I need to see more people talking about how deep in the paint I Saw the TV Glow went for the neurodivergent girlies. My autistic girlies. My psychosis experiencing girlies. My maladaptive dissociation daydreaming girlies... where y'all at. Make some noise.

hey hi hello
here's your not so friendly reminder that there is NO "correct" way to be trans, non-binary, gender non-conforming, etc. there is no set of rules you need to follow to be the ✨p e r f e c t✨ enby. just because YOU may feel strongly one way about something, doesn't mean every single other gender non-conforming/non-binary/trans person has to feel the exact same. constantly bringing others down for not fitting into your exact, regimented, gender worldview is doing the EXACT opposite of supporting others.
k, stepping off my soapbox now

there’s so many ways that queerness exists in texts, unintentionally and intentionally, coded and uncoded and partially coded and baited and confused and limited and expansive, and then there’s whatever is happening with Hawkeye Pierce, M.D. of the 4077th MASH unit

just watched the barbie movie everyone was discoursing about last year and I can't help but feel like a lot of the problems in its execution could have been avoided if the kid character's arc had been about learning to embrace girly stuff as an act of rebellion against the adultification of teen girls while barbie went full butch transmasc

Hey if you don’t mind sharing what’s the name of the t Muir short story where the woman kills a dragon and she and her love interest go into business together as professional monsters? It sounds great!
it's called princess floralinda and the forty-flight tower! I recommend it

Sometimes I see people misinterpreting Arya's character and honestly, all it does is make me appreciate her that much more. George could've easily written her into as a basic archetype and instead, he gave us one of the most complex and well-developed characters in the series and I'm forever grateful for that 🫶🏾

I always feel so weird seeing Hazbin Hotel antis try to ruin the show by calling Vivziepop a bigot.
Vivziepop is a bisexual Latina.
Majority of both the Hazbin cast and Helluva cast are poc and queer.
The queerest of the queer Brandon fucking Rogers cowrites Helluva Boss.
All of the main characters, except Nifty, are queer in some way.
Blitzø and Husk are pansexual
Angel Dust and Stolas (I think) are gay
Vaggie is a lesbian
Millie, Moxie, Loona, and Charlie are bisexual
Alastor is aroace
Seriously, if you don’t like the show that’s fine. Black comedy isn’t for everybody. But making shit up for the express purpose of trying to ruin the show for others is incredibly mean and it’s harmful to the people working on it.

If I had a nickel for every character in this series who works to enforce the status quo of their evil many-planet empire while forced by that status quo to use illegal materials to present as a specific gender out of the wider-than-cis-human range of possibilities available to their species, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

i’m not saying repressing the gay isn’t a thing, it absolutely is, but you guys know that you don’t have to be gay to be repressed, right?

question: Is it morally wrong to lie about my AGAB online? I'm AFAB, but wearing the label of FTM or simply Trans makes me dysphoric to a level unimaginable. I cope by lying about my AGAB and saying I'm AMAB, but I've recently been thinking about the morality of doing so.
It's best not to assign morality to AGABs, anon. They're just labels after all.
Also: people online (and most people IRL) are not entitled to know what some doctor said about you when you were born. Calling yourself a male or saying you were AMAB/a cis man isn't problematic, because it's the internet and it doesn't matter. You're a male: end of story.
Even IRL trans people lie about their AGAB all the time for whatever reason (being stealth, not getting misgendered on forms, dysphoria, etc). Transfems and nonbinary people also lie about their AGAB.
Unless you're in a doctor's office/court/etc, you can say anything about your assigned sex you want! You could even say you were MTM (a trans man who feels like he's always been male in some way), refuse to talk about AGABs, or use a label like A?AB.

Not to be gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss, fleabag, black swan on main but I feel like we should explore more Wade Wilson femininity not only by his sexuality or his softness or his delicacy as Wade and Deadpool, but also his rage.
I'm saying that because he seems the exactly type of person who would hear a "You're acting crazy!" stop, turn to the person and say "I'll show you crazy" before setting fire in their clothes.
Give Wade the so called feminine rage he earned that shit.

Thought about what my own emotions might look and act like and so I ended up drawing what I think my Anxiety might be like!
It was real fun, and I definitely intend to do all the others soon!

huge fuckin shoutout to the express care doctor I saw today who was the first doctor who noticed that I had “Gender” marked as “Other” in my chart and casually asked me for my pronouns. nb folks stay winning.
I was only there for 20 minutes to get tested for strep/COVID/flu/RSV (all of which are spreading through my school atm. yaaaay teacher life.) I’ve seen dozens of doctors since getting diagnosed with Post-COVID in 2021, and this was the first time anyone had asked.
it just!! was nice. that’s all. made my very shitty day slightly better and took apporx 2 seconds.
healthcare has been a shitty shit place to work for the last few years. shoutout to y’all still trying to keep people healthy, and thanks for all the small things you do to make a patient feel a little more safe and comfortable. it means more than you think, sometimes.
