I think its funny that the Scarecrow keeps showing up in Batman villain team-ups because I honestly think he causes more problems than he solves for everyone involved.

Couldn't figure out which versions of these characters to use so I just mashed stuff together.

Danny glared at Scarecrow man from the corner of his play table in the living room pt 3 by emacrow/creator

Stabbing his orange colored playdoh shaped scarecrow with his plastic fork as he stared hard at the sweating bullet Johnathan Crane, who was sitting in the dark purple couch with Lilith making drinks in the kitchen behind.

He could feel the dark energy radicating off this little toddler with the glowing eyes, teeth looking a bit too sharp as the kid stabbed the playdoh repeatedly.

"My mommy." Growled the possibility of a long lost distant related demon brat Robin.

Meeting the demonic toddler once more after 2 months after the wedding with his legs barely able to walk like a goddamm baby lamb toward the kitchen while Lilith looking more refreshed, moving easily the he was.

"You leave like the rest of them after I'm through with you, in the dirt."

That child is a dangerous little monster under an angelic face that can trick Lilith with how this kid attempted to have him killed on multiple occasions.

"She not your mommy."

Don't even get him started on the forever frozen icicles in the shower that almost killed him, fucking tiny plastic sword trap the kid's closet that was sharpen to almost stabbed him in the gut when he opened it to put away the brat's toys or the fake tantrum to scream so loud that his eardrums nearly went deaf.

"You don't deserve mummy."

Kid had a vendetta over him, just even being 3 feet close to Lilith without him death glaring him like a vengeful spirit.

The staring contest only lasted for a few seconds when Lilith came out of the kitchen with her favorite medieval mug of tea, a cup full of coffee with three drops of honey for him, and planet designed sippy cup full of hot chocolate and side of marshmallows for Danny.

That brat's evil face suddenly switched like a god damn switch, eyes sparkling with that gaping tooth smile staring at Lilith like she brought the moon itself to him, kissing her cheek with a soft giggle.

"Thank you, mummy." He said, sipping his sippy cup, his little feet swinging back and forth.

Lilith doesn't realize she was fooled by that demon in disguised.

Well, at least he got one thing on his side, which was the dark massive horse that lived in the backyard of Lilith home in the stable house. Nightmare was her name, and she was obsessed with him and scarecrow masks, probably due to the fear toxin residue.

Lilith had a stern talking to that stalker horse after he almost freaked out, seeing that horse somehow in his part of the closet trying to steak his ninth spare scarecrow outfit again to hoard in the stable right when he tried to get ready for the meeting, dragging Jonathan back to Lilith's house by his jacket.

He has evil plans to do goddammit!

It was like being set on fire from the inside out. ♥

He wasn't particularly conscious, he'd lost a lot of blood beforehand, even outside of the amnesia au I doubt he'd really remember it. maybe just the impressions of green and burning. He was already in so much pain that at first he didn't even recognize what was happening, his broken ribs and bleeding guts indistinguishable from the sparks spreading somewhere deep inside him, his barely conscious brain only fixated on the single thought that he was going to die soon, and it would be alone.

It wasn't until the spell ate his lungs into straw that he started to thrash, a weak and exhausted visceral reaction as his throat spasmed for air, only to find more straw in his mouth instead. Straw sprouted out through the gashes in his skin and where broken bone met air as the fire began to creep outward, eating away at skin and leaving something unfamiliar in its wake, burning away everything else. Inescapable fire was eating him alive and spitting out a mockery of his body until finally, whatever part that tells him he needs to breath is eaten too, and the relief is so absolute that he passes out.

Civilian Gothamites realizing they can get vengeance through Sword!Robin

Gothamites figuring out if they happen to mention a rogue treating animals poorly within hearing range of sword!Robin that rogue will be in custody with at least four fractures and a concussion and Damian being completely aware that like 63% of these people are lying but it’s the only way he can get experience with the nonlethal takedowns he’s experimenting with bc everyone keeps complaining about how he treats his opponents and allies 

Like he’s guiding a civilian to safety and they mention that “this would be the worst thing to happen to me today if riddler didn’t stab my fucking cat” and this civilian does not own a cat but they did own a car that was just paid off but riddler fucking crushed it with a stupid ass hot air balloon that’s shaped like a fucking question mark and Damian is aware of this bc he was the one that verified the insurance claim (but he’s been looking for a reason to punch Nygma in the throat since his last Arkham escape when he called Damian a moron)

And he also knows that if he plays along with it and says ‘as if I’d let that gaudy and tactless imbecile get away with committing such atrocities’ when prompted that he’ll get away with barely a slap on the wrist like he gets three half hearted but long lectures he’s not going to listen to and an online sensitivity training seminar he goads Tim into completing (Damian and Tim 100% try to trick each other into doing work they don’t want to do and full heartedly believe the other has no idea what they’re doing)

Bruce’s tendency for finding small crashouts at risk of becoming future rogues in Gotham and deciding they need love & supervision but what actually happens bc he’s so fucking awkward is they get almost the same amount of supervision just with like an hour of intense helicopter parenting a week but honestly besides that they just have more money and resources to do fuck shit

Prompt 72

 Crane is getting desperate. No matter how much he tries to offset it with human food, his stomach continues to feel like a ravenous void. His hands are shaking, vision just as shaky as he tries to continue the delicate process of creating his toxin, even though he knew it wasn’t going to work. 

 The last seven batches hadn’t had an effect, even as he made them stronger and stronger. He’s getting desperate, feeling more like a starved animal than a man of science. 

 His throat is dry and scratchy despite him just drinking water, and his fangs easily cause his lips to bleed as he bites at them nervously. He taps his claws impatiently at the table, nausea sweeping over his head for a moment before his vision righted itself while waiting for the fear toxin to finish. 

 It doesn’t work. It doesn’t work. It’s strong enough to nearly kill anyone else but it does nothing and he’s going to starve. He was in that damn asylum for too long, and he’s going to die and he doesn’t want to- 

 He’s long since stopped being able to feel fear but at that moment he could almost swear he still could.

Liminal Scarecrow

I see a lot of Scarecrow in DCxDP, usually as a plot device in tandem with his fear gas. And honestly, I’ll accept just about anything with a Scarecrow mention in it. However, there is one thing I doubt a lot of DCxDP fans know about from the DP side, which is the Scarebeast.

The Scarebeast is what was created when the Penguin decided to experiment on Scarecrow, essentially turning him into a living weapon.

It’s a giant monster that naturally produces fear gas in its body, and Scarecrow can only return to human form once the Scarebeast has been defeated.

I think that the Scarecrow could easily be a liminal of some sort, and the Scarebeast could be a manifestation of ghostly power.

Now, it should be noted that Scarecrow (to my knowledge) hasn’t died and been revived. He also hasn’t used the Lazarus pits. He gets beaten to hell and back on a regular basis, but he never actually dies.

However, we know that you don’t necessarily have to die to become a halfa. Vlad didn’t; instead, he was shot in the face with ectoplasmic energy by the malfunctioning proto-portal.

Also, we were never told exactly how the Scarebeast was created. Sure, we know that one of the Penguin’s scientists mutated him into existence, but we don’t know exactly what she used.

It’s not really so much of a stretch to think that he could have been exposed to some form of ectoplasm in order to stabilize or power his monstrous form, and as such became liminal (or a halfa).

Hell, all the other (canon) halfas in existence were created in a lab setting! Danny was mutated by ectoplasm and electricity when the portal opened, Vlad was blasted in the face by the previous portal, and Dani/Ellie was a clone.

Basically, give Scarecrow cool ghost privileges. He’s already got the creepy aesthetic. It’s what he deserves.

I need Btaa scarecrow to say precisely those lines now because he is essentially Cillian crow just fan fitted to be more accurate.
