2024 cross stitch round up!

This year has been one of my best for cross stitch, I certainly feel like I’ve accomplished a lot!

While I only stitched 32 of the jobs this year, those 32 finished the collection which I started back in 2021. Half might still need to be mounted in my scrapbook, but I’m super proud to have finally finished them!

Not only did I stitch Dolcinaea this year, but I charted her too. She might have been a nightmare, but I learned a lot and am so happy with the result!

This year was also my first time stitching on plastic canvas. I still can’t decide if I love it or hate it, but the Stardew sign was an unexpected challenge this year and I love the result! Can’t wait until it’s up with its display in a few months…

And of course the Link to the Past map. I’ve completed 4 3/4 pages in amongst everything else this year, which is way more than I thought! I hope to finish it in 2025…

I also finished little projects like gifts for my friends and family and the Octopath 2 secret job icons:

On top of all this, I’ve also made progress on so many charts. Including decoding to take on Octopath 1’s bosses as my next big challenge. Maybe I’ll finish Galdera’s chart this coming year? (I probably won’t.)

Ultimately, this post is for me. To show myself just how much I’ve accomplished cross stitch wise this year, and to prove to myself it’s one of my best cross stitch years.

Between uni, graduate job hunting and a sick family member, I have a gut feeling 2025 is going to be a rough year for me. I might end up seeking escape in my other hobbies, but I know I’ll keep stitching, if only the LTTP map. So, updates might be infrequent next year, but I’ll still be stitching.

So they updated Octopath Traveler II with a new mode, called Extra Battles.

I thought "Hey, I fought Galdera and won, and I set everyone back to roughly the way I wanted them. Let's see them!"

My reactions?

I am both ecstatic to see they brought back the Travelers from Octo 1 and gave you a rematch fight with Vide, but- HOLY FUCKING SHIT
