Noel also said of Oasis' performance at the Hacienda (in 1994): "I guess when the band formed it felt like a rite of passage, we played there on the way up like The Smiths. I saw Happy Mondays, New Order and the great Primal Scream there."

Talking about his earlier experiences as a clubber at the Hacienda, he said: "I was the right age, I was 21 in '89 at the time I lived in Whitworth Street so it was the nearest place to my flat. Even at the time we knew it was special."

He added: "'88 and '89 were the two best years of my life, living on Whitworth Street, no one knew who I was."

He paid tribute to Factory Records and the people who helped to build the Hacienda. He said: "The thing about Manchester is it’s just small enough and just big enough. The reason why it [Hacienda] happened is Factory Records.”

"Not many [record companies] have built something for the people of their city. Thank god there were all those people to do it."

Noel added: "People don’t know what they want until you give it to them. It takes a few visionaries to make it happen. There’s visionary people in this town and thank God they had the balls to do it."

Momo went back to Sulani, knowing Zinnia would come to Sulani in just a few months. And life continued for the Dreamers. Freelance Programmer work for Sarah, yoga classes for Rayne and school for all the teens. Kit worked hard, both in school and as one of the best members of the football team and this didn't go unnoticed. The coach was impressed and after a few excellent games, he promoted Kit to Team Captain.

Kit was over the moon and couldn't wait to text the good news to Penelope. It was only Thursday and he couldn't see her until the weekend when they'd hang out with the gang. He had a newfound respect for Zinnia being separated from Momo for so long. Kit couldn't even wait for the weekend to come.

It turned out, he wouldn't have to. Penelope answered his text with: "Let's celebrate! Fam is gone to charity tonight (yeah, ironic, ik). I'm home alone 😏"

Currently building/setting up a new uberhood made out of custom populated neighborhoods that I like to play, because I can never decide and stick to one thing. It's mostly desert setting so I'll probably make "empty" subhoods containing only the Sims out of the non-desert ones, so I can just add the Sims and move them in somewhere else. Main hood is gonna be Strangetown, but because I'm a completionist I've downloaded the Overkill-Strangetown SC4 Terrain by @chrisnewbie and plan to put all the Strangetown Sims from all the games in there, possibly add La Fiesta Tech and maybe even the TS2 Stories Sims (probably not though. Or maybe only Pet Stories).

So my current set-up looks like this:

- Main: Strangetown (uber version, no or few townies)

- Downtown: Emerald Heights

- University: Cactus Canyon, Quadington, LFT (Playable Sims + Secret Society only)

- Vacation: Winter Wonderland (mountain), possibly Felicity Island (tropical), ??? (far east). Maybe turn Nekojima into vacation hood? Hmm.

- Subhood 1: Sedona Deluxe + Copperhead City (Sims only) + maybe Pitstop Valley

-Subhood 2: Jeans Shaker Oasis

- Subhood 3: Service Area

- Subhood 4: Saguaro Desert + Douglasville + maybe Blackrock (no or few townies)

- Subhood 5: Softpines (on a dirt terrain) + Oak Hill + Oaken Valley

- Subhood 6: Arkhelios + Winterose (Sims only) + Nekojima (if not Vacation Hood)

I also got the Sims of Polgannon, Nekojima (not sure what to do with them yet) ... I've removed the bulk of dead ancestors from all the hoods to strip them down a little [edited to add I've also removed excess NPCs from all the hoods so far, in particular those stupid useless drivers] but still feel like this *might* be slightly overkill. Lol.

Yuma Heights Modern - Oasis Springs

This is one of the lots I'm most proud of, because it's modern and it's in oasis springs! I've made two versions of this house, one is what you'll see now, the other is in Newcrest.

I didn't want to take many pictures, just to not spoil the surprise.

anyways i have some countries like. the borders r pretty close to irl countries and i have them in my notes as x country but other ones i split them into like. just smaller subregions of the continent based on irl like. regions. like i split africa into . Madagascar + East Africa + Central Africa + Southern Africa + Western Africa + Northern Africa and its referenced off of maps where those r like. the recognized regions (well. madagascar is usually just counted as either east or southern africa but yk). but idk... im worried its a shitty thing 2 do i just dont know what else 2 do with it. maybe i should just use an actual world map instead since im going more realistic with like. the time periods and stuff. IDK i just rly wanna avoid the shit the sims does so much where it lumps a bunch of cultures together like. the chinese world in ts3 world adventures having a torii gate for the icon. -_- yk. the map was kinda superfluous anyway and more judt a way to visualize where the worlds we have were distributed + also was mostly influenced by that one ts4 mod which takes that more simplistic approach but maybe i can just step away from that and just go more realism based Its just hard bc i dont wanna like. lose the more like. silly isnt quite the word (itis kind of but not fully) ig i mean i dont wanna lose the abstraction kind of thing the sims has. but like. I am auite literally making a spreadsheet to get rid of some of the abstraction the sims has so what am i on about. IDK i just have been thinking abt it a lot basically... like sims im already making shit up and locking the sims to like real world history stuff it only makes sense to like. do the same thing with The world and not have it be abstracted. so yes that was a lot of words to say i think im just gonna move to thinking of the sims as living on Basically earth. In my personal the sims palace that ive made up. this is not to say i personally think of the sims as tkaing place on earth or anything ive just decided to do like. Bc this whole thing is basically an au im making anyway like. taking ts3 sims and making them be from the 1950s thats already Not what the game is like. so ill just make it a Realworld sims au. ok yay 👍 thats all sorry for talking sm abt something so pointless and also for not using a SINGLE paragraph break im basically just writing in this like i write in the tags (stream of consciousness) but the tags have the benefit of being naturally split up so yes i dont think anybody is reading this far. when i was little and playing skyward sword for the first time roughly 7-8 years old i got to the like trial on skyloft and i got so scared i smashed the cd so that i wouldnt have to do it . and then i blamed my dog for it. and i did this even tho lamp had JUST started a skyward sword playthru which idk if i knew at the time but i do feel rly guilty abt it. but i was rly scared. ok thats all

The weekend, and with it, Momo's stay-over, flew by. Before Zinnia knew it, it was Momo's final evening in Oasis Springs. Thinking about how he would be so far away from her yet again, Zinnia's heart sank.

But she remembered her father's words, about how he tried to enjoy the moments he did have with Sarah, even when they were far apart, even more. So she wanted to make this evening a happy one, not yet tainted by the sorrow of his departure.

She took Momo's hand and led him to the bench under the big wisteria tree behind the house. They sat down and spent a few moments in silence, just enjoying each other's company. Then she pointed at a star, high in the sky and a little brighter than the others.

Zinnia: "Polaris. You can see it in Sulani too, right?" Momo (nodding): "Yup, although we see many different stars there, that one is definitely the same. We call it The Great Guiding Star." Zinnia: "Then that's our star, the one we can both see and guides us until we are together again. Deal?" Momo (with a chuckle, but also a dreamy smile): "Deal. The best star ever."

Zinnia let out a sigh. Still smiling, her eyes gave away the sadness she tried to suppress. "I'm going to miss you a lot," she confessed. Momo took her hand and squeezed it gently. "Hey, that's ok. I'm going to miss you a lot too. But we'll see each other again as soon as possible, right? We're graduating soon, you can come to Sulani for the summer then? Maybe?"

Zinnia nodded frantically. "Oh yes, I've been looking for flights already. Also, I've been thinking... There's a University in Sulani too, right?" Momo's eyes widened, his face beaming with a happy smile. "Yup, it's specialised in environmental studies and stuff. Would you... Now that I think of it, I remember Kanaloa telling me about your grandmother coming to Sulani for her studies."

Zinnia smiled: "Yeah, Dad told me about that too. So... So I might be staying a long time in Sulani..." Momo just smiled and then pulled Zinnia a little closer. "That sounds like a great plan," he said softly. Zinnia softy chuckled. "You know what's also a great plan?" Momo, gazing into her eyes, pulled one eyebrow up: "What?" "You kissing me now." She didn't have to ask him twice.
