In honor of me getting my first ever TMNT Comic,

here's Leo with a crush who gets overly excited when gifted something they're obsessed/hyperfixated with (cough definitely not me cough)

while I did buy the comic for myself (it was an Eastman and Laird's TMNT adventure special) I wanted to explore this more because my brain is way too active and i need an outlet lol

Saw something he thought you'd like while on patrol,

"Hey guys, you think they'll like this?" He looks throught the window.

They snicker and shit on him (lovingly in a sibling way)

Whether it was a poster or figurine or comic, he's getting that baby just for you

Obviously he'd get it by paying because stealing would be wrong.

And by paying he means snatching it in the middle of the night and leaving a twenty with an apology note

Hops up to your apartment,

(with his brothers watching from the shadows because they absolutely cannot resist a good show. yes, even Donnie; like a true hypocrite)

He makes sure that neither your parents are there with you and he knocks on the window

You, with your ultra smart brain, immediately knew it was him because it was either that or a murderer that climbed up to specifically your window to murder you

which was unlikely, but hey, so was being friends with a giant turtle

You open your window and are immediately greeted with a shiny (not-so-brand new) comic/poster/figurine of the thing you talked about nonstop for weeks. maybe months. actually now that you think about it it mightve been year—

"Hey."

"Wh-"

"No way. NO WAY." You take it out of his hands (gently) and look at it in awe, before looking up at him with a dazzled expression

"What- Where- Dude. Where'd you even find this?!" A wide grin on your face as you look at him.

"Oh y'know.. Patrol and fighting bad guys, awesome stuff. Uh, then, y'know.. I found some merch that I thought you'd like."

"Dude he's seriously blowing this." one of the guys (mikey) whisper. "Yeah, he's worse than Donnie." he says, earning a 'Hey!' from Donnie.

Leo glares at them for a second before turning his attention back to you.

You let out a giddy giggle, "ahh! dude!"

"Dude." You set it down gently and put both of your hands on his shoulders. "I. Love you. So much. You know that?"

He blushes a little, "Well, I mean, it's not really a big de-"

"Not a big deal?! DUDDEE I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Is this a marriage proposal?" You say, shaking him a little.

"Wh- um.. What?" Leo lets out a weak chuckle, he feels his face heating up. "Because I accept. Let's get married, I love you so much. Oh my god, you have no idea-"

Ohhh god.

Yeah, that does it.

Well, even more than it already has.

"Whahahaha... Okay, uh, You don't really mean that, do y-" Oh.

"..Oh, sorry, is that too far? I mean, I do it with my other friends, but I'm not sure- Leo?" Yeah, no this is going to kill him. Kinda pathetic, huh? That a kiss on the cheek could send him spiraling just like that.

"Ah.. hahahah! Okay cool, haha.. uh, bye! I'll ah.. see you tomorrow? yep. Yeah. Okay, bye!"

He runs off.

Donatello’s bed is just big enough to fit him comfortably without him dangling over the sides

He has a pretty sizable blanket, and it’s actually a weighted blanket! Something that will put him to sleep and keep him asleep. Like 15lbs-25lbs

About four regular sized, plush pillows

He used to have a body pillow too

The bed itself is pushed up and out of the way, against the farthest wall of his room. His desk is against the opposite wall

Donnie absolutely sees the importance of having his room as a place to sleep and be away from work

But try as he might, his room still becomes littered with various sketches, blueprints, or notes

He cleans up as much as he can, but it just keeps happening so he gave up 😅

Donatello doesn’t spend too much time in his room though, constantly at work and tinkering away in his lab. He’s a workaholic, you know this.

To get Donnie to bed is a challenge in itself, but not impossible.

Luckily, he loves spending time with you, so you only need to ask him once.

Or twice.

Maybe three times, but he’s almost done! Promise! Just need to make sure that one part was secure and wasn’t going to grow legs and walk away by morning

Donnie’s favorite position is one where he’s facing you: him laying on his side, shell supported by a pillow or two

He’ll leave little kisses on what he can reach of you, but they’re so feather light, you barely even know they’re there. He’s too afraid of waking you up

He likes to either have his forehead pressed to yours or have your head tucked under his chin, he craves closeness

He tends to bring your leg up and hook it over his own. He’ll then scooch himself further into your space until you two are properly locked together and honestly? At that point? He couldn’t care less about anything else in the world. He’s not moving from you.

Through the night though, your legs become so tangled with his, you don’t know where he ends and you begin, like you were playing twister in your sleep or something

Donnie loves it when you use his arm as a pillow!

He knows it’s gonna go numb, but he doesn’t mind. He would take pins and needles over anything if it meant you got good sleep

His other arm is usually wrapped around you to hold you close, he likes to rub your back too! It’s a sure fire way to knock you out

It makes his heart go all fluttery whenever he thinks about that because he loves that he just knows you so well

He adores laying in bed with you and doesn’t fall asleep until well after you doze off just so he can look at you

It never really crossed his mind that it may be a bit weird to watch you sleep. You’re cute, and it calms him down. It’s his favorite past time.

Is he obsessed? No.

Maybe.

A little.

But is it obsession if you’re both in love? He’s caught you staring at him too! He knows you do the same!

Yeah, so he’s counted all your eyelashes, all your beauty marks, and logged every sigh you make into his long term.

And yeah, he keeps track of your REM cycle so he knows exactly how long it takes for you to slip off into deep sleep, and - Whatever!!! Just let him have this! Who are you?? The Police???

Donnie is a normal sleeper most nights and doesn’t move too much, may twitch a bit, but other than that, nothing.

Doesn’t make a peep when he’s knocked out, but breathes very deeply

Unless he gets an idea!! He used to just jolt out of bed to his desk, but he���s taken a tumble too many times (he kept forgetting the mess of limbs you two create) and has since learned how to stealthily slip away and back into you once he’s done

He gets a few nightmares, and he may unintentionally wake you if he gets too caught up in them.

But when you wake him up from one of those terrible dreams and cuddle with him? Ohhh he falls. He falls so hard for you. Especially when you rub your thumb across his cheek and talk him through his breathing

Your soothing words are like a balm to his overworked brain and he’s forever grateful for you

He’s pretty sure he’s got hearteyes

You’ve gotten a few chirps out of him like that, and he’s so embarrassed about them pLEASE DONT TEASE HIM 😭

He won’t get mad, but he’ll get so flustered and then you’ll have a child lock on your phone and he’ll have no idea what you’re talking about

Donnie’s usually awake before you, and will spend a few minutes basking in your warmth before he goes to grab you something quick to drink for when you wake up.

And when he comes back to see you curled up around his pillow? The thought that even in sleep you search for him and need him close to you?

It makes his knees buckle

And it takes everything in him to not just slip right back under those covers and replace that pillow you’ve grabbed onto

Ranking the yandere rottmnt boys by how likely they are to kidnap their darling

Just a little crumb to keep myself from losing my mind while staring at google docs this late at night. Sorry if this is super bad, it's way later at night than I'm used to staying up and election night stressed me the hell out.

Donnie.

I have absolutely no doubts that he's going to at least try very very hard to kidnap you. And honestly, I doubt it would be too hard. He's a highly trained, mystic wielding, tech inventing, mutant ninja turtle. And on top of that, he's very fond of planning absolutely everything. And to finish it all off, I think it would be once in a blue moon that he actually treats his darling as an equal. He already thinks he's better than almost everyone, and when he gets obsessed, he has to make himself feel better about it somehow, so he decides to cope by thinking you need him instead of it being the other way around. As a result, he treats you a bit like a very glorified songbird, and songbirds.. well, aren't they usually put in cages anyway? You won't even care after a week or two of adjustment! (He will get upset if you aren't content with being kidnapped by then, by the way.)

2. Raph

The only reason Raph is behind Donnie on this list is because I think he would take longer to justify it to himself. He thinks you're fragile, that you need to be protected from the harsh world! I mean, he barely trusts his youngest brother, who is also a highly trained ninja, to do a simple mission on his own. How do you think he'll treat you after the obsession sets in properly? Not really as an equal, I'll tell you that. He's much nicer to you than Donnie would be, but he still doesn't respect you enough to let you handle yourself, even if that's not how he sees his behavior. At the same time though... isn't he supposed to be a hero? Do heroes kidnap their darlings? Or would this make him the dragon... In the end though, he'll decide that he's fine with being the dragon so long as he knows that the rest of the world won't be able to run their metaphorical (or maybe literal, depending on how unpopular you are in the area) pitchforks right through your heart.

3. Mikey

Mikey wouldn't just.. outright kidnap his darling, I think. I think it would start with a fun sleepover at the lair! Then he insists you stay just one more day! You're having so much fun, after all! Don't you wanna hang out with your best friend for a while longer? You agree, of course- him and his brothers have been nothing but nice to you ever since you met them, and their company is always a delight, so it's worth a shot, isn't it? Then suddenly, the weekend is over, and school's ready to chew you up again, so you do leave. Then it's finally the weekend again! You've heard of a fun game from your school friends, so you plan on trying it when you get home this afternoon- it's friday, after all- when you get a text from Mikey in the group chat with his brothers. He wants you to come over again- and, of course, you say "sure". Not like you can't just play the game on sunday, or when you go home saturday. The sleepover flies by, but you're a bit weary by the time you're pretty sure you're supposed to go home- but here's Mikey, and he's so sure that you promised you'd stay at the lair until sunday again! So, you give in. There's always next weekend, right...? I think you get the pattern, but eventually, he'll be keeping you at the lair 24/7, and you'll be rubbing at your weary eyes wondering how you got into this mess. Sometimes you can even see his brothers shoot you worried looks.

4. Leo

Leo would only kidnap his darling as a last resort, and I think it's because of two reasons. One, he's the brother who sees you closest to being an equal (Donnie and Raph constantly go against your personal autonomy and Mikey puts you on an extremely restricting pedestal), though to be fair, that's not a high bar to pass- and two he much prefers to have some sort of interesting conflict to be present because he finds it entertaining. His life is a weird, morally incorrect soap opera at this point, and he's the number one viewer. Kidnapping would only really happen with him if he thought you were either seriously leaving him (moving or getting into a serious relationship with someone else) or if the circumstances around him got too stressful and he needed something to cling to for any semblance of support outside his brothers (who, at that point, would probably also be super stressed). Think post movie, when the city is still recovering. Man, he was probably freaking out thinking that you might've died to the kraang.

It was late one night. Mikey rarely stayed up past 2 am but here he was, humming to himself as he made the two of you grilled cheeses. It wasn’t 2 but 4 in the morning. Everyone else was in their own respective rooms. You had doubts that Leo and Donnie were asleep. But you could hear Raph’s snores all the way in the kitchen. And Splinter wasn’t exactly a peaceful sleeper either.

“Should I heat up some soup to dip it in?” You offered going to where they kept the cans of microwaveable soup. “Ah sure!” Mikey agreed. As it so happened, the microwave was right above the stove where Mikey was working his magic.

But years of being in each other’s space had you easily crossing the boundary of personal space to get on your tippy toes to press the button that opened up the microwave and placed the bowl of soup inside. You set it for three minutes, clicked start, and then backed away.

The smell of burnt bread filtered through your nose and you looked over to Mikey to see that he was just staring straight ahead. Spatula in hand ready for flipping the cheese sandwiches but not doing anything at all. “…Mike? It’s burnin’” you said plainly.

He blinked, looked down and his blank expression morphed into one of horror. “Oh no no no!” In dismay he flipped to see the charred toast. His teeth clacked as he scooped it once more and went for the trash can.

“Wait wait I’ll eat it! Don’t waste it Angelo!!” You said hurriedly but he just looked at you with a bewildered expression before chunking it. “We’ve got more cheese and bread, I’m not feeding you burnt grilled cheese.” You crossed your arms. “All it needed was a good scraping on the burnt side and it would’ve been fine!”

He shook his head. “Trash!” He said with finality. He got to work whipping up two more. You let it go. And the two of you situated yourself at the kitchen table, soup in between you both as you had your own respective sandwiches. You were starved so you chowed down right away. Blowing out hot air as you burned your tongue in the process.

Mikey had pulled up a YouTube video for the two of you to watch in the meantime. Glancing over at your antics and shaking his head once more but with a smile this time. “Wha?” You said with food still in your mouth. His beak scrunched. And you gave him a wicked grin before opening your mouth fully to show him the mushy half eaten food inside.

“Gross! Why?!” He whined, tearing his eyes away to watch the video he had up. You didn’t have a response for that. Spontaneity you guessed. You hadn’t finished your meal yet but you pushed out of your seat. “Where ya going?” He chirped not looking away from the screen. “Drink!” You stated, bending down as you looked in the fridge to view the options.

“Want something?” You asked. “Nah… actually a Dr. Pepper.” You grabbed one and headed back. Cracking it open you took a sip before sliding it his way. He took a sip without looking away from the screen. You tilted over to see what it was about, some grocery store hijinks. Lame! You got back to the meal. Opening up your own phone to check the messages you had missed.

You hadn’t been on your phone all day! Spending most of it with Mikey doing mundane stuff. Video gaming or watching movies. You smiled down at a specific message.

Unbeknownst to you, Mikey had his eyes on you ever since you had opened up your phone. A blank expression taking over his face once more. “Who’s that.” He said, not a question. But you hardly noticed, your attention enraptured from the slew of messages you were receiving now. Then you halted and your eyes shot up at Mikey, one of his brow bones lifted in question at the shocked look you gave him.

“I never told you!” You said with surprise and turned fully to him. Mikey felt his muscles tighten. Something you hadn’t told him? What could it be? His thoughts spiraled to worse case scenarios. “I met this person… and it was like insta-crush! They’ve just got this way about them. Okay wait wait lemme start from the beginning—“

The muscle by his jaw ticked. A crush. An insta-crush. You were crushing on someone? It was as if by thinking of the worst thing possible it then came true. While you went on distracted by your disgusting puppy love, Mikey sat there not really listening. He watched as you were pulled away from the conversation multiple times by your phone lighting up. And his pupils started to shake.

After the fourth time of you getting all distracted and giggly Mikey rammed his fist down into the table. Smashing bits of it to splinters. “What the hell Mikey?!” You were out of your chair and raising your hands up in what was a mix of emotions. “Heh! Sorryyyyy,” those dead eyes of his crinkled into crescents as he smiled then he shook his fist as if it had hurt.

“Sorry?! What was that?? You smashed the table into dust!” Your eyes were bugging out at the show of strength. “There was a bug!” Mikey lied. You gave him a once over. Then you took a step back. Ah he was such a terrible liar.

“Maybe I should go? It’s getting late. You’re probably tired!” It’s like you were trying to give him an excuse. “But I thought we were having a sleepover?” Mikey whined. Getting up from his chair slowly. You were pedaling backwards. “We can reschedule Angie! Really!” Your voice was half placating, and half fearful.

“Okay okay, you got me!” Mikey held up his hands in a show of surrender and in your confusion you hesitated to escape further. “Huh?” You questioned. “I may have gotten a teensy bit jealous! I had no idea you were crushing on someone!” Mikey explained. Then went further.

“I actually thought.. with how much you’ve been over.. and how well we get along.. I just thought maybe words weren’t needed to describe what we were!”

You blinked slowly. “We’re friends Mikey.” You said plainly. His hands went down, while his head tilted to the side. “Really? Do friends stay up this late together?” You were instantly defensive. “Yes! Donnie, me, and Leo stay up this late all the time!” So Mikey went further.

“Do they share food or the same soda? Do they cross boundaries? Do they text 24/7? Do they say I love you? Do they cuddle? Do they share a bed?” The more he listed the more his face lost control. His eyes widening in a manic sort of way as his hands started to flail about. You flushed at the last bit. “I was perfectly fine on the couch! It was you who had insisted—“

“We. Are. Dating!” He yelled out. His plastron heaving as he struggled to breathe properly. “You like me! And I like you. We aren’t friends. We’ve been dating forever. You don’t have a crush on anyone but me!” He swallowed as his eyes brightened completely into what you could only describe as his ninja stare. You trembled in place as his hands rose from his sides, his ninpo flaring to life as that fiery orange chain snaked into view threatening to shoot towards your form if you dared to bolt.

“Say it.” You couldn’t. It was a lie. It was a delusion. Something Mikey had made up all on his own, something you had no part in. You shook your head. He huffed. “Fine.” The last thing you remember seeing was that chain faster than lightning wrapping around your body, it squeezed you, holding on to every part available. Choking you. And Mikey walking over without a care in the world as your vision swam and turned black.

2k12 Donnie! X fem!reader

Pt. 1

AN- In this chapter I was kinda just trying to establish your relationship with the turtles and April. So if you don’t like it I really am sorry. But hopefully part 3 will be better. Enjoy! <3

Word count - 1046

Well the whole mutant thing went down last month, and you’re still trying to process what happened. I mean to go on a walk and almost freeze to death, just to be saved by a girl you couldn’t even call a good acquaintance and her mutant friends! Turns out the whole rat thing happened because they made a crazy scientist guy mad, or they did something to piss him off… and their dad is a rat, he’s cool.

Because you don’t go to school you’re in the lair with the guys a lot, and you’ve gotten to know them better.

Leo is such a dork, not in a smart way like Donnie but in a funny way. He tries sooo hard to be a good leader so he copies the ones in cartoons, like spock from startrek, and robin from teen titans. And the reason this is so dorky is cuz it’s so obvious what he’s doing, and when his training exercises don’t go according to the plan, (aka if it doesn’t make him look super cool) he gets soo pissy (but his brothers can never know that). Nothing that a pizza can’t fix, ya’ know if Mikey doesn’t Finnish the whole thing within a millisecond, of it being in the lair.

Raph isn’t as angry as everybody says, his anger issues aren’t even that bad. Sure he’s aggressive, but that’s mainly during fights or whenever Mikey is a ten foot radius of him. For the most part he’s pretty chill, & keeps to himself, plus spike.

Everyone made sure to fill you in on the Donnie and April situation, and the weird way he was acting when the two of you first met, instantly make sense. After you informed him that you and April weren’t close, and telling her how great of a guy he was, wasn’t gonna help much, he was devastated. But other than his obsession with April, he’s a cool guy. most times when you’re in the lair, you and Donnie are hanging out in the lab. He helps you with your math and science homework, and you help around the lab in whatever ways possible. Working with Donnie is fun, and he trust you enough to let you in on his schemes to try and win over April. They’re incredibly weird and you doubt any of them will work, but! they’re interesting.

There’s never a dull moment with Donatello. he’s funny- if you get the joke, and the more time you spend with him, the harder it is to not get it. And then there are days when nothing happens, the two of you just hang out in the lab while Don works on blueprints while you’re reading.

And Mikey is kinda gross, but honestly the sweetest thing you’ve ever met. He gets bullied by his brothers a lot, but he’s so nice, the boys are soo mean. Sometimes you and Mikey watch romcoms, or action movies together.

You and April were never friends but she’s actually fun to be around, you, April, and Irma, go out out all the time. Shopping, movies, or just hanging out, it’s so fun being with those two.

And master Splinter doesn’t talk much, but for as much as you know, he’s just a dad making his Sons friends feel welcome in their home. And he taught you how to play shogi, you’ve gotten really good.

Ginger: “Irma had to go home, something with her cat. Wanna go to the lair instead?”

Damn this was disappointing, April and Irma were gassing this movie up sooo much. You made sure not to watch trailers or anything just so you’d be completely blind. But it’s just a movie.

Snow globe: “It’s fine. I’m omw to the hole rn, meet you there <3”

You went back upstairs to put on your old combat boots, then you started making your way to the lair. You love the boys and splinter, they’re great. But doing down into piss, and shit, with your knee high converse, that were around $100 was not! gonna happen.

You met up with April, and the two of you talked about whatever while walking to the lair. School, family, clothes, things weren’t weird until she brought up boys.

“So did you have a boyfriend, or a crush before shit hit the fan?”

“U-h well…” romance wasn’t exactly a topic you were comfortable in. I mean you’ve had crushes but none of them turned out good, and some didn’t even turn. “No, I have a problem with making friends with people I have crushes on. And when I do confess if I do, we’re usually too close of friends for them to reciprocate.” You let out a chuckle trying to make it look as if you don’t care much. “What about you?”

“Uhh… well you know the whole thing with Donnie. And ive gone on a couple dates in my time, but they never ended up anything. So I guess we’re in the same boat.”

“Yeah. I feel bad for you honestly. Donnie’s soo nice, and I love hanging out with him, and you’ll never see that side of him. But at least you have Raph, Leo, and Mikey.”

You look over at April and she’s giving you a somber look. oh fuck, was she offended by what you said about Donnie!? “I’m not saying that you and Donnie will never actually be friends, I’m just saying he’s always tense around you not trying to embarrass himself so he-“

“No, no I get it (Y/N), I’ve accepted it, for now. But he’s obviously gonna grow out of it, and it’ll be like it never happened. I give it the rest of the year.”

“Hah! Don’t you think you’re giving him a little too much grace? Donnie’s like a puppy waiting at the door for his owner to come back when he’s with you.”

The two of you start laughing as you approach the opening of the lair. “As if Donnie’s way too busy to be-“

“April!” Before she’s even two step into the lair Donnie grabs her and holds her in his arms.

“Hi Donnie.” She pats his shoulders obviously uncomfortable. You walk ahead, and you sit on the couch next to Mikey while he plays with ice cream kitty.

“Angela, sir ice cream kitty, how do you do?” You say in a forced posh accent and Mickey follows suit.

“Splendid, the hydrangeas are in full bloom, and they’re a sight to see if I do say so myself.” Ice cream kitty meows after him. A new show started running that takes place in the regency era, about bridges or something. You and Mickey started watching and, it’s quickly becoming one of your favorites.

As you and Mickey are talking, you see April walk over to the old arcade games where Raph and Leo are playing, and you get snatched by Donnie.

“(Y/N)! I need you now!” He whisks you off to his lab, and shuts the door behind him.

“Donnie! Why do you find it necessary to just pick people up!” you snatch his hands off your body, and he apologizes and leads you over to his clipboard.

“Okay hear me out.”

“Donnie I don’t need another 80 step plan on how to get April to text you.”

“It isn’t that. What if I ask her out?”

“No donnie that’s never gon- ASK HER OUT! Donnie that’s like the most normal idea you’ve had. Like EVER, and I’ve only known you for a month.”

Donnie’s enthusiasm for this was honestly adorable, and if he doesn’t say something weird, you think he might actually have a shot at making this work.

“I mean… it does sound nice. Give it a shot tomorrow night I’ll tell her i need her help with a secret mission… or something?”

“Then instead of you showing up I will, then I’ll lead her to our picnic and she’s sure to fall in love with me.” Donnie was basically bouncing off the walls, his cheeks turned red only at the thought of spending the night with April. You wanted to give him a reality check and say it’s probably not gonna work, but this is actually a good idea. Let’s just give it a shot.

It’s 8pm and the boys went out on patrol. The lair is calm and splinter made tea for you and April, while you’re talking April asks.

“Hey (Y/N) have you thought of training to be a kunoichi with me?”

You chuckled to yourself, “that’s funny” then you continued sipping tea. But when you put your cup down you saw the way April was looking at you and realized she was being serious. “Wait really?”

“Yeah! Don’t you wanna learn ninjutsu?”

“It’s better to learn alongside someone who can push you to do better. and sparing buddies are always fun.” Splinter giggles in whatever way an old rat man can while stroking his beard.

“Uh-“ I mean learning ninjutsu would be fun, but you don’t wanna be another target for the krang or Foot clan. However both foot clan mutants, and krang bots have seen you with the turtles. “I… Sure?”

April jumps on you and wraps her arms around your shoulders, and you held her back. “This is soo exciting! Now you’re really apart of the family.”

There’s a possibility that this is gonna back fire but as long as you have April and the turtles what’s the worst that could happen?

Right after you tell April that you don’t need help anymore, you grab your shell phone and call Donnie. “I just sent her off. Are you in position?”

“Yeah, I have everything ready. And it looks like something straight out of a fairytale! Do you wanna see?”

“Hell yeah, send me a picture.”

“Okay. I’ll do that right after I text April.”

“What are you telling her?” You roll your eyes and the disappointment in your voice is evident.

“I’m telling her I’m seeing suspicious activity from here. and I don’t trust my brothers, so I want her to come instead.”

“…” you stare at you phone with a sheer look of disgust on your face. In what world would that work, “Donnie are you fucking serious?”

“Y- yeah what about it?” He sounds confused from over the phone, and you can’t blame him. I mean the guy has only ever been with his brothers and dad his whole life, he can’t help being stupid.

“Donnie there’s no way that’s gonna-“

“She just replied. SHES ON HER WAY!” You can hear his phone thud on the ground, yet the squeal he let out still pierces your ears.

“I- I gotta go, before April gets here. Wish me luck.” He hangs up the phone.

You’re wishing him luck, but you know this will probably end in vain. It doesn’t matter how cute the fairy lights are, if she doesn’t like you she doesn’t like you.

As usual for the 4 turtles, it'll be the group and then the four turtles separately.

All: They all generally find it endearing that you forget little things like the stories you tell, taking it out of a memory issue and taking it as 'They get so happy and excited to be near us, they forget things often.' They each think it's adorable and let you talk to them all the time, regardless of the story being told before.

Leo: Leo is the only person who would actually tell you that you had told this story before, only to then tell you that he doesn't mind, and that he actually finds it adorable. He definitely uses this as a form of manipulation against you, using this opportunity like his brothers to semi - infantilize you. "Ya' know you told me this before, right? Oh don't worry, I like listening to you talk."

Raph: He leans heavily on this to justify it, saying to himself that if you forget simple things like this, than perhaps you do need them, just let him walk you places in case you forget the way there, or in case you forget something at home, or if... Raph is more accepting of the others, and less likely to get onto them for their obsession, but is more likely to stalk you rather than depend on the others for his information on things going on about you. "Are you sure you have everything? Do you want me to walk with you? Do you need me to check if you have everything?"

Mikey: He finds it so cute! You're just like him in that sense, seeing as he can find himself talking about the same thing over and over again, and finds himself connected to you further in that sense, using it to connect as the little sibling in his mind. Mikey is the one more likely to call you, to check up on you throughout the day. "Hey! I was just calling to make sure you hadn't forgotten about us hanging out later! Mhm, see you there!" [There was no hanging out, he was just gaslighting you.]

Donnie: He sees this as an opportunity to find out more and more things about the people around you, cross referencing the stories you tell them versus the stories you tell others, is this person in your story or are they not? "I was just checking, but what is this person doing in your story when last time you said that they weren't?" He tells his brothers these things to let them know who is stuck in your head more often, and if they need to get rid of them...

It’s time for TMNT headcanons again!

Here’s the first post I made a while ago.

This has been in my drafts for a few months now, so have at it.

2003

Donnie went down a deep rabbit hole on the multiverse after Turtles Forever. Raph had to listen to him talk about and eventually drag him away form the whole thing every time.

Leo and Mikey have spots under their eyes. They’re a lighter shade of green than their scales. You can’t see them usually because of their masks.

In turn, Raph and Donnie have spots on the palm of their hands. Donnie on his left, Raph on his right. If they hold hands the spots over lap. The spots look like little hearts.

Raph and Donnie are twins. Change my mind. The og disaster twins. They walked to Rise disaster twins could run.

2012

Puppy dog eyes work wonders on Leo. All his brothers use it against him, even Raph.

Raph has a heart shaped spot in his shoulder. Donnie has one to match him on his neck.

(Jonatello) Casey kisses the heart spot on Donnie’s neck a lot. He loves doing that.

Leo actually has some faint freckles like Mikey. They just faded out as he got older. If they stay at the farmhouse long enough in summer and go out in day time, they’ll be more visible.

Raph and Donnie are twins. Anger Management Duo my beloved. As the middle children with anger issues they were in time out a lot and one day just decided they were twins.

They made Mikey think they have twin thelepahy. He still believes it years later. Leo believed it for a hot minute too.

They solely became twins to spite their brothers. Mikey was obsessed with the idea of twins for a bit and Leo thought it’s cool too. While Raph and Donnie didn’t really care for the idea, Leo and Mikey got them stuck in time out. Mikey pranked them, they wanted revenge and Leo snitched. Mikey and Leo can’t have a twin if the middle children are twins. 😈

Rise

Donnie and Leo need glasses. But only Donnie wore them when they were kids. Nowadays they mostly wear contacts but they do wear their glasses often too. Mainly when they’re at home.

All four brothers the same happy stim. They wag their tails. I wrote a fic where I included that. Here. But basically it started like this, when Raph was just a normal turtle he found wagging his tail fun and just did it. Then the twins can along and copied him and then Mikey copied them as well. And despite their mutation it just stayed.

Raph turning savage is not really a thing anymore post Season 2 finale. The turtles can feel each others ninpo and knowing his brothers are always with him in a way helps keep his separation anxiety in check. It might still happen but it’s also easier to snap him out of it now.

The turtles are bilingual. They know English and Japanese. Obviously Leo also knows Spanish. They spoke more Japanse growing up, until they met April. They also taught April Japanese. Cassandra is Latina/Korean and knows English, Spanish and Korean as her native languages but learned Japanese when she joined the Foot. CJ knows all four languages, always has. In the bad timeline Cass only spoke Korean with him, April only English, Leo only Spanish and Raph only Japanese. Mikey and Donnie spoke both English and Japanese with him.

Medic Leo. But also, full blown doctor Leo. After the movie he, with Draxums help, got a doctorate degree in the Hidden City.

As much as Leo enjoys being a doctor and fixing people he’s also very interested in dissecting things. He almost dissected Warren once. Raph stopped him. But no one knows if he’ll try doing it again. Spoiler: he will.

Older twin Donnie supremacy here. That said, he may be second oldest but he has no authority over the other two.

Tales/MM

Donnie got April into K-Dramas. They watch them together.

The reason Raph is missing a tooth is Mikey. Mikey accidentally knocked him over the head with his nunchucks and Raph stumbled into a pole. Then he tooth was gone.

Mikey is the medic in this one. I just thought it’d be cool since he he seemed pretty interested in it during the mechazoid arc.

OKAYOKAYOKAY- SO GET THIS!

There are a lot of things that stay very, very similar to canon, but obviously some things HAVE to change to make room for big adjustments like lack of love triangles, SO I was debating a couple of episodes and how they could be altered or fixed and literally rewrote an entire episode and OOPS MY HANDS SLIPPED AND NOW I’M SHARING BC YOU ASKED NO TAKE-BACKSIES!

Baxter’s gambit: Happens exactly the same except Fishface keeps doing those weird, uncomfortable, cringe flirty comments at Donnie and at one point he gets too far into her comfort zone and Raph punches his face straight into the ground and threatens to gut him if he ever tries that again ‘cause SHE’S A TEEN DUDE BACK OFF.

Then they bond, and he reminds him of the threat, but nicer.

Needless to say, Fishface leaves Donnie alone.

Slash And Destroy: After Spike is almost blown up, Raph wants Donnie punished, but it was an honest accident, and Splinter only warns her to keep her lab door shut. In a fit of frustration, Raph nabs the mutagen and shouts that “she only gets away with stuff because she’s a GIRL!” and then slams his door to lock himself away. When Slash is bragging later, he reminds Raph of what he said while enraged and insists that he “gave her what they both knew she always deserved” and also implies that Leo’s next.

This scene haunts Raph when Donnie opens up about her insecurities down the line and he realizes that he’s partly to blame.

Showdown: Shredder tries to get under his skin by challenging the false fact that Splinter ‘replaced’ Miwa and with a shelled freak, no less. He taunts him by threatening to kill Donnie, asking if he’d get over her just as easily. Splinter hisses that he loves both his daughters, dead or alive, and the fight leads to Karai’s reveal.

The Pulverizer: The brothers ditch Timothy with Donnie and she makes a halfhearted comment under her breath about stereotypes and “women getting left with the children” as Timothy destroys several beakers in the background and she resigns to her fate.

The Invasion, Part 1: During the argument over whether to use the bot, Donnie accuses Leo of not trusting her because “she’s a girl” and Leo insists that’s not why. When she demands an explanation, all he says is that he’s “the leader.” She’s visibly dissatisfied.

The Invasion, Part 2: While April wraps her arm, Donnie admits that she thinks Leo only separated from them because she was the one who got shot. That if she had been paying attention, or if she hadn’t picked a fight, it would never have happened. She asks if April thinks that it’s her fault that he’s out there alone. Before April can answer, a tremor shakes their building and Kirby freaks out.

A Foot Too Big Disclaimer: ERASE EVERYTHING YOU KNOW.

A Foot To Big is actually about Donnie being unnecessarily nice to Leo and Leo being too distracted by his own issues to really notice. Donnie gets distressed and confides in Mikey that he must be “really mad at her” and doesn’t listen when he’s skeptical. Raph tells Donnie that she needs to give him space, does the “you know what you need? Huh? You know what you need?” bit and then drags them outside. Leo’s already out there and Donnie’s too distracted looking his way to fight well. Raph sends him and Mikey out into the forest to put some distance between the two.

There, they run into a Big Foot. Donnie notices that she’s injured so they bring her home. She’s ecstatic to meet another female mutant that’s essentially a historical endangered species. There’s no weird love thing- only Donnie being her obsessive self and diving head-first into studying Big Foot. Leo notices that change from doting to basically pretending he doesn’t exist, and mentions it to Raph. Raph tells Donnie that maybe she should talk to Leo, and she fires back that it was his advice to give Leo space. Raph argues that he didn’t mean ignore him altogether, but Donnie doesn’t listen. They get into a shouting match that ends with Donnie spotting Leo walk out of the house and her quickly stomping off into the forest.

Later, Donnie’s sulking in the shadows when Leo finds her. Or, he reveals, Big Foot led him to her, hinting that she knows the forest really well. Donnie fires at comment about ‘betrayals’ and Leo sits down next to her, meaningfully saying that he’s grateful Big Foot did. Leo tries to get Donnie to open up, but she keeps denying that anything is wrong, more and more tense as he insists that she’s been acting strange ever since he woke up.

There’s a cliche “wait, I hear something” “what?” “shhh” “you’re just trying to shut me up” moment before they hear a shout.

They move to Big Foot’s aid, only to get knocked out themselves. Upon waking up, they realize what situation they’re in and Donnie gets an idea. She pleads with Leo to follow her lead and he does without missing a beat. They escape and fight The Finger, The Finger and Big Foot have their… moment, and then Leo and Donnie exchange baffled shrugs as they leave.

The last scene has Donnie supporting Leo on their way back to the farmhouse. Leo stops her on the porch and leads her into sitting down on the stairs with him. Donnie’s anger has clearly left her by then, and she hunches in on herself as he reveals that he knows that Raph and her were arguing about him. He pleads with her to tell him what’s wrong, and eventually she breaks.

Donnie pours out all the guilt that was eating away at her- how she didn’t listen and he ended up in a coma for three months, and how she knows he has every right to hate her but she’s sorry and going to try her hardest to make it up to him- only interrupted when Leo drops his crutch and pulls her into a tight hug. She shrivels in it, burying her face in his shoulder, and he assures her that nothing was her fault. He was being just as stubborn as she was. They could have found a compromise. None of his choices were hers to bear, and if he had to choose between protecting her or himself, he’d choose her a million times over. And not just her, all of his little siblings. He ends it with a light tease of “sorry, Donnie, you’re really not that special.”

He earns a shaky laugh that makes him smile. They separate and Donnie says that she’s going to do her best not to question him in the future, and he scolds her, saying that she better not let him make dumb plans just because she feels guilty. They poke fun at one another until the tension clears, and then Leo shivers, and Donnie frantically insists that he shouldn��t be out in the cool night air.

Her amused older brother lets her lead him inside and the episode ends with her shouting for someone to grab a blanket and to start up the fire, and then a black-and-white image of the farmhouse door.

YEAH YOU BET I JUST DID THAT

The Creeping Doom: Instead of chasing Icecream Kitty across the floor, they manage to calm Donnie down by letting her play with April’s hair. It ends up being a tangled mess of bows and hair clippings that April takes out on the way to the lab to check on Mikey, but she waits ‘till Donnie gets distracted, since it’s visibly clear that she both enjoyed herself and was proud of her ‘creation’.

The Power Inside of Her: When Donnie says that she’s okay after everything, Leo interrupts to say that she’s not. When Donnie stiffens, her older brother is quick to reassure her that if any of them were in her place, they would be far from okay.

After April thinks that “at least some good came out of this,” the scene transitions to just the turtles watching tv. Donnie says that she’s sore and headed to bed, but her brothers all visibly panic. Mikey’s the one to say that maybe they “should just hang out a bit longer?” and Raph insists that they should for Mikey’s sake since “he’d just wake them up later,” implying that he commonly wakes them when he has nightmares. Leo asks Donnie to “humor them” and Donnie gives in, lightly teasing her big, bad brothers as they scoff and crowd her, but overall looking immensely relieved.

Okay I know it’s when the curse is at its peak and they’re being tremendously awful to Donnie but there was something darkly funny about that one line of dialogue in the family meeting that just.

“You can’t tell people to kill themselves that’s rude.”

“Okay I’ll never do it again. Me when I lie.”

Like at least certain parts of them being complete douchebags to Donnie were darkly funny I guess ����

tbhhh it was like the ,,, normalcy of it that i really wanted to get across. even when they turn into unrecognizable, hateful caricatures of themselves, they're still startlingly themselves. they still bicker like siblings do and take the piss out of shit-talking someone they all collectively dislike. it's a big reason donnie wasn't put off completely by the behavior, they're all talking like themselves. i actually heavily based a lot of the dialogue there from the way i talk to my own siblings (the speech patterns/vibe of the banter, not the viciousness) and i think it also lends to donnie feeling like he's unreasonable, because they're so calm and unbothered while he's literally losing himself and breaking down sobbing. it makes him feel embarrassed and ashamed.

honestly the final fight where mikey and leo bicker and quip like he's any old villain of the week still kind of gets me, especially in comparison to raph's reluctance and how terrified donnie is. this is the kind of thing they do when they're going after someone they genuinely find evil, not hunting down their beaten and starving brother for fun. its reached a point where it looks like he's just nothing to him (which is wrong, they despise him to obsessive levels and they werent even going to let him leave the lair alive no matter what, but they were good at feigning that kind of disinterest and annoyance)

he would binge watch the episodes that have you in it, or a you-centric episode constantly or whenever he's feeling down or demotivated.

no matter if it's an action series or a slice-of life series, you inspire him to become a better leader and example to his brothers.

you know that random feeling of motivation when you watch a study vlog or anything inspiring? he'd get that random burst of motivation to train while watching some episodes (in secret, of course).

his brothers, mainly raph, tease him for liking your show and talk about how childish it is(when in reality, they think its a decent series to watch).

no doubt this boy secretly makes 'x reader' fanfiction.

even if you're a side character or comdic relief, he still enjoys the scenes you're in and hyper analyze your traits and makes headcannons.

he'd sometimes use the episodes where there'd be mental health awareness as a guide to look out for signs in his brothers and friends so he can make sure they're okay ♡

he'll rant about your charcater the moment he hears anything related to you(or his headcannons), for example: your favorite colour, a word/phrase you use often, the style of clothing you wear etc.

Fun fact; Snow leopards can jump really high, one leap can send them almost 50 feet in the air

So you take this skill to your advantage

Jumping into high places so he can't find you/reach you

But he will always find a way

"C'mon [NAME], come out! I swear I won't boop you again" You hear Leo's voice all the way in the movie room, You're currently hiding in the kitchen, on top of one of the high shelves, You hear his footsteps walking away, You sigh in relief but it was short-lived as you feel your tail bump into a plastic cup causing it to fall down to the hard concrete floor,

"Damn it!" You whispered to yourself

"Oh, so you're hiding in the kitchen?" Leo says, you can practically taste the grin he has on his face, almost instantly you see a blue portal next to you, with Leo's hand sticking out of it to grab you by the scruff of your neck and pull you into said portal,

You were then met with his face, a victory smirk plastered all over it. He raised his hand with his index finger out and pressed your nose.

"Boop"

Damn it, Leo, you lovable jackass

《DONNIE》

He wants to be around you and hangs out with you a lot

Just let him unwind around you

Will occasionally indulge in 'play time' with you

Messing with you by pointing a laser pointer at random objects

He once pointed the laser at Leo's face and watched in amusement as you pounced on him

He actually has a box full of cat toys just for you

Finds it absolutely adorable when you eye down that plastic mouse

Spends hours playing with you even if it means ignoring his brothers for a while,

Donnie watches you run for the red-beaming laser as he rapidly slides it to the floor while grinning amusedly. Just then, he hears loud footsteps and voices outside the room.

One of the voices yells, "DONNIE!"

"DONNIE, WE NEED YOUR HELP!" the second one claims

The door swings open, revealing Donnie's brothers, Leo and Mikey, frantically flailing their hands about in some terrified manner, he groans.

"DONNIE PLEASE HELP, I WAS HELPING LEO MAKE SOUP FOR DINNER, I TURN AROUND FOR ONE SECOND AND HE MAGICALLY BURNED THE WATER AND NOW THE STOVE IS ON FIRE," the turtle exclaimed, Leo gasped dramatically,

"IT'S NOT MY FAULT, I NEVER KNEW THAT WATER COULD BURN"

Mikey responds, "I DIDN'T ETHIER-" before being cut off.

"Enough! Can't you see I'm spending quality time with [NAME]?" Donnie states, they all look at you, still trying to catch the laser that has moved from the floor to the wall,

"Don, the kitchen is literally catching on fire as we speak." Leo says,

"Not my problem" Donnie retorts.

Oopsies I made this a little too long, not that y'all mind, right? Anyways the kitchen caught on fire and Raph had to lecture everybody while putting it out

《MIKEY》

'COME HERE PSPSPSPSPS'

Does that ALL the time to get your attention

Yes, it does get annoying, but you'll get used to it, don't worry

Likes to hang out and just chill with you like Donnie,

One of the perks of being a snow leopard is your coat. It keeps you warm during the winter,

So, throughout winter, you'll always stop by the lair to help Mikey stay warm

Using your tail as some sort of blanket, and holding you close

"[NAME]! You're here!" Mikey greeted you with his signature goofy smile, running up to you and tackling you in a tight hug,

"Of course I'm here Mikey, it's the winter. You'll practically die if I hadn't," you return the hug, wrapping your warm tail around his torso, Mikey hummed

"Hmm, so warm!" He sighed in delight, nuzzling his snout into your cozy neck.

Villain Leo Animatic - Breakdown

⚠️TW: Violence, Blood, Guns, Themes of suicide, Attempted murder

The animatic takes place over a few years, starting from when Leo reveals himself to his brothers again after a 3 year absence (23 years old). It focuses on the tension between Leo and Donnie as time goes on, Leo’s resolve crumbling while Donnie slowly loses himself as well. In other words, who’s really the villain? This is going to be very long, let’s get 🔪started🔪

The Coin

Sue me if it wasn’t obvious, I will not figure out how to animate a coin flipping. But the circle motif shows throughout the video because they’re twins, two sides of the same coin. What happens to one, will happen to the other.

The Pupils

The pupils were a signifier of their current moral standing. White for “villain” and black for “hero”. It could also be seen as insanity vs. sanity. You’ll notice that by the end of it, Leo and Donnie have switched but I also want to point out where and why:

Donnie

After Leo left, Donnie spent all his energy going into finding him. He’s worried, he cares, he wants his brother back regardless if Leo has committed murder. He couldn’t find him, and it’s here that Leo reveals he’s been working with Kendra for all tech related support.

Donnie and Kendra’s relationship at this point is more of a rivalry. They have a respect for each other and as much as Donnie hates to admit it, he looks forward to seeing the inventive ways Kendra can get in his way. She’s been a constant in his life since a teenager. However, she’s been a constant “enemy”.

Donnie sees this as the biggest betrayal against him. His own brother willingly teaming up with his rival like that. Leo’s supposed to be on his side, and this is so uncharacteristic to Donnie that it’s at this moment he realizes he doesn’t Know Leo anymore. This is where he loses hope on bringing Leo back because the Leo he knew doesn’t exist.

Leo

The animatic takes place over a few years, roughly three. We haven’t publicly explored what’s going in these years but a quick summary of it is that Leo has been spiraling further and further since the start. Since the Kraang invasion actually. His goal has always been to protect his brothers, it’s simply that his method of it became extreme, he became obsessed with it.

At this point, it’s near the end. He’s tired, he’s been questioning his motives, he doesn’t know if it’s all worth it, in comparison to his desire to just be with his family again. He fights with Donnie and he’ll never use lethal force against him, but that’s not the case with Donnie. Donnie is doing everything in his power to kill Leo and when Leo realizes this, his first thought is “what has my brother turned into?”. It’s sobering, reality crushing, when he realizes his own twin desperately wants him dead. He gives up.

First Chorus

I wanted a moment that showcases a bit of Leo’s skills and personality. He’s clever, strategic, manipulative, and his strongest weapons are his words. He knows this. He’s a good actor and he’s a performer, all to show that that’s the villain aspect of him that he’s struggling with. It taunts him. Still, he believes the best way to protect his family is to eliminate all threats possible.

Donnie’s progression are the stages of grief he’s going through realizing his brother is “dead”. He watches recordings of their past to figure out where things went wrong, but also to grieve.

Time is a bit vague here and there’s quite a bit that isn’t shown here actually. Leo has cut ties with Kendra (that’s a whole separate thing and the result is that Donnie hates Leo even more). Donnie watches Leo through the cameras throughout the city. Leo knows he’s being watched, it’s bittersweet, he’s already having doubts during this time. Donnie, during this time, has decided to transform the Genius Built company and turn it into tech powerhouse. It used to be a side project, but now he’s utilizing it to take over power on topside in terms of technology and economy. This is a parallel to how by this time, Leo has near full power and control in the undercity crime rings.

The Bridge

Leo questions everything he’s doing as the past taunts him of how things used to be, of how things Should be. Also dives into his reason for all of it. The Kraang hurt the people he loves the most, as if they were worthless.

On Donnie’s side, he’s more and more determined to take Leo down with his own hands. That is his sole goal. Everything he is doing and creating is for that purpose. But his inner child, a part of him that wishes for things to just be ok again, is desperate for him to stop, to question things and think. Also he’s CEO of GB at this point. Pretty straightforward with the Leo is the person he hates the most but was once his beloved brother.

The Fight

Donnie using lethal force to do everything in his power to kill Leo. Leo is more skilled than Donnie is, he has more experience killing but he absolutely will not kill his brothers, that goes against everything he’s working for. Because of that, Leo is destined to lose this fight. He also loses his will to fight after seeing how much Donnie needs to kill him. While Raph was the first trigger of starting all of this, Donnie is the second trigger of making him give up.

Donnie won because Leo still loved him dearly.

“I’m glad it was you.”

Of all the people to kill him, he’s genuinely glad it’s Donnie who’ll do it.

On the other hand, Donnie recognizes the resignation in Leo’s eyes, but after the last few years, he can’t help but wonder if it’s another trick. He feels Leo’s ninpo, and he hasn’t felt it in a very long time. It’s nostalgic, it’s comforting, but he’s already come too far. “I must kill Leo” has cemented into his mind as a fact.

I included these parallels because I wanna highlight that they’re “two sides of the same coin”. They’re twins and their fate are closely tied together. Leo will kill anyone to protect his family. Donnie will kill Leo to protect everyone, including his family.
