Hi, I hope you are having a nice day.
Can I request The Arcana main 6 comforting a S/O that has social anxiety?
I completely understand if you don't want to because it's a complicated matter or you simply don't want to. So don't even worry about it ♡.
 thanks for requesting! :)
I'll try to write this as best I can, If i get anything wrong please tell me and I'll fix it as soon as possible !! (I got a little stuck on some of the scenarios so I might come back and fix them later on but i hope you like them anyways <3)
M6 With and s/o that has social anxiety
Tumblr media
Asra
he understands,
they might not experience it himself but they try to listen to anything you say about it
you end up coming up with a tiny solution, more of a distraction
if you have to do something in public and your social anxiety’s being a pain, He’ll let you mess with their hands, or Faust will make you hold her.
He knows that there’s no way to fully “cure” your social anxiety so they’ll try to help in any way possible.
They try not to let you suffer it alone, he’s always there for you.
At least the shop isn’t the most famous place in town?
You start to feel the pit in your stomach, the nervousness. Before you can even try to overthink anything, Faust is slithering across your hands. “Friend! Calm?” You let a small smile slip. “It’s helping, Thank you Faust.” You drag a finger down her scales and she lets a shiver run through her. Asra is watching, smiling in awe at his familiar and favorite person. Yeah, he definitely got lucky.
Julian
you don't even have to tell him fully
his medical school background included mental illnesses,
while he knows you probably have your own ways of helping yourself, he wants to be able to help as well.
even if helping means just sitting in silence or cuddling at the end of the day
please tell him if he's attracting too much attention to the both of you
it's his natural environment to be in the spotlight, but he'll keep you out of it if you'd prefer
(let's be honest you obviously prefer it that way)
You groaned as you came home. Today sucked. You had to put yourself way out of your comfort zone, which resulted in that awful feeling in your chest and stomach. You had been nervous the entire day. Julian looked up from his stack of papers as you closed the door. He gave a sympathetic look, and opened his arms for a hug. "Let's go get ready for bed my dear." When you finally hit the bed, Julian basically turns you into a burrito. But it’s comforting, and he knows it. let’s hope you don’t mind being stuck with him bc ur kinda stuck in those blankets.
Nadia
She apologizes in advance
unfortunately for the both of you, being the countess and her lover puts you both in the spotlight.
she tries to keep you out of situations if she can but sometimes she either needs you or the situation requires both of your attention
when she does need you to address and issue with her she'll hold your hand, and chandra will be picking at your hair from time to time
please ignore the courtiers, all of them are kind of a pain besides volta
Nadia will give you ways to escape if she can tho <3
You tried to ignore the nausea that hit you as the courtiers all turned their eyes toward you. It was bad enough they were foul in court, but it felt like they were all laughing at you. Nadia placed a hand on your waist for support. “Ah, My apologies. It seems that there’s something we need to tend to. Excuse us,” There wasn’t really anything to tend to. Maybe a relaxing bath but who are you to complain?
Muriel
social anxiety bffs
no fr you both just cling to each other in social gatherings, Asra thinks it’s absolutely adorable
Muriel does know how bad it can be, so he helps in ways he thinks might work for you
Maybe it’s convincing Inanna into making your lap her chair for the day, or letting you hide behind him if you need to.
he’s so sweet about it, but truth be told you both try to avoid the big social settings
If you can’t avoid it you’re either together or complain afterwards
You planted yourself on the bed with a grunt. You’d had to go out and you got separated from muriel. That made today hell for the both of you, especially you. You’d been in the palace at a certain point, having to deal with some problems with Nadia. The palace is the exact opposite of where you want to be. A creak of the door opening pulled you from your thoughts. Muriel walked through the door, walking over to join you on the bed (as best as he could). Inanna laid herself beside the two of you. Even she felt exhausted. You snuggled your way in Muriels arms, finding a way to let Inanna in on the cuddle pile. “I’m never doing that again” “..me neither..”
Portia
oh you poor thing </3
she’s very adventurous, which can sometimes mean trouble, or even confrontation
if she sees that there’s confrontation coming she absolutely hides you somewhere and takes the blame lmao
does not let your social anxiety change her view of you at all, she still bugs you just as much to go out on adventures
pepi is your designated anxiety reliever
she’ll purr and lay in your lap to give you the perfect excuse to not move or go somewhere
Portia giggled at you, looking at the little ball of fluff on your lap. Pepi turned to be on her back. "Look at you two!" She placed a kiss on your cheek, giving pepi a little belly rub. "Pepi's been helping you unwind huh? guess I taught her well!" You let out a little giggle, pulling Portia into the chair beside you. You both spend the rest of your evening babying your favorite kitty and relaxing to the best of your abilities.
Lucio
I apologize for him
he's always gonna be attracting attention and i don't think you'd ever want to be in public with him
but he really does try to keep himself quiet for you!
since he's no good at that he tries to give you times to be alone with him and not bring spotlight to the both of you,
you really try to be near him but it doesn't really work out
the dogs will bark at him if he puts you in an uncomfortable situation, you can bet your life on it
Lucio knew parties weren’t your thing. That’s why you stayed up in his wing, away from where everyone was drinking and cheering. As much as he loves a party, he knows you’re more important. With Mercedes pulling on his suit he’s practically running through the halls to not fall over. She only lets go when you’re all in the same room. Melchior gives his sister a proud huff as you both decide it’s (absolutely) time for the party to end if Lucio wants you to survive in this castle. At least when everyone leaves you and the puppies get to give Lucio a piece of your minds :)

jealous jujutsu kaisen characters <3
ft. itadori yuuji, gojou satoru g/n!reader (sfw, with some suggestive themes in gojou)
itadori yuuji - watching itadori get jealous is a bit cute, if you're being honest. i mean, take what happened in the grocery store yesterday. ~ "yuuji, we're out of rice," you say to him, re-checking your list. "we're out of rice??? impossible. i just had some yesterday." you sigh. "be that as it may, that doesn't change the fact that we don't have it anymore. can you grab it really fast?" he pouts a bit. you're not sure if he genuinely doesn't want to leave your side or if he's just stalling to remember where the rice aisle is. regardless, you don't want to stand here all day. "yuuji, i'll give you a kiss as a reward if you get it for me." he perks up immediately, giving you a grin and a thumbs up before dashing in the opposite direction. you smile to yourself. itadori may have been an idiot, but he's your idiot. the thought warms your heart. you push your cart of the produce section and into a large selection of rows, choosing one closest to you. you seem to be in the tea aisle. oh good, you think. we've been out of tea for a couple of days now. you peruse the section, picking up some green tea. you get some chamomile as well, stacking the boxes carefully so they won't get crushed by fruits. mmm what about chai? you search the boxes, only to see it's at the very top self. you reach up, fingers just barely touching the platform it's on. you can't even brush up against the box. you try standing on tiptoes, looking a bit silly as you try to extend your body beyond its natural length. you're thinking maybe you should wait for itadori to get back when a different hand easily plucks the box off the shelf. you follow the hand to its owner, to see it belongs to a tall guy about your age. he's cute you suppose, but it's no itadori. still, you smile sweetly and charm him with a "thank you! there was no way I was going to reach that." He smiles broadly back at you. "No problem," he replies. "You like chai tea?" You want to be polite and he's nice enough, so you respond "definitely! I don't know if it's my favorite, but it's a staple in my pantry." He blushes a bit, and scratches his hand behind his neck. "Yeah, same," he says. "There's actually a really nice café that opened up a few blocks away from here. They make a mean cup of chai, and they have these delicious little cinnamon rolls that go really well with them. If you're free any time soon, do you want to try one with me?" You open your mouth to politely turn him down when you feel a protective arm wrap around your waist. You turn your head to see a pink-cheeked itadori glaring at the stranger. he does look mad, but you also think he just looks so cute. ah, the duality of man. "oh, hi yuuji! did you get the rice?," you ask him. you have priorities, after all. "yeah," he says, not moving his arm or his gaze. "who's this, love?" oh, he's really jealous if he's pulling out the love. you try to defuse the situation. "oh, this guy just helped me get some tea from the top shelf. thanks again!" you say. the guy was not expecting a wild itadori to emerge from the tall grass, and is trying to figure a way out. "no problem," he repeats. "i'll see you around, yeah?" without waiting for a response, he puts the tea in your cart and walks away. "did you know that guy?" you ask, as itadori relaxes and puts the rice in the cart. "no, but it sure looks like you did," he says, a bit annoyed. "yuuji, are you jealous?" you tease. "no! of course not!" he retorts. his cheeks are still pink though, and now he's looking around like he expecting another guy to run through and sweep you up in their arms. you decide to take mercy on him, and tug one of his hands in your own. "hey, don't i owe you a reward for getting my rice?" he perks up, and flicks his gaze almost imperceptibly towards your mouth. you sweetly press his lips to his cheek, and smile innocently when he gives you an annoyed look. you turn around to go the cart, only to see that the tea guy has returned. itadori sees him too, and he looks mad again. however, instead of confronting him, he looks at you and says,
"c'mon, i meant a real kiss." he gently places his hands on your face and pulls you in. it's a light, yet passionate kiss. the rhythm is slow and soft, but there's a definite intensity behind it. his tongue has just swiped your bottom lip, entering your mouth when you remember that you're in public. you pull away and glance at the end of the aisle. the guy is gone. you glance at itadori. he is grinning triumphantly at you. you smile in spite of yourself, going back over to the cart. "yuuji?" he comes over, wrapping his arms around you and placing his head over your shoulder. "yes, my love?" "you got the wrong kind of rice." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ gojou satoru - a jealous gojou is not a good gojou. if you think he's annoying normally, it's about to get so, so, so much worse. ~ "satoru please!" you beg. you're feeling desperate now, there's no other way out. you two have gone to the park for a picnic to savor one of his rare days off. the spot you chose was warm and sunny with few people around; the day was supposed to be lovely. and it was, at least for a while. you had spent just the last hour cloud-watching, peacefully pointing out odd shapes in the sky. really though, you were just taking an excuse to lay on his stomach and talk. you two get so little time together like this that you try to savor every moment. however, in your analysis of a banana-shaped cloud far on the horizon, you noticed a familiar shape. the shape of your ex, to be precise. you stiffen, and gojou notices. "hey," he says. "what's wrong?" you don't respond immediately; your mind is swirling with schemes to avoid them. if you guys packed up now, could you go without being noticed? no, you were too close. could you hide? no, there wasn't anywhere to duck behind. you had to stop time somehow, but how? gojou waves his hand over your face. "hey? everything ok down there? have you gone into the void?" he asks. you start to glare at him, but then his words hit you in the face. the void. he can draw your ex into the void while you make a hasty getaway. you sit up, dropping your angry look and switching to a more saccharine one. "satoru," you start. "can you do a favor for me?" he gives you an easy smile. "of course, anything for you," he replies. "great, can you trap the person in the white shirt over there into the infinite void?" that certainly gets his attention. "i'm sorry, what?" he asks incredulously. "ok, so that's my ex over there. things ended kind of...awkwardly, and I just don't want to deal with this right now. could you trap them into the void before they notice me?" "i don't think the relationship was the thing that was awkward love. maybe you should just, you know, face the problem head on?" he suggests. "it can't be that bad. and even if it is, at least it'll be entertaining. actually, i'll give you two some privacy!" he says cheerfully, and promptly leaves. that brings you to your current predicament. you could be responsible and mature, but that would involve getting over your breakup. you may have slightly understated the awkwardness of the situation. truthfully, you got dumped and you pined over your ex for weeks afterward. you especially did not take it when when you were being broken up with. you begged them not to leave you while crying, making quite the scene in the restaurant they had chosen. now, with no lingering emotions, you just feel guilty and embarrassed for how you acted. but that was in the past, and you could move past that as long as it wasn't walking up to you. and now with gojou walking away, and them walking up...oh no. oh no oh no ohnonono. you take a deep breath in, and breathe out. i'm not the same person i was then, you think to yourself. this thought steadies your nerves; in fact, maybe gojou was right. you have been wondering what they’ve been up to, after all, and you might stop feeling guilty if you apologize. a bright and cheerful “hey!!” jolts you out of your thoughts; there they are. “hey,” you respond, a bit less cheerfully. you push yourself up off the ground to
greet them, and are a bit surprised when they pull you into a hug. it’s a more intimate hug than you would have guessed, with their hands snaking around your waist and gently cradling your head. they smell...nice, you think to yourself. as you pull away, you feel watched. you’re not sure from where, since you can’t see him, but you know gojou is watching you. well, good. he refused to help you out of this mess, so maybe you’ll make him suffer a bit. neither one of you say anything for a second.. “so….i guess how are you?” they ask you, smiling. “i’m great,” you reply. “how are you?” you ask. “good.” you stand there, neither one of you wanting to interrupt the delicate silence. “so,” you both say at the same time. you guys laugh, and just like that, the weird silence dissipates. “you go first,” they say to you. “well, i just want to say that i’m sorry. i know breaking up was probably hard for you, but i think i just made it harder by, you know, being unable to let us go. that was unfair to you and it definitely made things harder for me, so i’m really sorry about that.” “oh, wow,” your ex say, a bit surprised. “well, that sort of contrasts what i’m about to say. i was going to say that you were right.” huh? what? you furrow your eyebrows together, and stare back with a bemused expression. “i was right?” you venture. “about...what?” your ex sheepishly scratches the back of their head, giving you an embarrassed smile. “about us, i mean. you kept telling me that we were better together, and that we would only be unhappy apart. i know it’s been a while since we were together, but lately it’s all i can think about. i….still think i love you.” well, that was a bombshell. you just stare at them, stunned into silence. “sorry, i know that this is way too much for just meeting again; you just looked so beautiful and it reminded me of when we were together and i just miss being together and -- ah, i’m rambling like a crazy person now, aren’t i?” they wryly ask. you giggle. “just a bit,” you respond. they take your hands into theirs, tracing their thumb lightly over your skin. their eyes are honest, and their face is hopeful. “i know this is really sudden, but would you maybe want to get dinner with me soon? you don’t have to, of course, but…?” they pull one hand out, and drift it up to your face, caressing your jawline with such care that if you were not previously engaged, you might have melted into their arms right there. but you already had a boyfriend, even if he was an annoying one. you thought briefly about pretending to accept their offer, just to needle him, but decided against it. instead, you just kindly smiled at your ex, and pull their hand from your face. “this is really sweet,” you say. “but, unfortunately, i’m already taken.” their face falls, but they quickly mask it with a smile. “ah, i get it. someone as amazing as you would get snapped up fast. it was just my mistake to let you go,” they say, pulling back. “well, why don’t we start over with this. how about instead of a romantic dinner date, we just get coffee sometime. no love attached,” they add. “sure,” you respond. “i have been wanting to know what you’ve been up to.” “same here, how about tomorrow at 11?” they ask. “it’s a date!” you joke. “now, what’s a date?” you hear a familiar, slightly pouty voice from behind you. of course. why wouldn’t gojou appear at the worst possible time. you turn to your boyfriend, who has a shit-eating grin on his face. he’s planning something, but what? “hey ‘toru, this is my ex." you face your ex. "this is my boyfriend, gojou satoru." your ex smiles at him, blissfully unaware. "nice to meet you. we were just planning on getting some coffee soon." “oh, is that so? you’re not trying to steal my love away from me, are you?” there’s no threat in his voice, no hostility, but all the same your ex seems to pick up on his vexing energy and straightens up a little bit. “no, of course not,” they say. “hmmm, i believe you. but all the same, i could have sworn i heard talk of
a date. that reminds me love, weren’t we just finishing up on a date ourselves?” you sigh. “yes, we were.” turning to your ex, you turn back to say goodbye. that, however, is cut off by your lovely boyfriend picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder like a sack of flour. shocked, you pound your fists against his back. “gojou satoru, put me down right now.” gojou ignores you, instead sticking one hand out to shake your ex’s hand. “sorry to cut this short, but we simply must finish our date back at our place. wish i could invite you, but this is a more private activity.” he cheerfully states. mortified, you start kicking him and hitting him even harder. “ ‘toru! put me down so i can dump you right here and now!” “ahh, can’t have that now. we’d best get going so that someone learns a lesson, see you around!” with that and a quick sweep down to gather the picnic supplies, gojou carries you kicking and screaming out of the park. once outside, he puts you down. “satoru, what the absolute hell was that??? that was so embarrassing!” you cry out. “it was your idea to let me deal with that, and then you swoop in once it’s all taken care of? now they’re going to think i’m...i’m... i don’t even know what they’ll think of me, but i’m sure it won’t be positive!” “shhhh,” says gojou. “you might make a scene.” if you were mad before, well, now you’re apoplectic. “a scene???? i might make a scene?” you spit out seethingly. the entire way home, you tear into him for embarrassing you in front of your ex and an entire park full of people. finally, you get home and you drop the j-word. “and all this because you were just jealous??” now that you’ve dropped the threshold of your front door and pulled the trigger, gojou’s entire demeanor shifts. he drops the picnic supplies and picks you up again, but instead of going over his shoulder you’re now up against the wall. you instinctively wrap your arms and legs around him to keep from falling, skillfully intertwining your bodies together. his blindfold has slipped off, and now his piercing blue eyes are pouring into yours with a powerful intensity. your previous angry words slip off into the void, as you’re transfixed by the way he’s staring at you. he leans forward to rest his forehead against yours, the tips of your noses just barely touching. “yeah,” he breathes. “i got jealous. i let an ex come up to you and try to take you away, and i only sat there and watched. i knew you would never cheat on me, but i just got annoyed with myself for encouraging that. you mean too much to me to just let you be taken by someone else, so i really wanted to get you out of there as fast as possible. so, yeah, i’m sorry for embarrassing you. let me make it up to you?” it’s hard to say no in this position, but you try to hold your resolve. “satoru, you just can’t do that. promise me you’ll never do that again?” he’s still looking at you with that seriousness, so he replies “yes” with uncharacteristic sincerity. there’s nothing out of character though about the way he moves in to kiss you though, full of desire and need. you fall into a steady rhythm, a sweet push-and-pull of dominance flicking between you two. gojou suddenly takes over, and just as suddenly, he pulls away and starts carrying you to the nearest flat surface. “let me show you how much you mean to me, yeah?”

Fade Out Again (Thom Yorke X Reader)
For @shehangsbrightly
prompt: honestly i would be allll over the bends era thom, and i think something angsty is what i’m feeling rn. do your magic 😌
Gender Neutral and SFW
CW: angst, burnout, arguments, swearing, guilt, break up, bad mental health.
“I really don’t know what you want from me! I thought you’d be happy to see me after, I don’t know? Nearly a year? But no, I’m the bad guy as always!”
“You think that you’re the only one this tour has taken a toll on? I haven’t been in the comfort of my own home in a year. I haven’t seen my friends or family in a YEAR! You can’t always expect to be my top priority!”
“Obviously. You know, every tour you do the more of a self-centered asshole you become. Just because your band is ‘making it big’ doesn’t mean you have to treat the people in your life like shit, Thom! It isn’t just me. Ed literally has told me numerous stories from when you got too drunk to even perform! You promised.”
“Oh enough of that promise bullshit Y/N! I’m sick of it!”
“Well, that shows how much you fucking cared about it, huh? Shows what a promise means to you? You’re pathetic. The amount of love and support I have poured into you since fucking college and one hit song throws every promise and hope for our future away.”
“Oh fuck off.”
I let out a dry laugh and walked to our bedroom. I grabbed a suitcase and packed as much as I could shove into it.
“What are you doing now?”
“Fucking off. I’m done, Thom. Absolutely done.”
“Yeah sure. You won’t last more than two days Y/N, and you know it. We’ve been through this before.”
I stormed towards him, his back colliding with the wall. I looked into his eyes, trying to look for any sign of remorse in his cold, blue orbs.
“Not this time Thom. I’m tired of crawling back to you with hopes that things will be how they used to again. I am tired of endlessly longing for you to return the love I give to you. You’ve changed and if this is you now? I want no part of it.”
He scoffed and looked away from me.
“Anything to say? Or are you too good for that, Mr. Big Rockstar?”
“Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.”
I scoffed and grabbed my stuff. I stormed out onto the snowy streets. It was freezing but I didn’t dare look back. It felt like I had been walking for hours before I found a phone booth. I put the change in the slot and dialed the only number I could remember through my rage.
“Hey, Eddie? It’s Y/N..”
“What happened this time?”
“Well, what usually happens when he gets home I suppose. Are you busy?”
“Need somewhere to stay?”
“Ye-ah.” My voice cracked as tears swelled my eyes.
“Where are you, I’ll be there as soon as I can?”
---
It had been nearly two months since we broke up and not a word was spoken between us. Ed had generously let me rent out the spare room in his house until I got my shit together, which did not seem to be happening. All I could seem to do was cry, work, and sleep. Eddie was wonderful and tried to help when he could, but he tended to keep his distance. At some point, I knew Thom would end up stumbling into the house, however, I did not expect to hear his voice breaking downstairs as he talked to Ed.
Thom’s POV
“Ed, it’s driving me mad! Do you know where they are, have you heard from them, anything?”
“If they wanted you to know where they were, they would’ve contacted you. I can’t really help you, man.”
“I just. I can’t do this anymore. I need them, so badly. You don’t fucking understand.” I crumbled to the ground in tears. “It’s my fault. Every time they leave it’s my fault and- and I just expect them to come back. What happened to me, Eddie? What... happened?”
“Thom. You’re the only person who’s gonna be able to fix this and you know it. I’m not helping you anymore. We’ve been through this too many times. I’m not a fucking couples counselor!” He grabbed his hair in frustration.
“You… You too? You’re supposed to be my best friend, and you’re giving up on me too?”
“You know what, Thom? That’s your problem. You can’t take any fucking responsibility for anything, can you? It’s always somebody else’s fault with you!”
I couldn’t even form a response. My thoughts spiraled rapidly as I tried to figure out where everything went to shit.
“I-I’m so-rry. I don’t know what to do, a-and I don’t mean to throw it all on you, Eddie, you… You’re just always so good with this stuff and you know them so well and- and- and..”
“Thom,” He held his head in his hand, “take a breath. There’s no need for all the blubbering.”
“But-”
“Just shut up for a minute okay? I’ll be right back.”
He marched up the stairs and disappeared. A few minutes later he came back down. Followed by Y/N.
Y/N’s POV
His face was tear-stained and puffy. He was in a pile on the floor looking as hopeless as an abandoned puppy.
“Y/N..”
I felt my jaw clench as I looked at him. I wanted to slap him and yell at him for everything he put me through, but my body betrayed me. Instead, I found myself kneeling in front of him, arm reaching out to cup his face in my hand. Tears streamed down his cheeks once again as he rested in my palm. He turned to kiss my fingertips.
“I’m sorry Y/N… I took you for granted. I thought you would always come back, and this time you didn’t, and my ego left with you. I need you, I need you so badly love. I can’t do this without you. Please I will do anything to have you back… Please.” He was barely speaking and as he whispered he looked me in the eyes for the first time in years.
“I... I can’t, Thom.”
His posture snapped to attention and I watched his heart shatter again.
“Why not..?”
“You hurt me.”
Tears of my own now mimicked his.
“Please.”
“Thom, stop.”
“I can’t. I can’t because I love you, and if you ever loved me then you would come back.”
“Don’t you fucking dare with that bullshit Thomas.”
I stood and walked away, but he followed.
“Love doesn’t go away Y/N, you told me that yourself. If you loved me you wouldn’t walk away like this. You’re really willing to throw everything away like that?”
“Stop. Thom, I- I can’t do this, just go.”
“I’m not leaving without you.”
“And I’m not leaving with you.”
He approached me and gently grabbed my hands, giving me the same damn look he did every time he wanted to get his way.
“No, Thom. Stop. Please.”
“One more chance, that’s all I ask. If I fuck it up again I promise you will never hear from me again. I’ll take you on the next tour, I’ll let you get a puppy like you’ve always wanted. Literally, anything you want is yours. You don’t ever have to work again. Just, please?”
“You still don’t get it. I don’t want material things or money. I don’t, well I do want a puppy,” We chuckled, “But that’s not why I left. All I want is your love, some of your time and attention. I want to feel safe with you. I want to feel at home. I don’t feel like that with you anymore. The only feelings that run through me when I look at you are sadness and insecurity. You make me feel like a child being scolded by their mother. I just can’t live like that again.”
“I promise that I will fix what needs to be fixed and will do anything I can to make you feel safe again, just trust me.”
“We both know promises aren’t your thing.”
“I’ll keep this one.”
“I can’t believe that, Thom.”
“I’ll let Ed take over the band if I break this promise and I will never perform with Radiohead again.”
“Oh, shove off you lunatic! I’m not worth that. Your fans would have my head.”
“I’m serious.”
“You make everything so hard on me.”
“Jesus, Y/N would you please just say yes? All you have done the past two months aside from work is cry and sleep. I can barely get you to eat. Just get it over with. If he fucks you over again I will personally skin him alive, just, get it over with you two!”
Thom looked at me hopefully. I sighed.
“Fine.”
“THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!”
He planted kisses all over my face and pulled me into a tight hug.
“Jesus, Thom, you smell! When was your last shower?”
“I... I have no clue,” He scratched his neck and looked at the ground.
“I mean, you are rank! You smell like a secondary boys locker room after P.E.”
“Okay, in my defense, I didn’t think you were going to be here.”
“Yeah, so it’s okay that I suffer in your stench then?”
“Well, we’ve shared a tour bus, I figure that you’re used to it by now.”
“Well, by that logic, if Y/N is coming on tour with us, they better get used to it too, because you’ve smelled worse after a show.”
“Lovely.”
He laughed and engulfed me in a hug again. I gave in and dug my face into his neck, letting him rock us side to side.
“Let’s get you home then, yeah?”
“If anyone needs to get home it’s you so you can shower!”
“We can shower together if you’d like.”
“Okay, yeah, if you could leave the dirty talk for the car ride home it would be appreciated.”
We laughed once again.
“I’ll go pack,” I placed a soft kiss on his cheek before walking up the stairs.
“I love you, Y/N!”
“I love you too Thom.”

My thoughts on Seabound!!! 🌊🌊🌊 (3/4)
SPOILERS ALERT!!!
Yep yep yep, I'm liking this season a lot! 😍 Although I hope we'll get into a more frantic situation now, like with more battles and more bonding moments (Nya and Maya hopefully, but with Bentho too 🦈🦈🦈)! We got half a season to go, I'M READY!! 😎😎
Alright, here we go!
GENERAL THOUGHTS
I do like the season a lot, maybe MoM was a little more cohesive? Idk but it's not a big complain, I still love it so far 😍
Also maybe I would've liked more interactions between Nya and Maya about how they've been apart for so long, they had a chit chat but I would've loved even more. Maybe with Nya saying that it was fine and she grew up only to realize she is still hurt by that, even though it wasn't Maya's fault. I still like how they did it, I wished there was more that's it 🤷‍♀️
While I do make sense to Maya's behavior, that while it seems a little different from Hands of Time it had its logic in my opinion, maybe Ray feels a little weird? He seems less courageous than before, and it was established that he is a hothead like his son so that came off as unusual 🤔🤔
But I do love the fact that he's here and he's bonding with his son, for real, I've been waiting for this for so long so I'm happy nonetheless 🤩
Maybe I'm just easy to please and I take all I can get idk 😅
THE STORM AMULET
Oh, are we gonna address the wind element? It feels like we haven't really seen a Morro reference since Hands of Time, that would be cool! 😍 I mean, why even mentioning the wind then 😅😅
Well what do you know, they tracked them, who saw that coming?... me, I saw that coming... we all did probably 🤷‍♀️
Jay took upon himself making a quick recap on how Ninjago will be destroyed this time, thanks Bluebell 👌
Yep nyeheh electricity makes Nya go crazy for sure ❤💙 ... wait it wasn't a Jaya pun?
Jay wear your seatbelt please, you risk you life enough 😅😅 Pff lol "are we there yet" and they are actually there, biggest plot twist I've ever heard of 😂
LEGO HUG 💜💜💜
Tumblr media
And with someone who might as well join the League of Jay apparently 💙
I liked The Island yet it was not as exciting as I hoped for, but now understand the meaning of it. The ninja helped the keepers and they are all allies. Without The Island the moment where Mammatus gives Nya the amulet wouldn't be as meaningful
Is it just me or Nya looked even more gorgeous during that moment?... just me huh? Okay then 😂💕
Wait that's a fake? Wait... UNCLE POWERS?!? OMG THAT I ACTUALLY DIDN'T SEE COMING 🤯
Here I thought he was just messing around, he always makes things harder 😅 Or maybe better? I mean, they kinda missed a bullet on this one...
BENTHO IS SO SWEET AND COOL OMG HE IS ALREADY OUR FRIEND 💙🦈💙🦈
Jay somehow had his own TV show in the past and yet he's got that horrible acting skills wth 😂😂😂
Kalmaar is a very cool villain, like, deeply evil. Not only he's calculated and merciless, he stops at nothing to get what he wants. And the people that get in the way? He wants them to suffer because they had dared to confront him 😳
And yes the voice does help a lot, I'm sorry I'll keep saying it until the season is over 😂 (or even beyond? Please cast Giles again LEGO 🥺🥺🥺)
Awww Nya no my poor girl 😢 Jay wanted to hug her to comfort her he is so sweet my SHIP ❤💙❤💙
MOM PEP TALK MOM PEP TALK!!! 🤩🤩🤩 How cool was it?
Like, this isn't even Maya asking Nya to believe in herself, this is her saying that she KNOWS her daughter can do anything when she puts her mind into it. FINALLY SHE SEES HOW AMAZING WATER GODDESS IS 💜💜💜
MORE LEGO TEARS OMG THIS SEASON IS FILLED WITH TEARS 😱 Which... kinda makes sense considering it's a water based season 😂
Nice one, and now? NOW WE GO BACK TO KAI COLE AND RAY YAS!!! ❤🖤❤🖤
RIDDLE OF THE SPHINX
That is... surprisingly Egypt theme like? It feels like a title coming from the Fire Chapter of season 11... well we got two fire elementals so 😍😍
SPARRING KAI AND RAY
Tumblr media
I REPEAT SPARRING KAI AND RAY!!! SPARRING KAI AND RAY!!! ❤❤❤ Lol Ray got old, but how can someone blame him? He did touch death while aging in Hands of Time, I'm just happy he is alive 😂
Yep, master prankster Wu, that's what I love 👌👌 I always thought Wu had become a father figure for Kai at the beginning, so seeing Ray and Wu in the same picture feels very wholesome to me 😚
Ah, uncle Powers, I both love you and hate you so freaking much 😌😌 But you make cool slides nonetheless 😂
ARE YOU TRYING TO KILL ME WITH BEAUTIFUL SMITH INTERACTIONS??
Tumblr media
BECAUSE I LIKE IT KEEP GOING 🤩
Oh no you guys are stranded on an island whatever are you going to do?? It's not like you had already before and managed to survive (Skybound) or you got stranded on a rock in a sea of sand filled with giant monsters (Fire Chapter) or you were on a freaking COMET in SPACE (Rebooted). Yeee, this is the worst yet 🙂
I'm starting to think these ninja are just a bunch of drama queens so no matter what happens, it's always hopeless 😂😂 I feel like I'm kinda right on this one honestly 😛
Whoa whoa WHOA WHO IS NYAD THIS SOUNDS VERY COOL???
Aww I like that, while Ray told his kids stories about dragons and how they traveled through the Underworld, Maya told them about Nya the first water master that could summon whales 💙❤💙❤
Pff imagine if it turned out Nya was the master of fire, carrying a very water based name? Lol
Maya: I would know if it was possible!
Nya: Yeah, like she knows that I can control a bit of ice because it's frozen water
Maya:...
Maya: YOU WHAT
I find both interesting and very annoying that this explorers club thinks so highly of themselves, to the point the deny to aid even the FREAKING SAVIORS OF THEIR FREAKING LAND 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
Misako got good reflexes after all, Kai was probably ready to melt this guy's face 😅
Oh, so a trial by Sphinx is a challenge? A mental one? A cultural one? A physical one? Idk but Misako is actually taking charge and that is cool I guess 🤷‍♀️
Okay this is kind of weird, how is Ray so afraid? Is it because there's fire?... did he... did he grow afraid of fire for some reason? Because it feels a bit off for now, but if there is a deeper meaning that could be interesting 🤔
Wait is that the riddle from Decoded? That's fire right?
IT IS FIRE 🔥🔥🔥
Lol at least in this one Kai wasn't completely ignored 😂 I know my flame babe isn't the most rational person, but I do like that it was an answer connected to his element where he used his head!
Ah Clutch, you really got no backbone 😅 And apparently you're the only explorer who doesn't, dang look at the others go! I'm having a bit more respect for them now 😚
LOOK AT SENSEI GO FINALLY!!! 😍😍 FIGHTING SCENES HECK YES!!!
Kalmaar: I'm your conquerer
Wu: so after skeletons, the serpentine, nindroids, the Stone Army, Chen's army, ghosts, oni, more snakes but on fire and people from a game, that makes you the tenth. Have a free cookie
Kalmaar:...
Wu: you're not special
Is this a little throwback to Possession too? Nya seems to always control better water when she doesn't actually think about it. When her feelings are free, so are her powers 🌊🌊🌊
Also this opens up more possibilities! Creatures connected with other elements might get summoned too! I would love something like that 😍😍
This was NEAT, or maybe I just missed Kai that much ❤ What's next??
PAPERGIRL
ANTONIAAAAAAAA!!!! MY GIRL IS BACK!!! All my girls are back in this season, I'm so happy 😍😍😍 And if she is here, sweet little Nelson has to be around and I cannot wait! Bring in the purple ninja! 💜
Owww Antonia's last day as a papergirl? Nooo why??
She's got a job at the... DAIRY DRAGON??? OMG OMG OMG IT'S THE ICE CREAM PLACE BRAGI TOLD US ABOUT ON TWITTER!!! 🤩🤩🤩 I remember the post, he was asking about names for the place and ice cream flavors. Now I can't wait to see what did he choose 🍦🍦🍦
UNAGAMI BABY HI HONEY!!! 🙋‍♀️ I hope he's doing great 😘😘
This is so cool honestly, Antonia got her own character arc going on! Living in a chaotic city like Ninjago City must be pretty dang exhausting 😅
Was... was that Dareth in the garbage can? Am I wrong? Poor brown ninja 😅🤎😅
SPINJITZU SWIRL, BANANAKHAN, ORANGE SERPENTINE, I'M DYING 😂😂😂
Their friendship is so wholesome, I'm so happy they are still together no matter what happens 💕
I thought Kalmaar wasn't much of a fighter but DANG he's got skills! Also the fact that he uses tentacles makes the fight very cool to watch! 😚😚
RAY RUNNING IN AFTER KAI GOT HURT HECK YES ❤❤❤
Well at least you tried Ray 😅
Ah, little cameo of the original Weekend Whip, always nice to hear it again... AND DO THE WEEKEND WHIP!!! 🌪🌪🌪
EVEN NELSON GOT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT I'M SO PROUD 💜
I don't even know what is cooler, the kids being mad lads on their bikes, Kalmaar driving a TRUCK or Kai going full parkour on the buildings to follow them 🤯
I'm sorry... am I the only one that during the Kai and Kalmaar talk kinda thought of Jestro and Clay? I miss my boys from NK, they're even more at odds now 😭😭
KAI YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DIE OR EVEN TRY TO DIE GET BACK HERE AT ONCE 😱😱
Kalmaar just loves to make everyone feel inferior, gotta be his hobby 😶
Oh good Kai is back
OH NOT GOOD KAI IS NOT BREATHING?!? FLAME BABE I TOLD YOU YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DIE 😱😱😱
Tumblr media
Antonia, Nelson, you guys are now my heroes. You saved my fave, I'll be forever in dept with you ❤❤❤ Am I being overdramatic? Most likely, but Kai is one of the few that didn't almost die or did die in a dramatic situation and he is also my absolute favorite character so that... kinda keeps my sanity in check in this show 🥴
I wonder... does he still not know how to swim? He saved Lloyd in Possession but I wonder if he was only trying to float on the surface... THAT'S TERRIFYING
This episode was so adorable, I love Antonia and Nelson so much 💜💕💜💕 It's nice to see what the other people of Ninjago do while everything goes mad 🤣
Wait hang on my Ninjajan is a little rusty
Tumblr media
"Ninjago City. City that never sleeps" well if that ain't the truth 😂
MASTER OF THE SEA
Like Master of the Mountain? Wait are we going back to Shintaro?? VANYA?? ANOTHER BEST GIRL RETURNS??? 💛
Hey hey hey, we got a full Nyad backstory! I really like when they do these little drawn shots, they feel more like legends! And... the ending sounds terrifying? Like, they wouldn't let Nya sacrifice herself and die... again... right? 😱
Bentho: and the world was in balance, until now because of my brother
Lloyd: and the Overlord before of course
Bentho: the what now?
Lloyd: the evil one my grandpa the first Spinjitzu Master fought?
Bentho: YOUR WHAT NOW
Why do I like this offscreen "hiiiyaaa" that sensei Wu does before actually going into the scene? 😂😂
No matter if they come from the underground or the sea, these are all snake-like creature with the same intellect 😅 Kalmaar and Garmadon would have a lot to talk about, sea king dealing with his minions does remind me of Lord Garmadon in season 2 a lot 😂😂
KAI AND RAY FIGHTING TOGETHER KAI AND RAY FIGHTING TOGETHER ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤
OMG Kalmaar is such a brat and petty villain I love him so much 😂😂😂 Yes I didn't even mention his amazing voice!... AH DANG IT 😳😳
*Misako kicks Kalmaar and is actually useful* 🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️🙆‍♀️
*Misako gets taken as hostage immediately after* 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️
KAI LITERALLY JUST GOT SAVED FROM DROWNING WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO HIM!!!... and Ray and Cole and Wu of course, I care okay 😅
OMG that face 🤣🤣🤣
Tumblr media
That some meme material right there
Whoa Vincent that voice just got super up when the Unsinkable showed up, it kinda sounded like Jay's lol
NO NOT BENTHO!!! 😢😢😢
Kai: Nya talks to whales now? (I snorted so hard at this 😂😂)
HECK YES NYA GOT THE AMULET!! 😍😍😍 ... we got, like, four more episodes to go so something needs to happen in between... do I need to be scared? I feel like I need to be scared 😅
Jay starting a fire then blaming Kai?... this is so in character I got chills 😂😂
SHARK BOY IS STAYING TO THE MONASTERY THIS IS SO PRECIOUS!!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I want all the shenanigans and we need to write fanfictions about more shenanigans and AAAAHHHHH 🦈🦈🦈
Bless these two fire idiots
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They own my heart ❤🔥❤🔥 Also Vincent, this is supposed to be a fun little gag moment, your amazing voice acting is kinda distracting me 😭😭😭
ANOTHER LEGO HUG
Tumblr media
YOU GUYS ARE SPOILING ME OVER HERE HECK YES 💙🌊💙🌊
Maya learned that her daughter is capable of everything, I love that. Nya simply understood that she doesn't have to give up when something gets difficult. She is AMAZING and can do anything she puts her mind into. She simply has to hold on until the end 💪💪💪
Omg Benthomaar playing billiard with the guys I already love this 😍😍
YES IT IS SHINTARO!!! THE UPPLY ARE HERE OMG!!! HI VANYA YOU LOOK AMAZING GIRL MISS YOU I HOPE YOU'RE DOING OKAY!!! 💛💛💛 ... I just really like Master of the Mountain okay 😅
I love how Vanya doesn't even question it. It comes from Cole and he said it needs to be protected? Done and done 👌
Wait what, did something fall?
IS THAT THE FAKE?!?!? WHAT HOW WHEN??? UNCLE POWERS??? OR KALMAAR DID SOMETHING??? SOMEONE??? I'M LEGIT CONFUSED AND EXCITED??? 🤯🤯🤯
Well dang, I didn't see that coming, now what Seabound? What do you have for me?

Unrequited (One-Sided Okuyasu x Reader)
Anonymous asked: Hi do you think you can do a fic/scenario of Okuyasu suddenly realizing he has a little crush on Josuke’s s/o (the reader) who is also a part of the gang? And he’s kind of freaking out because that’s his bro’s girl! You can decide whether or not Josuke, his s/o, or both of them find out. If possible can it be fluff/comedy where the crush goes away after some weeks because I can’t handle hurting that sweet boy 🥺. But it’s totally up to you! I know I’d love it either way, you’re the best!
This is a fascinating request, thank you for sending it! I too love Okuyasu and I don’t want to make the poor dude sad, but sometimes it must be done unfortunately. Not too sad though! I hope you enjoy :)
It all started when you gave Okuyasu your favorite flower.
You had been standing outside the school building, waiting for your boyfriend Josuke to finish up his exam, when Okuyasu walked out of the doors wearing an utterly defeated expression. He didn't notice you at first, as he was staring sadly down at his shoes as he shuffled forward, so you called out to him. "Hey, Okuyasu!" you shouted, waving. He looked up at you and smiled, jogging over to your spot leaning against a tall tree.
"Hey, (Y/N)!" he said, waving back at you. "What're you up to - waiting for Josuke?"
"Yeah. Do you think he's almost done with the test?"
Okuyasu nodded. "Probably. I looked over at his paper while I was leaving and he seemed just about finished with the last page."
"Cool." You crossed your arms over your chest, sighing. "Was it hard? I heard from my friend that the practice exam was killer."
Okuyasu's expression fell again, and he nodded. "Yeah. I'm sure I failed it." He shrugged, forcing a smile back onto his face. "But I've never gotten good grades - no point in starting now!"
He laughed, but you could tell he was really bummed out about it. "Hey, it's alright to not get good grades. You know that, right?" He looked at you, eyebrows raised. "Seriously. Everybody has strong suits, and sometimes school just isn't one of them."
Okuyasu sighed, leaning his shoulder next to you against the tree. "I guess. I'm just not sure what any of my strong suits are, then." He cast his gaze downward.
"Are you kidding?" He glanced at you, eyes wide. "You're hilarious, dude! You always make me laugh, even when you're not trying to. You're the most effortlessly funny person I know."
His lips pulled up into a bashful little smile, and he looked away at the school doors. "I - I dunno about - "
"And you're always so positive! Whenever I'm in a bad mood you can always put a spin on whatever I'm upset about. I really admire that." You grinned, placing your hand on his arm. He looked down at your hand resting delicately on his forearm, and he instantly went bright red. "So those are some of your strengths. Remember that, okay?"
He forced himself to look back up at you, trying to pretend he wasn't completely flustered. "Y-yeah. I'll, uh... I will."
You smiled, relieved to hear that, and suddenly you pulled your hand away from Okuyasu and reached into your bag. "I almost forgot, I have something that I'd like you to have!" Okuyasu watched as you carefully pulled a large paper bag out of your schoolbag. It was a little wrinkled. "Just gimme a sec..." You slowly unfolded the bag and pulled out a small, vibrant yellow tulip. "Here!" You presented it to him with a beaming smile.
"Oh man, (Y/N)... I - wow," he managed to sputter out, taking way too long to grab the fragile flower from your hands. "Where'd you get this?"
"My friend's grandmother keeps a little garden in her backyard, and she knows yellow tulips are my favorite, so she grabbed some for me. I'm gonna go home and throw them in some water! They're really beautiful, huh?"
Okuyasu couldn't deny it: he was completely enamored. "Ah, yeah... They're really beautiful." You didn't seem to notice that he wasn't looking exclusively at the flower in his hands as he spoke. He blinked, realizing suddenly where he was and who exactly he was talking to, and he laughed loudly. "Yeah! This is sweet, (Y/N). I'll put it in a vase and put it in the kitchen! I bet my dad'll love it."
"Oh, yeah! I think he will!"
Okuyasu opened his mouth to thank you profusely again, but before he could, he heard a voice call your name from behind him. "(Y/N)!" Your eyes lit up the second you heard Josuke's voice, and you quickly excused yourself before jogging over to him and giving him a big hug.
"How was the test?" you asked him softly, leaning away and clasping his hand in yours.
"Fine, I guess. Last question threw me for a loop but I think I made out alright!" Josuke leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your forehead. When he looked up, he spotted Okuyasu, who was still standing frozen by the tree. "Yo, Okuyasu! What's up?"
Feeling suddenly and horribly awkward, Okuyasu slowly made his way over to you and Josuke. His already-weird walk felt even more unnatural than it usually did. "Uh, hey, Josuke!" Okuyasu said stiffly, waving his hand through the air. "So the test went alright?"
"Yeah, I think so. How about you?"
Okuyasu shrugged. "Oh, ya know." Josuke laughed a little, and Okuyasu forced himself to chuckle along with him. "But hey, I've gotta run home." Josuke blinked, looking confused. "I, uh... I'm gonna get a head start on my homework! Gotta make up for this shitty test, right?" he explained hastily, trying not to sound too weird.
"Totally. I'll see you around!" Josuke waved quickly at him and turned the other way, probably to head over to the cafe.
Okuyasu started to turn around as well to make his way home, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him. "Hey, Okuyasu."
He had never felt more nervous in his life. He slowly turned around to face you, sucking in a deep breath as he did. You pulled your hand back and tucked it in your pocket. "I was just thinking - if you want, we could study together. We're in different classes but we pretty much learn the same stuff. I think it would be really fun!"
Okuyasu had never blushed this much in his life, he was sure of it. "Ah... Sure! Sounds cool!"
"Great!" You really looked like an angel when you smiled at him. "I'll let you know tomorrow what times are good. I'll see you then!" You turned on your heel and started to run after Josuke, who had made it quite far with his long strides, but after a second you stopped and glanced back. "And don't forget to put the flower in water!" you shouted over your shoulder.
And just like that - you were gone. It was as if you had descended from the heavens to bless Okuyasu with your kindness and beauty. How had he never seen how lovely you were before? He felt like a buffoon, on two counts - that he hadn't realized how incredible you were until now, and that he was completely head over heels for his best friend's girlfriend. He had absolutely no clue what to do.
-----
That had been one week ago, and Okuyasu's still struggling with his monumental crush on you. For the past week, he's suffered immensely every time he's seen you; he seems to be unable to act like anything but an utter fool in your presence. Unluckily for him, today's the day of your little study meetup.
The tulip sits on his kitchen table as he slides his shoes on and heads outside, clutching his school bag. Before he's going to your place, he'll be meeting Koichi and Yukako for a quick drink at the cafe down the street.
He slides out the front door, peering nervously across the street at Josuke's house. He doesn't know how to tell his good friend that he's going on a study date - not a date, dumbass - with his girlfriend. Thankfully, though, it seems that Josuke isn't home. Okuyasu heaves a sigh and walks down the sidewalk with his dignity intact.
It doesn't take long to get to the cafe, and he finds Koichi and Yukako pretty quickly. "Hey, Okuyasu!" Koichi calls, waving him over. "We got you an iced tea," he says as Okuyasu sits down between the two of them at the circular table.
"How's it going?" Yukako asks as she sips a small cup of coffee. "You look stressed."
He does? Okuyasu self-consciously checks his reflection in his glass and frowns. "I'm not surprised." Suddenly, he reaches over and grabs Koichi's hands. "Koichi, dude," he says, looking horribly scared, "I'm in deep shit right now."
"What?" Koichi almost laughs out of sheer confusion, but mostly he just looks unnerved. "What are you talking about? I don't think I've ever seen you this upset."
"It's (Y/N)." Instantly, both Koichi and Yukako's eyes light up with recognition.
"Oh," Yukako says knowingly. "Yeah, we were wondering when you were gonna bring this up."
"What - wondering when?! What the hell do you mean?" Okuyasu's a little horrified by this news, but after a moment he resigns and dips his head. "...It's that obvious, huh?"
"Yeah." Koichi gently places his hand on Okuyasu's shoulder. "I think everyone we know can tell except for Josuke and (Y/N) herself."
"Are you serious?" Okuyasu groans, letting his face drop onto the table. "I just don't know what to do. I think I..." He mumbles this next part. "I think I love her."
"Hm?" Yukako asks, and Okuyasu pitifully lifts his head.
"I think I'm in love with her."
"Oh man." Yukako sighs and turns away. "I get that those are your feelings and you can't really stop them, but Josuke would be so upset to know that."
"Oh, that's rich coming from you!" Okuyasu jabs back, suddenly defensive. "What would you have done if Koichi had been dating a lovely young lady when you fell in love with him?"
Yukako falls silent, and she glances desperately to Koichi. After a brief standoff between the three of them, Koichi finally clears his throat. "You don't have to answer that," he mutters to his girlfriend, then he turns to Okuyasu. "Alright," he says, "point taken. You can't do anything about it. So you want advice, then?"
"Yes. Please." Okuyasu crosses his arms over his chest and sighs. "I've been totally agonizing over this all week."
"Well alright, I'll try." Koichi frowns and clasps his hands together. "Uh... There's really no good way to say this, but I think you're just gonna have to silently suffer."
"Come on, man." Okuyasu grimaces. "I think I know that."
"Okay! Sorry." Koichi thinks again. "Well... Just think about it like this. She's been your friend for a long time, right?" Okuyasu nods hesitantly. "Yeah! So just try to act like you always used to around her. It's not like she's changed at all - it's just your perception. So just remember that she's not trying to fluster you by being so sweet, because she just is sweet, and don't sweat it!" He finishes his little motivational speech with a winning smile.
"Uh..." Okuyasu really isn't sure how much that helped, but still he forces a smile. "Thanks, Koichi. You guys have really helped with my nerves." He reaches out and checks his watch; he's got ten minutes to get to your house. "Well, I should go!" He stands up and takes a deep breath. "I'll see you around!" He waves goodbye to Koichi and Yukako, the wonderful, wisdom-filled couple, and he's off.
-----
When he gets to your house, he's honestly too scared to ring the doorbell, so he just knocks on the door a couple times. For all of Koichi's great qualities, he's really not the best at quelling fears, so his lackluster speech hadn't really helped much. The walk over to your place had been nothing short of agony, and Okuyasu's honestly just looking forward to getting this over with.
Suddenly, the door swings open. "Okuyasu! I'm so glad you could make it."
The second he sees your face, he takes back everything he'd just thought. He feels so, so lucky just to be able to see you, and he'd hang out with you forever despite all his nerves if it meant being the recipient of that beautiful smile. "Ah - hey! Yeah, thanks for having me over."
"Come in! There's a table in the living room, I've got my school stuff in there." Okuyasu awkwardly shuffles into the doorway, kicking off his shoes and walking slowly down the hall to the living room. It's a quaint house, and it matches perfectly with your sunny attitude. "Do you want any tea?" you call from the kitchen. "I've already got hot water going."
"Sure!" he replies, entering the living room and sitting down with his school stuff at the table. He sits by himself and nervously fidgets with his sleeves; his anxiety is coming back with a vengeance. He really isn't sure how he's gonna get through this little study session.
After a minute, you arrive with two mugs of tea. "Here you go! It's just green tea, let me know if you want any honey." You set the mug down delicately in front of him, and the whole scene is so wonderfully domestic that it almost moves him to tears. He forces himself to get it together and quickly thanks you.
You sit down next to him and pull out your math papers, and Okuyasu quickly follows suit. "So is there anything in particular that you've been having trouble with?"
"Uh..." He wracks his brain, but his sheer proximity to you is making it a little difficult to think straight. "Well -  everything." He goes for the copout, not really caring that it makes him sound like an idiot.
"Then we can just do last week's stuff." You take out a pencil and get last week's notes ready. "So do you like your teacher? Mine's actually really nice!"
He glances over at you, raising his eyebrows. "Uh - yeah. My teacher's fine." You look like a pure ray of sunshine - how can one girl be so perfect? Josuke is unbelievably lucky.
The two of you run through a couple math problems while sipping tea and occasionally chatting about school life. It seems that Okuyasu's moved past his nerves and is now just feeling horribly sad that he can't profess his love to you right now. He can't believe that fate could be so cruel to have the love of his life date his closest bro. It really is a travesty in his eyes.
" - Okuyasu? Hey, you there?" He blinks, shaking his head a bit when you say his name. You giggle at the zoned-out look on his face. "There you are. I was just going over how to..." He zones out once again, this time thinking about how adorable your laugh is.
He isn't really listening to the technical math jargon you've been reciting, but he's certainly been paying attention. He watches the way you furrow your brow when you get to a tough problem, and the way your lips turn up at the corners when Okuyasu asks an obvious question. You really are perfect, he realizes as he studies you, and he doesn't think he'll ever be able to not love you -
"Oh, shit!"
Okuyasu jumps when your hand knocks into his mug, and it tips over and spills tea all over his math homework. "Shit, shit, shit..." You hop up and grab some towels before Okuyasu has even realized what happened. "I'm really sorry about that, dude. I can make copies of my notes at school tomorrow and give them to you!" Rather aggressively, you wipe up the tea and crumple up all of Okuyasu's papers to throw them out.
"It's - it's no problem." You had startled him out of his trance with your sudden accident, and he's in a weird headspace. He's honestly a little pissed off at you for ruining his notes. Obviously he doesn't voice that feeling, so he just watches you clean up the tea.
"It didn't get on you, did it?" you ask, looking over at him. He checks his t-shirt and shakes his head 'no.' "Okay, cool." You toss out the last dirty paper towel and sit down next to him. "If I can be candid for a moment... I was getting kinda bored of the math anyways." You laugh, and Okuyasu laughs a little too, mostly out of shock - you seem like a different person all of a sudden. "Do you just wanna play a video game or something?"
That's more up his alley. "Yeah, sure." You put your clean papers away and quickly set up the television. Okuyasu heads into the television room, and he notes that there's one nice, plush armchair and one folding chair set up in front of the TV.
"Do you want the nice chair?" you ask Okuyasu as you hand him the controller.
"Yeah, thanks!" He goes to sit down, but before he can you shove him out of the way and hop in the chair yourself. Shocked, he stumbles for a moment before righting yourself.
"Sike!" you shout, laughing loudly. "Got you!" Okuyasu laughs along with you as you start up the game.
It's a racing game, and almost instantly it gets intense. You clearly have a need to win, and so does Okuyasu. For a moment he considers letting you win, but that thought is dashed when you full-force punch his arm to keep him from taking the lead in one race. After a bout of incredulous laughter at that move, Okuyasu vows to do his best to decimate in this competition.
You both play the game for a couple hours, completely losing track of time and instead focusing on sweet, sweet victory. In the end, you and Okuyasu tie it up pretty evenly, and neither of you are too upset. "Nice work, dude," you say with a grin as you turn the TV off. "You've got skill."
"So do you, I guess," Okuyasu replies as he rolls his eyes. "Well, that was - " He catches a glance out the window and is shocked to find that the sun is setting. "When the hell did it get so dark out?" he mutters, grabbing his now-empty bag. "I gotta make dinner," he tells you as he slides his shoes on. "Thanks for having me over, (Y/N)!"
"Of course! I had a lot of fun. And sorry again about your papers, but a shiny new copy awaits you tomorrow." You pat him on the shoulder as he walks out the door, and just like that, the outing is over.
As Okuyasu makes his way home, he reflects on whatever the hell happened to him back there. When you had spilled his drink, it was as if something clicked - he still isn't quite sure what. All he knows is that is managed to snap him out of his trancelike state, and he ended up having a really great time.
It had been weird hearing you swear, too. You really don't seem like the kind of person who would - well, you do, actually. You are the person who had socked him in the arm to win a video game, after all. It feels to him like he'd been seeing you as some sort of goddess to be revered in the past week, when in actuality, you're just a close buddy and you deserve to be treated as such. It's a weird realization, but Okuyasu's glad he's reached it, for his sake and for yours. You're still beautiful, of course, but you're not the idealized girl he'd made up in his mind over the past seven days.
Josuke and you seem like a really great fit, now that Okuyasu thinks about it. You're both a little brash, but also extremely kind and caring. The two of you are a lovely match, and Okuyasu's really grateful that he gets to know both of you. He's also really, really grateful that this whole unrequited love dilemma is resolved.
-----
The next day, Okuyasu gets the copies from you first thing in the morning. After that, he heads to his class, where he meets up with Josuke at their desks in the back of the room. This is the first time in a week that he hasn't been scared shitless to talk to him.
"Hey, Okuyasu!" Josuke calls, and Okuyasu quickly takes his seat. "What's that?" he asks, gesturing to the notes.
"Oh, (Y/N) and I tried to do some studying yesterday but she ended up spilling tea all over my notes. So she made copies of hers this morning!" Okuyasu laughs a little, because it honestly had been funny when it happened, but Josuke's expression grows solemn. Okuyasu notices this a second later, and suddenly he's overtaken by dread. "Uh... Josuke, you alright?" he asks anxiously.
Josuke sighs and leans back, looking out the window. "I know you have a thing for (Y/N), you don't have to hide it."
"Woah!" Okuyasu feels himself laugh nervously, shaking his head. "No, no, I don't anymore. I swear, Josuke."
Josuke turns to him, eyebrows raised, and he shrugs. "It's fine. I'm not upset at you or anything, dude. I only would be if you acted on it - that would be really messed up."
"Oh, definitely!" Okuyasu nods vigorously in agreement. "I'd never do that." They both fall silent for a minute until Okuyasu finds the right words. "She's really something. You guys are a good pair."
"Haha, yeah." Josuke cracks a wide smile. "I really love her." He starts getting his school books out of his bag. "Somehow she was totally oblivious to how weird you were acting this week, so you're spared from that awkward conversation."
Okuyasu lets out a huge sigh. "Thank God." He gets the rest of his stuff out as well, and as the rest of the students start to trickle in, Okuyasu turns to Josuke with a relieved smile. "Thanks for being so understanding. I'm sorry for this week."
"You're my best friend! Something like this could never change that." Josuke reaches out and pats Okuyasu on the back. "For real though - we've gotta find you a girlfriend." Okuyasu snorts, and Josuke starts laughing with him. "Koichi, (Y/N), and I were gonna go to the school play this Friday if you wanna come with us. The girl playing the lead is a year above us and totally your type."
Okuyasu laughs loudly, garnering a couple looks from his classmates. "Yeah! Sounds good, I'll be there." And before Josuke can reply, the teacher starts taking attendance at the front of the room.
It's been a weird week for Okuyasu. He has a tendency to fall for girls pretty quickly - Josuke still won't let him live down that comment he'd made about Ms. Higashikata - so he's not really surprised that he'd fallen head over heels for you in the span of ten minutes. He's just glad that it's passed, and that's he's gotten two of his closest friends back.

courage to change—
ꜱᴜᴍᴍᴀʀʏ ➢ taken place six months after endgame, y/n stark gets a call from none other than sam wilson— being confused on why he had called her. wanting to go after a new villain. she was obligated at first but knew it was her friend that needed help. she never thought she would go back into become a hero after her loss.
ᴡᴏʀᴅ ᴄᴏᴜɴᴛ ➢ 2.1k
ᴅɪꜱᴄʟᴀɪᴍᴇʀꜱ ➢ fluff all around. nothing extreme.
ᴀᴜᴛʜᴏʀ ꜱᴘᴇᴀᴋꜱ ! ➢ this is my first time writing on tumblr so if it’s bad then sorry!! i enjoyed writing this so if you do like it then please let me know.
Tumblr media
months have passed without tony stark, everything became quiet, a loss is a loss with whatever you’re dealing with. this was more than a loss for y/n— especially pepper and morgan. they all thought that they would be a big, happy family but tragically that never was the case. thanos ruined everything for the girl and she lost her best friend and mother to people just like thanos. she told herself she would get back and start saving because no one saved her dad, sometimes it would bring nightmares to her.
she had to deal with everything and be with her family which more important, she didn’t talk or call anyone. there would be nights where she would cry herself to sleep with tony’s sweatshirt that she loved. the scent was still there and she never wanted to let it go because it was a part of her that wasn’t lost. morgan was always smiling for her half sister, it was like just yesterday was when the world went back together but she knew she just wanted to think about it like that. days would go by where she wouldn’t return peter’s phone calls and it wasn’t just because she didn’t want to. she knew her dad was an important figure to the boy— she thought she would break down in front of him.
helping around the house was essentially the part where she needed to help pepper. happy would stop by and occasionally drop off the cheeseburgers that both of the girls loved. it was those moments and little things that made her feel so much better. it didn’t help when the one person she cared about as much as her dad wouldn’t do anything to help her when she was in complete pain. bucky barnes was the man for her and she was there for him when he was struggling and when he wouldn’t talk to her after the funeral: he felt awful but that wouldn’t change anything at all.
the relationship started out fine and all though tony wasn’t pleased and supportive about the thing they had for each other. he would never tell her to break up with him or even if they weren’t— he wouldn’t try to break them off. he loved him for that, all the problems they had with his parents getting killed by the winter soldier. nothing mattered anymore, she threw that relationship out slowly but also painfully. she loved him and he loved her but they both weren’t mentally stable to be each other at that moment.
pacing around her room to calm herself from finding herself to have a panic attack, she hears her phone buzzing and looked up and walks over to see what it was about. she saw the name ‘sam <3’ she couldn’t help but smile at the contact, she’ll be honest it had been awhile but that didn’t matter at that moment. she took a deep breath and opened up the message.
sam <3: hey y/n... it’s been awhile and i should have asked you how you have been instead of now. i thought we could catch up, it’s just i wanted to see if you could help with something? think of it as a last mission type of thing, let me know. hope you are well
y/n knew sam meant well and maybe this could help her with everything that she was going through. this also meant she could suffer but she rather help another friend that needed something. she agreed to help him and visit him in louisiana. she typed back saying that she would be in town in a day or so.
y/n stark ♡: of course i will come by! just give me a day or so, so i can get things ready to pack... you still have your boat? would love to see it!!
they talked nonstop about everything until she had to remind herself to tell pepper and to go and pack her things. she went into the kitchen where morgan was watching tv and eating a turkey sandwich that her mom prepared for her. pepper looked up, “hi, honey. you want a sandwich... turkey or roast beef?” she asked smiling, already pulling out the whole wheat bread. y/n smiled telling her she wanted one, “actually pepper... sam asked if i could go up to louisiana? he wanted to catch up and his family will be— of course you can go. we will be okay, just call me every night alright?” she went over to hug her step daughter. morgan saw them hugging and she couldn’t help but go and hug both of them.
later on the night, y/n had packed her suitcase with clothes and essentials she needed for her trip. she saw the glasses that tony had saved and left for her in any case of a tragic accident— she sighed grabbing them and placing them in her suitcase. she watched morgan and pepper at the porch entrance waving bye to her, happy had grabbed her bag and placed it in the back trunk of the limo. she thanked him and entered the limo while happy got in the other side of the limo. “how are you doing kiddo?” she looked up from her phone and stifled a small smile, “alright. just hoping this trip is going to be ok.”
they both focused on their phones and on the ride while they saw the entrance to the wilson family seafood. y/n saw sam and his sister talking as they all looked at the limo that stopped in front of them. the girl gave a right hug to happy when he told her to be safe and also to have fun— he gave her the suitcase before leaving. she saw sam and couldn’t help but smile widely and went to walk towards him. they were engulfed in a hug with warmth surround them, “ah, sam. i missed you.” she told him rubbing her hand on his backside. they both let go to meet each other in the eyes, “i missed you. come see sarah.”
sam and sarah were obviously close, sarah saw y/n and was putting down the crates her children helped her with. she went to go hug her and all this was something that she never got back because just isolated herself, “so sarah wants to sell our boat— whoa, you’re getting rid of this bad boy.” y/n spoke turning around to see the boat in her two eyes. sarah gave the girl a chuckle while continuing to leave into the boy where sam and y/n followed her on it. “sam, the boats gotta go—wait.” sam tried to intervene his sister but she wasn’t having it with him, “no. let me finish. i’m doin' everything i can to keep this business afloat. and everyday i’m making $5, and spending $10.” sarah told her brother.
“so, why won’t you let me help?—no, don’t start with that. we made a deal before daddy died. you’re out there—” y/n froze when sarah mentioned her fathers death and each time it kept eating y/n alive. she would do anything to make that feeling just leave for a small portion of the time. sam noticed she wasn’t present and sighed when she saw y/n, “y/n... i’m sorry.” sarah apologized and y/n told her it was fine and that it wasn’t her fault at all. she kept hearing on the conversation, “i do things my way her—right. but you tangled the house into this when you took those loans.” sarah punched her brother in the chest graining at the impact it made on him, “forgot how hard you hit, uh, y/n wait up here and then we can catch up. i will be back.” sam told her making y/n nod and chuckle, “don’t take too long.”
sam finished talking to his sister and once he came back—they went on side to have a drink and have a small conversation. sam poured her some non alcoholic drink as she didn’t drink that often, “so tell me. what have you been up to.” he asked the girl slouching on a chair and she took a sip, “if you know me sam, you would know nothing.” she told him looking down at her drink and in circles, “don’t torture yourself stark. i’m here now.” same went to give her a soft hug and she returned the hug smiling at him. “have you talked—no.” y/n told him since she didn’t want to talk about it or bucky as it brought memories.
sam asked if y/n could watch his nephews while he and sarah would go to the bank to ask for a loan, she didn’t hesitate to help him out. y/n woke up early and saw sam and sarah with her two children packing up the food they were going to give out. she walked over “morin'.” she spoke yawing while sam looked up to see her in a black t-shirt and shook his at her semi-messy hair, “morning y/n. you sleep good?” sarah asked packing up food, “honestly, yeah you guys have nice cushions.” she said honestly. “you always gotta do the most, huh?” she said asked.
“i don’t play with these white folks.” sam chuckled before continuing, “look, i know you’re worried, all right? but i did the research. i ran the numbers—you really think this is gonna work?” she said skeptical about it all and if sams plan would work, “I know it will. and then we can renovate the kitchen. now, you said you wanted to sell plates in the weekends, right? that’s great. you can introduce some of grandma’s recently... shit. we gotta go.”
sam looked at his watch and noticed the time and that he would be late but he was rather punctual. y/n furrowed her eyebrows as he wouldn’t be late, “you know me, no such thing as on time. you’re either early or late. pick one.” he told the girls, both of the siblings went to go get their jackets on. “all right, boys, i love you. now, y/n will be watching you and no video games.” sarah said kissing her sons on the forehead and looked at y/n to know that she would be helping her a lot.
once the wilson’s came back, y/n was hanging out with boys because she soon fell in love with both of them. being around the two boys made her feel special because it was something she walkways wanted. y/n was watching them play video games and she just admired them until sam came in to ask to steal her. “can you come here quick.” she nodded and walked over to sam and entered to the room where sam was in and he was explaining the video. it was the flag smashers—he didn’t look too nice. he saw the video of one of the flag smashers throwing a man acros towards the pole. “he looks strong—who are you?” they got interrupted as y/n scrunched her nose and surprised he didn’t know her.
“y/n. y/n stark—oh. oh, uh i am so sorry for your loss.” the man rambled while y/n laughed saying thank you and he kept going, “he was. i mean, they went dark as soon as it was all over. but that their m.o. we gotta keep our eyes and ears to the ground till they pop up again.” the man on the call told them. the young lady sighed not understanding how that could all be possible, “anything else happen outside the video?—no, man. my face was in the dirt before i knew what was happening. why? what are you thinking?” sam turned to y/n and they shared a look of unsteadiness, they both knew what they were both thinking. if something was out there then they needed to stop it, “nothin'—wait. you don’t think he could be a... look, i’ll circle back to you. let’s keep this between me and you.
a second later sarah came into the room turning on the television and telling both of them to look at was on the news. it appeared to be a press and y/n did think about it as anything until she heard what the man was saying.
“unrest, in the wake of recent events has left us vulnerable. every day Americans feel it. While we love heroes who put their lives on the line to defend earth, we also need a hero to defend this country. we need a real person who embodies america’s greatest values. we need someone to inspire us again, someone who can be a symbol for all of us. so, on behalf of the department of defense and our commander-in-chief, it is with great honor that we announce here today that the united states of america has a new hero. join me in welcoming your new captain america.” the man spoke and there was a man in a captain america uniform with steve’s shield over his arm. y/n rubbed her temples while sighing knowing this wasn’t good.

masterlist
warning: this will be salty. very salty. if you think it’s ooc let me know and i’ll do the best i can to fix it, but the characterization in this show is so shoddy already that there isn’t much i can do. alya salt, adrien salt, lila salt, bustier salt, class salt. this is also my first posted fic!! if u wanna be on the tag list let me know 💙🌹
The first impression Damien had of his new class was that they were loud. Even as he walked up the stairs, he could hear voices in the classroom. It seemed a debate was occurring, though he couldn’t quite make out the two sides. He reached the top of the stairs, but before he could even make a grab for the door handle, the room fell silent. Damien was about to thank whatever deity was watching out for him and silencing the roomful of screaming children he was about to walk into when he heard another voice from inside the room.
“Of course she’s in love with him,” an effeminate voice said matter-of-factly. “But he barely knows she exists. It’s tragic, really. She tells me about it every time she sleeps over- oops!” the voice continued. Damien didn’t know who was speaking, and he didn’t know who they were speaking about, but he knew from their cadence and their confidence in “accidentally” spilling secrets that he couldn’t trust them as far as he could throw them. Damien sighed deeply to think that he was joining a class of liars and idiots as he reluctantly opened the door to the classroom. Once more the class quieted- chaos had broken out once more after the liar mentioned her little tidbit, which he expected had been the goal.
“Ah! Our new student! M. Damocles told me to keep an eye out for you. Would you like to say a few words to the class?” a woman- presumably the teacher, though she did nothing to show it- asked. She smiled expectantly at him as he moved to stand in front of her desk, facing the class.
“I’m Damien. I’m 15 and I’m an exchange student from America. I do not wish to distract myself from my studies during my time here, so please do not try to make friends with me. I’m not interested,” Damien told the class sharply. He walked briskly to the only open seat in the room- back row, next to some girl who smiled gently at him before returning her gaze to the front of the class. Interesting, he mused. By her bright clothes, he had expected bubbliness. Perhaps a high-pitched greeting. A hug, maybe. This was a pleasant surprise, though it was the only one of its kind he had had all week.
On Monday, they had received video evidence of a super villain in Paris. Tim had suspected it was CGI, especially since Paris was visually completely fine when he hacked some security feeds, even though the video clearly showed the Eiffel Tower falling. Bruce had decided that they really ought to at least check before writing it off, and Damien had drawn the short straw.
On Tuesday, Bruce had told him his cover for being in Paris was that he was an exchange student. He wasn’t allowed to be Robin while he was there, as it may put his identity at risk. He wasn’t allowed to leave until he had confirmation that the thing was either a hoax or genuine, unless he was in actual danger.
On Wednesday he packed. He couldn’t take weapons with him, obviously, because airport security may be a joke but he was pretty sure they would catch an actual sword stuffed in his bag. That afternoon he had flown to Paris and gotten settled in.
And now it was Thursday. Damien had learned much about the class very quickly, mainly that it was composed of a liar and some idiots. He had learned his deskmate was quiet. He had learned that he was far enough ahead in the syllabus that he could afford to study people in class.
He hoped the rest of the week was calm. Even if it meant he had to stay longer, he would rather have time to get settled before suffering a villain attack- if the whole thing was real, anyways. He pulled his focus back to the task at hand- assessing the class and finding any useful allies or sources of information. He recognized the girl next to the liar as the Ladyblogger. This meant the Ladyblog was likely an unreliable resource, which he mentally jotted down. That was good to know.
Damien cast a sideways glance at the girl next to him. She was patiently listening to the teacher and obviously tuning out the other students. When Damien bothered to listen, he noticed them gossiping about her. So Marinette was her name, huh?
Every rumor he heard was traced instantly back to the liar, and with each word he noticed the girl next to him tense imperceptibly more. He mentally scoffed. It was clear that she wasn’t going to stand up for herself. How pathetic. She was preferable to the liar or any of the blind idiots, but certainly not by much. So lost in thought was he that he flinched when the bell rang. Where had his restraint gone?
Marinette turned to him once the bell had rung. In a voice clearly pitched down so others wouldn’t hear, she spoke for the first time that day: “You’re Damien, right? I’m Marinette, the class president.” He scoffed slightly. The whole class clearly hated her, and she refused to stand up for herself. How had this mess become class president? As if she hadn’t heard him, she continued: “If you need anything, let me know. Here’s your class schedule and syllabi, and here’s a map of school. If you’d like, I can give you a tour later and explain the multiple purposes of some of the classrooms.” She handed him a short pile of papers and waited, as if she expected a response. When she got none, she nodded and left, and somehow, that made Damien feel worse than he would have if she had scolded him on his lack of a ‘thank you.’
The rest of the day, he remained in the same classes as her. He sat next to her in a majority of them, as she was often the only person with no seat partner. She remained quiet and focused, and she continued to pointedly ignore the other students, though it seemed he was not among their ranks. When he asked any questions, she answered quickly, quietly, and to the best of her ability, which he appreciated. She may be useful yet, if her succinct answers to non-hero questions were any indication of her general temperament. As he thought this, the bell rang for lunch and the class began to pack up. Damien wasn’t sure if he should risk the caf or head off campus, but as he turned to ask Marinette, he noticed that she had frozen in place. Her bag was half packed and resting on the table as she looked in surprise at someone standing at the table.
The boy was blonde and green eyed. He had had the liar hanging off of him, which either meant they were working together or he was a bigger idiot than them all. He smiled condescendingly at Marinette and Damien, then he turned solely to Marinette. “Marinette, may I speak with you real quick? It’ll only take a minute,” the boy asked, though it was clear ‘no’ was not an option. At the girl’s small nod, he turned to Damien. “Do you mind if I steal her for a sec?” he asked. Damien raised an eyebrow.
“Seeing as she’s a human being and therefore not property, I don’t see how you could steal her, but be my guest.” The boy smiled that same smarmy smile at him, and Damien decided that too many unlikeable people disliked the sweet girl next to him. He didn’t want to be among their ranks, and while the girl could do with a bit more spine, she had been nothing but pleasant to him. As the boy maneuvered her away to speak, Damien moved a bit more quietly. It would be easy for his trained ears to overhear, and they should both underestimate him, so it would be simple to eavesdrop.
“Mari, you didn’t say anything to him, did you?” the blond asked, looking searchingly at the girl in question. She sighed in response.
“Is that what this is about? I promise, I didn’t tell him anything. I think he knows she’s lying, and if he asks, I won’t lie to him to protect her, but I haven’t told him anything and he hasn’t asked.” Marinette rolled her eyes at the boy. Damien couldn’t help but notice that her posture, while visibly scared when other students were around, was simply bored when only Blondie was there. The boy had sighed in relief at Marinette’s words, but had quickly tensed back up.
“Wait, if he asks if she’s lying, you’ll just... tell him? Just like that? Mari, you can’t do that! He doesn’t know us, he doesn’t need to know our secrets!” the blond protested. He assumed a superior expression and quickly looked at Marinette in as disappointed a way as he could manage. The aforementioned girl glared at him.
“Agreste, I’m not going to lie. I refuse to do so, especially to try and protect a girl who hates me. Damien is perfectly kind and has been nothing but cordial, I have no reason to deny him information that may affect his time here. I won’t make him listen to some liar thinking it’s the truth.” Marinette ended the conversation there, walking back to the desk quickly and packing her bag before leaving class. Damien took this in with an air of quiet amusedness, though he was touched that she defended him.
Maybe his time here wouldn’t be so impossible after all.
that’s where i’m ending the first part! if you’d like to be tagged in the next part let me know! have a wonderful weekend folks! ~💙🌹

Hange was crunched over her laptop, typing furiously - it was probably another strong worded letter to one of their associates. If nerves weren't currently eating him up, Levi would have found the scene in front of him amusing. But as the case was, he was barely able to keep it together. He tried to distract himself, looking around Hange’s office. Even though, it was only the beginning of December, she was already in a festive spirit. There was a small Christmas tree on her table, and on her wardrobe hung a string of Christmas lights. Hange adored Christmas, so it was no surprise that she was getting ready for it so early.
Levi glanced back - thankfully, everyone else had already left the office. At least, no one would see him stare at Hange like he was some kind of a creep. It was bad enough that some interns jumped away from him in hallways.
There was nothing to be worried about, though. He just needed to ask Hange a small question. She was his best friend, there was nothing scary in asking your best friend a question. Besides, Hange probably wouldn't even accept his invitation. Knowing her, she received dozens offers already. She'd apologize and refuse, Levi would wave her off and then they'd forget about this incident altogether.
Just like they’ve forgotten about last year's incident.
Yes. There was absolutely nothing to worry about.
Levi straightened his shirt, fixed his tie and took a deep breath. And then finally— he knocked on the door.
"Yes!" Hange shouted. "Come in!"
"Oh, it's you," she said, as Levi walked inside. "I thought it was janitor coming to kick me out again," Hange laughed at her own joke.
The smile turned into a frown, as soon as she saw the look on Levi’s face.
“Is… everything alright?” she spoke gently, getting to her feet and coming to stand beside Levi. She tilted her head, looking at him worriedly. “You look kinda tense.”
Levi lowered his head, hiding his eyes behind the hair. “It’s… my mother,” he managed finally.
“Your mother?” behind the lenses of her glasses, Hange’s eyes widened. “Did something happen to her? What can I do to—”
“She’s fine,” Levi quickly assured her. He wasn’t going to tell it to her, of course, but Hange’s concern warmed his heart. “She just…” he cleared his throat and looked up at her, staring straight in her eyes. “She invited you over for a dinner. At Christmas.”
“Christmas?” she scratched the back of her head in confusion. “Are you asking me to spend Christmas with you?”
“My mom asks you,” Levi corrected. “But yeah. You don’t have to agree, though! If you have other plans already, it’s more than fine. She’ll understand. No hard feelings whatsoever.”
“Are you kidding me?” Hange beamed. “Christmas with Ackermans? How can I possibly refuse? Besides,” she elbowed him in a side with a mischievous look. “It’s not every day that Levi Ackerman—”
“My mom—”
“Invites me over to a Christmas party. Don’t worry, shorty,” Hange reached out and ruffled his hair. For some weird reason - probably because he let Hange get away with literally anything - he let her assault his immaculate haircut too. “Of course, I’ll come.”
“Great,” and Levi actually meant it. Despite, the fiasco during the last year’s Christmas party, he was looking forward to spending this Christmas with Hange by his side. “Now, c’mon, it’s almost nine pm. Get your shit, four-eyes.”
“Huh? Levi, are you offering me—”
“A ride home?” he scoffed. “Yes, I do, Hange. Or have you fixed your car already?”
Hange chuckled sheepishly. “I keep forgetting about that… you know how it is.”
Levi rolled his eyes. “Unfortunately, I do. So hurry up before I change my mind.”
“I’m on it, Captain!” she dashed to her desk, getting her bag and phone. Then Hange went to the wardrobe and took out her coat. She hastily put it on and haphazardly wrapped a scarf around her neck. “And I’m ready!” she announced proudly.
Levi tsked. “You’re such a mess,” he pulled her closer and fixed the wrapping of a scarf, making sure that it covered Hange’s neck completely. “There,” he patted her arm. “Now, you’re ready.”
“Thanks, dad,” Hange giggled and started to lead the way. “So, who else is going to be at the party?”
“You, my mom, Kenny—”
“Oh, your uncle?” she rubbed her hands together with a sly smile. “I like him! He’s so much fun!”
Levi huffed. “Just be careful around him, four-eyes. Or he’ll get you involved in some of his shady shit.”
“There is no need to be jealous,” she teased.
“Keep dreaming.”
“And that’s it?” Hange asked. “Your father—”
“Fuck no,” Levi replied instantly. “Kenny is more than enough to fill the asshole’s quota.”
Hange raised an eyebrow, amusement written all over her face. “So your uncle’s an asshole, huh? Didn’t he raise you, though? You know what they say – an apple doesn’t fall far—”
“Oi,” Levi interrupted, before more shit came out of her mouth. “I may be too straightforward sometimes, and sometimes I’m a little harsh and can come off as rude, but I’m nothing like Kenny.”
“If it helps you sleep at night,” Hange patted his shoulder with a sympathetic look.
“Shut up, four eyes,” scowling, he gave her a light shove.
“Ah!” Hange suddenly exclaimed, spinning around. “Christmas with Ackermans! I’m already looking forward to it!”
“Weirdo,” Levi commented, desperately fighting to keep an affectionate smile off his face.
“You’re saying it as if you aren’t the same,” Hange giggled. “Admit it, Levi. You’re as much of a weirdo as I am. That’s why we’re so compatible.”
“Whatever,” he scoffed, refusing to even entertain the idea. “Hurry up by the way. It’s late already, I don’t want to spend the whole night with your crazy ass.”
“Oh, Levi?” Hange put on an innocent look on her face, twirling a stray lock of her hair. “Can we stop to eat somewhere, please?”
Levi gave her a flat look. “Your fringe is empty again?”
“I just forgot to do the groceries…” she mumbled.
“Fine,” Levi sighed. “We’ll make a stop. But we’re going to my favorite place. Those disgusting burgers you love so much make me want to puke.”
“Let’s eat your boring soup then.”
“My boring soup is healthy. It won’t give you an atherosclerosis.”
“I need another favor from you…”
He groaned. “Let me guess, you forgot your wallet again?”
Hange shrugged with a smile. Levi cursed.
“Alright, I’ll pay for you. But it’s the last time, four-eyes,” he warned with a stern face.
With a smile still on her face, Hange nodded. They both knew that Levi was lying.
“Wait,” Levi said, as they neared the front door of the building. He turned to face Hange, eyeing her critically. “Where are your gloves?”
Hange rolled her eyes, but obediently opened her bag and started rummaging through her things. “Aha!” she exclaimed a couple of moments later, proudly showing Levi a couple of gloves. “Here they are!”
“Put them on,” Levi instructed, walking outside and heading towards his car. “And let’s leave this place, before the café closes.”
“Coming!” Hange shouted, following after Levi with a wide grin.
***
It was a Christmas Day already, and Levi was standing on a porch of his mother's house, waiting for Hange to show up. Knowing his friend, she would be late for at least ten minutes, so Levi leaned against the door, debating if he should go back inside to get his pack of cigarettes. His mother hated when he smoked, but it was going to be a stressful day, Levi knew it. Even without the memories of his last Christmas, nagging at him, there was Kenny he had to deal with, and the relationship between him and his uncle was at the very least, strained. If he wished to end this evening without strangling Kenny, Levi needed a lot more than just one cigarette.
However, before he could decide, he saw Hange at the other end of a street. She was walking with a spring in her step, dangling a couple of bags in her hands.
Levi crossed hands on his chest, watching her approach.
"What is this shit?" he pointed to the bags she was carrying.
"Presents!" she grinned widely.
“Presents?”
"Yes! For you, your mother and uncle."
Levi didn't drop the look of skepticism. "There are four bags."
"Of course, silly," Hange shook her head. "I've got two presents for you."
"Two?" Levi frowned. "Why two? I got only one for you."
"Well, it's not my fault your birthday is on Christmas," Hange complained. "Speaking of!" she spread her hands, "it's time for a hug, birthday boy!"
Levi cringed. "Is there a way to avoid it?"
"No!" Hange announced cheerfully. "C'mon, I'm waiting!"
Levi sighed, but obliged and came closer, letting Hange wrap her hands around him. She hummed happily, nuzzling his cheek.
"Ah, that was a good one," she said, as she took a step back, releasing Levi. He, however, couldn’t agree with her statement. It was a good hug, but it ended too quickly for his liking. Well, it wasn't like he could ask Hange to repeat it. She would agree, of course, but his reputation would suffer tremendously.
"Goddamn it, four-eyes," Levi scowled, when he took a good look on Hange's hands. "How many times do I have to remind you about the gloves?"
He grabbed her red and freezing palms in his, softly rubbing them. "Let's get inside, before you freeze to death."
"You worry too much," Hange rolled her eyes, but didn't try to shake Levi off and let him lead her inside.
The moment they crossed the threshold, Kuchel was already standing in front of the door, smiling from ear to ear. Levi awkwardly let go of Hange's hands and took a step back, allowing his mother to welcome her.
"You came!" Kuchel laid her hands onto Hange's shoulders, kissing both of her cheeks. "I'm so happy to see you, my dear!" she took a step back and faced Levi, giving him a stern gaze. “And you told Hange wouldn’t accept our invitation. You should bring her over more often.”
Levi looked down, mumbling something so quietly, neither Hange, nor Kuchel were able to catch it.
Watching the scene in front of her, seeing an embarrassed Levi, who was just scolded by his mother, Hange couldn’t help – she doubled over with laughter.
“Sorry!” she raised a hand, still chuckling. “I’m just— Levi looks so much like you, Mrs. Ackerman, it’s adorable!”
“Ah,” Kuchel smiled, reaching out to ruffle Levi’s hair. “He was always his mother’s boy.”
Levi groaned, desperately trying to hide his red face from Hange’s amused gaze. “Can you two please stop humiliating me?”
“And here she is!” Levi had never wanted the Earth to swallow him more than he did in this exact moment. He recognized that deep, booming voice instantly. “The only person who can tolerate my dear nephew!” Kenny walked out of the room to welcome them.
That infuriating smirk was already plastered on his face, and Levi cursed under his breath. It would be a very long evening.
“Hange, my darling!” Kenny took a step closer, meaning to take Hange by the hand. Levi was instantly by her side, glaring at his uncle.
“Watch your hands, old man,” he spoke darkly.
Kenny whistled. “Someone’s jealous, huh?”
Before Levi could retaliate and come up with another insult, his mother came to stand between them, wearing an annoyed expression on her face.
“Stop it, boys,” she sighed. “Kenny, don’t pick up on Levi, and you, Levi,” Kuchel shook her head. “Be nice for once, alright?”
“Yes,” Kenny and Levi answered in unison. Kuchel beamed.
“Now you two take your coats and shoes off and then join us in the living room. Hange?” Kuchel turned to her. “You’ll stay the night with us, right?”
“I…” Hange scratched her neck, unsure.
“Stay,” Levi whispered, nudging her in the side. “Mom already prepared the guest room.”
“I guess I have no choice then,” she grinned. “Thank you for your hospitality, Mrs. Ackerman.”
“Don’t mention,” Kuchel waved her off. “And please, call me just Kuchel. Levi talks so often about you, I feel like you’re a part of our family.”
“Ah, a-alright,” Hange stared at Levi, but he turned his face another way, stubbornly refusing to meet her eyes. His mother was exaggerating, he didn’t talk about Hange that much.
Kuchel sent them another warm smile, and then left to the kitchen.
"Aw," Hange pouted as soon as Levi took off his coat.
"What's wrong now?"
"You're wearing a simple shirt and cardigan.”
"And?" Levi prompted, feeling his patience go thin.
"Why not a Christmas sweater?" Hange clasped her hands, frustrated.
Levi looked at Hange's bright red sweater with a big reindeer right in the center of it. "No thanks," he mumbled. "My eyes hurt just looking at the monstrosity you're wearing."
"It's called fashion, Levi, you should look it up sometimes."
"Says a person, who can wear the same shirt for two weeks in a row. By the way," Levi outstretched his hand. "Give me it."
"Give you what?"
"My present, four-eyes, give it to me."
"A-ah," Hange resolutely shook her head. "Wait until midnight."
Levi gritted his teeth in frustration. "Fine, you can keep the other one, but you have two presents. Give me the one for my birthday."
"Nope."
"Hange, today is my birthday, I deserve to receive my birthday gift."
"Have some patience, will you? I'll give it to you at midnight."
"Why can't you—"
"Let's go!" Hange pushed him forward, leading him away from the presents. "Your family is already waiting for us."
***
As Levi watched Hange chat with his mother and uncle, sharing jokes and stories about him, he couldn't help but wonder - could it be that Hange actually forgot about the incident that had happened last year? It was the only possible explanation, she was so calm, so nonchalant, while he was practically brimming with nervous energy, trying to think about literally anything to distract himself from the awkward memories.
Noticing his stare, Hange smiled and winked at him, before resuming her story about Levi's meeting with investors. She wasn't nervous in a slightest and Levi decided to follow her example. If Hange was unbothered, what reason did he have to panic? If she didn't remember the events of last Christmas, he should try to forget about it too. *** "Hange, honey, come here," Kuchel beckoned, interrupting Hange's conversation with Kenny. "There is something I want you to see."
"Oh," as soon as Hange saw what Kuchel was holding out to her, she rubbed her hands in anticipation. "Is it what I think it is?"
Kuchel nodded, wearing the same giddy expression as Hange. "It's our family photo album."
Levi, who just came back from the bathroom, felt his heart drop. His mother wouldn't dare...
"Mom, it's my birthday," he reminded, sitting down next to her. "You can't embarrass me at my birthday."
"But Levi," Kuchel pouted. "I'm not embarrassing you! I just want to show Hange, how cute you were as a child."
"Yeah," Kenny chimed in. "She needs to see what your face looked like before you got a severe case of constipation."
"Shut up," Levi hissed, glaring daggers at his uncle.
Meanwhile, Hange was already opening the album...
"Oh my god!" she exclaimed delightfully, staring at the first page. "Levi, you looked so cute! You were the most adorable baby ever!"
"He still is," Kuchel softly patted Levi's cheek.
Levi groaned, covering his face with a hand. It was the worst moment of his life.
"Look at this face!" Hange continued to coo. "And these pretty eyes!"
Levi's cheeks were on fire.
"Tell about this to anyone, four-eyes," he warned quietly, careful not to let his mother hear. "And you're dead, got it?"
"Of course," Hange smiled, amusement swirling in her gaze. "My lips are sealed."
 ***
As the evening progressed into the night, Kuchel excused herself, insisting that she needed to go and rest. Levi and Hange were sitting on a sofa in the living room and watching TV. As they were on the second part of Die Hard, Kenny left too, claiming that there was something he had to take care off. Начало формы
“He’s definitely up to something unlawful,” Levi commented off-handedly as soon as Kenny closed the door after himself.
“Oh?” Hange grinned, muting the TV. “What do you think he’s going to do? Rob someone? Murder?”
“I don’t care,” Levi replied. “And you shouldn’t care too. The lesser you know, the better.”
“You’re no fun,” she smacked his shoulder, before collapsing on his lap with a quiet giggle.
“Get off,” Levi complained. “I’m not your pillow.”
“But you’re warm,” Hange wiggled a little, taking a more comfortable position. “And soft.”
“Shut up,” he sighed, trying to ignore the pleasant feeling that appeared because of Hange’s words. “It’s almost midnight,” he nodded at the clock on the wall. “So get up and bring me my present.”
“Oh my,” Hange looked at him with a sly look. “You really can’t wait to receive it, huh?”
“Give it, four-eyes.”
“Fine!” she huffed, getting to her feet. “But I want to see my present too.”
“Hurry up!” Levi called after her.
He rose from the sofa and headed to his room, where Hange’s present was hidden. When he came to the living room, Hange was already sitting on the floor by the Christmas tree, wearing a wide, excited grin.
"My present," Hange demanded, reaching with her hand.
Sitting down next to her, Levi rolled his eyes and passed the package to her. Instantly, Hange started opening, tearing the paper like an overexcited child. Levi glared at the pile of paper on the floor, but Hange was too excited to notice his dark expression.
"Oh!" she breathed out, as soon as she saw the present. "Levi, is that—"
"Your hands are always cold," Levi explained, watching Hange try the new pair of gloves he got her. "I know it's not much, but..."
"No!" Hange protested, pressing the gloved palm to her chest. "They're perfect! So warm and soft!"
"Good," Levi let himself relax. "It's my first time doing something like this, so I was afraid—"
"Wait!" Hange shrieked, eyes wide. "You made them by yourself?"
"Yeah," Levi said with a frown. "It's a not a big deal, though. Knitting isn't so hard, so..."
"You've knitted the gloves for me..." Hange whispered with a big, dreamy smile on her face. She kept staring at the gloves like they were a damn miracle. Levi couldn't look away from her, as a warm feeling spread through his veins. He could never guess Hange would like his present that much.
"Thank you!" Hange wrapped her arms around his neck, bringing him closer for a brief hug. "Well now!" she grinned, letting go of him. "It's time for your presents!"
“Finally,” Levi muttered.
Reaching behind her, Hange handed him the first package. "That's your Christmas present," she said softly.
Levi nodded, taking it from her hands and then carefully unwrapping. Once he was finished, he put the pieces of paper in a neat pile. Then, he looked at his present. It was a sweater, an exact copy of the one Hange was wearing right now, only slightly smaller and green, wherein Hange's was red.
"Matching sweaters!" Hange announced gleefully. "Put it on!"
Reluctantly - the sweater was kind of ugly - Levi put it over his shirt. He felt like an idiot, but the beam he received from Hange was making it kinda of worth it.
"You look really handsome," Hange noted, making Levi's heart skip a bit. "I should have gotten you reindeer antlers, though. They would have completed the look," she added, ruining the sentiment completely.
"Shut up," Levi grumbled. "How give me another one."
"I feel kinda stupid about it now," Hange began, fidgeting a little. The gesture was so uncharacteristic to her that Levi arched his eyebrow, looking at her in surprise. "Especially after your mother showed me a different one, and it contains cuter pictures," Hange smiled at that. "But, well, here. Happy birthday, Levi."
Levi greedily snatched the present from her and took off the wrapping paper. Inside there was a book - a photo album - Levi realized as he took a better look.
He opened the first page, and saw a picture of himself and Hange. Hange was smiling into the camera, one hand was making the piece sign, while the other was wrapped around his shoulders. His face was as emotionless as always, but there was a soft look in his eyes.
"I put our photo at the first page, because I know my face is your favorite," Hange teased with a sly smile.
Levi didn't answer - there was no need to confirm that Hange's words were actually true. Instead he turned the page. The next one showed him, Erwin, Mike and Nanaba, looking relaxed and slightly drunk. Hange obviously took this picture, since she wasn't in it. Then he saw a photo of him and Mike building a sand castle and after that a picture of him and Erwin, while they were playing Mario Kart on Erwin’s sofa. On the next page, there was a group shot of every employee of their firm. He, Erwin and Hange were stood at the center, with Erwin's arms on their shoulders. After that, it was a picture of Levi with their interns, Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Jean, Sasha and Connie. It was taken after they finished a seminar, Levi remembered. The kids were on cloud nine, since it meant that they could finally rest after a long and tiring weekend. They did well on the seminar, so when they asked for a picture with them, Levi just couldn't say no.
"You look like a proud dad here," Hange commented, leaning over his shoulder to look at the photo.
Levi let out a noncommittal grunt and continuing flipping over the pages. There was a lot more, almost three dozens of pages and each one showed a dear memory.
"I know that you like this stuff, keeping small mementos," Hange said. It was true - as much as Levi loved order and cleanliness, he also gathered all kinds of tickets, receipts and other small trinkets that reminded him of good memories. He kept all of them hidden in his desk drawer, though, so he was surprised that Hange knew about it.
"Thank you," he told her.
"You like it?"
"I love it," he confessed. He didn't say it often, probably had never actually said it out loud, but he valued, loved all of his friends. They were the best thing in his life. Of course, he couldn't say it now too. There was a reputation he had to uphold after all. "I've never seen a bigger collection of ugly faces."
Hange laughed then, throwing her head back. Levi watched her with a small smile.
"Happy birthday," she repeated, putting her head back on his lap.
Levi didn't protest this time, simply stared down at her. The Christmas lights were dancing across her face, making Hange look softer around the edges. Without thinking, Levi reached out to brush some hair out of her forehead. Hange smiled, looking up at him.
"Hey," she began. Levi nodded, motioning for her to continue. He stretched his hand, taking his teacup. "Do you remember last Christmas?"
The hand with a cup froze midair, as he stared at Hange with wide eyes. He thought she was going to launch in another lengthy and boring story, not bring this thing up.
"I don't," he answered stiffly, fighting the urge to get up and run. Hange shouldn't have known about this.
"You really don't?" Hange asked, disappointment in her voice. "We were at the party at Erwin's place, I had a bit too much eggnog and—"
And then she staggered out on a balcony, while Levi was having a smoke break. She was clearly drunk and a thought flashed in Levi's mind that he should bring her home or lay her down in one of Erwin's guest rooms, before she did something stupid. And that's what she did in the next moment. Something stupid. She snatched the cigarette from his hand and threw it away. Levi opened his mouth to reprimand her for that, but wasn't unable to actually say anything. Because Hange— Hange was kissing him. Before he could react to it in any way - push her away, bring her closer, entangle his hand in her hair - anything, Hange took a step back.
Whatever was reflecting on his face, Hange didn't like it. She pursed her lips in thought and a line formed between her eyebrows.
"That's not good," she said finally. "Just— just forget anything happen."
And just like that she was gone, giving Levi no time to respond and leaving him alone at a dark, cold balcony.
The next morning, she gave no indication that that kiss had ever happened.
"You do remember," Hange poked his cheek with a finger. "I can see it in your eyes."
"Then why the fuck have you asked?" the hand that wasn't holding a teacup, tightened into fist. What the fuck Hange wanted from him? She told him to forget, didn't she?
"I just wanted to— doesn't matter now," she looked away from him. "I've got my answer already.
Hange moved, trying to get up. Levi pressed on her shoulder, pushing her back.
"You were the one, who told me to forget it.”
"Because you clearly weren't interested!"
Levi frowned. "Who said that?"
"You!" Hange pointed a finger at him, almost hitting him in the nose.
Levi waved her hand away. "I've never said such thing."
"You didn't need to. Your face said it for you."
"I don't understand what you're talking about."
"You don't understand?" Hange huffed. "When I kissed you, you were scowling!"
Levi crossed hands on his chest. "That's how my face always looks like. You know it."
"You didn't kiss me back!" she accused.
"You didn't give me the time to do it!"
Hange felt silent after that. She kept looking at his face, as though searching for something there.
"Does it mean that... you wanted to kiss me?"
"Yes," Levi sighed. "For a very long time now."
"Oh," Hange's cheeks became an adorable shade of pink. "That's a bit unexpected. But... If I were to kiss you again—"
"I'd more than welcome it."
"Alright," she nodded, getting up. Hange leaned in, until their lips were almost touching. She glanced in his eyes, checking his reaction. Then she slowly moved closer, leaving a gentle kiss on his lips. She withdrew almost instantly, looking more than a little embarrassed.
"So," she tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. "Did you like that?"
"It will take me some time to get used to it," Levi admitted.
"We can take it slow," Hange offered. "Would you like that?"
"Yeah," Levi agreed. "I would like that."
"C'mon then," Hange got to her feet and then held her hand out to Levi, helping him up as well. "Let's finish the movie."
He followed Hange back to the sofa and then resumed the movie. At first, he sat at the other end of sofa, deliberately putting some distance between them, in case Hange felt awkward. She rolled her eyes at the gesture, moving closer and laying her head on his thigh.
"Is this okay?" she asked, looking up.
"Yeah," Levi carefully put his hand on her shoulder and started rubbing it softly. "More than okay."
Hange smiled and turned her attention to the TV screen. Levi smiled back, staring down at her.
It was his best Christmas ever. Much better than the last one.

The Christmas Guest Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Author’s Note:
Thanks to @redheadgleek‘s Write a Little Every Day project, this chapter is done much earlier than I’d hoped, yay! Enjoy the snowball fight, and Blaine realising that (HUGE SPOILER) he might actually like Kurt for real. Who’d have thought, huh?
Read Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 here on Tumblr, or read the story on AO3 or FF.net.
Chapter 4: Sweet Surrender
In spite of his nocturnal trip, Blaine woke up early, and decided to dress and get downstairs to see if Kurt needed something.
When he arrived in the living room, Kurt was sleeping peacefully. The snoring had stopped, and when Blaine checked his forehead, he was glad to find the fever had subsided too.
“Good, you must be feeling better already,” Blaine murmured, grabbing the blanket that had fallen off Kurt and tucking him in again carefully. “I’m going to let you sleep a little longer.”
As he tiptoed out of the room, he was greeted by Carole.
“Morning, Blaine! You’re up early!”
Blaine smiled at her. “Good morning, Carole. Yes, I’m an early bird. Always have been.”
“Best let the others sleep another while, or they’ll be grumpy. Come to the kitchen, we can make a nice breakfast for everyone.”
Burt came downstairs as soon as the smell of bacon started to spread.
“Bacon!”
Carole shook her head at him. “Not for you. We don’t want you to have another heart attack.”
“Just one rasher? It’s Christmas!”
“In two days.”
“Oh, come on! Please?”
Carole gave in. “All right. One rasher. But then I don’t want to hear any more complaints about the healthy food I’m serving you the rest of the week. Deal?”
Burt sighed. “Okay, okay.”
Carole winked at Blaine, who suppressed a snigger and busied himself with setting the table.
When he had nearly finished his plate, he heard a groan coming from the living room.
“Ah, Kurt is waking up!” Carole said. “I’ll make him some eggs too.”
“I’ll go see if he’s okay,” said Blaine.
He arrived just in time to keep Kurt from face-planting, and escorted him first to the bathroom and then to the kitchen.
After pouring Kurt a mug of tea and adding a generous spoonful of honey, Blaine sat down again to finish his own breakfast, smiling at how out of it Kurt still seemed. He didn’t seem to be sniffling or coughing anymore, though. That was good.
They made cookies after breakfast, and it made Blaine’s feeling as if he’d stumbled headfirst into a Hallmark Christmas movie even stronger. Kurt was clearly an experienced baker, whipping up two kinds of dough in no time, and letting Blaine eat the scraps.
Then Kurt’s stepbrother Finn arrived, all six feet plus of him, his size and demeanor reminding Blaine of the jocks who’d bashed him into hospital before he transferred to Dalton Academy, and he shrank into a corner until Carole introduced him to Finn and he got a smile and a hug from the gentle giant, who seemed genuinely pleased to meet him.
By the time they had all decorated the tree together, Blaine’s worries had evaporated, and he enthusiastically agreed to a snowball fight in the garden.
He and Finn were having so much fun goofing off that it took some time for them to notice that Kurt had joined them.
Unlike them, Kurt hadn’t chosen to just grab some snow, pack it together and throw it. No. Kurt had chosen stealth and strategy. He’d built a shield he could hide behind, he’d made towering stacks of snowballs and had even fashioned some kind of sling to be able to throw the snowballs further.
He also had deadly aim. His first snowball hit Finn straight in the chest, with so much force that he almost fell over.
“Uh oh,” Finn said. “Okay, man, we’re going to have to team up, or we’re toast.”
The two of them hid behind trees, but every time they ventured forth from their hiding place, they were pelted by such an onslaught of snowballs that they couldn’t get round to launching an attack of their own.
It took Kurt only ten minutes of this to wear them down. By then, their coats and trousers were white with snow and pretty much soaked through.
“Aw, man, this isn’t fun anymore!” Finn complained. “Kurt, why do you always take these games so seriously?”
Kurt appeared from behind his snow shield, his clothes as good as pristine, his stance regal and his eyes blazing with determination. Though Blaine had suffered just as much as Finn and was just as ready to give up the fight, he thrilled to this version of Kurt, who looked magnificent. It lit a flame somewhere within and made him forget all about his freezing fingers and toes.
“Do you surrender?” Kurt asked, his chin up and his back rigidly straight.
And ugh, the steel in his voice made the fire inside Blaine burn even brighter.
Finn shrugged. “I guess. I’m going back in.”
“I surrender,” Blaine answered, not entirely capable of keeping a quiver out of his voice.
Something sparked into Kurt’s eyes, and he started coming towards Blaine without looking away even once, but a mere two foot from him, he seemed to change his mind and veered off towards the house. “Let’s get inside, Carole is going to make us hot chocolate.”
Blaine felt himself deflate. What had he expected to happen, exactly? Why was he all a-tingle like this? And what was this strange energy between him and Kurt?
A sudden gust of wind made him shiver and hurry to the back door. Hot chocolate sounded heavenly.
When Blaine came in, Finn was complaining again, this time about the seating arrangements in the living room. As victor of the snowball fight, Kurt had claimed the big sofa for himself and Blaine, and forbade Finn to squish in too.
“You can take the loveseat,” Kurt said.
“That one’s hard as a rock!”
“Sit on the floor for all I care. The sofa is ours! Come, Blaine! I’ve got your hot chocolate right here. That will warm you up.”
Blaine accepted the mug gratefully, holding it with both hands to get his fingers warm again, and drinking deeply.
Ah, that’s better!
Finn stomped out of the room in high dudgeon to go complain to his mom, but Carole agreed with Kurt.
Blaine saw Kurt grin in satisfaction, and the grin only widened when Finn came back in and found fault with his film choice too.
“Seriously, man? I wanted to watch Die Hard!”
“I won the fight, so it’s my pick.”
“Burt, back me up on this, come on!”
Burt looked up from his newspaper. “We can watch Die Hard tomorrow.”
Kurt added, “Now stop being a baby about this. Either shut up and watch, or go do something else.”
Finn looked mutinous, but plonked down on the loveseat and shut up.
Kurt hummed along with the opening music and pulled Blaine a little closer still. His arm around Blaine’s middle felt both possessive and grounding. Blaine felt the spark from before rekindling, a jittery feeling that made him want to… What? He didn’t even know, but he wanted. Oh, he wanted!
“What is it?” Kurt murmured. “Are you uncomfortable like this?”
“No, no.”
Blaine wiggled until his head fit exactly into the crook of Kurt’s neck, and then let himself sink into Kurt’s embrace. “Perfect.”
He felt a laugh rumble through him, and Kurt’s hold tightened infinitesimally.
“Good,” Kurt whispered, and softly kissed the crown of his head.
Blaine felt his lips stretch from ear to ear and closed his eyes to bask in the feeling of utter contentment that washed over him.
He couldn’t imagine anything that could ruin the moment now.
Of course, that was because he forgot about Finn.
“Mom, I’m hungry! Can I have some more cookies?”
“You already ate them all, hun!”
“So when’s supper?”
“After the movie.”
“But I’m hungry!”
Finn disappeared to the kitchen, grumbling under his breath, probably to search the pantry for snacks to tide him over until supper.
“Want a chocolate chip cookie?” Kurt asked Blaine softly, holding out a cookie tin and looking very smug.
Blaine burst out laughing. “Is this still payback for Finn putting snow down your shirt?”
“You know it! Also, I wanted to save some cookies for us. Finn ate all the shortbread and the last of the sugar cookies before we even got a chance to have some. Greedy pig!”
Blaine took a cookie and savoured it. “These are the absolute best.”
“Mmm.”
However lovely it was to cuddle up with Kurt, Blaine became uncomfortable after a while because his wet trousers felt cold and clammy and seeped all the heat out of his legs.
“I’m going to put some other pants on,” he whispered to Kurt. “I’ll be right back.”
That promise fell into the water when Cooper called him while he was in Kurt’s room, blathering on and on about all the fancy parties he’d been to and would still be going to.
It took nearly an hour for Coop to stop talking about himself and to ask what Blaine was doing for Christmas.
“I’m in Ohio,” said Blaine.
“But Mom and Dad are on a cruise!”
“Yep. Thanks for telling me about that, by the way. How long have you known?”
“Oh, they told me this summer, I think.”
“Lovely.”
“You didn’t know?”
“Nope. Flew out here for nothing.”
Cooper whistled low. “That sucks. So you’re all alone for Christmas?”
“No, actually, I’m not.”
There was silence at Cooper’s end. Then he asked, “So… You’re saying you’ve been hooking up with Sebastian again?”
“What? No! Ugh. Coop, please. As if! He cheated on me!”
“So who’s with you, then?”
“Kurt. I’m staying with his family.”
For the second time, his reply managed to silence Cooper.
“My boyfriend, Kurt, remember?”
“Um, no?! Now who’s forgotten to tell their brother something?”
Blaine laughed. “Well, it’s recent, so that will be why. I probably haven’t called you yet since we became an item.”
“So… Tell me about him.”
That was all the prompting Blaine needed to start singing Kurt’s praises, and it wasn’t until he’d rung off that he realized two things.
One: he’d referred to Kurt as his boyfriend without even thinking about it, whereas they were only faking a relationship. He’d regret that later, since Coop would tell their mom for sure, and he’d have to hear about it for years.
Two: he desperately wished they could be boyfriends for real. Somehow, in what the Warblers would call a classic Blaine move, he’d fallen for Kurt. Hard. And in a matter of days. There was no way this was going to end well. He was so screwed.

Pt. 2
Tumblr media
“What the hell...” the agent looks around the bright hospital room, she’s standing in the middle of the hallway while nurses and doctors rush past her. “Excuse me,” she reaches out to a nurse but the woman walks right past her. She turns in circles with a very confused expression.
“You’re okay,” you say as Emily whirls around to face you.
“I’m sorry, what?” She’s pretty and younger than most of the people you encounter.
You try to walk closer to her but she backs away and rests her hand on her gun. You laugh a little at that, but now comes the hard part. “I’m not going to hurt you. To be technical, I wouldn’t be able to do that even if I wanted to.”
“Wha-” she stammers, more people come rushing past the two of you. “Hey, that’s my team!” she starts to run after them but you appear in front of her, effectively blocking her path.
“Trust me, you don’t wanna do that.”
“Why can’t they see me?” she asks.
“Come with me.” you offer your hand but she doesn’t take it. You transport both of you into an empty inpatient room. “What’s your name?” you ask with a small smile but her eyes are narrowed on yours.
“I need to get back to my team.” she stands up and tries to head for the door but you block her path again. “How are you doing that?”
“Please,” you say softly while gesturing to the bed. “Sit down.” When you don’t make a move to faultier she reluctantly sits down on the hospital bed. “What’s your name?”
“Supervisory Special Agent Emily Prentiss.” she answers professionally.
“Emily.” you say softly. “My name’s y/n but you can call me y/n/n’
“What is going on?” her eyes look a bit glossy but something tells you she’s not going to cry in front of you. You look into her dark eyes, she looks so tired and hurt. “Am I...” she chokes, almost shedding a tear. “Dead?” She whispers the word like it’s forbidden and she’ll be in trouble for saying it. Like she doesn’t want to accept the reality of it all.
You take her hand and squeeze it reassuringly. “Emily-”
“Just tell me!” She demands
After a minute of silence you whisper, “Yes.” That’s when the dam cracks and you see a tear glide down her cheek.
“What happened?” she asks after a moment. Some spirits you’ve talked to have been completely distraught when they die because they remember how horrible their death was and how it all felt but luckily for her, she doesn’t remember yet. Which makes your job of transitioning her a lot easier.
“You were shot while working on a case, by someone your team calls ‘unsub.’ There’s another woman here by the name of ‘JJ,” her ears perk up at the mention. “You sacrificed yourself for her, the gun was aimed at her but you stood in the way. The bullet exited your body and went into her shoulder. JJ suffered a flesh wound but you didn’t make it out.” As you finish you see that her face is now full of despair, tears, and grief. “But that was a few days ago,” with her confused facial expression you continue, “To be fair I’m not completely positive about the timeline,” you almost laugh but now isn’t the time. “Spirits, ghosts if you may, do not have the greatest perception of time.” she doesn’t look very amused so you move on. “You were stuck in a type of limbo for a while but now you’re here.” You gesture around the room.
Now her face has morphed into a look of frustration. Uh oh...
“You say that like its a good thing.” She stands and marches out the room before you can do or say anything. When you catch up to her you decide not to stop her.
“Emily, where are you going?” You practically jog alongside her. Damn this girl can run.
“Where do you think I’m going? I need to find my team. She stops in her tracks when she realizes you’re both back where you started. “What the-” she looks up bright at the ceiling and squints from the overwhelming light.
“Ah,” you touch her arm in hopes of getting her attention. “You don’t want to do that.”
“Why is everything so bright?” she asks while rubbing her eyes.
“Its always like that for new spirits, you’ll get used to it.”
“New spiri-” shit she looks angry “I’m not a spirit, ghost, whatever you want to call it.” She looks agitated, please don’t fuck this up. You’ve done your job well for years but there’s something different about her.
“Okay,” you hold your hands out towards her. “What do you want to do Emily?” you try to reason with her.
“I want to see my team.” she says sadly, it looks like she’s about to cry again.
“You want to see your team, okay, I can do that.” She nods in agreement and then starts to cry but only a little. “Emily, who do you really want to see?”
“Huh?” She looks up in confusion.
“Who do you really want to see?” You ask gently and a lot slower. “JJ? Is that who you want to check on?” She stares for a minute and then nods. “Okay,” she then starts to cry even more. “I can do that for you.” She collapses in your arms and you stroke her back sympathetically. While her head’s in your arms you transport both of you to the room where the woman named JJ is. She’s fixing coffee for herself in one of the ‘close family’ waiting rooms. They’re usually a lot smaller than the main waiting rooms and aren’t open to the public. Her arm is in a sling and she’s still wearing her work clothes. No wonder Emily is crazy about her, she’s beautiful. “See,” you lightly nudge Emily “She’s fine.”
The agent stands straight and looks over at JJ, she lets out a sigh of relief like she was holding her breath before. “She’s okay.” She walks over to the blonde and tries to hug her but she goes right through. She looks down at her hands like they’re foreign to her, then she starts to stammer.
“You can’t touch her Emily,” You pause before continuing, debating on if you should tell her the next part. “At least not right now.” Her red-rimmed eyes shoot up towards yours.
“What does that mean?”
“New ghosts are sort of the equivalent of newborns; weak and fragile, also very powerful in their own way. You know, with the strong lungs, untouched sense of taste, strong grips, and how close they are to the supernatural world. New spirits have light sensitivity, memory issues, time distortion, and have basically no control over their abilities. Not being able to touch, interact, or disrupt the physical world is one of the abilities you cannot control.”
“But I can try?” she looks hopeful “Right?”
“No Emily that’s not a good idea.”
“Why not?”
“Irrational ideas are also prominent in new ghosts. You’re pretty smart Agent Prentiss and if you were in your right mind you’d know this is a crap idea.”
“So what am I supposed to do?”
“Even if you could interact with her what would you do? Hug her? Write a note to her?” Her face gets even sadder, you take her hands in yours. “You’re not apart of their world anymore, but that doesn’t mean you can’t be there for them.” you pull away from her “I’ll give you some time alone with her. Just sit with her for a bit, say your piece, do whatever you need to do.” Before leaving you turn back to her. “Although you cannot interact with her, she can still feel your presence. You love her?” she doesn’t say anything but its quite obvious. “Yeah, well if your love is strong enough, just you being here will give her a sense of comfort. I always hear doctors say that to the grieving but trust me, it’s real.” When you leave the room you make sure to stay close. Just in case Emily needs you or you have to stop her from trying to see herself.
What’s happening to her is sad and all but over the years you’ve seen thousands upon millions of spirits. The stories you’ve heard have been horrific, romantic, sad, violent, and on rare occasions, happy. A pedophile died in this hospital after being beaten within an inch of his life by a group of high school kids. Obviously it’s not something to be cheery about but he finally got what he deserved in the most painful way possible. Watching him wander through the halls covered in blood was entertaining and a happy ending for all. You watched him go into the darkness and the world felt a little lighter. Now he’s where he belongs.
There was also a couple that sacrificed themselves for each other. It kind of reminded you of Romeo and Juliet.
At some point all of the stories start to blur together, still, you remember them all. Its why you’re here.
“She’s going to be okay.” you hear Emily say from behind you. Her face is littered with tears so you decide to pull her in for a brief hug. “Right now she’s on the phone with Will, her husband.” There’s definitely a problem there. Sounded like she wanted to barf at the mention of him. “He and the kids are on their way here.” She takes a deep breath. “Can I ask you something?”
“Yeah sure,” you shrug “Anything.”
“You said I was stuck in Limbo for a while, what did you mean by that?” Another thing you’re debating telling her, but it wouldn’t do any good to hold back.
“When people go into comas or any type of unconscious state they are brought to this empty mental space. It’s basically a representation of your self conscious, your safe space if you will. Everyones’ looks a little different. Most of the time you’ll have a spirit guide talking you through it. On rare occasion, there are some people who do not have a guide so your brain will use someone closest to you in order to help you through it. They usually help you decide what’s next.”
“Who was mine?”
“No idea.” and I’m met with a scuff “Its not my department.”
“Depart-” she narrows her eyes on you. “What is this a corporation?”
“No Emily its not like that.” Before you can finish she’s already walking away from you but she can get too far you blimp in front of her. “Only you know the answer to that question, I can’t get into your head. I only know a limited amount of information about Limbo because its not my place.”
“Then how do you know so much about me?”
“I...”
“Exactly!” I’m going to need this woman to stop storming off in the middle of a conversation. “You know a hell of a lot more than you’re letting on.”
“I’m telling you everything you need to know.” You ineffectively defend yourself.
She scuffs “What you're doing is proving my point.”
“Alright,” you stop her “Ask me anything.”
She seems to consider it and then after a minute, she begins. “Who are you?”
You’re speechless for a second, surprised by her first question. “Excuse me?”
“Who are you? You’ve told me nothing about yourself except your name. So who are you” Wow! You’re very forward.
“I’m honestly not sure how to answer that.”
“Are you a ghost, spirit, whatever?” She crosses her arms defensively.
“Yes. What else would I be?” you laugh a little at that.
She shrugs, “How do you seem to know so much about me?”
“Because I heard your team talking and sometimes I just get a feeling.” At her suspicious expression, you continue. “I’ve been around so long and met so many different people that I have sort of a 6th sense. I also heard your people talking about you and the incident.”
Her face morphs into that of sympathy.“How long have you been here?”
“Not long, a few years, maybe four or five. Its hard to tell. All I have to go on is medical charts, calendars, and other spirits.”
“What did you mean by ‘not my department?”
“It’s not a job in the sense  you’re thinking.”
She looks almost hesitant to ask the next question. “How’d you die?”
You take a sharp intake before answering, “I was poisoned.” You feel a tear prick your eyes, you never talk about your death because you’re always busy dealing with everyone else’s. ‘‘The doctors did everything they could but it was too late, it had already reached my bloodstream.”
She looks as if she regrets her actions but if she cared she wouldn’t have asked that question. A bit rude in my opinion. “I’m so sorry.” She rubs your arm lightly.
“It’s okay.” You reassure her. “After my death, I stuck around, I became a Wanderer.” Before she can interrupt you again you quickly answer her unanswered question. “A Wandering spirit is one of the worse kinds. They died way before their time and left too many things unfinished in their life. Usually, your self conscious/Limbo stage is supposed to help with that but since I was never ‘unconscious’ I didn’t go through one.” You want to believe that you’re telling her all of this because she asked but its because she’s easy to talk to. Spirits are very selfish in your experience so its nice to have someone like her here to listen to you. Calling them “selfish” isn’t fair, they suffered major trauma and someone needed to help them through it. “It’s really hard to help a wanderer move on so there’s still 3 or 4 moving around but they don’t bother anyone. Most of them are busy trying to leave the hospital or get back to their bodies.”
“That is so sad.”
“I’ve tried my best to help them and I’ve been pretty helpful over the years but they just would not let go.” you trail off in thought.
“Hey,” she rubs your arm again. “What about you?”
“What about me?” You repeat confused.
“You said you were one. What happened?”
“I figured it out.” You shrug nonchalantly “There was no one around to help me so I helped myself. All of the spirits I ran into were also lost but they found their way. It’s complicated I know. So I started to take notes on their experiences and applying them to myself. Whenever I would meet a very religious person I’d rack their brains on how they felt about all of this. You’d be surprised by the number of priests I’ve met.” you both laugh at that, she has the most beautiful smile you’ve seen in a while. “Instead of moving on, I decided to stay and assist the new spirits with their transition.”
“You’re allowed to do that?”
“The invitation doesn’t expire...or at least that’s what I’m told.” You immediately regret revealing the last part to her.
“What you’re told?” She repeats. You panic a bit and try to walk away but the brunette quickly grabs you by the forearm and turns you around. “Hey, no that’s my thing remember? Now, who told you that?”
You weigh your options and telling her the truth seems to be one of the worst ones but something about Agent Prentiss makes you want to tell her all of your secrets. “A saint.”
“A saint?”
“Yes, a saint.”
“Like in the bible?” She asks completely baffled.
“Actually the Catholics got it wrong, they’re not at all like what we were taught growing up. Apparently, there was word that a wandering spirit found their way and stayed to help others transition. Said spirit being myself. He basically came to bestow his blessings and let me know the invitation doesn’t expire.”
“So God is real? Heaven is real?” Never took her for the religious type.
“Truth is, I don’t really know Emily. Its more complicated than heaven and hell. Black and white. God and science. Its not my place to tell you what to believe in.”
“Fair enough.” After a beat of silence she asks, “So what do we do now?”
“What do you want to do?” you ask softly.
She takes a deep breath before answering, “I want to see my team.”
“Are you sure? I’m not sure that’s a good idea.”
“Yeah,” she shrugs your concern off “I’m sure. Can you take me?”
You nod and then take her hand in yours. You take her to her room, lucky for you her team is all standing outside of the room while the morgue nurses take care of her. When ghosts see their bodies there tends to be a bad reaction. When she sees her team there seems to be a level of tension lifted off her shoulders. She really does love them, and they love her back. They’re a family, not a team. You give them some time alone while you contemplate your choices. Am I doing a good job or making this worse for her?
Your thoughts are interrupted by her walking up to you, she’s not crying but you can tell she wants to. “I uh,” she stumbles “Are they going to be okay? I want them to get through this.”
“They’ll be okay Prentiss.” you stroke her crossed arms.
“How do you know that?”
“Like I said agent, I’ve met enough spirits to know how death affects a family.” She’s not buying this. “Look I can call in a favor if you don’t believe me.” Why are you offering this? Favors are a one time thing and you might need it.
“Could you call in that favor for me? Please?”
You smile at her and then nod. “Of course Emily, but in order for me to do that I need you to do me one teeny favor.”
“Anything.”
You transport both of you into the floral courtyard. “You have to stay here while I call in that favor.”
“Why?”
“Emily, you have to stay here. I don’t need you running around causing trouble for yourself.”
She gives you a very suspicious look before reluctantly agreeing. You don’t trust her answer so you make sure to stay nearby while praying to Saint Francis of Assisi, he’s the one that owes you.
After convincing him that this is necessary and you’re doing this for the right reasons, he agrees. “There’s something different about her? Tell me what it is.”
“No.” You flat out tell him. “Remember what I said about asking nicely when you want something.”
“Please, excuse my actions dear, it appears that I am out of conversational practice.”
“Its okay France.” you laugh “Now can you please help me help her?”
“Of course, whatever you desire.” He plucks the image into your brain. “Next time I am near we must discuss your muse.
You laugh again at his antics, “Whatever you say France. Whatever you say.”
When you return to the courtyard to discover its deserted. “Shit!” You pick up your feet and make a mad dash through the hospital but it ends shortly with Emily standing in the middle of the pediatric hallway. “Hey!” you grab her shoulder but she doesn’t turn around. “I thought I told you to stay put.”
Her eyes are fixated elsewhere, almost trance like. “The girl, she was crying.” she points in front of her and you follow her line of sight. “Why is she crying? Why isn’t anyone helping her?”
She wasn’t meant to find the pediatric unit. You were supposed to keep her as far away from here as possible. “Emily...” the words fall dead on your lips. She walks out from under your touch and toward the crying child. “Hi.” she says while crouching down her eye level. “My name’s Emily. What’s your name?” The child’s cries dialed down to puppy like whining.
“Jonah.” She can’t be older than 6 years old. She’s in her pajamas with a small blank and little brown bear. “My friends call me Jo.”
“What’s wrong sweetheart?” she begins to wipe the child’s tears with the pad of her thumb.
“My- my- my mommy, she-” the poor girl could barely get anything out through the sniffling.
She shushes the baby and pulls her into her arms. “Its okay Jonah, you’re okay.”
After her breathing starts to steady she says, “My mommy and daddy are crying and they can’t see me.” She then starts to cry again and Emily just holds her tighter.
“Jonah,” she pulls her away so she can look into her eyes. “My friend here,” she looks over her shoulder to you. “Is going to help you. Okay?” The kid just nods in response. “You have to go with them, okay?
“I don’t want to leave my mommy and daddy.” she whines.
“I know, I know but...” she draws “You can take your blanky and bear with you.” she promises with a big smile. “Okay?”
“Can you go with me?” Emily looks back at you for approval but you just shrug.
Another thing about ghosts is that the children, especially the younger ones, are easier to convince. It makes your job significantly easier but that doesn’t make it any less depressing.
So you take them into the light with Emily holding the child’s hand. “All you have to do is walk through Jonah. Its better on that side.”
She looks up at Emily and then back at you. “Promise?” she holds out her pinky and you instantly take it.
“Promise.”
She looks towards Emily for confirmation. “Its okay.” She lets her hand go and before crossing, she looks at you and Emily one last time, then waves goodbye.
“You’re disturbingly good at that. Your job requires you to work with kids often?”
“In the worst circumstances.” she answers. “Now,” she turns to you “My team.”
“Your family, Agent Prentiss, and don’t worry they’re going to be fine.” The clips of her loved ones start to play in your head.
“How do I know that?”
“What so you don’t trust me anymore?” you joke but she doesn’t laugh “Sorry, right. Give me you hands.”
“Why?”
“Just give me your hands Agent Prentiss.” She slowly gives you her hands. “Take a deep breath for me, Softie.” She actually laughs/huffs a little at that. “Are you ready?” She nods and you begin to release the clips into her subconscious; it implants itself like a memory. When you finish you open your eyes she’s surprisingly not in tears, hell I know I would be if I wasn’t so numb to grief. The clips are a perfect combination of tragedy and joy but in the end, they’re okay.
“So,” She adjusts herself “Do I want to know what you had to do to pull that off?”
“I blew a god.” at her wide eyed reaction you burst into a fit of laughter. “I’m kidding Prentiss, I’m kidding.”
“Oh haha very funny.” She soon joins in on your laughter and oh my god it sounds amazing. “Hey,” She gets your attention and looks deeply into your eyes. “Thank you for that. Really.”
You pull her in for a big hug and while her head’s down you take both of you to the green yard. (Another courtyard in the middle hub.) There’s a ton of miniature yards with different themes in order to help patients get fresh air and a better view without putting themselves in harm’s way. The kids love the butterfly garden the most, directly in the middle of the pediatric wing. Your favorite is this one but you have no idea what its meant to be called so you just call it the Green Yard. She lets go of you and now you’re both left with a comfortable silence. “What do we do now?” She asks you for the 3rd time and I’m not even sure how to answer.
“Are you ready to move on?”
“Am I ready to go into the light you mean?” You know for a smart person she asks some dumb questions.
”Yeah.” you nod, “If you’re ready I can take you.”
“Actually,” she pauses while stepping towards you. “I’d like to stay.” Well that one threw you for a complete loop. At your facial expression she continues. “Not forever of course and only if the said ‘invitation’ you talk about doesn’t expire.”
“You- you want to stay?” you stutter.
She nods with all serious. “Why would I be in rush a rush to leave when I could help other spirits? You saw that little girl! She had no one.”
“Yes well this isn’t a decision to take likely.” You offer her a small smile but she doesn’t take it. Her face is stoic and is giving me major compartmentalization vibes.”Emily do you seriously want to continue helping victims even in the afterlife?”
“Yes. I do.” She takes one of your hands. “There’s nothing I’d rather do.

Golden Child (I)

《 A/n: so this is the bnha inspired thingy, I just got some ideas from it and just created stuff from my imagination lol. Please don't expect too much I just made this series for fun :>> feel free to express your opinions about this 》

On the prevailing modern generation, possessing a superpower or also know as a "quirk" is nothing uncommon. It was first witnessed a few centuries ago and it continued to cultivate with different combinations until it became normalized in the society. A person is also determined if he's light or dark (aura), this benefits the user whenever he uses his quirk. Acquiring a quirk comes around 5 to 8 years old of age. Fundamental hero courses were then introduced and applied in academic institutions. If a child is quirkless or so as called as a "vigilante", general studies are provided.
However, many individuals began to dwell in desire and selfishness due to the rivalry of being a powerful mortal. This made the villains emerge from their own shadows as they try to surpass the good and take over the federal civilization.
Noble families (pure-blood heroes) are assigned to ensure the safety of their municipality. This became a standard law, though it is required for them to pass from the hero course to use their quirks freely. Your father, Kang Haneul is one of the nobles too. He's an exceptional hero and always protected the people from the bad. His Ice whip (light) quirk allowed him to generate ice trendils from his arms and command it on his will.
He went on with his job until he encountered the "Mistress", her quirk was unknown but it was said to be so powerful. They both fell in love and kept their relationship secret because it was forbidden since the Mistress was a well-known evildoer.
They both got into a conflict when Haneul married another woman unbeknownst to the Mistress. He even had a daughter with his wife kept it from her too.
You were then conceived from an affair that was frowned upon by your father's household since they are nobles. After the Mistress gave birth to you, your father took you away immediately then raised you with his real wife and daughter. Even though it took time for them to accept your existence, they noticed your potential to become a hero when you attained your quirk at the age of 6.
About your quirk, it was incredibly potent, Half-cold Half-hot. As they predicted your aura was also half-light half-dark. You were a unique combination, rumors started to spread about the youngest Kang and then you earned the title of being a "Golden Child" due to your extraordinary power.
It was rare to get a dual quirk, this allowed you to generate ice and fire from your right and left body correspondingly. For your auras, you have light in your right then dark in your left.
(A/n: lol todoroki much 😂)
You were home-schooled at your father's mansion while simultaneously trained to control and use your power with accuracy. You hated unnecessary attention that's why you're contented at being isolated.
On the other hand, your (half) older sister Kang Seulgi is very enthusiastic and outgoing if she's compared to your composed and calm behavior. The two of you get along just fine, you appreciated her as a family but you couldn't withstand her persistent nagging. She would always tell you to go out and have some fun which you find it absurd. You're fine by yourself and you'll continue to mature like that.
At the age of 11, you got invited into a summer camp which is formulated to strengthen your skills in combat and to enhance your quirk as well. There were several pupils who you trained with at the time, but you got close to a particular blonde though.
"Hi! I'm Lisa, can we be friends?" You remembered her saying.
The other kids discreetly avoided you since your aura was pretty intense, but Lisa did the opposite.
"I-I'm Y/n..." You uttered merely.
"I see, so you're the shy type huh? Don't worry, I'll be your best friend from now on!" she told you, her voice filled with confidence.
Practically the two of you became close after that. She would come over every now and then since the mansion settles in the countryside neighborhood which is pretty far from Leiden (downtown area).
As time passed, you became stronger than before. Seulgi would even team up with Lisa as they challenge you into a match. Honestly, they don't work well together but they managed to win against you many times. Seulgi's quirk is permeation (light) while Lisa has whirlwind (dark).
The two of them studied at a school unlike you, sometimes you felt a little envious but it would go away eventually. Your father had told you numerous times that it was just to ensure your safety. You just understood that and concentrated on studying and increasing your ability.
----
It's been a few years now and you're currently stepping inside the most renowned Leidenschaft University in the land of Roswell. By your side, your sister Seulgi had a cocky smile on her face as you both walked along the hall. Bunch of students murmured endlessly when they recognized who you are, it was in the middle of the term so transferees are rarely accepted into this hero school. They guessed that you probably entered through recommendations since your father is a famous hero. Nonetheless, you didn't care and just continued to walk to wherever your sister is going.
"I think they're starting to like you, Y/n. You should've come with me during the first day," Seulgi chuckled while teasing you purposely.
"Whatever... Just send me to the principal's office or something."
You rolled your eyes out of annoyance, you wouldn't even be here if you didn't lose the deal that Seulgi made.
~ Flashback ~
You're just sitting peacefully behind your desk as you played with your ice, making random shapes on your hand while Seulgi sat across you. She suddenly banged the poor table and stood up with her eyes lit up playfully.
"Yah! Since you're starting high school this year, why don't you study at my university? I'll speak to dad about it," she said.
You just shrugged ignorantly, deciding to play her own game.
"And what will I get from it?"
"Hmm, okay let's settle this out. If you win against me in a fight then you don't have to go, but if you lose..." She smirked.
"Fine, let's go to the yard then," you wore your metal mask and followed your sister outside.
You're not really optimistic when it comes to fighting against Seulgi. Even though you're quite hard to beat, you know that she's a little tougher than you.
Seulgi positioned herself at the opposite of the open lawn as you went ahead and prepared your stance. You huffed through your mask while thinking about your strategy to gain a victory from the latter.
"Siwon-ah can you infer whoever falls to the ground first?" You asked your servant who's standing below a tree to get some shade.
"Will do, young master." he bowed politely.
"I'll strike first!"
Seulgi instantly went under the ground and suddenly appeared from behind. You dodged her kick then filled your right arm with glaciers as you tried to jab her abdomen. Unfortunately, your hand went through the girl, she took advantage of it and quickly punched your face which made you trip a bit.
"Fuck..." You cussed mentally.
She scoffed at your situation, Seulgi clearly wants you to wield your fire ability.
"Come on, use your left side. It's not really a big deal."
You blasted multiple ice balls towards her direction, whilst thinking about using your flames.
"You can't defeat me with ice Y/n, I'm sure you already know that," she added.
You activated your dark aura instead which made Seulgi feel the chills. It made her suffer from your dominant ambiance since she's a light, the girl went pass through you again when she aimed to make you slip. You were caught off guard from her speed as she swiftly locked your left ankle.
"Ouch!" She yelped.
You knew she was very naive to start on. You secretly activated your flames into its minimal energy, maybe a little surprised too that Seulgi didn't saw you emitting some fumes on your left body.
"Oops! My bad."
Your sister looked at you unbelievably, like she saw something scarcely credible. You chuckled at her reaction as you immediately attacked by shooting your flames to her direction. Seulgi hissed from the heat that you granted, she absolutely want to end the fight soon.
"You smart-ass! You're going to regret that Kang Y/n," she whacked your guts out harshly that made you groan and fall on your knees.
"Yah! You didn't have to overdo it so much!" You whined lowly.
Seulgi's pissed off face turned into a smile when she realized that she had beaten you.
"It's been decided. You're going to my school young lady."
You let out tons of complaints before deciding to remove your metal mask. The steam of vapor came out from your mouth as you breathed heavily. Your sister walked towards you and fixed your disheveled hair. (u can have da same hair like todoroki’s 😉)
“Aigoo, stop sulking already. I promise it's going to be fun studying there.”
On the other hand, Siwon just shook his head in disbelief as he knew you were alright. The three of you then entered the mansion once again as you dwell upon your loss.
"Tsk, be thankful that I didn't go all out this time..." You said.
Seulgi just laughed at your childishness while planning to discuss your application form with Mr. Kang.
~ flashback ends ~
So that happened which is why you are inside this massive academic establishment.
You and Seulgi were about to enter the principal's office when a familiar voice called for your attention.
"Y/n!"
Lisa jogged towards you as she left her group of friends confused.
"You didn't have to shout like that..." You utter awkwardly.
The blonde did not seem to care and hugged you instead.
"I'm sorry I just didn't expect to see you here, why did you keep this from me? I thought you're going to be home-schooled again," Lisa whined while tugging on the blazer of your uniform.
"I wanted to see your reaction, but I think it wasn't a good idea. Now all the students are looking at me because of you."
What you said was certainly true, your tall appearance is really eye-catching if your asking. (I also want you to know that your left eye is blue-)
"Fine, I hope we'll be classmates then. Now go get your schedule and see you later boy."
Lisa finally left as you both entered the office. A man in his 40s greeted you with excitement, you glanced down at his table and saw a name in the metal placard which said 'Mr. Park Jinyoung.'
"Good morning, Seulgi-ah. I see, so is this your sister?"
"Yes sir. She will be staying with us from now on," she answered.
"That's great! Hi Y/n, I'm JYP and this is your schedule. I'm happy to have you here in Leidenschaft University," he said.
"Thank you sir, I'll do my best."
You and Seulgi bowed politely and left the office. She showed you around the school then told you about some specific areas and such.
When you both arrived in front of your assigned homeroom, Seulgi knocked on the door which had 'Class 1-A' engraved on it.
The door opened as a teacher came out with a gentle smile on his face.
"Oh? Seulgi, what are you doing here?"
"Ahh Mr. Ok, I'm just here to drop off my sister. Please take care of her for me," Seulgi said.
You learned that your adviser's name is Ok Taecyeon which is presumably the man in front of you. Your sister gave you a warm pat on the back then went to her own class since she's a 2nd year.
Mr. Ok guided you inside the room that is filled with other students. Their eyes are also fixated on you which made you feel a little anxious.
'Is she really the golden child?'
'Damn, I didn't know she was that hot'
'I heard she's Seulgi sunbaenim's sister'
'Ugh she's pretty and handsome at the same time'
'I think I'm whipped'
You heard some chatters from your dear classmates, you just let them be and found yourself sighing at relief when you saw Lisa sitting at the back as she waved her hand discreetly.
"Uhh hi, I'm Kang Y/n. Please take care of me," they acknowledged your presence.
Mr. Ok then told you to sit beside someone named Sana, you glanced through the students when you saw an orange-haired girl raising her hand cutely. You assumed that it was her so you walked towards the girl and sat on the vacant seat by her side.
"Hi I'm-"
"Minatozaki Sana" you finished her statement.
The girl looked astonished but then realized that their uniforms had name tags on them.
"A-Ahh yes that's right, you're cute ya know that?" She flirted with ease.
You gave Sana a tiny smile and looked away from her intense stare. You felt someone looking from the side, then you sensed a familiar aura coming from that person.
"Dahyun unnie?"

'Wake up, Y/N.' I heard a voice from a distance, after a while I realized it was Octavia calling for me.
Slowly gaining full consciousness again, I felt my head pounding and my ears ringing. The explosion had me blacked out for a long time and now the sky was already dark.
'You feel alright?' She whispered as she laid on the ground. 'Don't move, the patrols are watching us from above.'
'Don't worry, I wouldn't be able to move even if I wanted to.' I whispered back and sighed. 'They shot my leg earlier before the explosion.'
'We should try to move when the lights aren't hitting us. I'll help you up.' Seeing the pattern from the lights going left and right, it seems as though they were detecting Wonkru with them. 'They won't see us when the lights aren't flashing this way.'
With my cheek against the ground, I tried looking around without moving anything but my eyes. 'Where's Bellamy?'
'I don't know, I haven't seen him. Maybe he escaped because I haven't seen Indra either.' I was scared that once we try to rush off to meet with the others, we'll discover Bellamy dead on the ground.
'Stop, don't think like that. You have that look on your face.' Octavia breathed as she watched my facial expression, 'Bellamy is okay. We have to worry about getting out of here first. Can you get up?'
'Why are you so eager to save me, O? Are you genuinely caring or are you scared to face war alone?' It was stupid of me to bring this up now at a life-or-death moment but it just blurted out; I couldn't keep nice with her anymore and needed to let everything out.
Octavia raised her voice but still in a low tone. 'Of course I want to save you. How can you say that?'
Her voice had a harsher tone but her face said it all; she feared something. All of what was happening right now scared her.
'You're scared, just admit it. We know each other too damn well to lie to so jus-'
'Okay! I'm scared. Is that what you want to hear? Damn it, you're going to have to get the fuck up or we're both going to die here tonight.'
After years of putting up a front, we were both finally honest; six years after hiding our true feelings, I knew how uneasy that was for her to admit everything and show her vulnerability. All of it was hard for me too, doing the same thing to Bellamy.
Letting all the anger out probably made us both feel better because now, it was quiet between us. Shortly realizing we had to get moving, I finally spoke up. 'I-I don't know if I can make it, my leg is pretty messed up.'
Octavia crawled slowly next to me as she gripped on my hips tightly. 'We go together when the next light passes.'
Both of us eyed the light that flashed across the dark area, going left and right. When the light finally left our sight, I quickly got up even when the pain was nearly unbareable.
'Now!' Octavia whispered loudly as she practically carried me across to the big boulder that would be able to cover us from the search light.
'Y/N? Octavia?' Bellamy turned to us, 'I thought you guys made it out. You guys okay?'
Both mine and Octavia's eyes widened, scared that we ran into one of McCreary's men. I was also surprised to see him still here.
'Y/N is hurt, really bad.' Octavia replied to her brother as she slowly set me down against the boulder. 'What should we do now?'
Bellamy chuckled in frustration, 'We? You're the one that got us in this mess. You can figure this out on your own.'
'I tried, okay? And I'm sorry. Can we please just find a way to get us all out in one piece please?'
He sighed, 'Can you walk still Y/N?'
'I can try but I don't know if I can stay up for too long. I'm pretty much useless.'
'I'll get you out. I just need a distraction.' Octavia was determined to get me out of here, I've never seen her so serious; the last time she was, it was the day Wonkru chose her as leader.
'Guys, I appreciate it but let's be real... I won't be able t-'
Bellamy cut me off, denying everything. 'We're getting back to the others one way or another.'
Octavia stared at her brother and took a breath. 'He's right Y/N. I got an idea but Bellamy, you're going to have to carry Y/N and run as fast as you can.'
'What are you going to do Octavia?' I asked with concern. Octavia and I had a bit of a rough patch but I didn't want anything bad to happen to her.
'You two just go.' Octavia bit her lip as she saw my facial expression. 'What? Earlier you were eager to fight me but suddenly you're worried about me?'
I eyed Octavia in awe, worried about what crazy scheme she was planning in her head. What bothered me the most about this was that Bellamy wasn't doing anything to stop her.
'Whatever you have in mind, I don't like it. Oct-'
'Y/N look, everything that's happening right now is my fault and I need to fix this. Fix Wonkru, fix our friendship, fix everything I've broken in the past six years. Let me do this.'
'No, I'm not letting you.' I shook my head and quickly turned to Bellamy. 'Please help me out here, stop her Blake.'
Bellamy looked at me and then his sister in silence, I knew he was thinking about this situation in his head and I didn't like that he was hesitating.
Shoving his arm, I grunted. 'Stop your sister!'
'I can't.'
'Why not?'
'Just let her do what she needs to do.'
My nose twitched as tears started falling from my eyes. I hated that I was crying but I felt so hopeless and useless. My leg was starting to feel numb and I couldn't stand that I was so damn vulnerable.
This wasn't how I imagined being back on the land after leaving the bunker. Things were supposed to be joyous and that's all I hoped it would be.
Of course that wasn't the case.
Just as if I was on the Ark again, it was never happiness but always a disaster. I didn't know why I even bothered to hope for change. It never worked.
Octavia grabbed my hands and tried to smile, 'Omon Gon Oson.'
'Don't do this, I can't lose anyone else.' I sniffled, 'It's supposed to be me and you, always remember?'
'You're going to be fine.' She mumbled before she walked into the enemy's vision. What was worse was that I couldn't even jump in front of her to stop what she was doing and Bellamy didn't move a single muscle.
Octavia raised her hands and put it behind her head, surrendering in front of McCreary's men. All the lights flashed right at her, getting all the attention. I bet they loved that Blodreina was finally on her knees and not fighting back.
I closed my eyes shut as I heard Octavia scream. She let out all the pain and the suffering that tortured us throughout our lives in hell. This was it for us, the final path together but I couldn't take one last look at her; seeing her lying on the floor would've been agonizing.
My eyes shut tighter as I heard guns from a distance, slowly coming towards us. I knew something wasn't right because the sound of an engine came closer as well.
'They came...' Bellamy muttered under his breath as the Rover stopped right in front of Octavia.
'Get in now!' Echo yelled from the passenger seat, shooting towards McCreary's army.
Bellamy picked me up and rushed to the Rover as John opened the back door for us to hop in. 'Come on, we have to hurry.'
Octavia joined us in the backseat and John quickly closed the door. 'We're good to go!'
Madi switched the gears and turned the car around quickly while Echo slowed them down, getting an opportunity to drive off without any problem.
Echo smirked as she turned her head around, 'Glad to see you all alive.'
'Y/N's leg is pretty fuc-'
'I'll be fine.' I interrupted Bellamy, hoping the stern tone from my voice wasn't too obvious that I was infuriated with him. How could he just leave his sister like that?
Emori shifted her eyes toward me and scratched her head. 'Funny how we're back to where it all started.'
Thinking back to the time where Emori shoved me through the rover, I chuckled lightly. 'What a throwback, huh.'
'Wow, this isn't awkward at all.' John joked.
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Y/N? Y/N?'
Jumping back to reality, my eyes followed the direction my name was coming from. John waved his hand in my face, trying to get my attention. 'You with me here?'
'Oh, yeah. Sorry.' I said casually as he sat next to me. I've been in bed rest since we got back to camp and I was getting easily distracted by my thoughts.
'That's all I get? Not even a "I missed you." Huh?' He laughed lightly as he reached for a hug, 'Because I surely did miss you, Y/N.'
Hugging him tightly, I responded. 'Of course I missed you. I was just distracted for a bit, sort of forgot you were in the tent with me.'
'You know, I was hoping I would catch you with warpaint across your face like Monty said. Apparently you scared the shit out of him and Harper.'
From embarrassment of my dark and nasty past, I faked a smile. 'Ah, yeah. Not my finest moment.'
'Hey, if it makes you feel better, I'm sure you looked really hot. The "grounder" look would've been so-'
Immediately, I lightly punched him on his arm. 'Don't say stuff like that considering the fact that you have a girlfriend. Emori already hates me as it is.'
'Ah yeah...' John scratched the back of his head and sighed. 'News flash, her and I aren't dating anymore. It's a bit complicated.'
'Relationships are always complicated.' I looked to the ground as the first thought that came to my head was about Bellamy.
It wasn't even our "complicated" relationship that I was thinking about, it was how he betrayed his sister and left her to die out on the field that bothered me so much.
'Let me guess, Bellamy?' John said.
Looking up as our eyes met, I tried to pretend otherwise even when it was clearly about him. John knew me too well, chuckling as he saw me try to hide my emotions. ''You're so easy to read, Y/N. Look, I've heard about you and the whole Skafaiya transformation but you're always the same person deep down. I don't buy the whole "princess of hell" bullshit.'
'You're the only one who thinks that, John. You also haven't seen the real me. The dark side that I unleashed down at the bunker.' Flashbacks of the killings gets me every time; I hated that I stooped so low.
'I've known you for a long time, Y/N. Whatever you went through and done at the bunker, I'm sure you did it for a reason. I don't believe you as a bad guy or having a bad side, ever.'
John's smile made me feel warmth that I haven't felt in a long time. I'll never forgive myself for the things I've done but hearing John say that about me gave me some sort of hope.
We've known each other for so long, from the day we met in Pike's class, both of us getting locked up in the Skybox until now. It was nice to know John's genuine thoughts about me after the tough years we faced together.
'It's nice to hear that, really but there isn't an excuse for the all the bad stuff I did.'
'Y/N, I've done some bad things too.' He laughed everything off and continued, 'Let's see, I accidentally turned off our oxygen source everyone was pissed. Uhm, I tried going a week without eating Monty's nasty Algae. Yuck. I eventually gave up because I was starving.'
His "bad things" was nothing compared to mine but knowing his old tricks, I knew what he was doing. 'You're still really good at distracting me, I see.'
'Yes I am.' He continued to think about the last six years in the Ring, 'Ah. Bad news for you but Bellamy and I fought almost everyday. You have to give me some credit though because I didn't start all the fighting and arguing.'
'What did you guys fight about this time?'
'Honestly, about you.' John raised his eyebrows and tilted his head down. 'Which is also kind of the reason why Emori and I broke up years ago.'
Furrowing my eyebrows, I started to worry. I knew Bellamy and John never saw eye to eye but I never wanted to ruin their relationship. Especially with Emori, I felt terrible that I was the reason for their problems. 'If it's about the fight before Priamfaya, I-'
'She was out of line when she pushed you out of the rover. Jealousy or not, she could've almost killed you.' John took a deep breath, stressed from remembering the tense memories. 'It wa- that wasn't the breaking point for our relationship. It did make me mad but...'
'But what?'
John paused for a moment; I figured he didn't want to talk about his breakup between Emori which was why I didn't ask again. Before I tried to change the subject, he spoke. 'I told her I still loved you.'
It was a complete surprise, considering I never thought that this would happen at all. We've both moved on, found someone else for ourselves. I'll always have a place in my heart for John but he seemed so happy with Emori, I would've never thought.
'Hence the tension between Bellamy and I. Emori eventually told him about my feelings towards you and ever since, we've been fighting like crazy. So much for happy Spacekru family, huh.' John nervously chuckled.
'John, I-'
'No, no need for an apology or anything. Emori always had doubts about our relationship so it's not anything new. Don't worry about it.' It was easy to tell his smile was fake, 'Besides, I know you love Bellamy. I don't want to get in between you two.'
We both stared at each other, it was weird how I felt. John was my best friend, my only best friend from the Ark that I had left after Finn died. We have so much history together and we've come a long way.
I didn't know if it was his empathy or my anger for Bellamy that made me feel something different for John. It's been a long time since John and I even had a slight connection but it didn't feel all that wrong.
Both our head turned as we heard Bellamy come into my tent, John gave him a smug. 'What's up?'
'What are you doing in here?' Bellamy questioned him.
'A friend can't visit me in my tent?' I rolled my eyes as I got on my foot. John and Bellamy watched me like a sad puppy as I stood up on my bad leg. 'My leg is fine. Just a little sore.'
'You need to rest, Reyes.'
'We came back, I've rested. Now the suns up which means it's time to get a move on.' I walked slowly, limping as well but it didn't bother me as much as Bellamy bothered me.
John sighed, 'Y/N. Getting Shallow Valley is important but we can do this on our own. You're mor-'
'You shut up Murphy.'
'Leave him alone.' I glared at Bellamy and approached him. 'Seems like betrayal runs in the family huh? You and Octavia are exactly the same.'
Bellamy shook his head, 'Is that what you're mad about? Do you really wanna talk about betrayal right now?'
John got in between us, facing me as he tried to calm me down. 'I'll be fine, John. Just walk away because I don't want you to get hurt.'
As he nodded and walked out of my tent, Bellamy laughed sarcastically, 'You think I'm going to hurt Murphy?'
'You know I was really, genuinely happy about us trying to move on. I get that Octavia has done some things she isn't proud of but so have I.' Hoping that this will be a peaceful conversation, I kept my tone of voice. 'If you're considering being at peace with what I've done, why can't you with your own sister?'
'It's not the same- she's my sister.'
Watching Bellamy crumble as he thought of his sister reminded me of the reaction I was going to get when I finally see Raven again. Maybe in a way I understood, it was more of a disappointment perhaps.
I can't even imagine how disgusted Raven felt about me knowing what I've done. I knew that Raven would be so disappointed in me as well as embarrassed to even be associated with me.
It was hard to fully understood Bellamy's point of view in this but thinking from Raven's perspective I tried to sympathize with his thoughts. The fact of the matter was it didn't change what Octavia and I both did.
The only thing I could do was nod in response, acknowledging Bellamy as he thought about his sister's change. Not thinking anymore of their relationship I tried changing the subject. 'Are we all ready to head out?'
'Reyes, you're not serious are you?' He knew I wouldn't give up and Bellamy was worried now more than ever, especially because McCreary showed no mercy. Hearing what he has done to our people, he didn't want anything worse to happen to me.
'My sister is taken hostage by a psychopath and our "beloved" Clarke Griffin. I can't stay here and do nothing.' My sarcasm was uncalled for but considering our past and what she was doing to our friends, I couldn't care less.
Bellamy knew I was too stubborn to listen to him, he sighed. 'Come on, we have a plan.'
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Octavia kneeling for a natbleda, can you believe that? Now that Wonkru has a new commander, we might actually have a chance.' Emori praised as she drove the Rover.
'You think that little kid can lead a clan?' John chuckled, 'I mean better than Octavia I guess but I don't know.'
'All Wonkru wants is a natbleda to follow. Madi is smart and capable, I believe in her.' Echo followed up with John's question. She then turned to me and eyed my leg. 'I'm more worried about you Y/N.'
It was weird being on the same side of history with a woman that nearly killed me and my friend in the past, now she was worried about my injuries. 'I'll be fine once I know that Raven is okay.'
'Ah fuck!' As we heard bullets hitting the Rover, Emori punched the dashboard. 'They damaged the engine.'
'We need to go now.' Bellamy grabbed his machine gun and left the Rover with Echo who had an arrow on her hand.
John screamed as the bullet hit him on the shoulder, 'Fucking pricks!' He grabbed tightly onto the remote that activated the weapon that was attached to the Rover.
The enemy's voices echoed throughout the valley as Murphy shot them one after the other. Followed by a huge explosion thanks to Bellamy and Echo, the screams coming from the other side were now silent.
'Done.' John breathed heavily as he held onto his wounded shoulder.
Quickly rushing over to John, I checked his wound. He chuckled, 'Ha. Now we have a matching bullet wound.'
'That's not funny. How are you feeling?'
John stared at me with a serious look on his face. The sudden change of his mood from sarcasm to seriousness scared me a bit. 'What?'
He suddenly grabbed onto my cheek and crashed his lips on to mine, everything took me by surprised and I didn't know what to do but to pull away. 'Jo-'
'Saw the opportunity and I took it.' He laughed a bit. 'You didn't seem like you hate it though, Y/N.'
John wasn't entirely wrong when he said that but I was confused about my feelings towards him and Bellamy. 'You're lucky Emori isn't in here or she would've thrown me off the rover again.'
'I wouldn't let her hurt you.' John smiled as he opened the door to the vehicle. 'Besides, I saw her leave the rover.'
There it was again, that feeling in the pit of my stomach. The same butterflies I felt when John and I started dating for the first time up at the Ark. The feeling I got when Bellamy and I had our actual kiss before we went into Mount Weather.
It was all coming back again but this time it was for someone other than Bellamy.
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
Walking the rest of the way to Shallow Valley felt like a journey. My leg was starting to hurt ridiculously again and I honestly didn't know if I could go any further.
'Y/N, you're bleeding.' Madi pointed my injury out as we were getting close to the Valley. I've known for a while about the blood but I didn't want to slow the group down. 'You should sit down.'
'We don't have time to sit down. For all we know, McCreary has Raven at gun point and I cannot take the risk.'
Madi stood next to me, wrapped my arm around her as she helped me walk. 'Well we can't have both of you die.'
A chuckle escaped my mouth, 'That is true. This is why you're our commander. Smart girl.'
She smiled as she continued to help me, 'Speaking of, I wanted to ask you about that. Are you mad about everything?'
'Why would I be?' I shook my head, seeing concern all over Madi's face. 'I've really fucked everything up. You've been here for only a while and already making a huge difference.'
'Thanks. Clarke always loved talking about her friends and I loved hearing your story. With all your hard work you put for your people before Praimfaya, I couldn't believe everything that happened in the bunker.'
'Clarke's friend?' I laughed, 'Friend isn't how I describe our relationship.'
Madi nodded, 'Yeah, she told me everything that happened between you two. How one of her biggest regret was almost shooting you.'
'It wasn't the shooting part that made me mad, it was why she almost did it.' Still until this day, I knew that what Clarke did was wrong; trying to shove everyone out of the bunker including our own people.
Suddenly, a huge siren rang across the whole forest. It sounded like it was coming from the valley, which we were close to.
'Everyone listen up. I need everyone to rush to the transport ship now. There is a missile on the way down here and you guys have nine minutes.' Raven announced.
'Guys we have to hurry.' Bellamy looked back as him and Octavia led the group up to Shallow Valley. Panic flushed when he saw me leaning on Madi. 'Reyes, is it your leg?'
'Yeah, it's bad.' I bit my bottom lip, trying to bare the pain as the stitches were coming out. 'You guys need to go. I'll try to catch up.'
John yelled, walking to my side as he helped me also. 'Are you kidding me? We are all getting to that ship, together.'
Emori watched Madi and John help me walk through the Valley. 'Should you really be helping? Your bullet wound on your arm is still bleeding, John.'
'I'll be fine, Y/N can't even walk.' Him and Madi tried to get me to walk faster but at a pace where I wouldn't be in too much pain. 'Just in case this whole "missile is coming" thing is a trap from McCreary, it'll be better for you, Miller, Echo, Bellamy and Octavia to be in the frontline.'
Echo nodded her head, 'Good idea. Better safe than sorry.'
Bellamy stared at us suspiciously, mostly glaring at Murphy. 'If you are suddenly in pain where you can't help Y/N anymor-'
'I'm not letting anything happen to her.' John muttered as he motioned Bellamy to keep going towards the ship.
'We'll stay back here with you guys in case anything happens.' Harper smiled sweetly, walking along with Monty as we all continued to walk to the ship.
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
'Why do you always do this to me?' I mumbled, watching Kane sleeping peacefully on the hospital bed. He had gotten stabbed on the neck by one of Abby's patients from Diyoza's crew. Because of all the blood he lost from it, Kane was now unconscious. 'All the fucked up things you've done to me and I still don't want you dead.'
Even with my tore up leg from getting shot, even when we barely made it to the ship before the nine minute mark, even after all the things that happened between us, I cared about Marcus.
It wasn't fair that I had to feel all these pain when all Marcus did was leave me, just like he left me when I was a kid. All the bond we recreated over the years for him to betray me once again; not once but twice when he allied with Diyoza to destroy Wonkru.
All I wanted was for him to believe me; Trust that I didn't kill those innocent people because I wanted to. It was his girlfriend that blackmailed me to doing things I shouldn't have done. Abby Griffin had all of us wrapped around her dirty finger.
My thoughts were sidetracked when I heard the door open to the nurse room. Thinking it was Abby checking on Marcus, I gave a glare.
Instead it was Raven, standing there with a straight face as if she saw a ghost.
This was the moment I've dreaded since I came out of that bunker; the reunion with my sister after all the horrible things I've done down there.
Staying still on the chair next to Marcus, I didn't move at all. I was too embarrassed to say or do anything in front of her. I felt the judgment in her eyes as she looked at me up and down.
Raven approached me without changing her facial expression, heart beating faster and faster each step she took towards me. I've never been so scared to talk to her, or anyone for that matter.
She kneeled on my level to where I was sitting and then hugged me, 'Y/N... I'm so sorry.'
This wasn't the reaction I was expecting at all from my sister; she held me tightly and sniffles as she started to cry.
'I'm so sorry about everything you've went through. I can't imagine all the pain you're carrying right now.'
'No, no.' I cried with her, knowing that I didn't deserve her sympathy at all. 'Everything was all my fault and it went too far-'
She grabbed onto my cheeks, 'You and Octavia did the best you can. Okay? Things did get out of hand but no one else stood up by your side, like this man right here. Kane was supposed to support you but he didn't. It was just you two leading Wonkru.'
'You two were just kids trying to make it work, thought you did what you had to do. I'm sorry you had to go through that all by yourself. If I had just come back with Murphy and Emori-'
'If you'd gone to the bunker with them two you would've been dead, Raven. You couldn't have fixed yourself if you haven't stayed like you did. You're the last person I'd blame for any of this.'
Raven smiled softly, pulling me in and wrapping her arms around me once again. 'I've missed you so, so much Y/N.'
'I've missed you too, Raven. Thank you for not hating me.' I cried harder, relieved that I didn't lose my sister.
'Nothing could make me hate you, ever. You're the only sister I have. You're family, Y/N.'
✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤  ·  ✤
Both of us gossiped about all that things that happened within our lives in the past six years. Hell, more than that because I haven't seen her since she left Arkadia to go find some supplies at Becca's lab.
She even told me about Shaw, one of Diyoza's men that wasn't like the rest of them. Matter of fact, he helped Raven throughout the whole process of trying to get Shallow Valley. Although we failed at that since now were in space once again, he saved our lives from that missile McCreary launched before his death.
It made me happy that Raven found someone after Wick. She had a hard time trusting people and letting them in, after meeting Shaw I knew he was the right guy for her. They were so cute together.
As Raven and I were both giggling, Bellamy saw us from across the hallway. He then smiled and waved at me.
Bellamy checked on my leg as he walked over to us. 'How is your leg?'
'It's better now that I'm not moving too much. I'm more curious of the healing process during cryo. Do you think it'll heal or stay wounded?'
'That's what you're worried about?' Bellamy chuckled and then caressed my cheek. 'You're such a goofball and I've missed that about you, Y/N.'
Not knowing why Murphy and the kiss we shared in the rover was stuck in my head, I shifted my eyes away from him. The guilt was building inside me, even when I wasn't in the wrong at all.
Bellamy and I aren't together anymore, he was in the process of trying to forgive and forget. It was an exciting moment when he told me that but now I'm conflicted in my own heart and mind.
'You alright?' He rubbed my shoulder softly as he looked at me, 'Is it about the Octavia thing still?'
'No, not really. That's between you and her and I should've never butted in. I'm sorry.'
He shook his head, 'You two are really close now and I actually admire that you care so much about her. It's just tough for me to figure her out right now.'
Raven tugged on my shirt from behind. 'Okay Bellamy, time is up. Can I have my sister back?'
'We only got to talk for a few seconds.'
'I haven't seen Y/N since Arkadia burnt to the ground, I win.' Raven smirked, pulling me away from him and walking to the other direction.
'Can I see you before cryo, Reyes? I won't be able to see you for years again.' Bellamy shouted through the hallway.
'Maybe.' Raven responded, giggling as she walked beside me.
Bellamy laughed, 'No. The other Reyes.'
I turned around, flashing a smile towards Bellamy. 'I'll see you later, Blake.'
Raven continued to laugh as we strolled away from him. ‘No thanks to McCreary’s dumbass psycho self, we have to live up in space again.’
‘Live? We’re going to be in cryo for God knows how long.’ I sighed, ‘Finally we get out of this hell hole and now we have to literally start over. For all we know, we will never have a place to live ever again.’
My sister smirked at me, ‘Aw. Are you cranky because you couldn’t spend time with your dear old boyfriend?’
Playfully rolling my eyes, I softly hit Raven on her arm. ‘Har, har. And no, we aren’t even dating. Taking things slow.’
Although in my mind, I’m in a weird conflict between having feelings for both Bellamy and John I could never tell Raven. I loved her but I didn’t want to speak of something before I was completely sure of what my heart really wanted.
Raven smiled, 'You know I'm really glad you and Bellamy patched things up. With the whole Murphy hating, Echo kissing drama that was going on in The Ring, I neve-'
'Echo kissing drama?' I furrowed my eyebrows as I questioned Raven. 'What do you mean?'
'Oh. He never told you.' Raven's smile faded away as she realized that I knew nothing about this situation. 'Harper caught Echo and Bellamy kissing a few times. We don't know if they went all the way bu-'
'A few times?' My heart dropped, not knowing what emotion to feel about this. It was anger for Bellamy but majority was dissapointment and betrayal. It was tiring for me to keep crying over people that seem to not care about me.
Raven grabbed onto my forearm, 'Y/N I'm so sorry I thought you already knew about all of this.'
'No it's not your fault.' I pulled my arm away from her and ran away, embarrassed to cry in front of my sister. I heard Raven call for my name multiple times but I continued to run away, I just wanted to hide from everything and everyone.
"How could Bellamy do this to me?" was all that replayed in my head. Preaching about being for our own people and he couldn't even be there for his own girlfriend.
Why would Bellamy bash me about betrayal when he turned his back against his own girlfriend?
I never wanted to survive Priamfaya; my plan was to stay in Arkadia with Jasper all along until Bellamy changed my mind.
All the pain and suffering I went through in the bunker would've been all avoided if Bellamy never dragged me into surviving for him. The worse six years of my life was for him and he threw it all away.
'Ow my shoulder! I just got shot you know!' John and I bumped into each other as I turned the corner. He saw my face wet from tears and quickly turned to my direction. 'Woah, what's wrong Y/N?'
'Nothing.' I mumbled to myself but John knew it was bullshit.
He pulled me into the room that was right by us, sat down on a chair and sighed. 'Want to try lying to me again?'
All the bullshit Bellamy has been putting me through, I didn't want to repeat again. Thinking about it would've made me angrier and I also didn't want to cry harder in front of Murphy.
Bellamy betraying me hurt me but what was even worst was that he made me feel terrible about the way I acted down at the bunker.
I already knew I was a mess down there, I knew what I did was wrong. Everyday I walked down the halls at the bunker as Skafaiya, I regretted every single thing I've done.
After all the worse things I could possibly do in a life time, John still saw me for who I truely am. He gave me light and hope that I desperately need right now. Especially when I didn't deserve it.
'Did you mean all the things you said about me?' I just wanted the pain to be over; with all the constant backstabbing that was happening around me, I wanted to be with someone that truely cared about me. 'When you said that I'm not a bad guy.'
'Y/N, you're one of the most selfless person I've ever met. You do the things you do because you care about people, I know that and so does Raven.'
Leaning down to the chair, I gave him a kiss. John was highly confused on what was going on, he pulled away. 'Wha- what are you doing?'
'I thought that's what you wanted.' I muttered under my breath.
'So what about Bellamy?'
'What about him?'
John licked his lips and whispered. 'Y/N, if you're fucking with me I swea-'
'I'm not.' I looked into his eyes as I cupped his cheeks. 'I want you, John.'
'Okay... okay.' He nodded as he accepted my kiss this time, gently pulling my body on top of his lap.
It was an odd feeling, being intimate with John again but in a good way. A great way.
All the touches from him I never thought I'd miss, his aggressive but gentle grip was so nostalgic. The more I thought about it, the more I felt like this was supposed to happen. John and I were supposed to be together again.

This is my first time ever writing a proper fanfic and also my first time posting it online. Criticisms are very much welcome. This is my alternative ending to the cartoon series "Clone High" (you guys should check it out, it's pretty great!) I love this pairing so much but I hated how they ended up sleeping together because I've always believed in character development and the ending felt like it wasted a good opportunity to do so.
_________________________________________
Enchanted (a joanfk fanfic)
How did it come to this?
Two bodies pressed against each other, one of which is hovering above it's counterpart, hot and eager to make contact. Then the other, whom lies beneath them writhing in discomfort yet somewhat obvious pleasure.
Never in Joan's life had she imagined herself being the latter in such an obscene situation.
Well atleast not with somebody else other than her bestfriend and absolutely not, emphasis on the word "not", with the certain campus playboy she used to avoid like a plague.
Heck, if someone told her last night that she would end up sleeping with JFK, she would've laughed her ass off for solid 10 minutes! Then proceed to sock their teeth off for even suggesting such an absurd idea.
But as she felt his breath fan against her bare neck, she felt her own hitch.
His lips met with her flushed skin and in their wake, left along little trails of pleasure of which accumulated into an emotion something else entirely.
Guilt.
It seeped into her flesh and gnawed upon her being.
Yet the feeling of betrayal against one's morals only increased tenfold when she made no protest to stop the male from completely lifting her shirt off.
Oh God, She actually moaned.
The himbo was not to be blamed of course. His previous advances had always been outright rejected, so as ecstatic as he was, her sudden change of heart confused him. An even bigger surprise to the both of them was when it was her who initiated the idea.
It's not like her to act like this. Was she really that frustrated beyond rational thoughts?
To make things even worse, it wasn't only the disappointment she has towards herself that's weighing on her mind but also of another person very much important to her.
Abe.
They've known each other since like forever.
Now, what would be a better way to ruin a good natured friendship other than one of them developing feelings for the other?
Just to her luck, she had to be the one who does the falling, whilst her companion seemed less than eager to catch her.
As if it's the universe's way to spite her, Abe suddenly decided to date someone else.
And of course, it just had to be none other than Cleo-fhking-patra.
Seeing them together at the school campus in a daily basis was already bad enough, now living under the same roof as her and all---she also had to suffer listening through the sloppy noises they make whenever they're eating their faces off.
She swears to god everytime cleo glances at her with that look of victor in her eyes, her blood boils so much. Oh, if only she was given an opportunity to poke them out with a fork.
Then, in a final attempt to win him over, Joan had to walk around wearing those god-forbid clothes and laugh in that shrill god-awful tone.
Yet to no avail, her feelings are still unreciprocated.
In the end even as a giggling vapid slut, Abe still chose Cleo over her.
Just like he always did.
He even seemed supportive with her hookup with JFK.
Another fuel added to the fire.
Now she felt really silly exerting all those efforts just for his approval.
She always berates Cleo for being such a slut but is she really better after how desperate she acted?
Maybe if only she'd been straight forward with him from the start, things would've ended in her favor.
Or perhaps it was wrong of her to seek reciprocity. Love, after all should be unconditional.
Either way, it's too late now.
She's so pathetic.
Suddenly a voice called out to her, a sudden ripple in her stream of thoughts, breaking her out from of her stupor.
Looking sideways, her eyes met with familiar droopy ones.
She hadn't even noticed that he had stopped moving a little while ago.
"H-huh?"
"Are you er, uh, alright?"
Oh. That's right.
She was with JFK, and they were about to have sex with each other.
"You were-uh, crying."
Immediately, she brought a hand to her cheek and felt the said liquid trailing down her cheeks.
Shuddering as she finally realized she was not only physically bare, but now also emotionally.
Great.
She atleast expected an expression of dissatisfaction from him, but the male said nothing and merely looked at her. Probably dumbstruck by the sudden turn of events.
The room was quiet except for her soft sniffles.
He seemed to fiddle with the bedsheets for a while before finally deciding to move closer to her.
"Can I er, touch you?"
Expecting him to continue on where they left but too tired to even protest, she made no movement whatsoever to stop the male. They might as well finish what they've started even tho the thought made her want to shut her eyes.
She was surprised however, when she felt his arms wrapping around her, securing her into a hug.
She turned to look at him, perplexed by the sudden act of affection that he is displaying.
"Did it not feel good?"
Ah, there he is.
Of course, It was just about his ego. How foolish of her to think that he, even for a bit, cared about her.
She tried to squirm away from his grip, her fists meeting with his chest. The male took this as a sign to loosen his hold of her but not as much to completely let go of her.
"I did something wrong didn't I?"
Her body suddenly ceased it's erratic movements. She turned to look at him, searching through his face for any signs of deception which instead, only offered a genuine expression of worry.
He was blaming himself.
He actually thought it was his fault that she was crying. That's why he stopped.
"I, er, um sorry.."
If she was already crying before, then she was definitely bawling her eyes out right now.
"N-no! It's not your fault i--why did you stop?" She exclaimed in between sobs. His hand settled itself on her waist while his other one made it's way to her hair, combing them in a way that's supposed to be therapeutic.
"There, there.."
"I wanted this, Kennedy! Isn't this what you also wanted?"
"Sure I do, but not when you're uh, like this." She lets out another sob. "Besides, If I do make you cry it's going to be for an entirely different reason, if you get my meaning."
"S-shut up.."
He suggestively wiggled his eyebrows at her causing her to roll her eyes. Normally, she would've been irked by his usual comments like this, but tonight must be a different case. They seemed to give her a weird sense of normalcy, and that somehow comforts her.
Her sudden movement made the male flinch, as if anticipating another punch for his pesky remarks, he was relieved however, when Joan just readjusted her head to lean into his chest more properly.
She found this actions of his comical, cute even if she dares, and she couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her lips.
"Have you calmed down now?"
"Yes, thanks Kennedy."
Silence enveloped the both of them for a while before Jfk decided to speak again.
"You know, this suddenly reminds him."
She hummed in acknowledgement.
"Uh, Lincoln."
"Oh."
JFK didn't fail to notice the weak croak in her voice.
"Yeah, it was around that time poncey died. It was just kinda like this, except ya' know, we weren't both naked."
She felt his chest rumble as both of them let out a chuckle, hers a bit stiffled from burrying her face into them further. Muttering, "That sounds just like him.." In a barely audible voice.
No words were exchanged afterwards. Silence embraced the room once again, the same way his arms did around her body. Warm and in contrast to the air outside---inviting.
The moon illuminated the dim room seemingly to say it's hello.
So she took the opportunity to get a good look at his face. There she could makeout the subtle movement of his nostrils as he breathes.
Inhale, exhale, Inhale, exhale, Inhale..
Till she found herself unconsciously moving to the same rhythm.
His eyes she noticed, are now droopier. As his upper lashes seeked to meet with his lower ones but never actually closed them as they were fixated onto her. Only now was she able to acknowledge the kindness she failed to notice that they seemed to always have.
Then his lips, which in contrast to the usual smirk he parades around campus, lost all it's cockiness and is now ghosting a faint smile.
He looked so endearing right now that she could only sigh.
Was this really the same guy who used to shove other kids into lockers before? The same one who used to view women as mere objects meant to gratify sensual pleasure?
I guess grief from Ponce's death did change him in ways even he is not aware of.
Or maybe, he's just not a complete asshole as she thought him to be.
It could also be that she's just lonely and desperate for any act of kindness so she clung into them when given. That would explain how she got into this situation in the first place.
But whatever the answer may be, there are two things that Joan is now sure of:
One, no one is irredeemable.
And two, the male never looked as much enchanting to her right now as he ever did before.

("and you didn't either" I feel threatened /j - 🌺)
She scrambled to fully wrap herself around him in a panic, thighs hugging his hips as she hooked her arms further around him. He could probably still get up, but he definitely couldn't pry her off. She held her vice grip for a few moments after he told her he was kidding, slowly releasing and melting back into him. Aimi crawled a little further up to lay her head comfortably on his chest. Eyes closed and completely relaxed, she let out a pleased hum when he held her tight.
"That sounds lovely.. I'd get to be with you aaall the time"
She smiled, running her fingers through his hair in circular motions, being careful to not tangle. Aimi pulled away briefly to wrap the covers around them both, pecking his lips and then his cheek before settling back down again. Her hand reached for his hair again, slower, sighing contently as she started to drift off.
"I love you."
She really liked saying that, feeling her whole body grow warm and melt impossibly further into him. She focused on the warmth of his hands on her body, smiling as she fell asleep.
-
Her limbs were sprawled all over the bed, yet she somehow remained on top of him. Aimi groaned softly as she woke up, shoving her face in the fabric of his dress and refusing to get up. She needed a shower, but she didn't want to let go. Giving him a bunny kiss and trying to linger as long as she possibly could, she got up.
Aimi took her shower as usual, peeking at the lump on her bed from the bathroom before sneaking out wrapped in a towel. She stood in front of her closet, dabbing at her still wet hair as she chose her outfit. Wrapping herself in a robe, Aimi sat herself down next to him, softly combing her fingers through his hair until he woke up.
"Good morning, angel"
She smiled, cupping his face. Glancing at the colorful mess across from them, she turned to him.
"Help me chose an outfit?"
“Only if you don’t mind, love of my life, salt of the earth, my only hope in my pitiful life, bright light of the entire world.” Nagito grinned, yeah this was normal.
Shuffling up fully, he blinked away the leftover sleep in his eyes; smiling as he realized he felt more refreshed from the full night's sleep, more so than he usually did. Eyeing the selection, he hummed in thought before standing up fully. Picking out a sage green floral halter dress, he handed it to her, uncertainty written over his features as he was unsure if she'd be alright with his pick.
"Though it may not be to your taste, I personally think it'd look flawless on you; however meaningful my opinion may mean," Nagito spoke softly, sleep still laced in his voice as his eyes that had been shining with love concealed by his eyelashes.
"Thank you..." He spoke in a small voice, unsure of what exactly he had been thanking her for. Perhaps it had been... Just everything they've done together up to this point; however fleeting it had been, he promised himself he'd cherish those moments for the rest of his life. "I'll reheat our breakfast as you change. If you need any assistance, please call me; I don't want you straining yourself with your leg." He reminded; hope could be achieved in many ways, but only after healing.
Shortly after leaving her room, he made his way to her fridge; a little too comfortably opening it as if it was his own.
Not turning around, until mid-sentence, Nagito wore a carefree grin on his face. "You know, you should never skip breakfast; it's the most important meal of the-" He went speechless as he saw her; a small embarrassing hiccup erupting from his throat as his pupils shaped into hearts.
The sound of a fire whooshing up and for a second he had wondered if that was his heart that had made such sound; who knows? Could be his heart burning up with his love for her- "Fyoom!"
Clutching his chest, slightly confused and startled his heart could make such a noise— before whipping his head around at the microwave that had been suffering a fire.
What a way to kick off the day.
"... Ah, I'm sorry; my horrendous luck has done it once again and now your microwave is at victim." He stated the obvious, smile faltering as he reached for a washcloth, running it over the tap water like it was routine —which it really was.
"I'm truly no good, huh? You deserve someone-" A satisfying sizzle of the damp washcloth slapping onto the angry fire, overlapped his voice. "Way better."
"Anyways, would you like to go out for breakfast instead?" There were still piles and piles of leftover food, but despite the fact that they could still probably reheat the food on the stove instead of the microwave; it'd probably be better if Nagito stayed away from anything involving heat, fire, and cooking.

Bad Prank
Yoongi x Reader
Genre: Temporary angst, fluff
Warnings: The bad prank does involve faking a death and consequent discussions of death so please, don’t read this if that makes you uncomfortable.
Author’s Note: This imagine is based off of an ask I received like two weeks ago about what Yoongi’s reaction would be to his wife pulling a fake death prank on him. The idea intrigued me so I decided to write about the subsequent fallout! I hope you guys enjoy it!
Tumblr media
“Yoongi, please.”
Silence.
“Yoongi, you know that I didn’t mean anything by it!”
Silence.
“Baby, come on. It was just a prank!” You had had the great idea of pranking Yoongi, just as a way of having a little fun together. You had planned a fake death prank, complete with fake blood from the gag store and everything. You had picked a time when Kinsley would be off at school and when Yoongi would be coming home early from the studio. When he had gotten home, he’d found you arranged in the hall by the front door, with fake blood pooling out of your mouth. He had reacted just like you knew he would, grabbing ahold of your body and crying over it. It’s when he was going to move and grab his phone to call an ambulance, that you hopped up and declared that it was a prank. His reaction after that, well, it hadn’t been what you were anticipating.
“Yoongi, I didn’t mean anything by it,” you repeated, reaching for his hand but he swiftly pulled it away from you when your fingers brushed his. You moved to say something else but the doorbell rang. Giving one last glance to Yoongi, you got up from the couch and walked over to the door, opening to find Kinsley and your best friend, who is also Kinsley’s god mother.
“Hey girl,” she smiled and you did your best to return one to her.
“Hey,” you said, a laugh escaping you when Kinsley moved forward and hugged your leg. “Hi, how was your day sweetheart?” You asked her.
“Really good! Me and Y/BF/N went to get ice cream after she came and got me from school,” Kinsley announced excitedly and you looked back up at your best friend.
“I told you, no sweets,” you reminded her with a laugh.
“And I also told you that as her godmother, I can do whatever I want to,” she responded with a smirk.
“Is that my baby girl?” You heard Yoongi say and you looked down to see Kinsley peaking into the house around your legs.
“Daddy!” She shouted as she pushed past you and ran into the house, and you looked over your shoulder to see Yoongi picking her up and carrying her into the kitchen.
“Anyways, thank you for picking her up for me today,” you said as you turned back to your best friend.
“Ah, it was no problem! I love any time that I get with her, especially since her father likes to hog her,” your best friend responded.
“I heard that!” Yoongi yelled.
“You were supposed to!” Your best friend shouted back. “I have to go though, so I’ll call you later?”
“Yeah, we’ll get lunch or something,” you nodded before telling her goodbye and walking back into the house. You walked into the kitchen, where Yoongi had just set a cup of pudding down in front of Kinsley.
“Thank you Daddy,” Kinsley said politely as she picked up her spoon and started eating.
“No problem baby girl,” Yoongi smiled as he reached down and tweaked her nose, which made her giggle. He then turned to walk out of the room and you saw another chance to talk to him.
“Are you gonna talk to me now?” You asked him but he just kept walking, leaving you to lean against the wall in exasperation.
..........................
“Oh, thank God you’re here Y/N,” Namjoon murmured as he watched you walked into the BigHit building. It was day three and the whole silent treatment thing was still ongoing. To try and get Yoongi to break, you had decided to bring him some lamb skewers for lunch to the studio.
“Why, what’s going on?” You asked as you leaned aganist the front desk.
“That’s what I’m hoping you could tell me,” he said. “What the hell is wrong with Yoongi hyung? He’s been so irritable for the past,-”
“Three days,” you finished, making Namjoon arch an eyebrow up at you.
“Yeah,” he nodded slowly. “What’s up with him?”
“I uh, I played a bad prank on him and his reaction to it...wasn’t exactly what I expected,” you explained.
“What wasn’t as you expected?” Jimin asked as he walked up to you and Namjoon, Jungkook standing behind him.
“Y/N played a bad joke on Yoongi hyung and he didn’t react how she thought he would,” Namjoon explained for you.
“What was the prank?” Jungkook questioned.
“I pretended that I died,” you told them and they all grimaced simultaneously.
“Seriously?” Namjoon asked and you nodded.
“Fake blood and everything.”
“Wow, no wonder hyung’s been so mean,” Jimin murmured.
“Yeah, he’s been giving me the silent treatment ever since so we’re all suffering from his wrath,” you said. Just then, you heard Yoongi’s voice.
“I thought we were only taking a 5 minute break,” he said.
“Sorry hyung, we just ran into Y/N and were catching up,” Jungkook explained and Yoongi nodded.
“I brought you lunch,” you offered lamely, and Yoongi just looked at you blankly.
“Um, Jungkook, Jimin, why don’t we head back into the studio?” Namjoon suggested and Jimin and Jungkook both nodded, quickly following behind Namjoon as they walked away from you and Yoongi.
“Look, I know that you’re still mad at me and you have a right to be,” you started but you immediately stopped when Yoongi stepped forward and grabbed the bag that held the skewers from your hand. He gave you one even look before turning around and walking back down the hall to the studio, leaving you stunned as you stood there.
..........................
Five days passed by and Yoongi still wouldn’t talk to you. You had tried everything but he just wouldn’t budge. On that morning, you had the day off of work so after Yoongi had left for the studio, you and Kinsley were cuddling in bed together.
“Mommy?” Kinsley called and you looked down at her, smiling softly.
“Yes sweetheart?”
“Is Daddy mad at you?” She wondered and your eyes widened a little in surprise.
“Why do you ask?”
“Because he doesn’t talk to you a lot, like he always does,” she explained and you huffed a laugh, knowing that you should’ve known that Kinsley and her silent observations would notice that things were amiss between you and Yoongi; hell, she gets that silent observation from her father.
“He is mad at me,” you confirmed.
“Why?”
“Because,” you started, pausing to try and find the right words to explain it to her. “I did something that I shouldn’t have and it hurt Daddy’s feelings.”
“Soooo,” Kinsley dragged out, making you chuckle. “He’s sad and not mad?”
“He’s probably both,” you told her.
“Oh,” she muttered. “I asked Daddy too, if he was mad.”
“And what did he say?”
“He told me he was mad and that it’s ok to be mad,” she repeated and you nodded.
“He’s right, it is ok for him to be mad,” you agreed.
“He won’t be mad forever,” Kinsley announced suddenly, making you smile again as you looked down at her.
“And how do you know that sweetheart?”
“Because he loves you,” she replied. You stared at her for a moment, before kissing her cheek and pulling her closer to your chest.
.........................
Seven days passed and you had given up on any hope of Yoongi talking to you any time soon. The only option that you had was to just let his anger run it’s course and only hope that it wouldn’t last to long (which, knowing your husband, was a long shot in itself).
You were laying in bed after putting Kinsley down for the night, having somewhat gotten used to falling asleep by yourself before Yoongi creeped inside. You were almost asleep when you felt him slip into bed next to you, and you were surprised to feel him wrap his arms around your waist and pull you back so that your back was right up against his chest.
“Yoongi,” you murmured but he quickly shushed you.
“Hush, just let me talk, ok?” He muttered and you nodded as you opened your eyes, looking into the darkness. “I’m sorry for giving you the silent treatment for the past week. That was....childish of me but I need you to understand why I did it. Alright?” He said and you nodded quietly.
“When I came in the house and found you on the floor like that Y/N-ah,” he paused to take a deep breath. “My whole world stopped. There were so many things that ran through my mind, like how was I gonna tell Kins and how was I gonna raise her without my best friend and I was trying to remember if I had even told you that I loved you before I left that morning.”
“Yoongs,” you sniffled, feeling tears well up in your eyes but he just shushed you again.
“You’re my best friend Y/N-ah, you’ve been my best friend for damn near 10 years. Imagine me having to start all over and loosing the person who knows me the best. Not to mention the fact that we have a beautiful daughter together and I couldn’t imagine her not knowing you. I mean, imagine me having to raise our daughter who looks exactly like my dead wife. That wouldn’t be the easiest thing in the world. In short, loosing you is my greatest fear.”
“Yoongi, baby,” you sobbed, turning over and hiding your face in his neck as you cried loudly. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you like that.”
“I don’t want you to even think about leaving me until we’re both old and wrinkled and yelling at kids to stay off our grass,” he said, making you laugh softly through your tears. “And even then, I wanna be the one to go first.”
“And what the hell makes you think that I want to live without you either?” You whispered as you looked up at him.
“Guess we’ll just have to go together when that time comes, huh?” He joked and you leaned your forehead against his chin. “But do you understand why I ignored you now?”
“You were hurt and trying to process,” you said and he nodded. “Also, you didn’t say this but you’re my husband and I know you, but were you also mad that I didn’t already know how you’d feel by pulling that prank?”
“Yeah,” he muttered softly.
“Oh Yoongi, I’m so sorry.”
“Stop apologizing so much, it’s weird coming from you,” he rolled his eyes playfully and you smacked his chest.
“Don’t joke right now, I’m sensitive from a week of silence,” you pouted, making him laugh.
“I love you baby,” he told you, leaning down and kissing you passionately.
“I love you too, so much,” you whispered against his lips.
“How about I try to make up for giving you the silent treatment for a week?” He offered and you pulled back to look at him.
“And how do you plan on doing that?”
“By giving you seven orgasms tonight,” he smirked and you smiled softly.
“I mean, if you think you can,” you teased him, squealing when he moved on top of you and kissed you hard.
