The space odyssey series certainly was a ride. There’s a lot of great elements to it and some… not so much. A good deal, especially in later books, becomes a bunch of real weird and specific stuff either he’s horny about and … if I have to be scarred so do you.

Some of this is just funny/specific and not “bad” weird, will specify.

I love in Different Beast they emphasize “Odysseus” in a way that also feels like it could be just a call out to the translation of his name “to be hated by many” at the very end.

'The Apollo 13 command/service Module (CSM-109), lunar module (LM-7), prepared and wrapped before being moved to the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) for mating with its Saturn V. The Apollo 13/Saturn V 'stack' was moved from the VAB to Pad 39A on December 15, 1969. An overhead crane within the Manned Spacecraft Operations Building moves the Apollo 13 spacecraft stack from a workstand to a transporter in preparation for the five-mile-trip to the Vehicle Assembly Building. The mated command and service modules and the lunar module, housed within the protective adapter, will be mated to a Saturn V launch vehicle within the VAB's High Bay 1."
