki and Usami are overseer AI, which there's a tragedy...
And excluding you along with Masuyo and Hotaru; we are Ultimate Despair that sided with Junko and Hajime is Izuru Kamukura, the Ultimate Hope and Future Foundation wants us dead and they saw the whole killing game? And the only reason we are alive right is because of Makoto Naegi, Kyoko Kirigiri, Byakuya Togami and you and now Future Foundation is doing a investigation...?
Th-This is way too much, there's no way this is real, this feels like fiction from a story book! I mean, you can't be serious, right?! I...I would never kill or hurt anyone!
Well sadly to break to you but it is, that is the truth and your eye and your camera had photos in it to show that yes; this is all real.
This... geez, this is a lot to take in, I just...I...I just can't believe I would hurt people...
*Holds Mahiru as she cries on her shoulder while she rubs her back* ...
