The final day of winter was a snow-in, which gave Bottom plenty of time to relax before enacting the grand plan for the best New Year party in all of SimCity. First she got her license, though, making her the first sim to actually get their license through gameplay. Woo!

Once she got back it was party time. She invited everyone she knew, plus a few extra summons just to keep things lively. It started slow as ever, but eventually it turned into a full blown rager. It had a buffet, music, lots of dancing, three feet of snow, hot tub lesbians, old men, and things were so hype that someone called the cops right on time for the clock to strike midnight. Some people just can't handle the sound of fifteen people banging pots together in the middle of the night in an amphitheater, apparently.

dina and mortimer had another son. i called him cristiano. here's a cute pic of flamenco and cristiano 🥰

and then, flamenco grew up! he looks a lot like his father. in fact, both of the kids do.

i've put dina in the slacker career, since she doesn't really want to work at all. but, you know, she has to. mortimer won't live forever. she brought titania home, and they do have some chemistry? but in my game she truthfully loves mortimer, and won't cheat on him. they became good friends! in the next day, it was oberon's time (and he fell asleep)

i'm trying to make mortimer spend as much time as possible with the boys. cristiano grew up to child, but it's a little bit heartbreaking, because i know (thanks to how many days left shrub) that mortimer will die tomorrow. and then, i had to close the game, because after some hours playing, i had pink flashing.

Later that night, Cassandra successfully got back into her old position. She was still recognized as "Mortimer Goth's daughter" in her new institute, but the pressure wasn't as big as in the old one, where her father used to work. Now she felt like it was her own fair accomplishment.

kaeya's character draws inspiration from several fictional figures: most prominently hagen/hogni, the baby from midsummer night's dream, and possibly kai from the snow queen.

today, i want to talk about the play midsummer night's dream by shakespeare. tl;dr: prince kaeya theory isn't dead, it's his mother who was royalty

the story includes the plot of oberon, the fairy king, and his wife the fairy queen titania fighting over an unnamed INDIAN baby. there's other Shenanigans going on but we don't care about them. oberon is thought to be a variant spelling derived from alberich. remember alberich means elf king.

In the legendary history of the Merovingian dynasty Oberon is a magician, the brother of Merowech (Mérovée). In the medieval German epic the Nibelungenlied he is the dwarf who guards the underground treasure of the Nibelungen and is overcome by Siegfried and forced to yield the “cloak of darkness” (the Tarn-kappe).

this seems to check out as the merovingian dynasty includes figures such as clothar and caribert. so assume oberon = alberich = kaeya's ancestor or father.

now, this baby was the child of titania's human attendent and an indian king. the woman died leaving titania to take care of the child for her sake. in other words, this baby was an INDIAN PRINCE raised by a bunch of fairies: a changeling.

i think the baby being indian could be why they decided to make kaeya into a brown king. (wow i can't believe shakespeare is the reason why kaeya has melanin everyone say thank you shakespeare.)

LOTS of questions does this raise; but since this game likes to switch things around (remus founded remuria instead of romulus for example) it's really hard to predict what direction they decided to go in. we know at least the alberichs aren't of royal blood, so it could've been his mother who was a queen. because notice that the prince kaeya baiting has NOT stopped even after they told us the alberichs weren't royalty. just look at his hangout where he literally plays a prince and the fischl and kaeya cake.

why would they drop hints about kaeya being a prince from his voicelines to OTHER people's voicelines to his constellation to his splashart to the play to the inspiration behind his character only to backtrack on it? even hagen, kaeya's other equivalent, was the son of a queen.

the question remains then, what exactly was his mother the queen of?

i love my goth boyfriends that i need to decipher each word they utter bc one has a lying curse and one just doesnt elaborate like it would kill him if he does like dantes has supported guda all these years and he's someone who has got guda's back, will test them again and again if he has to, even if it will cause them unbearable pain, he's someone who pushes them forward no matter how painful it gets dantes wants guda to continue their journey because thats what guda wants and has been doing since the start thats his way of wanting them to be happy meanwhile oberon. oberon will be there when you run out of allies, hurt, and in despair and shall catch you, cradle you as you fall. he offers guda an out. he offers guda advice, he comes to them, has proven time and time again that he's handling all the "backstage" duties of helping them and the talks between them show innate understanding on both sides. that this liar and master parallel each other in more ways than one. dantes has witnessed you in the beginning, will pull you up again and again, will reach for your hand even should you be in the other side of the universe or another. we've also seen how he discards guda's feelings, their agency, kyrie tells him this. that it cant be good for senpai. that killing for the sake of fujimaru to walk is in no way good. and thats a given. but despite everything, guda still stuck to their wholehearted wish of just moving forward. the anger may be there but it isnt in their nature to burn with hatred forever, they did have a taste but they are simply someone who loves more than they hate. but oberon will witness your end- he'll be there to catch you when youve run out of allies and options, of everything tethering you alive but will also still support you in your decisions so he's fairly indulgent when it comes to guda whereas dantes is kind of like the very worried but merciless mother hen where his brand of worry and care is tossing out his kids to teach them how to fly ww
