Intérimaire de l'inconnu

Introduction

Cid avait suivi à la lettre les instructions, trouvées après des heures de recherches intensives sur les forums occultes et obscurs d'internet. Il avait entendu parler de la rumeur par bouche à oreille et même s'il n’était pas convaincu de sa véracité, il avait besoin d'argent. Le jeune homme était prêt à tenter sa chance… il ne risquait rien à essayer, au moins.

1. Installer une application de réseau social, peu importe lequel, sur laquelle vous n'avez jamais créé ou utilisé de compte personnel.

2. Ne pas ouvrir l'application tout de suite.

3. Déplacer l'application sur votre écran d'accueil de smartphone, sur un panneau sans application ou widgets. La déposer le plus en bas à gauche possible.

4. Attendre 3 jours. Au bout du 3ème jour, entre 0h57 et 1h du matin, ouvrir l'application. Ne rien toucher et retourner sur l'écran d'accueil.

5. Changer son fond d'écran par l'image en lien à la fin des instructions.

6. Retourner sur l'application (toute l'interface aura changé mais cela est normal) et créer un nouveau compte, sous le nom de :

7. Répondre aux questions qui s'afficheront sur l'écran avec une totale honnêteté. Tout mensonge déclenchera la fermeture de l'application et la destruction de votre smartphone.

8. Valider le compte. Vous avez réussi. Vous êtes libre de changer à nouveau le fond d'écran mais nous recommandons de laisser l'application à son emplacement.

9. La moindre désinstallation de l'application entraînera la suppression de votre compte, il vous faudra donc recommencer la procédure depuis le début. Les questions personnelles seront très différentes la prochaine fois que vous re-créerez un compte, et la procédure plus dangereuse pour vous... à vos risques et périls.

À sa grande surprise, l'application de réseau social avec sa note de musique blanche sur fond noire qu'il avait choisi avait entièrement changé. Elle affichait désormais un grand point d'interrogation violet sur un fond sombre, dont la couleur semblait ne jamais vraiment être définissable et stable. Il avait répondu à toutes les questions demandées à la création de compte, même si certaines l'avaient mis extrêmement mal à l'aise. Des questions générales sur son identité, son adresse, son numéro de téléphone mais aussi sur ses peurs et cauchemars, ou encore la couleur de son œil gauche. La question la plus surprenante restait celle qui lui demandait ce qu'il préférait entre perdre un doigt ou tous les ongles de sa main droite. Cid espérait que cela ne reste qu'hypothétique mais...

Qui sait les risques que l'on prend quand on décide de travailler au sein de l'Inconnu... tout ce qui est indéfinissable, occulte ou tout simplement inexplicable. À partir des bribes d'information qu'il avait rassemblé, le jeune homme se faisait une idée vague de ce que l'application allait lui proposer : des jobs étranges, des petits boulots incongrus, parfois bizarres, parfois dangereux, mais toujours bien payés. Il n’était pas obligé d'accepter toutes les opportunités proposées, mais il savait qu’il devait accepter au moins un travail tous les six mois, sous peine de voir son compte désactivé. Le jeune homme espérait tout de même que les offres d'emploi seraient plus régulières que ça. Il n'avait pas vraiment le choix, il était prêt à accepter n'importe quoi : lorsque l'on a de bonnes raisons, le jeu en vaut la chandelle.

Les mains légèrement tremblantes, la boule au ventre, Cid appuya sur l'onglet : offres d'emploi, qui affichait déjà plusieurs notifications…
